Men are less interested and concerned about their health, they are more resistant to seeking health services. They almost always access these services in the acute phase of the injuries. The objective of the study was to understand the male experience related to the care offered in health services and the meaning of the health-disease process. This is an interpretative, descriptive study, in which twenty men, aged between 20 and 59 years, were interviewed in the period from February to July 2017, in a city located in the central region of the State of Goiás, Brazil. The data were collected through a semi-structured home-based interview and the data analysis method was interpretative thematic analysis according to Braun and Clarke. In terms of the care experience, the men described positive and negative aspects that marked the factors related to the search for care and the structural difficulties of these services. It became evident that the search for the service depends heavily on aspects related to the service hours (so that it does not interfere in office hours), the reception and the communication with the health professionals. For most men, health is fundamental, it brings independence, strength, life, wealth and tranquility. Some qualified health as wellbeing, as something that uplifts life, an essential condition for work. Although they mention health as the most important dimension of their lives, this representation actually shows that work is the most important and health is the element that brings to that man his best potential for work. The disease was mentioned as a very bad feeling that something is not going well, that brings about dependence, fear of being disabled, not being able to work and providing sufficient financial resources to care for the family. It was identified as limiting, hindering leisure and mainly work. When describing care for their own health, most men, despite acknowledging the importance of getting an annual check-up and health care, justified that due to fatigue at work, routine and busy life, they do not practice this routinely. Others showed concern only with family and highlighted out that man likes to acquire valuable items. The results present indicators for professionals, municipal, state and federal managers to know the male perspective on the health process, disease and health care and, with that, to evaluate the appropriateness of the interventions that have been implemented, as well as to plan other more effective interventions, especially in primary health care actions for the promotion of human health. Estudos comprovam que a expectativa de vida dos homens comparando às mulheres é menor em praticamente todas as faixas etárias, e o risco para mortalidade precoce é maior. Os homens são menos interessados e preocupados com sua saúde, tem mais resistência para buscar os serviços de saúde. Eles quase sempre, acessam esses serviços na fase aguda dos agravos. O objetivo do estudo foi compreender a vivência masculina relacionada ao atendimento ofertado nos serviços de saúde e o significado do processo saúde-doença. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo interpretativo, no qual foram entrevistados vinte homens, com idade entre 20 e 59 anos, no período de fevereiro a julho de 2017, em um município localizado na região central do Estado de Goiás, Brasil. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevista semiestruturada, nos domicílios e o método de análise de dados foi a análise temática interpretativa segundo Braun e Clarke. Em termos da vivência do atendimento os homens descreveram aspectos positivos e negativos que marcaram os fatores relacionados a busca por atendimento e as dificuldades estruturais desses serviços. Ficou evidente que a busca pelo serviço depende fortemente de aspectos relacionados ao horário de atendimento (de modo que não interfira no horário de trabalho), do acolhimento, da comunicação com os profissionais de saúde. Para a maioria dos homens a saúde é fundamental, traz independência, força, vida, riqueza e tranquilidade. Alguns qualificaram a saúde como bem-estar, como algo que traz ânimo para vida, condição essencial para o trabalhar. Embora mencionem a saúde como a dimensão mais importante da sua vida, essa representação na verdade mostra que o trabalho é o mais importante e a saúde é o elemento que traz para esse homem o seu melhor potencial para o trabalho. A doença foi mencionada como uma sensação muito ruim de que algo não vai bem, que traz dependência, medo de ficar inválido, de não conseguir trabalhar e prover recursos financeiros suficientes para cuidar da família, foi identificada como limitante, e que atrapalha o lazer e, principalmente, no trabalho. Ao descreverem sobre o cuidado com sua própria saúde, verificou-se que a maioria dos homens, apesar de reconhecerem a importância de realizar o check-up anual e cuidar da saúde, justificaram que em função do cansaço do trabalho, da rotina e da vida corrida não o fazem de modo rotineiro. Outros demostraram preocupação apenas com família e destacaram que o homem gosta de adquirir bens de valores. Os resultados apresentam indicadores para que profissionais, gestores municipais, estaduais e federais conheçam a perspectiva masculina sobre o processo de saúde, doença e cuidado em saúde e, com isso, possam avaliar a adequação das intervenções que tem sido implementadas, assim como, planejar outras intervenções mais eficazes em especial nas ações promovidas pela atenção primária em saúde para a promoção da saúde do homem.

GOAL: To analyze the prevalence and factors associated with sedentary behavior in children. METHOD: A cross-sectional study conducted between April and July 2014 with 6 and 7-year-old schoolchildren of both sexes enrolled in public elementary schools in the city of Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil. For the data collection, a form containing socio-demographic and lifestyle information was used. The use of television and / or computer / video games for a time equal to or greater than 4 hours / day was defined as sedentary behavior. The differences between proportions were evaluated by the Chi-square test. The independent variables with p value ≤ 0.20 in the bivariate analysis were selected for multiple analysis and included in the binomial logistic regression model. A statistical significance level of 5% was considered. RESULTS: The overall prevalence of sedentary behaviors was 43.6%. Among the 482 children studied, 52.9% were female. In the multivariate analysis, the variables that remained associated with the sedentary behaviors were: male (OR = 1.72, 95% CI, 1.20-2.50); passive transfer to school (vehicle / motorbike) (OR = 1.28, 95% CI 1.06-1.56) and number of people in the residence (≥ 6 people) (OR = 2.43, 95% CI 1.39 -4.22). CONCLUSIONS: The proportion of schoolchildren in sedentary activities was high. Boys with passive transfer to school and belonging to large families were associated with sedentary behavior. Stimulating physical activity and healthy lifestyle at school, community and family should be established early in life. O uso indiscriminado das novas tecnologias podem levar as crianças a comportamentos sedentários podendo manter-se na adolescência até a vida adulta. OBJETIVO: Analisar a prevalência e os fatores associados ao comportamento sedentário em crianças. MÉTODO: Estudo transversal conduzido entre abril e julho de 2014 com escolares de 6 e 7 anos de idade, de ambos os sexos, matriculados nas escolas públicas do ensino fundamental do município de Goiânia, Goiás, Brasil. Para o levantamento dos dados, foi utilizado um formulário contendo informações sociodemográficas e de estilo de vida. Definiu-se como comportamento sedentário o uso de televisão e/ou computador/vídeo games por um tempo igual ou superior a 4 horas/dia. As diferenças entre proporções foram avaliadas pelo Teste Qui -quadrado. As variáveis independentes com valor de p ≤ 0,20 nas análises bivariáveis foram selecionadas para análise múltipla e incluídas no modelo de regressão logística binomial. Foi considerado nível de significância estatística de 5%. RESULTADOS: Das 482 crianças estudadas, 52,9% eram do sexo feminino. A prevalência global de comportamentos sedentários foi de 43,6%. Na análise multivariada as variáveis que permaneceram associadas com os comportamentos sedentários foram: o sexo masculino (OR = 1,72; IC95% 1,20-2,50); deslocamento passivo para a escola (veículo/moto) (OR = 1,28; IC95% 1,06-1,56) e número de pessoas na residência ( ≥ 6 pessoas) (OR = 2,43; IC95% 1,39-4,22). CONCLUSÕES: Foi elevada a proporção de escolares em atividades sedentárias. As crianças do sexo masculino, com deslocamento passivo para escola e pertencentes a famílias numerosas foram associadas a terem comportamentos sedentários. Estimular atividades físicas e esti lo de vida saudável na escola, na comunidade e na família deve ser estabelecido em fases precoces da vida.

With this, many interventions were adopted routinely and indiscriminately, with episiotomy being one of them. The objective of this study is to describe the experience of women submitted to episiotomy / episiorrhaphy after the late puerperium. This is an exploratory, descriptive study with a qualitative approach, based on field research. The data were collected in two moments, the first with the application of an evocation questionnaire, which were requested for first and third person transmission and, respectively, gathered in a database processed in the EVOC software. At the end of this stage, a total of 10% of women participated in an open-ended in-depth interview, whose contents were transcribed in full and the text formatted in a single corpus for reading in the IRAMUTEQ software, in the option Hierarchical Descending, with emission of the result in the format of Dendogram. Young women with full secondary education participated. From the evocations issued, there is a coincidence of the signs that make up the upper left quadrant of the four-house picture, regardless of whether they are said in the first or third person, namely Pain and Need, these supposedly the elements of the central nucleus of the representation of the object studied, seen that in general, the other evocations support the representations contained in the central nucleus. However, they point to some change in this, the issue in the name of the term impotence, this as an element of the second periphery, and said in the third person, the expression lack information, which appears as an element of contrast, and in the second periphery, terms which point to the negative genital image after the procedure. The textual part analyzed resulted in the dendogram with two axes which classified the approaches related to aspects of living as a woman and maternal experience. In the first axis appear two classes, one with content relative to the aspect sexuality, and the other about the personal feelings. The second axis has a class, which portrays the maternal feelings. The episiotomy appears in the speech as a procedure little known before the experience lived, however understood as necessary for the positive outcome of childbirth. Despite this, it is perceived as a negative experience, due to physical and emotional pain, distortion of the genital image, and consequent difficulty to return to active sexual life. It is of fundamental importance that there is a change in obstetric care to make childbirth safer and to improve the quality of women's experience in the process of parturition. O parto inicialmente visto como evento fisiológico na vida de uma mulher, com o avanço da tecnologia se torna procedimento técnico e institucionalizado. Com isso, muitas intervenções passaram a ser adotadas de forma rotineira e indiscriminada, sendo a episiotomia uma delas. Objetiva-se descrever a vivência de mulheres submetidas à episiotomia/episiorrafia após o puerpério tardio. Trata-se de um estudo exploratório, descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa, realizado a partir de pesquisa de campo. Os dados foram coletados em dois momentos, o primeiro com a aplicação de questionário do tipo evocação, estas solicitadas para emissão em primeira e terceira pessoa e, respectivamente, reunidas em banco de dados processado no software EVOC. Concluída essa etapa, um total de 10% de mulheres participaram de entrevista aberta em profundidade, cujo conteúdo após transcrito na íntegra e o texto formatado em um único corpus para leitura no software IRAMUTEQ, na opção Classificação Hierárquica Descendente, com emissão do resultado no formato de Dendograma. Participaram mulheres jovens com ensino médio completo. Das evocações emitidas, há coincidência dos signos que integram o quadrante superior esquerdo do quadro de quatro casas, independente se ditas em primeira ou terceira pessoa, quais sejam, Dor e Necessidade, estas supostamente os elementos do núcleo central da representação do objeto estudado, visto que no geral, as demais evocações sustentam as representações contidas no núcleo central. Entretanto, apontam para alguma mudança quanto a isso, a emissão em nome próprio do termo impotência, este como elemento de segunda periferia, e dito em terceira pessoa, a expressão falta informação, que aparece como elemento de contraste, e na segunda periferia, termos que apontam para a imagem genital negativa após o procedimento. A parte textual analisada, resultou no dendograma com dois eixos os quais classificaram os enfoques relativos ao aspectos da vivência como mulher e vivência materna. No primeiro eixo aparecem duas classes, uma com conteúdo relativo ao aspecto sexualidade, e a outra acerca dos sentimentos pessoais. O segundo eixo tem uma classe, a qual retrata os sentimentos maternos. A episiotomia aparece no discurso como procedimento pouco conhecido antes da experiência vivida, entretanto compreendido como necessário para o desfecho positivo do parto. Apesar disso, é percebido como uma experiência negativa, devido às dores, física e emocional, distorção da imagem genital, e consequente dificuldade para retorno à vida sexual ativa. É de fundamental importância que haja mudança na atenção obstétrica para tornar o parto mais seguro e melhorar a qualidade da experiência das mulheres no processo de parturição.

