This paper presents an innovative design of a suite of low impact development (LID) facilities including eco-roofs, bio-retention cells, natural drainage system, rain gardens, porous pavement, cisterns and multi-functional detention pond in the complex of the Civil Structure Experimental Building at Shenzhen University. The LID facilities are designed for the multi-purposes usage including testing different growing media of the eco-roofs for nutrient removal, evaluating performances of eco-roofs, bio-retention cells, rain garden and porous pavement for stormwater attenuation and reduction, testing rain water harvest using cisterns and detention pond, and serving as sustainable educational and training facilities for engineering students and professionals. This state of the art design also includes water circulation system and preinstalled climate and hydrological data monitoring and collection systems. A beautiful landscape and tour path will be built for the visitors.

The boundaries of folk art are subjective, but the impetus for art is often associated with creativity, regarded with wonder and admiration along human history. The goal of our approach is to explore novel creative approaches of applying color into folk art with the help of computer-aided art design. A creative system is designed to aid the creative processes, and the system is able to generate novel effect on folk art color. The sequences are combined and selected, based on their different characteristics, in forms of reflecting the color styles. The system is of great significance for folk art color in computer-aided art design process.

The students who graduate from an artistic design program often receive cold eyes from people at the employment market full of fierce competitions, because they are in shortage of the practical experience. Through an investigation, it is found that the reason for this phenomenon is that the model of colleges and universities to train the art design personnel has been unable to the market demands. The update of the training model of a school is a process for a long time actually, and simultaneously the market demands on personnel changes more and more quickly.

In this article, base on operating experience and current technology, we raise that establish 3-D table first and base on determination of 3-D table structural points and structural lines, acquire virtual dress by defining related interval values. We also concluded some effective and practical methods for 3-D garment style generation. Through fabrication and display of 3-D style, it enables designers or customers to operate interactively in a good visible environment, and view real-time design results intuitively and precisely in any time. From 2-D to 3-D, garment style designs become easier and make it possible to realize automatic style graph to 2-D clipped sheets transformation.

In this paper, a preliminary discussion on new decoration style is conducted. Since the time for this study is short, this paper is insufficient in depth and width. The follow-up study will focus on the problem how to enhance the application of decorating elements in our local culture, thereby enabling product design to reflect regional culture and national & cultural characteristics better.

This paper research the application of digital media technology in art design. In the first place, this paper analyses the meaning of digital media technology. In the second place, this paper analyses the meaning of art design. In the third place, introduces the application of digital media technology in art design from three typical aspects. The three typical aspects are: 1) the application of digital media technology in animation design, 2) the application of digital media technology in exhibition design, 3) The application of digital media technology in costume design. Finally, is the conclusion and the prospect.

Three constitution design as a professional basic course, since it was introduced in china from bauhause in 1980’s have been more than half a century, times changed, especially computer technology has become a basic design instrument, this technology, have give a new fashion and how to adjust such changes should not only in technical, we should with the help of modern technical and the students’ actural situation take methods to stimulate students’ learning initiative and creativity in teaching.

The key task of reforming the practical teaching of the art design lies in applying a brand-new system of educational, practical and innovational teaching management and guidance into developing students’ independent practice, individuality and creative thinking patterns, and moreover achieving the aim of cultivating society-oriented, market-oriented, innovative, practical, highly-qualified, and comprehensive talents for the art design.

With the continuously introduction of modern teaching means, under the internet environment, use the multimedia technology to develop the CAI courseware of art course teaching could bring new effects of vision and auditory, abundant teaching content and information, change the traditional art teaching mode. The reasonable art design and arrangement made the teaching methods better than before.

The author, whose institute is undertaking a reform on teaching patterns, probed into and analyzed the current state of the teaching patterns for art design majors from a comprehensive university. In this article, the author brings up pros and cons of current teaching patterns, offering a new blueprint regarding the future directions to take, pointing out the positive and negative effects of the new curricular reform. It is the author’s desire that this article can provide some thought-provoking and significant ideas and suggestions for the reform on the curriculum of art design, and meanwhile, call to attention the problems and deficiencies found in practice.

Environment art engineering development faster and faster in the information age, the paper analyzes the semiotic characteristics of the information age, to promoting the rational use of environment art design engineering,. and to promote the cause of China’s environment art engineering for further development.

In this paper, a pedagogical system to visualize the students' motivation states for learning programming is proposed. This system can be used in E-Learning environments so that the instructors can assess the students' motivation states in real-time. This system is based on the Systematical Information Education Method (SIEM) assessment standard proposed by Dohi [1], which is used to assess the students' motivation to learn programming. In order to visualize the students' motivation states, the correlations between the factors in the SIEM assessment standard are mapped on the width of the arcs of the graph whose nodes are the factors in the standard. As the preliminary experiments, the introductory programming courses were offered to the students in the art design and digital design faculties at two universities. It has been found that in order to maintain or raise students' motivation it is more important to allow students to enjoy viewing the final results (artwork) of the programming than to make them strive to create more beautiful artwork.
