By means of Clifford Algebra, a unified language and tool to describe the rules of nature, this paper systematically discusses the dynamics and properties of spinor fields in curved space-time, such as the decomposition of the spinor connection, the classical approximation of the Dirac equation, the energy-momentum tensor of spinors and so on. To split the spinor connection into the Keller connection Υμ∈Λ1 and the pseudo-vector potential Ωμ∈Λ3 not only makes the calculation simpler, but also highlights their different physical meanings. The representation of the new spinor connection is dependent only on the metric, but not on the Dirac matrix. Only in the new form of connection can we clearly define the classical concepts for the spinor field and then derive its complete classical dynamics, that is, Newton’s second law of particles. To study the interaction between space-time and fermion, we need an explicit form of the energy-momentum tensor of spinor fields, however, the energy-momentum tensor is closely related to the tetrad, and the tetrad cannot be uniquely determined by the metric. This uncertainty increases the difficulty of deriving rigorous expression. In this paper, through a specific representation of tetrad, we derive the concrete energy-momentum tensor and its classical approximation. In the derivation of energy-momentum tensor, we obtain a spinor coefficient table Sabμν, which plays an important role in the interaction between spinor and gravity. From this paper we find that Clifford algebra has irreplaceable advantages in the study of geometry and physics.

This paper deals with the study of the existence and non-existence of solutions of a three-parameter family of nonlinear fractional differential equation with mixed-integral boundary value conditions. We consider the &alpha, Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative, with &alpha, &isin, ( 1 , 2 ] . To deduce the existence and non-existence results, we first study the linear equation, by deducing the main properties of the related Green functions. We obtain the optimal set of parameters where the Green function has constant sign. After that, by means of the index theory, the nonlinear boundary value problem is studied. Some examples, at the end of the paper, are showed to illustrate the applicability of the obtained results.

For personalized recommender systems, matrix factorization and its variants have become mainstream in collaborative filtering. However, the dot product in matrix factorization does not satisfy the triangle inequality and therefore fails to capture fine-grained information. Metric learning-based models have been shown to be better at capturing fine-grained information than matrix factorization. Nevertheless, most of these models only focus on rating data and social information, which are not sufficient for dealing with the challenges of data sparsity. In this paper, we propose a metric learning-based social recommendation model called SRMC. SRMC exploits users’ co-occurrence patterns to discover their potentially similar or dissimilar users with symmetric relationships and change their relative positions to achieve better recommendations. Experiments on three public datasets show that our model is more effective than the compared models.

This paper proposed a definition of the fractional line integral, generalising the concept of the fractional definite integral. The proposal replicated the properties of the classic definite integral, namely the fundamental theorem of integral calculus. It was based on the concept of the fractional anti-derivative used to generalise the Barrow formula. To define the fractional line integral, the Grünwald–Letnikov and Liouville directional derivatives were introduced and their properties described. The integral was defined for a piecewise linear path first and, from it, for any regular curve.

The purpose of this paper is fourfold: (i) to introduce and study the Euler&ndash, Lagrange prolongations of flatness PDEs solutions (best approximation of flatness) via associated least squares Lagrangian densities and integral functionals on Riemannian manifolds, (ii) to analyze some decomposable multivariate dynamics represented by Euler&ndash, Lagrange PDEs of least squares Lagrangians generated by flatness PDEs and Riemannian metrics, (iii) to give examples of explicit flat extremals and non-flat approximations, (iv) to find some relations between geometric least squares Lagrangian densities.

We consider mixture experiments in which the proportions of the components must be non-negative and their sum must equal one. Thus, the experimental region for a mixture of components is a simplex. Li and Zhang (2017) made the conjecture that the pseudo component transformation of the lattice points in the simplex has a special property. In this paper, we show that this conjecture is not true in general. Furthermore, we refine this conjecture and prove the refined conjecture.

In this paper, we study sums of finite products of Chebyshev polynomials of the first kind and Lucas polynomials and represent each of them in terms of Chebyshev polynomials of all kinds. Here, the coefficients involve terminating hypergeometric functions 2 F 1 and these representations are obtained by explicit computations.

Riemann’s method is one of the definitive ways of solving Cauchy’s problem for a second order linear hyperbolic partial differential equation in two variables. The first review of Riemann’s method was published by E.T. Copson in 1958. This study extends that work. Firstly, three solution methods were overlooked in Copson’s original paper. Secondly, several new approaches for finding Riemann functions have been developed since 1958. Those techniques are included here and placed in the context of Copson’s original study. There are also numerous equivalences between Riemann functions that have not previously been identified in the literature. Those links are clarified here by showing that many known Riemann functions are often equivalent due to the governing equation admitting a symmetry algebra isomorphic to S L ( 2 , R ) . Alternatively, the equation admits a Lie-Bäcklund symmetry algebra. Combining the results from several methods, a new class of Riemann functions is then derived which admits no symmetries whatsoever.

Normal bases are widely used in applications of Galois fields and Galois rings in areas such as coding, encryption symmetric algorithms (block cipher), signal processing, and so on. In this paper, we study the normal bases for Galois ring extension R / Z p r , where R = GR ( p r , n ) . We present a criterion on the normal basis for R / Z p r and reduce this problem to one of finite field extension R &macr, / Z &macr, p r = F q / F p ( q = p n ) by Theorem 1. We determine all optimal normal bases for Galois ring extension.