We sought to identify the factors associated with the risk for the development of postpartum depression in postpartum women, as well as the specificities experienced from the perspective of the latter. Data collection was done in vaccine rooms of the seven health districts of the city of Goiânia, Goiás. Participants in the first stage of the study were 286 postpartum women, who responded to the sociodemographic data form and then applied the Post- Parturition of Edinburgh, analyzed for risk for PPD, according to scale evaluation score. In the second phase, an open in-depth interview was conducted with 25% of the participants who were part of the previous stage, whose content was processed in the ALCESTE software. The profile of the interviewees was primipara, brown skin color, complete elementary education, cohabitation with the partner, family income above one that a minimum wage. Most refer to planned, desired, and partner-supported gestation throughout the puerperal pregnancy period, as well as absence of a history of depression or DPP in the family. Of the total number of participants, 13.99% of postpartum women presented a risk score for PPD. The dendogram consists of two axes, the first containing three classes, aborting as a whole the maternal experience focusing on the attributions, difficulties and experiences. The second axis, called subjective aspects, has a class in which the senses involved in the process appear. The new attributions imposed by the arrival of the child and the reduced rest period are an important factor of overload, which relief is given by the support of the companion and help of family members in the division of tasks. In the context in which they are perceived, worries and crying without explanation are recurrent highlights. It is concluded that the application of the Edinburgh scale is an important tool to be used as routines for the detection of potential puerperal patients at risk for PPD. Trata-se de um estudo de abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa, sendo a primeira abordagem de caráter epidemiológico, descritivo do tipo transversal e a segunda, embasada no referencial teórico das Representações Sociais. Buscou-se identificar os fatores associados ao risco para desenvolvimento da depressão pós-parto em mulheres no puerpério, bem como especificidades vividas na perspectiva das mesmas. A coleta de dados foi feita em salas de vacina dos sete distritos sanitários da cidade de Goiânia, Goiás. Participaram da primeira etapa do estudo, 286 puérperas, as quais responderam a formulário sobre dados sociodemográficos, e em seguida aplicada a Escala de Depressão Pós-Parto de Edinburgh, analisadas quanto ao risco para DPP, conforme escore de avaliação da escala. Na segunda fase, foi realizada entrevista aberta em profundidade com 25% de participantes que integraram a etapa anterior, cujo conteúdo obtido foi processado no software ALCESTE. O perfil das entrevistadas foi de primíparas, cor de pele parda, ensino fundamental completo, coabitação com o parceiro, renda familiar acima de um que um salário mínimo. A maioria refere gestação planejada, desejada, e apoiada pelo parceiro por todo o período gravídico puerperal, bem como ausência de histórico de depressão ou DPP na família. Do total de participantes, 13.99% das puérperas apresentaram escore de risco para DPP. O dendograma é constituído por dois eixos, o primeiro contendo três classes, aborta no seu conjunto a vivência materna com foco nas atribuições, dificuldades e experiências. O segundo eixo, denominado aspectos subjetivos, tem uma classe na qual aparecem os sentidos envolvidos no processo. As novas atribuições impostas pela chegada do filho e o reduzido período para descanso, se configuram como importante fator de sobrecarga, cujo alívio é dado pelo apoio do companheiro e ajuda de familiares na divisão das tarefas. No contexto em que se percebem, preocupações e choro sem explicação são destaques recorrentes. Conclui-se que a aplicação da escala de Edinburgh é uma importante ferramenta a ser utilizada como rotinas para a detecção de potenciais puérperas em risco para DPP.

The active nurses in teaching profession have a working day that requires dedication, what causes disorders in their quality of life and sleep. The quality of life involves some social and cultural aspects, being characterized by the complete well-being of the person. A poor sleep quality can bring damages in the day-by-day of people. The sleep deprivation and the excessive drowsiness are related to the decrease in the quality of life and productivity. The quality of life and sleep and the sleep disturbance, like drowsiness in the nurse’s job, are recent concerns observed in researches. The aim of this study was to analyze the quality of life and sleep of nursing teachers. This is a dissertation in scientific paper, compounding two articles. A cross-sectional study, which sample was composed by 44 nursing teachers of public, community and private college education institutions from Goiânia – GO. Four tools were used: file of sociodemographic, labor and lifestyle habits profile, Questionnaire of Sleep Quality Index from Pittsburgh (PSQI), Epworth Drowsiness Scale (ESE) and the World Health Organization Quality of Life Questionnaire (WHOQOL). The average age of participants were 45,23 years old. There was prevalence of female teachers (86,4%) and with title of Master (38,6%). The average individual monthly income was R$9.379,00 (±5.612,00) reais. The findings showed that 38,6% are with a good sleep quality, 61,4% are with bad sleep quality and 52,3% had daily drowsiness. The most of teachers presented a good quality of life. The conclusion is that some factors impaired the quality of life’s perception of these teachers, like having a weekly working workload higher than 40 hours, working three shifts, using cell phone before sleeping, ingesting sleep medication, being younger, having higher income and less time of graduation and teaching. Teachers who have a higher individual monthly income and take sleep medication, have a worst sleep quality. Doctors who work more than 40 hours weekly present more daily drowsiness. This study can develop the managers’ view, with the purpose to improve the labor conditions of these professionals, what reflects in their quality of life and sleep, in personal or work sphere. A função do professor é ensinar, orientar e incentivar os discentes. O enfermeiro atuante na docência tem uma jornada de trabalho que requer dedicação, acarretando, distúrbios na sua qualidade de vida e do sono. A qualidade de vida envolve aspectos culturais e sociais, sendo caracterizada pelo completo bem-estar da pessoa. Uma qualidade ruim do sono pode acarretar prejuízos no dia a dia das pessoas. A privação do sono e a sonolência excessiva relacionam-se com a diminuição da qualidade de vida e da produtividade. A qualidade de vida e do sono e as alterações do sono, como a sonolência no trabalho do enfermeiro são recentes preocupações observadas em pesquisas. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi analisar a qualidade de vida e do sono de enfermeiros docentes. Dissertação em artigo científico, compondo dois artigos. Estudo transversal, cuja amostra foi constituída por 44 docentes enfermeiros de instituições de ensino superior público, comunitária e privado de Goiânia-GO. Foram utilizados quatro instrumentos: uma ficha de perfil sociodemográfico, laboral e de hábitos de vida; o Questionário de Índice de Qualidade do Sono de Pittsburgh (PSQI), a Escala de Sonolência de Epworth (ESE) e o questionário de Qualidade de Vida da Organização Mundial de Saúde (WHOQOL). Os participantes tinham média da idade de 45,23 (± 11,20). Houve prevalência de docentes do sexo feminino (86,4%) e com título de mestre (38,6%). A renda mensal individual média foi de R$ 9.379,00 (± 5.612,00) reais. Os resultados mostraram que 38,6% estão com a qualidade do sono boa e 61,4% ruim e 52,3% apresentaram sonolência diurna. A maioria dos docentes apresentou boa qualidade de vida. Conclui-se que alguns fatores prejudicaram a percepção da qualidade de vida destes docentes, como ter carga horária de trabalho semanal superior a 40 horas, trabalhar três turnos, utilizar celular antes de dormir, consumir medicação para dormir, ser mais jovem, ter maior renda e menos tempo de formado e de docência. Docentes que possuem maior renda mensal individual e que usam medicação para dormir têm pior qualidade do sono. Doutores e que trabalham mais de 40 horas semanais têm mais sonolência diurna. Este estudo pode desenvolver a visão dos gestores, com a finalidade de melhorar as condições laborais dos profissionais, refletindo desta forma na qualidade de vida e do sono dos mesmos, seja no âmbito do trabalho ou pessoal.

Cross-sectional analytical study. Participants were popular singers who work in the city of Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil. The interviews were carried out with the application of the World Health Organization Quality of Life-bref (WHOQOL-bref), Modern Singing Handicap Index (MSHI) and a sociodemographic and professional profile questionnaire for popular singers, prepared for this research. We included popular singers of both sexes and aged between 18 and 60 years; with or without vocal complaints; professional and non-professional singers who sing any genre of popular music. Those with a time of less than one year and those who acted exclusively as choristers or in vocal groups were excluded. The sample consisted of 206 participants. There was a negative, significant and predominantly weak correlation between MSHI and WHOQOL-bref, indicating that the lower vocal handicap was correlated with the better quality of life of popular singers. The WHOQOL-bref scores were 68.78; 70.13; 69,34 and 60,82 for the physical, psychological, social relations and environment domains, respectively. The scores reveal averages closer to 100, which suggests a perception of better quality of life and health. The IDCM scores were 8.96; 6.02 and 10.90 for the disability, handicap and defect subscales, respectively, and 25.88 for the total. Singers with higher income, older than 40 years and absence of vocal complaints presented higher scores of self-perception of quality of life and lower perception of vocal handicap. This study indicates the importance of considering the complexity, the multidimensionality and the subjectivity of the human being in the construct of the quality of life and also evidences the need of actions in attention to the health of popular singers, with approaches for the promotion to the general health and in the prevention of diseases, by Speech Therapy and other areas of health.The study also reinforces the importance of the application of instruments of self-perception of vocal handicap and quality of life in singers to help in choosing better ways for rehabilitation. The construction of a population-specific instrument should be considered. Pesquisa com objetivo de investigar a correlação entre o índice de desvantagem vocal e a qualidade de vida em cantores populares. Estudo transversal analítico. Participaram cantores populares que atuam na cidade de Goiânia, Goiás, Brasil. As entrevistas foram realizadas com aplicação dos instrumentos World Health Organization Quality of Life-bref (WHOQOL-bref), Índice de Desvantagem para o Canto Moderno (IDCM) e questionário de perfil sociodemográfico e profissional de cantores populares, elaborado para essa pesquisa. Foram incluídos cantores populares de ambos os sexos e com idade entre 18 e 60 anos; com ou sem queixas vocais; cantores profissionais e não profissionais, que cantam qualquer gênero da música popular. Foram excluídos aqueles com tempo de atuação inferior a um ano e os que atuavam, exclusivamente, como coralistas ou em grupos vocais. A amostra foi composta por 206 participantes. Houve correlação negativa, significante e predominantemente fraca entre o IDCM e o WHOQOL-bref, indicando que menor desvantagem vocal foi correlacionada à melhor qualidade de vida de cantores populares. Os escores do WHOQOL-bref foram 68,78; 70,13; 69,34 e 60,82 para os domínios físico, psicológico, relações sociais e meio ambiente, respectivamente. Os escores revelam médias mais próximas de 100, o que sugere percepção de melhor qualidade de vida e saúde. Os escores do IDCM foram 8,96; 6,02 e 10,90 para as subescalas incapacidade, desvantagem e defeito, respectivamente, e 25,88 para o total. Cantores com renda mais alta, idade acima de quarenta anos e ausência de queixas vocais apresentaram maiores escores de autopercepção de qualidade de vida e menor percepção de desvantagem vocal. Esse estudo indica a importância de se considerar a complexidade, a multidimensionalidade e a subjetividade do ser humano no constructo da qualidade de vida e evidencia a necessidade de ações, em atenção à saúde de cantores populares, com abordagem na promoção à saúde geral e na prevenção de doenças, por parte da Fonoaudiologia e demais áreas da saúde. O estudo reforça, também, a importância da aplicação de instrumentos de autopercepção de desvantagem vocal e de qualidade de vida em cantores para auxiliar na escolha de melhores caminhos para a reabilitação. A construção de um instrumento população-específica deve ser considerada.

