In this work, we seek to reflect on teaching in a relationship that we call being-teacher, structured from an essay on theoretical reflections that articulate the production of subjectivity and professional identity, lecturing about personality in teaching, including collective/social and political dimensions. With the term being-a-teacher we argue about personality in teaching and its analytical powers of care, interpersonal connections and research as a teaching posture to infer about the teaching professional development, in the conception of a reciprocal integration between perceptions and agency. Reaffirming the impossibility of neutrality in the act of educating and of dissociating subject and teacher, understanding that personal experiences produce a political dimension of teaching action as a power of professional development when they are sustained in the premise of social justice by/in education, we point out an analytical space possible, from empirical elements, demarcating three axes called: identification, senses of belonging and investigative attitudes. This article is part of the research project “University Pedagogical Assistance: Singularities and Synchronicities in an International Scenario”, in progress since 2022. The problem that permeates the study is based on the silencing of educational policies regarding the training of university professors who, in the absence of direction and legal support, are left to personal and institutional initiatives reflecting motivations and conceptions specific to the time-space in which they are inserted. In the case of the Universidade de São Paulo (USP), the actions and programs developed show the singularities of an institution that has built its identity based on research. The objective is to investigate the programs and proposals developed within the scope of the Universidade de São Paulo, as well as to analyze this training from the perspective of professors and managers involved. The corpus of analysis is constituted by institutional documents (yearbooks, reports) and interviews with social actors involved with institutional programs for the training of university professors. Data analysis is based on content analysis in the thematic modality. The data show that the institutional place of training programs and proposals has been marked by disputes that reflect the interests of different groups and social agents, emphasizing that at USP issues related to teaching have historically been treated as management policy, which reveals its non-place. The objective of this article was to analyze how the professional development of experienced literacy teachers in the Municipal Education Network of Brusque (SC) happens. The methodology used is biographical, and data analysis is textual discursive. As a theoretical framework, the contributions of Garcia (1999, 2009a, 2009b, 2010), Vaillant and Garcia (2012, 2015, 2017) and Nóvoa (1992, 2009, 2010) were used. The results showed that: a) for all literacy teachers, the desire to be a teacher emerged in childhood; b) an initial period, accompanied by experienced teachers is essential, since initial training is the first formal stage of a professional development process that takes place throughout the teacher's life; and c) over the years, the teachers felt more confident. It is expected that the narratives favors a reflection on the professional development of teachers and that public education policies pay attention to the stages of this development, which is continuous. We present a synthesis of qualitative evidence from theses and dissertations about different mentoring programs that have promoted the professional development of participating beginning teachers (PIs). The programs were related to four research interventions focused on assisting the difficulties and demands of beginning teachers in Basic Education (EB) through mentoring programs. The support was carried out through professional conversations between novice and experienced beginner teachers with experienced teachers trained to act as mentors. The data analysis suggests that the mentoring model adopted in the development of the programs presents favorable elements for the beginning of the teaching career in different teaching areas and levels, and contexts of action, among other aspects. We indicate considerations about the mentoring model adopted and the relevance of further research on the programs and efforts of follow-up and induction of beginning teachers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
