Very early-onset schizophrenia (defined as an onset of psychosis before 13 years of age) is a rare and severe form of the disorder which is clinically and neurobiologically continuous with the adult-onset disorder. Kleine-Levin syndrome (KLS) is a rare disorder of sleep diagnosed mainly on clinical grounds. It presents a unique diagnostic dilemma for neurologists and psychiatrists; especially due to a high risk of being diagnosed as a psychiatric condition like a mood disorder.