The study involved all doses of injectable, prescribed, prepared and administered as well as the nursing professionals involved in the preparation and administration. Data collection took place over a period of 30 days in a care unit in the state of Goiás. It was performed in three stages: 1) Direct non-participant observation and registration of the information in a checklist during medication preparation and administration. 2) Record of prescription information in a validated and adapted checklist for this study; 3) Application of questionnaire to the professionals observed during the preparation and administration of the doses. The data was entered into an Excel worksheet and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The project was approved by the ethics committee of the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás under No. 1822.751 and met all the ethical aspects of human research. A total of 751 doses were studied, 746 doses given and 753 doses were evaluated. The study was attended by 25 nursing professionals, most of them between the ages of 30 and 39 years and professional experience from 01 to 10 years. The most frequent errors in the prescribed doses were the use of abbreviated way, failure to define infusion speed and the use of nonmetric expressions. In the preparation, the main errors found were associated to antimicrobial protection measures: hand hygiene; disinfection of vials and jars. Most failures in relation to the doses administered were related to the information of the drug administered; identification of the patient and identification of drug allergy. We can conclude that errors are present in medical prescription, drug preparation and administration, and good practices regarding preparation and administration need to be reviewed as well as the development of human resource skills and competencies and infrastructure adequacy to ensure safety the use of drugs in emergency units. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo com objetivo de caracterizar os erros na prescrição, no preparo e na administração de medicamentos em unidade de pronto de atendimento. O estudo envolveu todas as doses de injetáveis, prescritas, preparadas e administradas e assim como os profissionais de enfermagem envolvidos no preparo e administração. A coleta de dados ocorreu em um período de 30 dias em uma unidade de pronto atendimento do estado de Goiás. Foi realizada em três etapas: 1) A observação direta não participante e registro das informações em um checklist durante o preparo e administração dos medicamentos. 2) Registro das informações da prescrição em uma lista de verificação validado e adaptado para este estudo; 3) Aplicação de questionário aos profissionais observados durante o preparo e administração das doses. Os dados foram inseridos em uma planilha do Excel e analisados por meio de estatística descritiva. O projeto foi aprovado pelo comitê de ética da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Goiás sob nº 1.822.751 e atendeu todos os aspectos éticos da pesquisa em seres humanos. Foram observadas 751 doses preparadas, 746 doses administradas e avaliadas 753 doses prescritas. Participaram do estudo 25 profissionais de enfermagem, a maioria, com idade entre 30 a 39 anos e experiência profissional de 01 a 10 anos. Os erros mais frequentes nas doses prescritas foram o uso de via abreviada, falha na definição de velocidade de infusão e o uso de expressões não métricas. No preparo, os principais erros encontrados foram associados às medidas de proteção antimicrobiana: higienização de mãos; desinfecção de ampolas frascos e bancada. A maioria das falhas em relação às doses administradas foi relacionada à informação do medicamento administrado; identificação do paciente e identificação de alergia medicamentosa. Podemos concluir que os erros estão presentes na prescrição médica, no preparo e na administração de medicamentos e as boas práticas em relação ao preparo e administração precisam ser revistas assim como o desenvolvimento de habilidades e competências de recursos humanos e adequação de infraestrutura para garantir a segurança do uso de medicamentos em unidades de emergência.

The aim of the study was to analyze community-acquired UTI reports within female children and adolescents between 0 and 19 years of age, to assess susceptibility patterns and the evolution of Escherichia coli resistance. Method: Cross-sectional study, performed from 2011 to 2016, with the participation of four laboratories. All the positive urine cultures with the corresponding antibiogram were considered. Only the first report of each patient was included in the analysis, and the reinfection cases that occurred three or more months after the first one. Results: From the 149.179 evaluated antibiograms, 15.255 (10,22%) were positive urine cultures, of which 9.335 (89,81%) were E. coli that caused UTI in 720 (7,71%) women aged between 0 and 19 years. The highest resistance rates were the Ampicillin (57,9%) and the Trimethoprim + Sulfamethoxazole (27,5%), with progressive increase of resistance for all the evaluated antimicrobial agents. Conclusion: There was an increasing evolution resistance to the main first choice antibiotics for the community-acquired UTI treatment. Nitrofurantoin, Ampicillin + Sulbactam, Amoxicillin + Clavulanate and Amikacin are the viable alternatives for the empirical treatment of UTI caused by E. coli. Infecção do Trato Urinário (ITU) é uma das infecções bacterianas mais comuns na infância e causa morbidade aguda e crônica. O objetivo do estudo foi analisar os laudos de ITU de origem comunitária em crianças e adolescentes do sexo feminino com idade entre 0 e 19 anos para avaliar os padrões de suscetibilidade e a evolução da resistência de Escherichia coli. Método: Estudo transversal, realizado nos anos de 2011 a 2016, com a participação de quatro laboratórios clínicos. Todos os laudos das uroculturas positivas com o respectivo antibiograma foram considerados. Apenas o primeiro relatório de cada paciente foi incluído na análise e os casos de reinfecção ocorridos três meses ou mais após a primeira. Resultados: Dos 149.179 antibiogramas avaliados, 15.255 (10,2%) foram uroculturas positivas, das quais 9.335 (89,8%) foram a E. coli que causou ITU em 720 (7,7%) crianças e adolescentes do sexo feminino com idade entre 0 e 19 anos. As maiores taxas de resistência foram a Ampicilina (57,9%) e Trimetoprima + Sulfametoxazol (27,5%), com crescente evolução da resistência para todos os antimicrobianos avaliados. Conclusão: Houve crescente evolução da resistência aos principais antibióticos de primeira escolha no tratamento de ITU de origem comunitária. Nitrofurantoína, Ampicilina + Sulbactam, Amoxicilina + Clavulanato e a Amicacina são as alternativas viáveis para o tratamento empírico de ITU causada por E. coli.

The importance of evaluating the quality of life during adolescence, from the selfperception perspective, relies on it being a singular stage of life, marked by numerous physical and emotional transformations in young people with cerebral palsy, also it is a rarely addressed subject in literature. This perspective promotes the empowerment of this population, as they actively participate in the process of constructing information about their health condition. This is a descriptive crosssectional study, with the objective to evaluate the quality of life of adolescents with cerebral palsy. The dependent variable was the quality of life and the independent variables were: age group; to be enrolled in school; the nature of the school; the distribution of motor involvement; the GMFCS and to have gait.The instrument used to evaluate the quality of life was PedsQL 3.0, a specific module for cerebral palsy. The sample consisted of 101 adolescents with cerebral palsy who attended rehabilitation activities in philanthropic and / or public institutions in the city of Goiania-GO. The results showed that the majority of adolescents were males (57.4%); (77.2%), spastic (61.4%) and enrolled in a regular school (69.6%). The PedsQL domains of highest scores were "Pain" followed by "Daily activities", while those with lower scores were "Fatigue" and "School activities". Younger adolescents, from 10 to 14 years old, presented higher quality of life scores in the "movement and balance", "feeding" and “speech and communication” domains. Individuals who were enrolled in school showed higher scores for the domains "school activities" "movement and balance".Regular school students showed higher scores for "feeding" and "speech and communication" domains.Diplegic adolescents showed higher scores for the domains "daily activity" and "feeding". There was a difference in the quality of life of GMFCS individuals with higher scores for level I in relation to level IV, for the domain "daily activities". There was difference for those with higher scores for the domains of "daily activities" and "movement and balance".It was concluded that adolescents up to the age of 14, who studied in a regular school, that had gait, and were classified in level I, presented a better quality of life. These findings point to a need of new actions, aimed to the specific needs of this population. A paralisia cerebral é a principal causa de deficiência motora na infância. A avaliação da autopercepção da qualidade de vida durante a adolescência, fase singular, marcada por inúmeras transformações físicas e emocionais, em jovens com paralisia cerebral é importante, pois ainda é incipiente esse enfoque na literatura. Esta avaliação contribuirá para o empoderamento desta população, uma vez que os adolescentes estarão ativos no processo de construção do conhecimento sobre sua condição de saúde. Trata-se de um estudo transversal, descritivo, cujo objetivo foi avaliar a qualidade de vida de adolescentes com paralisia cerebral. A variável dependente foi a qualidade de vida e constituíram variáveis independentes: faixa etária; estar matriculado em escola; natureza escolar da escola; distribuição do acometimento motor; nível do Sistema de Classificação da Função Motora Grossa (GMFCS) e possuir marcha. Para avaliar a qualidade de vida, utilizou-se o instrumento PedsQL 3.0, módulo específico para paralisia cerebral. Compuseram a amostra 101 adolescentes com paralisia cerebral que participavam de atividades de reabilitação em instituições filantrópicas e/ou públicas na cidade de Goiânia-GO. Os resultados encontrados demonstram que a maioria dos adolescentes era do sexo masculino (57,4%); apresentava marcha (77,2%), era espástica (61,4%) e estava matriculada em escola regular (69,6%). Os domínios do PedsQL 3.0 com maiores escores e, portanto, melhor percepção de qualidade de vida, foram “Dor”, seguido de “Atividades cotidianas”, e os de escores menores, “Fadiga” e “Atividades escolares”. Adolescentes mais jovens, de 10 a 14 anos, apresentaram maiores escores nos domínios “movimento e equilíbrio”, “alimentação” e “fala e comunicação”. Aqueles matriculados em escolas obtiveram maiores escores nos domínios “atividades escolares” e “movimento e equilíbrio”. Estudantes de escola regular alcançaram maiores escores nos domínios “alimentação” e “fala e comunicação” e aqueles classificados como diplégicos, nos domínios “atividade cotidiana” e “alimentação”. Os participantes classificados nos níveis I GMFCS apresentaram maiores escores no domínio “atividades cotidianas”, quando comparados ao nível IV, e os andantes nos domínios de “atividades cotidianas” e “movimento e equilíbrio”. Conclui-se que os adolescentes de até 14 anos, que estudavam em escola regular, possuíam marcha e eram classificados no nível I apresentaram melhor percepção da qualidade de vida. Tais achados evidenciam a necessidade de estratégias de intervenção em saúde que contribuam para melhora da qualidade de vida, com enfoque na assistência de adolescentes mais velhos, inserção social para aqueles com maior comprometimento motor e melhor acessibilidade dos cadeirantes.

