This study presents an analysis of the sedimentary bed load behavior as well as oscillations in the form of cross sections of the main channels that make up the lower stretch of the Branco river upper basin. The methodology involved the lifting of the channel morphology, the sampling and classification of bed load. The results showed variations in the morphology of cross sections highlighting the profile of Paraíso Farm on the River Tacutu, with erosion of 263.88 m², and profile Island São Lourenço, in the Branco River, which showed deposition of 359.07 m². The survey of bed load indicated the predominance of coarse sand size sediments in the lower course of the Tacutu and Uraricoera rivers. The high Branco river channel presented materials formed mainly by medium sand, followed by coarse sand. The degree of sediment selection, monitoring pointed to a sort of bed load according to the position in relation to the thalweg. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
