United Bankshares Inc (Parkersburg, WV) is terminating its retail investment program management contract with the insurance broker Acordia Inc and is bringing its insurance brokerage operations in-house beginning in Jan 1996. United Bankshares, which has $1.8 billion in assets, is terminating its third-party management contract with Acordia so that it can receive all fees from its insurance operations.