Exposure to improper work activities, poor posture during work are some factors that can lead to musculoskeletal disorders. The dissertation was constructed in scientific article, with the objective of measure the effects of ergonomic interventions on musculoskeletal symptoms, the ability to work and the quality of life of workers in the textile industry. The first article deals with a systematic review that aimed to analyze the effects of ergonomic interventions on the musculoskeletal symptoms of industrial workers. Two independent researchers conducted the search using the same combination of descriptors, musculoskeletal diseases and ergonomics or "human engineering" and workers, in Portuguese, English and Spanish in the electronic databases Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) and United States National Library of Medicine (PubMED), with studies published between 2007 and 2016, in Portuguese, English or Spanish; randomized clinical trial articles that evaluated the effects of ergonomics on musculoskeletal symptoms through the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (NMQ); and whose sample was of workers of industries. Repeated articles, which did not conclude the results, literature reviews, editorials, letters, comments, isolated case reports, dissertations or theses were excluded. 06 articles were included in the sample. Five studies presented positive results of ergonomic interventions in the reduction of musculoskeletal symptoms. It is evident that in executing an intervention protocol within the industry, in a monitored and controlled manner the results are better; associating job corrections and awareness raising ergonomics are also more effective; exclusive awareness interventions were effective with a minimum work load of 5 hours. The second article aimed to verify the effects of ergonomic interventions on musculoskeletal symptoms, work capacity and quality of life of workers in the textile industry. It is an analytical and cross-sectional study, carried out in two textile industries, the study group with 58 workers (that performs ergonomic interventions of awareness and work-related gymnastics) and the other, the control, with 49 workers (who do not perform ergonomic interventions of awareness). The instruments were: sociodemographic and occupational profile, Work Ability Index (WAI), Questionnaire 12-Short-Form Health Survey (SF-12) and NMQ. The results showed that the workers in the study group were better able to work in the domains of current capacity for work, estimated loss of work, absenteeism, self prognosis and mental resources. Quality of life had better results in the study group in the mental component and mental health domain. The study group reported a higher frequency of musculoskeletal symptoms in the last 12 months in the neck, lower back and hip and in the last 07 days in the ankle. The ergonomic interventions of awareness and work gymnastics have proved to be effective in the capacity for work and the quality of life of the workers; the same can not be considered for musculoskeletal symptoms. The realization of interventions in ergonomics in workers of the textile sector can be considered effective for the mental health of the workers and improvement of the quality of life. Tarefas desempenhadas pelos trabalhadores industriais têm padrões de movimentos prejudiciais à saúde devido sobretudo a intensidade e recursos tecnológicos. A exposição à atividades laborais impróprias e má postura durante o trabalho são alguns fatores que podem acarretar comprometimentos osteomusculares. As intervenções ergonômicas são recursos utilizados para prevenir e reduzir os impactos destes agravos à saúde. A dissertação foi construída na modalidade artigo científico, com o objetivo de avaliar os efeitos de intervenções ergonômicas nos sintomas osteomusculares, na capacidade para o trabalho e na qualidade de vida de trabalhadores de indústria têxtil. O primeiro artigo trata de uma revisão sistemática que objetivou analisar os efeitos de intervenções ergonômicas nos sintomas osteomusculares de trabalhadores de indústrias. Dois pesquisadores independentes realizaram a busca utilizando a mesma combinação dos descritores, musculoskeletal diseases and ergonomics or “human engineering” and workers, em português, inglês e espanhol nas bases de dados eletrônicas Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) e United States National Library of Medicine (PubMED), com estudos publicados entre 2007 e 2016, em português, inglês ou espanhol; artigos do tipo ensaio clínico randomizado que avaliaram os efeitos da ergonomia nos sintomas osteomusculares, através do Questionário Nórdico de Sintomas Osteomusculares (QNSO); e cuja amostra fosse de trabalhadores de indústrias. Foram excluídos os artigos repetidos, que não concluíram os resultados, revisões da literatura, editoriais, cartas, comentários, relato de caso isolado, dissertações ou teses. Fizeram parte da amostra 06 artigos. Cinco estudos apresentaram resultados positivos das intervenções ergonômicas na redução dos sintomas osteomusculares. Ficando evidente que ao executar um protocolo de intervenção dentro da indústria, de forma monitorada e controlada os resultados são melhores; associar correções nos postos de trabalho e ergonomia de conscientização também são mais eficazes; intervenções exclusivas de conscientização foram eficazes com carga horária mínima de 05 horas. O segundo artigo teve como objetivo verificar os efeitos de intervenções ergonômicas nos sintomas osteomusculares, capacidade para o trabalho e qualidade de vida de trabalhadores de indústria têxtil. Trata-se de um estudo analítico e transversal, realizado em duas indústrias têxteis, o grupo de estudo com 58 trabalhadores (que realiza intervenções ergonômicas de conscientização e ginástica laboral) e o outro, o controle, com 49 trabalhadores (que não realiza intervenções ergonômicas de conscientização e ginástica laboral). Foram utilizados os instrumentos: ficha de perfil sociodemográfico e laboral, Índice de Capacidade para o Trabalho (ICT), Questionário 12-Item Short-Form Health Survey (SF-12) e QNSO. Os resultados mostraram que os trabalhadores do grupo de estudo tiveram melhor capacidade para o trabalho nos domínios capacidade atual para o trabalho, perda estimada para o trabalho, faltas ao trabalho, prognóstico próprio e recursos mentais. A qualidade de vida teve melhores resultados no grupo de estudo no componente mental e no domínio saúde mental. O grupo de estudo referiu maior frequência de sintomas osteomusculares nos últimos 12 meses em pescoço, região lombar e quadril e nos últimos 07 dias em tornozelo. As intervenções ergonômicas de conscientização e ginástica laboral mostraram-se eficazes na capacidade para o trabalho e na qualidade de vida dos trabalhadores; o mesmo não pode ser considerado para os sintomas osteomusculares. A realização de intervenções em ergonomia em trabalhadores do setor têxtil pode ser considerado eficaz para a saúde mental e melhoria da qualidade de vida.

The adherence to hands hygiene is low in the various care settings. In intensive care units, this low compliance becomes even more severe, due to the greater susceptibility and exposure of patients. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of an educational intervention with the use of active methodology in the adhesion to hands hygiene among health professionals who work in the intensive care unit. A near experimental, before and after study. We evaluated variables of two paired samples of health professionals working in an intensive care unit for adult patients with 20 beds in a private specialty hospital located in the State of Goiás. The study was performed in three stages: pre-intervention, intervention and post-intervention. High level and technical health professionals who worked in direct patient care participated. We also evaluated the monthly epidemiological reports of infections related to health care in the intensive care unit generated by the Hospital Infection Control Committee of the referred hospital. The health professionals who worked in the management and did not provide direct assistance to the patients, those who lacked more than once in the proposed educational activities, and those who were on vacation during some stage of the study were excluded. 69 professionals participated in the three stages of the study. Most of the professionals worked in the day shift, with a workload of more than 40 hours a week, in more than one institution and claimed to have participated in some educational activity on hands hygiene in the last 12 months. Females represented the highest frequency of professionals in the intensive care unit studied in the pre and post-intervention stages 58 (58%) and 44 (63.8%), respectively. The overall adhesion to hands hygiene was low, where in the pre-intervention it was registered 22.3% and after the educational intervention it increased to 34.1%. The PR optimizes the level of independence and tolerance to the exercise, with consequent improvement of the quality of life. However, it is not clear whether the opportunity to perform physical training in isolation is capable of improving the level of daily physical activity and the patient's knowledge about his illness. The objectives of this study were: to compare knowledge about the disease, the level of daily physical activity and quality of life in COPD patients submitted and not submitted to supervised physical training (SPT); to identify predictive factors of knowledge about the disease and to verify the correlation between questionnaire and pedometer in the evaluation of the level of daily physical activity in the individuals studied. This is a case control study, using information collected through the application of the Beck Depression Inventory, Medical Research Council, Human Activity Profile (HAP), Bristol Knowledge Questionnaire on COPD and the use of a pedometer in patients with COPD. To analyze the data, the participants were divided into two groups: Case (individuals submitted to SPT); Control (individuals not submitted to SPT). In the statistical analysis, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, the Chi-square test and the univariate General Linear Test (GLM) were used. Linear regression test was used to analyze the effect of predictive factors for disease knowledge. The significance level adopted was p≤0.05. Seventy individuals completed the study. The mean knowledge score on the disease was 48.00 ± 10.00 in the case group and 48.56 ± 9.00 in the control group (p = 0.80). The average steps of the two groups were 5235.42 ± 4106.57 and 4886.24 ± 3765.75 (p = 0.71), respectively. Nine men who came out as homosexuals participated in this study. The sample was recruited at random and conveniently, using the technique in chains called snowball sampling. The study was carried out in the city of Anapolis , Goias. For data collection, the semi-structured interview was used, in a place chosen by the participant. The data collection and analysis were performed simultaneously, according to the Theory-Based of Data. After the analysis, the participants trajectory were described regarding their feelings and experiences lived in the process of understanding of one's own homosexuality, up to coming out to family and friends. All of this process has a temporality and reveal a diversity of feelings, perceptions, personal and social difficulties, and confrontations, resulting in the construction of a new philosophy of life. The participants’ explanations of their homosexuality refer to the fact that it has been present since birth and therefore are innate. Homosexuals perceive themselves outside the standard built for the male sex, which causes internal suffering and conflicts. For the male homosexual, this process of acknowledgment is a solitary and suffered path, because prejudice and discrimination intensify personal conflicts, suppression of desires and social isolation, which contributes to physical and mental illness. Child sexual abuse, perpetrated by relatives such as uncles and cousins, was present in the life of most homosexuals in childhood and adolescence, but parents were not able to identify behavioural changes, emotional suffering, and the risks that their children were exposed to daily.To soften the many conflicts that were present in this process, the strategies used were to try to modify or suppress their desires, to dodge the suspicion of family members and to seek help in religion for the transformation of homosexual desires. The process of coming out to the family is described as a period permeated by fears of not being accepted by the family, which generates isolation, anxiety and depression. Relatives respond to this news in a variety of ways: their feelings go from anger to acceptance. They fear, above all, that the child will suffer social violence, become a transvestite and expose themselves to sexually transmitted infections. Yet the challenges after the disclosure were to face seclusion, expulsion from house and restrictions of coexisting with homosexual friends. In the social environment, the consequences involve abuse of drugs and alcohol, excessive spending, loss of friends, homophobia at school and at work, and seclusion from their religious circle. Coping strategies were constituted by: self-acceptance, overcoming feelings of hate and achieving financial independence. The feelings that emerged in the two processes, that of self-understanding and coming out to the family, brought maturity and a new individual philosophy of life. It is considered that unveiling the experience of homosexuals in the understanding of themselves contributes to seeking new models of health care by researchers, health professionals and managers to prevent the physical and mental illness of the LGBT population, in a humanized way, in the three levels of health care. Trata-se de um estudo de abordagem qualitativa, desenvolvido com o objetivo de compreender as experiências vividas por homens no processo de reconhecimento e revelação da homossexualidade, com foco nos desafios e nas estratégias de enfrentamento. Participaram do estudo nove homens que assumiram sua homossexualidade. A amostra foi recrutada de forma aleatória e por conveniência, por meio da técnica em cadeias denominada snowball sampling ou amostragem em bola de neve. O estudo foi realizado na cidade de Anápolis, Goiás. Para coleta de dados, utilizou-se a entrevista semiestruturada em local escolhido pelo participante. A coleta e a análise dos dados foram realizadas simultaneamente, segundo o preconizado pela Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados. Após a análise, descreveu-se a trajetória dos participantes em relação aos sentimentos e experiências vivenciados no processo de compreensão da própria homossexualidade até a revelação aos familiares e amigos. Todo esse processo tem uma temporalidade e revela diversos sentimentos, percepções, dificuldades pessoais, sociais e enfrentamentos, resultando na construção de uma nova filosofia de vida. As explicações dos participantes sobre a homossexualidade referem-se ao fato de ter estado presente desde o nascimento, sendo, portanto, inata. Os homossexuais percebem-se fora do padrão construído para o sexo masculino, o que causa sofrimentos e conflitos internos. Para o homossexual masculino, este processo de reconhecimento é um caminho solitário e sofrido, pois o preconceito e a discriminação intensificam os conflitos pessoais, a repressão dos desejos e o isolamento social, o que colabora para o adoecimento físico e mental. O abuso sexual infantil, impetrado por parentes, como tios e primos, esteve presente na vida da maioria dos homossexuais na infância e adolescência, mas os pais não foram capazes de identificar as mudanças de comportamentos, o sofrimento emocional e os riscos a que estavam expostos seus filhos diariamente. Para amenizar os inúmeros conflitos que se apresentam neste processo, as estratégias utilizadas foram tentar modificar ou reprimir seus desejos, driblar a desconfiança dos familiares e buscar ajuda na religião para transformação dos desejos homossexuais. O processo de assumir-se para família é descrito como um período permeado por temores de não ser aceito pela família, o que gera isolamento, ansiedade e depressão. Os familiares reagem a esta notícia de forma variada: seus sentimentos transitam de raiva à aceitação. Temem, sobretudo, que o filho sofra violência social, se transforme em travesti e se exponha a infeções sexualmente transmitidas. Já os desafios após a revelação foram enfrentar reclusão domiciliar, expulsão de casa e restrições da convivência com amigos homossexuais. No ambiente social, as consequências envolvem uso abusivo de drogas e álcool, gastos demasiados, perda de amigos, homofobia na escola e no trabalho e afastamento do círculo religioso. Constituíram estratégias de enfrentamento: autoaceitação, superação de sentimentos de ódio e conquista da independência financeira. Os sentimentos que emergiram nos dois processos, o de autocompreensão e assumir-se para família, trouxeram amadurecimento e uma nova filosofia de vida individual. Considera-se que desvelar a experiência dos homossexuais na compreensão de si contribui para que pesquisadores, profissionais de saúde e gestores busquem novos modelos de atenção à saúde para prevenção do adoecimento físico e mental da população LGBT, de forma humanizada, nos três níveis de atenção à saúde.

