The article highlights the political credibility of the Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne, due to the failure of the 4-year deficit reduction plan in 2012 budget. The reasons for failure of the plan include inability of the Office of Budget Responsibility (OBR), an advisory non-departmental public body in Great Britain, to predict the economy, revision of the budget, and 16 percent deficit reduction. Thus, resulting in 58 percent dissatisfaction rating in Osborne's personal ratings.
