This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 14th Pacific Rim Collocated PRICAI 2016 Workshops on Artificial Intelligence, held in Phuket, Thailand, in August 2016.The 16 full papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 46 submissions. The are organized around the following topics: e-health mining; image, information and intelligent applications; artificial intelligence for educational applications; artificial intelligence for tourism; emphatic computing;artificial intelligence and applications.

This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-workshop proceedings of the 5th International Workshop on Empathic Computing, IWEC 2014, co-loacted with PRICAI 2014, held in Gold Coast, QLD, Australia, in December 2014, as well as the 6th International Workshop on Empathic Computing, IWEC 2015, and the 15th Workshop on Computational Models of Natural Argument, CMNA XV, both co-located with PRIMA 2015, held in Bertinoro, Italy, in October 2015.The 12 papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 32 initial submissions. The workshops are going alongside with the PRIMA 2015 Conference and are intended to facilitate active exchange, interaction and comparison of approaches, methods and various ideas in specific areas related to intelligent agent systems and multiagent systems.

This book comprises the refereed proceedings of the Workshop on Computation: Theory and Practice (WCTP)–2012, held in Manila, The Philippines, in September 2012. The workshop was organized by the Tokyo Institute of Technology, the Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research–Osaka University, the University of the Philippines Diliman, and De La Salle University–Manila and was devoted to theoretical and practical approaches to computation. The 22 revised full papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed. They deal with biologically inspired computational modeling, programming language theory, advanced studies in networking, and empathic computing.

Computation should be a good blend of theory and practice, and researchers in the field should create algorithms to address real world problems, putting equal weight on analysis and implementation. Experimentation and simulation can be viewed as yielding to refined theories or improved applications. The Workshop on Computation: Theory and Practice (WCTP)-2011 was the first workshop organized jointly by the Tokyo Institute of Technology, the Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research–Osaka University, the University of the Philippines Diliman, and De La Salle University–Manila devoted to theoretical and practical approaches to computation. This volume contains the papers presented at the 13th Annual Conference on Algorithmic Learning Theory (ALT 2002), which was held in Lub ¨ eck (Germany) during November 24–26, 2002. The main objective of the conference was to p- vide an interdisciplinary forum discussing the theoretical foundations of machine learning as well as their relevance to practical applications.