Objective: to analyze the knowledge of primiparous for self-care and care of the newborn in the puerperal period in hospital and home. Methods: This is an exploratory, longitudinal, descriptive study with a qualitative approach, from January to June 2016. The scenario was a reference maternity for usual risk delivery in the municipality of Anápolis-Go. The data were collected in two moments, first in the hospital setting and the second, ten days after discharge, in a place indicated by the puerperal woman, in both occasions, performing a semi-structured interview. The first corpus gathered the narratives obtained in the hospital environment, and the second all the content obtained in the home environment. For the data analysis, the Bardin content analysis technique was used. Results: The average age of the participants is 22 years, minimum 18 years and maximum 33 years, most of them have completed high school in public schools and live with their partners. Established two thematic categories, hospital environment and home environment, respectively with two and three subcategories. In the hospital setting, the first subcategory was identified as birth and birth experiences, containing the themes of perception and first contact with the baby; In the second subcategory, called ALCON experiences, four contents appear, namely, puerperal sensations, baby care, perspectives related to the support network, and guidelines at hospital discharge. In the home environment category, the three subcategories are the first week at home, demands of the baby, subdivided into two approaches, physical care and breastfeeding, and the last, self care of the puerpera. In the study, the influence of the support network appears in a significant way. The participation of the family stands out, essentially, by the imposition of norms and rules of behavior acquired from common sense. The majority of puerperal mothers presented engagement and involvement to promote self-care and care for the child. Likewise, there was a lack of knowledge or disabilities for the actions needed during this period, which compromised the self-confidence essential to the performance of self-care and child care. Final Considerations: The study allowed to know, although in part, the reality of the knowledge of a parcel of primiparous about care in the puerperal period. It was observed a deficiency in the knowledge related to the integral care of the puerperas, as well as the existence of a strong influence of the common sense in this period. It can be said that the majority of the puerperas presented an engagement and involvement for the promotion of the self-care and care with the child, what relativizes, in some way, its daily doing. Introdução: A atenção à saúde da mulher oferecida no período gravídico puerperal compreende um conjunto de ações integradas e harmônicas, que visam proporcionar o desenvolvimento saudável para mãe e filho. Objetivo: analisar o conhecimento de primíparas para o autocuidado e o cuidado com o recém-nascido no período puerperal em hospital e domicilio. Métodos: Trata-se de estudo exploratório, longitudinal, descritivo com abordagem qualitativa, no período de janeiro a junho de 2016. O cenário foi uma maternidade de referência para parto de risco habitual no município de Anápolis-Go. Os dados foram coletados em dois momentos, primeiro em ambiente hospitalar e o segundo, dez dias após a alta, em local indicado pela puérpera, em ambas as oportunidades realizando-se entrevista semi estruturada. O primeiro corpus reuniu as narrativa obtidas no ambiente hospitalar, e o segundo todo o conteúdo obtido no ambiente domiciliar. Para a análise dos dados utilizou-se a técnica de análise de conteúdo de Bardin. Resultados: A idade média das participantes é de 22 anos, mínima de 18 anos e máxima de 33 anos, a maioria cursou ensino médio completo em escola pública e vive com o companheiro. Estabelecidas duas categorias temáticas, ambiente hospitalar e ambiente domiciliar, respectivamente com duas e três subcategorias. No ambiente hospitalar, a primeira subcategoria foi identificada como vivências do parto e nascimento, contendo os temas percepção e primeiro contato com o bebê; na segunda subcategoria, denominada vivências do ALCON, aparecem quatro conteúdos, a saber, sensações do período puerperal, cuidados com o bebê, perspectivas relacionadas a rede de apoio, e orientações na alta hospitalar. Na categoria ambiente domiciliar, as três subcategorias são, a primeira semana em casa, demandas do bebê, subdividida em dois enfoques, cuidado físico e amamentação, e a última, autocuidado da puérpera. No estudo, a influência da rede de apoio aparece de forma significativa. A participação da família se destaca, essencialmente, pela imposição de normas e regras de comportamento adquiridas do senso comum. A maioria das puérperas apresentou engajamento e envolvimento para a promoção do autocuidado e cuidado com o filho. Do mesmo modo, verificouse a existência de algum déficit de conhecimento ou inabilidades para as ações necessárias nesse período, o que comprometeu a autoconfiança imprescindível ao desempenho do autocuidado e do cuidado com o filho. Considerações Finais: O estudo permitiu conhecer, ainda que em parte, a realidade do conhecimento de uma parcela de primíparas acerca dos cuidados no período puerperal. Observou-se deficiência no conhecimento relacionado ao cuidado integral das puérperas, assim como a existência de forte influencia do senso comum nesse período. Pode-se dizer que a maioria das puérperas apresentou engajamento e envolvimento para a promoção do autocuidado e cuidado com o filho, o que relativiza, de algum modo, o seu fazer cotidiano.

Fourteen teachers participated in the study and the data were collected through a questionnaire and semi-structured interview. The analysis of the data showed that the teachers present specific training in the area of the discipline that they teach, the majority with doctor's degree in the area, denoting that they present mastery of the disciplinary knowledge. However, they have little or no pedagogical training, and their reports indicate that in the teaching activity, experiential knowledge about teaching predominates, with little pedagogical and / or didactic theoretical foundation. It is concluded that it is necessary to invest in pedagogical training, creating for teachers the possibilities of articulating the epistemological aspects of the field of pharmacy and the taught discipline and the pedagogical aspects of teaching. It is believed that the analyzes presented in this research may contribute to new reflections on the teaching activity and on the quality of training of pharmacists, since this theme is still little explored in research on teaching in pharmacy courses. Realizou-se uma pesquisa qualitativa com caráter descritivo e exploratório com o objetivo de investigar como se apresenta a integração entre conhecimento disciplinar e conhecimento pedagógico em cursos de graduação em farmácia, no estado de Goiás, e analisar o que os professores compreendem acerca dessa integração. Participaram da pesquisa quatorze professores e os dados foram coletados por meio de questionário e entrevista semiestruturada. A análise dos dados mostrou que os docentes apresentam formação específica na área da disciplina que ensinam, a maioria com título de doutor na área, denotando-se que apresentam domínio do conhecimento disciplinar. No entanto, possuem pouca ou nenhuma formação pedagógica, e seus relatos indicam que na atividade docente predominam conhecimentos experienciais sobre o ensino, com pouca fundamentação teórica pedagógica e/ou didática. Conclui-se que é necessário investimento na formação pedagógica, criando para os docentes as possibilidades de articularem os aspectos epistemológicos do campo da farmácia e da disciplina ensinada e os aspectos pedagógicos do ensino. Acredita-se que as análises apresentadas nesta pesquisa podem contribuir para novas reflexões sobre a atividade de ensino e sobre a qualidade da formação de farmacêuticos, uma vez que essa temática ainda é pouco explorada em pesquisas sobre o ensino nos cursos de farmácia.

However, the adherence to hand hygiene by health professionals is low and it is believed that adherence is even lower in the Emergency Mobile Care Service (EMCS) due to structural conditions and emergency care. This research aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of educational action with the use of active methodologies to increase adherence to hygiene at the hands of prehospital care professionals. This is a near-experimental, before-and-after study, performed at a pre-hospital emergency care service in the Central South region, with head office in Aparecida de Goiânia (Center-West). The study population was composed of professionals who work in pre-hospital care: nurses, nursing technicians, doctors and drivers who are also first responders who participated in the educational intervention. The study was consisted of three phases: the first and third phases corresponded to the collection of pre and post-intervention data. Physical, psychological, and sexual aggressions against women may end in their death, usually by homicide. The intimate partner is, most of the times, the main aggressor. The objective of this study was to characterize the homicides of women, as well as describe the sociodemographic traits of the victims, from the occurrence of the homicide to its distribution in the seven sanitary districts of the city of Goiânia, Goiás State. A descriptive study was carried out with the data recorded on the System of Information on Mortality (SIM) between 2008 and 2015. The sanitary districts of the city with the largest number of female homicide were identified based on the variable place of residence of the victims. The secondary data were collected through the SIM, using the International Classification of Diseases, 10th review (ICD-10), for the classification of the femicides. A total of 376 homicides of women were recorded between 2008 and 2015, presenting an increase in its proportion in this period from 8.2% in 2008 to 12.5% in 2015. Most of the victims were young women at 20-39 years of age (57.5%), who were single, brown (61.1%), and had low education level (58.4%). Regarding the aggression means, firearms (64.0%) followed by penetrating or cutting objects (25.3%) stood out. The more frequent site of death occurrence was the public road (36.2%); as for the time, the months of January, April, and September, in the weekends, stood out. The sanitary districts where more female death due to aggression took place were Southwest (19.5%), followed by Campinas-City Center (17.3%), and Northeast (16.7%). Therefore, the predominant profile of women, victims of femicide, was young, brown, single, with low education level, and resident of the poorest regions of the city. A violência contra a mulher é considerada há anos um problema de saúde pública mundial, sendo a violência baseada no gênero sua principal causa. As agressões físicas, psicológicas e sexuais contra a mulher podem culminar em sua morte, geralmente por homicídio. O parceiro íntimo, na maioria das vezes, é seu principal agressor. O objetivo do presente estudo foi caracterizar os homicídios femininos, bem como descrever as características sociodemográficas das vítimas, da ocorrência dos homicídios e sua distribuição nos sete distritos sanitários do município de Goiânia, Goiás. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, realizado com os dados registrados no Sistema de Informação de Mortalidade (SIM) entre 2008 e 2015. Foram identificados os distritos sanitários do município em que se concentraram os maiores números de ocorrência de homicídios femininos, com base na variável de local de moradia das vítimas. Os dados secundários foram coletados através do SIM, utilizando a classificação internacional de doenças, 10a revisão (CID-10) para a classificação dos feminicídios. Foram registrados 376 homicídios de mulheres entre 2008 e 2015 apresentando um aumento da sua proporção neste período de 8,2% em 2008 para 12,5% em 2015. A maioria das vítimas era mulheres jovens de 20 a 39 anos (57,5%), solteiras (78,8%), pardas (61,1%) e 58,4% tinham baixa escolaridade. Em relação ao meio de agressão, destaca-se o uso de armas de fogo (64,0%), seguido dos objetos penetrantes ou cortantes (25,3%). O local de ocorrência do óbito mais frequente foi a via pública (36,2%), destacando-se os meses de janeiro, abril e setembro, nos finais de semana. Os distritos sanitários onde mais ocorreram os óbitos femininos por agressão foram o Sudoeste (19,5%), seguidos do Campinas-Centro (17,3%) e Noroeste (16,7%). The good practices in hildbirth and birth care are aimed to prevent adverse events related to health care and it is essential that professionals have knowledge about safety protocols. Objective: To analyze the social representation of health professionals about the implementation of protocols for patient safety in the childbirth and birth care. Methods: It is an exploratory, descriptive study with a qualitative approach, that was carried out in a public maternity hospital in Goiânia, from June to August 2016. The data taking was performed through a interview and questionnaire application with eleven professionalsm, mainly nurses and doctors, who perform their activities using the program ALCESTE for corpus analysis. Results: The results might allow to identify that the service meets partially the patient safety protocols. The main activities carried out are screening, admission, labor, normal delivery, cesarean and follow-up of the moments of delivery and after one hour of delivery, performed properly, according to the participants. As a result of the lexical analysis of the eleven interviews, the dendogram with two axes emerged, the first one called (in) safety and the second called risk, respectively with three and four classes: daily; rights; protocols and care. The regular issue about the social representations for the health professionals, is not in relation about the implementation of the protocols for patient safety in the childbirth and birth care, but rather on the safety of women obstetric care. These are based in conceptions and values acquired during the formation and professional performance. Nurses and doctors do not approach the issue in a consistent and systematized manner according to the requirements of the National Sanitary Agency. Final considerations: As results obtained, it is believed that the implementation of the Patient Safety Centers contributes to reverse the inconsistencies found. Alternatively, permanent education actions that address patient safety protocols should be used. Introdução: Segurança do paciente é tema prioritário na área da saúde, com enfoque tanto de órgãos nacionais quanto internacionais. A promoção de boas práticas de atenção ao parto e nascimento visa prevenir eventos adversos relacionados à assistência à saúde e é fundamental que os profissionais tenham conhecimento sobre os protocolos de segurança. Objetivo: Analisar a representação social de profissionais de saúde acerca da implementação dos protocolos para a segurança da parturiente na atenção ao parto e nascimento. Método: Trata-se de estudo exploratório, descritivo com abordagem qualitativa, realizado em uma maternidade pública de Goiânia, no período de junho a agosto de 2016. A coleta de dados foi realizada a partir de entrevista semiestruturada e aplicação de questionário, junto a onze profissionais, especificamente enfermeiros e médicos que exercem suas atividades laborais no referido serviço. Foi utilizado o programa ALCESTE para análise do corpus obtido. Resultados: Os resultados permitiram identificar que o serviço adota de forma parcial os protocolos de segurança do paciente. As principais atividades realizadas são a triagem, admissão, trabalho de parto, parto natural, cirurgia cesariana e acompanhamento dos momentos do parto e após uma hora do parto, realizadas adequadamente, de acordo com os participantes. Como resultado da análise lexical das onze entrevistas, emergiu o dendograma com dois eixos, o primeiro denominado (in)segurança e o segundo risco, respectivamente com três e quatro classes: cotidiano; direitos; protocolos e atenção e cuidados. O campo comum sobre as representações sociais dos profissionais de saúde, não são em relação à implementação dos protocolos para a segurança do paciente na atenção ao parto e nascimento, mas sim acerca da segurança da mulher no atendimento obstétrico. Estes estão ancorados em concepções e valores adquiridos ao longo da formação e atuação profissional. Enfermeiros e médicos não abordam o assunto de forma consistente e sistematizada conforme os protocolos da Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária. Considerações Finais: Frente aos resultados obtidos, acredita-se que a implantação do Núcleo de Segurança do Paciente contribua para reverter as inconsistências verificadas. Alternativamente, deve-se recorrer às ações de educação permanente que abordem os protocolos de segurança do paciente.

The objective of this study was to learn how physicians and nurses describe their practice in FHS – focusing on aspects that motivate and/or demotivate them from staying in the FHS. Grounded theory methods were adopted. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with six physicians and six nurses working in the FHS in three municipalities in the state of Bahia, Brazil. All research procedures were conducted according to the ethical guidelines set forth in Resolution 466/12 of the Brazilian National Health Council. The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás. Data were gathered between November 2015 and July 2016. The interviews were recorded and fully transcribed, and analyzed based on grounded theory. According to this method, analysis began with initial coding, in which interviews were thoroughly examined, line per line, resulting in incidents, which then resulted in codes. The codes were then compared among themselves and grouped by similarities or differences to form categories. During the coding process, the researchers took notes about ideas and perceptions that emerged, resulting in a memo. Then, diagrams were constructed and the theoretical model created. During this phase, several designs were constructed and perfected. First, one theoretical model was created to represent the context presented by the physicians and another for nurses. Then, the theoretical models that represented the experiences of both groups resulted in the final theoretical model, representing the experience of both FHS physicians and nurses. The final theoretical model included seven categories; six categories emphasized factors that drive physicians and nurses away from FHS: undergraduate studies do not prepare for reality; turnover; a place for physicians to begin and end their career; medicine has easy employment and can cheat the system; nurses are overloaded; the key element does not receive due recognition. The study also presented one category with factors that, according to the physicians and nurses, contribute to the quality of FHS care: on-site training, teamwork, creating ties with the community, and receiving recognition for one’s work. The theoretical model presented a fragile healthcare system that demotivates physicians and nurses from working in the FHS. Low permanence rates of these professionals in the FHS directly compromises care outcomes and access to health services. No Brasil, Estratégia de Saúde da Família (ESF) é um seguimento de comprovada importância para a reorientação do modelo assistencial por meio da Atenção Primária à Saúde. O objetivo deste trabalho é conhecer como médicos e enfermeiros descrevem a sua atuação na ESF- com foco em aspectos que motivam e/ou desmotivam a permanência deles na ESF. Utilizou-se abordagem construída com base nos métodos da Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados. Participaram das entrevistas semiestruturadas seis médicos e seis enfermeiras que atuam na ESF, de três municípios do interior da Bahia - Brasil. Todos os procedimentos da pesquisa foram realizados de acordo com as diretrizes éticas estabelecidas pela Resolução 466/12, do Conselho Nacional de Saúde. O projeto foi aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética e Pesquisa da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Goiás. Os dados foram coletados entre os meses de novembro de 2015 e julho de 2016. As entrevistas foram gravadas e transcritas na íntegra e analisadas seguindo a Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados. De acordo com este método, a análise começou com a codificação inicial. Nesta etapa, as entrevistas foram examinadas minuciosamente, linha a linha, para resultar nos incidentes e, posteriormente, na elaboração de códigos. No passo seguinte, os códigos foram comparados entre si e foram agrupados pelas similaridades ou diferenças para formar as categorias. Durante o processo de codificação, foi utilizado o registro das ideias e percepções que resultaram no memorando. Em sequência ao processo de análise e redação do memorando, passou-se para a construção dos diagramas e a elaboração do modelo teórico. Durante a confecção dos diagramas e dos modelos teóricos, vários desenhos foram construídos e aperfeiçoados. A princípio foi elaborado um modelo teórico para representar o contexto apresentado pelos médicos e outro para os enfermeiros. Posteriormente, os modelos teóricos que representavam as vivências dos dois grupos de profissionais resultaram no modelo teórico final, representando a experiência de médicos e enfermeiros na ESF. O modelo teórico final evidenciou sete categorias, seis categorias com predomínio de fatores que afastam os médicos e enfermeiros do trabalho na ESF: a graduação não prepara para a realidade; rotatividade; lugar para o médico iniciar e terminar a carreira; a medicina tem emprego fácil e pode burlar o sistema; a enfermagem tem sobrecarga de trabalho; a peça chave é desvalorizada. O estudo ainda permite apresentar uma categoria com os fatores, apontados por médicos e enfermeiro, que contribuírem com a qualidade da assistência na ESF: a educação em serviço, o trabalho em equipe, a criação do vínculo com a comunidade e o reconhecimento pelo trabalho. O modelo teórico apresenta um sistema de saúde frágil que afasta médicos e enfermeiros do trabalho na ESF. A baixa permanência desses profissionais na ESF compromete diretamente os resultados da assistência prestada e no acesso ao serviço de saúde.

In addition to being responsible for important functions in the body, such as chewing, a healthy mouth is imperative for a good personal presentation. Because it is such an important area of health, dental services are offered by the SUS (Health Unic System), which also promotes universal and free access to other health services. Created in 1988, SUS benefits about 180 million Brazilians and represents a change in the interpretation of the concept of health. Previously seen as a "non-disease" framework, the SUS promoted a vision of disease prevention and health promotion (FIOCRUZ, 2017). Despite the advances and improvements provided by SUS, there are still many challenges to be overcome by public health as the negative impacts that oral diseases have generated. Faced with this reality, the negative impacts that oral diseases have generated are a challenge for those responsible for public health policies. The objective of this research was to describe the dental procedures and oral health indicators used in Goiânia, from 2013 to 2015. Data were collected in Datasus, Department of Informatics of the Brazilian Unified Health System. It is a cross-sectional descriptive study. The results revealed a growth in the total number of registered dental procedures, from 1,883 to 3,414, between 2013 and 2015. Regarding the procedures performed, it was observed that the periodontal methods, followed by prosthetics, restorative and preventive methods, were registered more frequently. The most frequently recorded procedure in the female audience is the prosthetic. In the male audience, more often than not, it resorts to prevention and restoration. Preventive treatment is also more present in the age group equal to or less than nine years. On the other hand, it was verified that it is in the age group over 34 years that most receives dental procedures. The state of Goiás did not agree for the period from 2013 to 2015, the average individual dental procedures of 2007, which was 2.5. In 2013, the indicator stood at 2.44 and in 2015 it declined to 1.17. Despite the increase in the number of dental procedures, the proportion of the first dental appointment and the ratio of the completed treatments decreased with time, which shows that the treatments started are not completed. It is concluded that it is necessary to develop preventive programs that also include adults. The work of health teams should be intensified, expanding health education strategies and actions in more isolated areas. It is fundamental that a work of awareness is developed regarding the problems generated by an interrupted oral treatment, in order to reduce incompleted treatments. Uma boa saúde bucal é fundamental para o bem-estar físico e emocional do indivíduo. Além de ser responsável por funções importantes no organismo, como a mastigação, uma boca saudável é imprescindível para uma boa apresentação pessoal. Por se tratar de uma área tão importante da saúde, serviços odontológicos são oferecidos pelo SUS (Sistema Único de Saúde), que também promove o acesso universal e gratuito a outros serviços de saúde. Criado em 1988, o SUS beneficia cerca de 180 milhões de brasileiros e representa uma mudança na interpretação do conceito de saúde. Antes vista como um quadro de "não-doença", o SUS promoveu uma visão de prevenção de agravos e promoção da saúde (FIOCRUZ, 2017). Apesar dos avanços e das melhorias proporcionadas pelo SUS, ainda há muitos desafios a serem vencidos pela saúde pública, como os impactos negativos que doenças bucais geram. Diante dessa realidade, o objetivo desta pesquisa foi descrever os procedimentos odontológicos e indicadores de saúde bucal utilizados em Goiânia, no período de 2013 a 2015. Os dados foram coletados no Datasus, departamento de informática do Sistema Único de Saúde do Brasil. Trata-se de estudo transversal descritivo. Os resultados revelaram o crescimento do número total de procedimentos odontológicos registrados, de 1.883 para 3.414, entre 2013 e 2015. Em relação aos procedimentos realizados, observou-se que foram registrados com maior frequência os métodos periodontais, seguidos dos protéticos, restauradores e preventivos. O procedimento registrado com mais frequência no público feminino é o protético. Já no público masculino recorre mais frequentemente à prevenção e à restauração. O tratamento preventivo também se mostra mais presente na faixa etária igual ou menor que nove anos. Em contrapartida, verificouse que é na faixa etária acima de 34 anos que recebe mais procedimentos odontológicos. O estado de Goiás não pactuou para o período de 2013 a 2015, a média de procedimentos odontológicos individuais de 2007, que era de 2,5. Em 2013, o indicador ficou em 2,44 e, em 2015, declinou para 1,17. Apesar do crescimento do número de procedimentos odontológicos, a proporção da primeira consulta odontológica e a razão dos tratamentos concluídos foi decrescendo com o tempo, o que revela que os tratamentos iniciados não são concluídos. Conclui-se que é necessário o desenvolvimento de programas preventivos que inclua também os adultos. Deve-se intensificar a atuação das equipes de saúde, expandindo estratégias de educação em saúde e ações em áreas mais isoladas. É fundamental que seja desenvolvido um trabalho de conscientização em relação aos problemas gerados pela interrupção ou não conclusão do tratamento odontológico.

A experimental study, before-and-after, non-control study was conducted to evaluate the effects of a Halliwick Method-based aquatic therapy protocol in the elderly, this protocol was performed for 12 weeks (24 sessions), with two sessions Weekly, where each session was 50 minutes. The following instruments were used: the Bomfaq questionnaire, to evaluate the social, demographic and functional characteristics of the studied sample, this questionnaire was applied before the protocol was applied, the six-minute walk test, to evaluate the physical and functional performance of the sample. 64 elderly participants, this test was performed before and after application of the protocol and the spirometry test, to evaluate respiratory performance also before and after the application of the proposed protocol. According to the results, the majority of participants were female (87.3%), mostly white (54.1%), born in the rural area (47.5%), born in the urban area as well 47.5 per cent), married or widowed (84.2 per cent), with children (76.7 per cent), were living with a primary education (69.8 per cent). Most of the elderly participants had retirement as their main source of income (56.5%), reported that their financial situation met their basic needs well (70.2%). Almost half did not present difficulties to perform functional activities (48.4%), especially those that needed to move arms and legs. The majority reported not having suffered a fall in the last year (46%), and a majority did not report fractures (81%), used medications regularly indicated by the physician (77.6%), reported having no difficulty acquiring such drugs (71.2%). Regarding physical performance, the majority reported having no difficulty walking alone at home (82.3%) or outside the home environment (74.2%). The scoping review was conducted according to the methodological premises of Arksey and O’Malley (2005), including the recommendations by Levac, Colquhoun and O’Brien (2010). Studies of indigenous children were included who had been diagnosed with diarrheic disease; with emphasis on the epidemiological characteristics and/or the implementation process of preventive interventions; published between January 2006 and June 2016. The following controlled descriptors were used: Indigenous population; Child; Diarrhea; Dysentery; Epidemiology; Prevention, primary; and the non-controlled descriptors: Characteristic, epidemiologic study; Children. The databases reviewed were: Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), US National Library of Medicine Institute of Health (PubMed) and the Web of Science. Initially, 268 studies were identified and, after applying the eligibility criteria, six studies were selected, and five additional studies were identified through reference tracking. The final sample consisted of 11 articles, published between 2007 and 2015. Only three articles were intended to investigate diarrheic disease in indigenous children. In the remainder, other diseases than diarrhea were discussed. The synthesis resulted in the following thematic categories: “Epidemiological characteristics of diarrheic disease in indigenous children” and “Primary and secondary prevention strategies of diarrheic disease in indigenous children”. In the studies, high morbidity rates due to diarrhea were verified in indigenous children, who are socially disadvantaged, living in precarious hygiene and basic sanitation conditions. Childhood diarrhea was associated with a low economic level, water quality, defecation in the garden, lack of hand washing, and lack of hygiene in general. The primary prevention strategies include basic sanitation, health education for hygiene habits, animal control, breastfeeding, zinc supplementation, vitamins and vaccination against Rotavirus. The secondary prevention strategies include the use of oral rehydration solutions, adequate diet, prescription of antimicrobial agents, intravenous fluid replacement with glucose and electrolyte correction in severe cases. In conclusion, these recommendations are applicable to indigenous or non-indigenous children, as the causal factors and prevention strategies are the same. Nevertheless, the public policies focused on indigenous people need strengthening, guaranteeing the access to health, holistic care, aiming for culture with respect, but addressing the aspects that influence that emergence of diarrheic disease. As verified, around the global, publications on the study of this problem are scarce. The studies were mainly descriptive and few of them presented an in-depth discussion in the complex reality of this social group. Trata-se de um scoping review desenvolvido com objetivo de analisar as evidências científicas relacionadas a doença diarreica vivenciada por crianças indígenas e as estratégias que podem ser utilizadas para prevenir essa problemática. O scoping review foi conduzido segundo os pressupostos metodológicos de Arksey e O’Malley (2005) com as recomendações de Levac, Colquhoun e O’Brien (2010). Foram incluídos estudos com crianças indígenas, com diagnóstico de doença diarreica; ênfase nas características epidemiológicas e/ou no processo de implementação de intervenções relacionadas à prevenção; publicados entre janeiro de 2006 e junho de 2016. Foram identificados inicialmente 268 estudos, e após a triagem com os critérios de elegibilidade foram selecionados seis estudos e identificados mais cinco por meio do reference tracking. A amostra final foi composta por onze artigos publicados entre os anos de 2007 e 2015. Somente três artigos tinham por objetivo investigar a doença diarreica em criança indígena, nos demais foram abordadas outras morbidades além da doença diarreica. A síntese resultou nas categorias temáticas: “Características epidemiológicas da doença diarreica em crianças indígenas” e “Estratégias de prevenção primaria e secundaria da doença diarreica em crianças indígenas”. Verificou-se nos estudos elevadas taxas de morbidade por doença diarreica em crianças indígenas, que são socialmente desfavorecidas, vivendo em condições precárias de higiene e saneamento básico. A diarreia infantil foi associada com o baixo nível econômico, a qualidade da água, a defecação no quintal, o não higienizar as mãos e a falta de higiene no geral. Entre as estratégias de prevenção primaria estão o saneamento básico, educação em saúde para hábitos de higiene, controle de animais, amamentação, suplementação com zinco, vitaminas e vacina Rotavírus. Na prevenção secundaria incluem o uso de soluções de reidratação oral, alimentação adequada, prescrição de antimicrobianos, reposição de fluidos intravenosos com correção da glicemia e eletrólitos em casos graves. Conclui-se que essas recomendações são aplicáveis tanto a crianças indígenas ou não indígenas, tendo em vista que os fatores causais e estratégias de prevenção são as mesmas. Entretanto, deve haver o fortalecimento das políticas públicas voltadas aos indígenas, garantindo o acesso á saúde, um cuidado holístico, visando a cultura com respeito, mas abordados os aspectos que influencia no surgimento da doença diarreica. Verificou-se que mundialmente, são escassas as publicações direcionadas ao estudo dessa problemática. Os estudos foram principalmente de natureza descritiva e poucos apresentaram uma discussão aprofundada na complexa realidade vivenciada por esse grupo social.

Various risk factors might influence the occurrence of symptoms and occupational diseases that impacts work ability and personal life. Ergonomics can be used to raise awareness among workers, becoming a way of prevention and control of risk factors and their consequences. The dissertation was built as a scientific article. The first article is an integrative literature review and its goal was to analyze the effect of ergonomics awareness in musculoskeletal symptoms. Were choosen the electronic databases Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) and PubMed Central, with studies published from 2006 to 2015. Four randomized clinical trials and four quasi- experimental studies were selected. The actions in ergonomics awareness were analyzed in combination with other methodologies in all studies, having four, rated yet, groups which used only this ergonomic method. Ergonomics awareness showed positive effects in reducing musculoskeletal symptoms. The best results were found with the multiple interventions in ergonomics. The second article had the goal of evaluating the effects of ergonomics awareness in fatigue, musculoskeletal symptoms and work ability in employees of a food industry. It is a quasi- experimental study, in the before and after design. The nonprobability sampling included 23 workers from the production sector of this industry, with average age of 35.47 (± 11,91) years. The employees filled up the instruments Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (NMQ), Chalder Fatigue Scale and Work Ability Index (WAI). Eight interventions in ergonomics awareness were applied through lectures, videos and informative material about health and work safety. The analysis of the ergonomics awareness effects, comparing before and after the interventions, considering the instruments, were made based on the Wilcoxon Test and Chi-square, statistical significance level of p ≤ 0,05. As for the results, an improvement in the fatigue levels was noticed (p= 0,05) and in the work ability (p= 0,01). Considering socio-demographic and labor variables, interventions impacted on fatigue for those with labor time superior of 12 months (p=0,004), especially in regard to need less rest (p = 0,04) and have less difficulty to start their activities (p = 0,05); and in work ability in the group below 35 years (p = 0,04), with primary education (p = 0,008) and no job rotation (p = 0,02). There were no differences in the results obtained by NMQ before and after intervention. Facing the results found of fatigue and work ability improvement and reduction of musculoskeletal symptoms through the association of ergonomics awareness with other ergonomic methods, ergonomics awareness becomes an effective and inexpensive method, which helps prevent and control risk factors and occupational diseases. A atividade laboral relaciona-se com a saúde dos trabalhadores. Diversos fatores de risco podem influenciar na ocorrência de sintomas e doenças ocupacionais, que impactam na capacidade para o trabalho e na vida pessoal. A ergonomia pode ser utilizada de forma a conscientizar os empregados, tornando-se um meio de prevenir e controlar os fatores de risco e suas consequências. A dissertação foi construída na modalidade artigo científico. O primeiro artigo trata de uma revisão integrativa da literatura e objetivou analisar os efeitos da ergonomia de conscientização nos sintomas osteomusculares. Adotou-se as bases de dados eletrônicas Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) e PubMed Central, com estudos publicados de 2006 a 2015. Foram selecionados quatro ensaios clínicos randomizados e quatro estudos quase experimentais. As ações em ergonomia de conscientização foram analisadas em associação com outras metodologias em todos os estudos, tendo quatro, avaliado ainda, grupos que utilizaram apenas este método ergonômico. A ergonomia de conscientização apresentou efeitos positivos na redução dos sintomas osteomusculares. Os melhores resultados foram encontrados nas intervenções múltiplas em ergonomia. O segundo artigo teve como objetivo avaliar os efeitos da ergonomia de conscientização na fadiga, sintomas osteomusculares e capacidade para o trabalho em funcionários de uma indústria alimentícia. Trata-se de um estudo quase experimental, do tipo antes e depois. A amostra não probabilística contou com 23 trabalhadores da área de produção de uma indústria, com média de idade de 35,47 (± 11,91) anos. Os funcionários preencheram os instrumentos Questionário Nórdico de Sintomas Osteomusculares (QNSO), Escala de Fadiga de Chalder e Índice de Capacidade para o Trabalho (ICT). Foram aplicadas oito intervenções em ergonomia de conscientização, por meio de palestras, vídeos e folders, em temas sobre saúde e segurança no trabalho. A análise dos efeitos da ergonomia de conscientização, antes e após as intervenções, considerando os instrumentos, foi realizada com o teste de Wilcoxon e o Qui-quadrado, nível de significância de p ≤ 0,05. Quanto aos resultados, foi percebida melhora da fadiga (p= 0,05) e da capacidade para o trabalho (p= 0,01). Considerando as variáveis sociodemográficas e laborais, as intervenções impactaram na fadiga, para aqueles com tempo de serviço superior a 12 meses (p= 0,004), especialmente no que tange a precisar descansar menos (p= 0,04) e ter menor dificuldade para iniciar suas atividades (p= 0,05); e na capacidade para o trabalho no grupo abaixo de 35 anos (p= 0,04), com ensino fundamental (p= 0,008) e sem rotatividade de função (p= 0,02). Não houve diferença nos resultados obtidos no QNSO antes e depois da intervenção. Frente aos resultados encontrados de melhora da fadiga e da capacidade para o trabalho e da redução dos sintomas osteomusculares por meio da associação da conscientização com outros métodos ergonômicos, a ergonomia de conscientização torna-se um meio eficaz e de baixo custo, que auxilia na prevenção e no controle de fatores de risco e doenças ocupacionais.

The following study deals is a crosssectional survey conducted in eight public educational institutions of the city of Anápolis (GO). The sample consisted of 479 children aged between 8 and 12 years. Caretakers signed the Consent Agreement and Clarified and answered an epidemiological questionnaire which asked about the child’s background and their families about the presence of symptoms and respiratory diseases, housing conditions and smoking habits. Then we applied the 6-minute walk test, which was conducted according to the standards of the American Society Toracic and consisted of the child to walk as far as possible for 6 minutes. were also observed the level of dyspnea using the Borg Scale, heart rate, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure, the same being observed 10 minutes before and after the test. Of the 297 479 children had no respiratory disease and 182 were considered patients, 307 were exposed to passive smoking and 172 were not exposed. Participated in the walk test 379 children. With regard to environmental and biological factors analyzed in the study all were associated with the presence of respiratory disease, and being passive smokers increases by 2.79 times the likelihood of the children have respiratory disease. The research is guided by the following question: what is the profile of violence reported in women in the city of Araguaína? On the context, the objective of this study is to characterize the cases of violence against women, reported by the System Information and Notifiable Diseases (SINAN) in Araguaina, Tocantins, Brazil. in the year 2014. It refers to a descriptive crosssectional study Data were collected in the Epidemiological Surveillance (VE), with the permission of the City Health Department. In this study, 225 were tabulated reporting forms. We used the Statistical Package Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20 on Windows platform. The survey showed that most victims of violence was found in young women, low education, not white, single, sent after the assault to the outpatient and inpatient service. Profile of the attackers, they were mostly spouses / boyfriends / ex-partners. Most of the victims suffered violence in their homes, through physical aggression, by beating and his attackers were using alcohol at the time practiced violent act. The survey results show the importance of characterization of reported cases of violence against women, as it will allow the search for new practices in health more individualized each case. b and that these data will facilitate actions in health policy and the ongoing effort to maintain always interconnected system, always guaranteeing the rights of those abused women. A violência contra a mulher não representa um fato novo e nem incomum, faz parte da vida de muitas famílias e considerado como um problema de saúde pública. A pesquisa é norteada com a seguinte questão: qual o perfil da violência notificada em mulheres no município de Araguaína? Diante do contexto, o objetivo deste trabalho é Caracterizar os casos de violência contra a mulher, notificados pelo Sistema de Informação e Agravos de Notificação (SINAN) em Araguaína, Tocantins, Brasil. no ano de 2014. Refere se a um estudo transversal descritivo Os dados foram coletados na Vigilância Epidemiológica (VE), mediante a autorização da Secretaria de Saúde do Município. Neste estudo, foram tabuladas 225 fichas de notificação. Utilizou-se o pacote Estatístico Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS), versão 20, em plataforma Windows. A pesquisa apresentou que a maioria das vítimas de violência correspondeu a mulheres jovens, baixa escolaridade, de cor não branca, solteiras, encaminhadas após a agressão para o serviço ambulatorial e hospitalar. Sobre o perfil dos agressores, estes foram em sua grande maioria os cônjuges/namorados/ex-companheiros. A maioria das vítimas sofreu a violência nas suas residências, através da agressão física, por meio de espancamento e seus agressores faziam uso de bebidas alcoólicas no momento que praticavam o ato violento. Os resultados da pesquisa mostram a importância da caracterização dos casos notificados de violência contra a mulher, pois permitirá a busca de novas práticas na área da saúde de maneira mais individualizada cada caso. E que esses dados facilitarão ações na política de saúde e no contínuo esforço em manter a rede sempre interligada, sempre na garantia dos direitos dessas mulheres violentadas.

The study included 11 women affected by TRM, those with ties in the Association of Rio Verde Handicap (ADEFIRV) in the city of Rio Verde, Goiás. Data collection was conducted with the use of socio-cultural questionnaire and free evocations, besides carrying out semi-structured interview. From the analysis of the results, it was found that the meanings attributed by the participants to the experience of sexuality and reproduction after the TRM are related to specific concerns and life experience with the installed limitations. The results point to the diversity of feelings that involve various dimensions of sexuality and reproduction, which go beyond the biological perspective and, in particular, beyond the likely limitations generated by the TRM in the way of being a woman. The dendrogram obtained has two axles and five subcategories. Axis I deals with matters pertaining to living in this condition, being contemplated by four classes, respectively: everyday life, sexuality and reproduction, difficulties and coping. In the axis II, which deals with the subjective aspects, this is the class called perceptions. axis I classes revealed, among other things, symbolisms associated with sex, reproduction, affective relationships before and after the TRM and relations with the body. Add subsidies that could be used as support to enhance and strengthen the professional support in coping with TRM. Health professionals and the woman come when they are willing to design an individualized care based on active listening of the people served. The results show that the experience of sexuality of women affected by TRM is marked by mixed feelings. Sexuality and reproduction specifically in women has significant weight in society. Thus, the rehabilitation of women with TRM continues as a theme to be studied and addressed in health education activities, and even in the continuing education of health professionals, with a view to improving the quality of lives of these women. Trata-se de um estudo de Representação Social desenvolvido com objetivo de descrever a vivência de mulheres com trauma raquimedular (TRM) acerca da sexualidade e reprodução nestas condições. Participaram do estudo 11 mulheres acometidas por TRM, estas com vínculo na Associação de Deficientes Físicos de Rio Verde (ADEFIRV), na cidade de Rio Verde, Goiás. A coleta de dados realizou-se com o uso de questionário sociocultural e de evocações livres, além da realização de entrevista semiestruturada. A partir da análise dos resultados, constatou-se que os sentidos atribuídos pelas participantes à experiência da sexualidade e reprodução após o TRM, estão relacionados com preocupações específicas e experiência de vida com as limitações instaladas. Os resultados apontam para a diversidade de sentimentos que envolvem várias dimensões da sexualidade e reprodução, os quais vão além da perspectiva biológica e, notadamente, ultrapassam as prováveis limitações geradas pela TRM no caminho de ser mulher. O dendograma obtido apresenta dois eixos e cinco subcategorias. O eixo I trata de assuntos pertinentes a vivência nesta condição, sendo contemplado por quatro classes, respectivamente: cotidiano da vida, sexualidade e reprodução, dificuldades e enfrentamento. Já no eixo II, o qual trata dos aspectos subjetivos, está presente a classe denominada de percepções. As classes do eixo I revelaram, entre outros aspectos, simbolismos associados ao sexo, reprodução, relações afetivas antes e após o TRM e relações com o corpo. Agregar subsídios que poderão ser utilizados como suporte para aprimorar e fortalecer o apoio profissional no enfrentamento do TRM. Os profissionais de saúde e a mulher, ganham quando se dispõem a planejar um atendimento individualizado baseado na escuta ativa das pessoas atendidas. Os resultados encontrados revelam que a vivência da sexualidade da mulher acometida por TRM é marcada por um misto de sentimentos. Ao passo que demonstram insegurança de se manifestarem sexualmente, também referem o medo do abandono e da solidão, possivelmente devido aos conflitos de aceitação da nova imagem, que na maioria dos casos foi caracterizado por auto preconceito. A sexualidade e reprodução especificamente em mulheres tem peso expressivo na sociedade. Assim, a reabilitação de mulheres com TRM continua como temática a ser estudada e enfocada nas ações de educação em saúde, e mesmo na educação permanente dos profissionais de saúde, com vistas à melhoria da qualidade de vidas dessas mulheres.

Currently, infant deaths are understood as indicators of quality of life outcomes of a population, because they show that deaths could be prevented. The aim of this study was to identify spatial distribution patterns of infant deaths in the components neonatal and post-neonatal mortality from preventable causes and from all causes in the city of Goiânia, Goiás, in the 2012 period to 2013. It is a study the ecological type, accomplished through spatial analysis techniques of infant deaths of children under one year living in the city of Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil, between 2012 and 2013. Secondary data were collected through the Information System on Mortality . The International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision (ICD-10) and the Brazilian List of Deaths Preventable Causes of interventions by the Unified Health System in Brazil have been used for the classification of preventable deaths. Deaths were geocoded by the mother's home address using as reference the Map Goiania Urban. In this study it was possible to understand what were the main sources of maternal stress and the main coping strategies used by mothers. Study with qualitative and descriptive approach developed in order to know the main sources of stress mothers of crack users and children as these mothers face. Study with qualitative and descriptive approach developed in order to know the main sources of stress mothers of crack users and children as these mothers face. The study included 17 mothers 12 were recruited by means of registered phones in alcohol and drug Psychosocial Care Center (CAPSad) and five indicated by the participants themselves through the sampling method snowball. The interviews, conducted in CAPSad or domicile of the participants followed a script with four guiding questions. The content was transcribed and analyzed under the framework of Grounded Theory. The coding, analysis and interpretation of the data allowed the construction of categories, subcategories and the theoretical model that explains the scenario experienced by crack users mothers. The built central categories were: stress sources; Stress symptoms and coping strategies (coping). The subcategories are: Discovery: beginning of the nightmare for the mother; The effects of the child's dependence on the mother; family conflicts; emotional and physical exhaustion; Battle against addiction: personal strategies and seeking treatment; religious coping and social coping. Mothers experienced different and intense sources of stress from the moment they discover that the children are dependent. They faced a nightmare at home, they feel guilty, suffer to realize the effects that the crack causes in children are victims of violence by children, live immersed in fear and insecurity. The family is completely dysfunctional and the fights are Constant. While trying to retrieve the child and bring peace to the family mothers resorted to some extreme strategies and little socially acceptable, for example, have permissive attitudes and finance addiction, or use physical and verbal violence. Other strategies used now more efficient, were seeking treatment, find comfort through religion, faith and the support of friends. However, as mothers have few resources and found little or no support in the networks they should support them were exhausted physically and emotionally and announced their illness. These results may facilitate or promote the referral of mothers to assistance that meets their specific needs. The study also provides important warning to health professionals to promote preventive strategies, not only to crack users, but also for mothers and other family members with children in this situation. O crack, é um grande de saúde pública reflete na sociedade, nas famílias e principalmente nas mães que vivenciam a situação de ter um filho usuário. Neste estudo foi possível compreender quais foram as principais fontes de estresse materno e as principais estratégias de enfrentamento utilizadas pelas mães. Estudo com abordagem qualitativa e descritiva desenvolvido com o objetivo de conhecer as principais fontes de estresse das mães de filhos usuários de crack e como essas mães o enfrentam. Participaram do estudo 17 mães: 12 foram recrutadas por meio dos telefones cadastrados no Centro de Atenção Psicossocial de álcool e drogas (CAPSad) e, cinco indicadas pelas próprias participantes por meio do método amostral bola de neve. As entrevistas, realizadas no CAPSad ou no domicílio das participantes, seguiram um roteiro com quatro questões norteadoras. O conteúdo foi transcrito e analisado, sob o referencial da Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados. A codificação, a análise e a interpretação dos dados permitiram construir as categorias, subcategorias e o modelo teórico que explica o cenário vivido pelas mães de usuários do crack. As categorias centrais construídas foram: Fontes de estresse; Sintomas de estresse e Estratégias de enfrentamento (coping). As subcategorias foram: A descoberta: início do pesadelo para a mãe; Os efeitos da dependência do filho sobre a mãe; Conflitos familiares; Esgotamento emocional e físico; Batalha contra o vício: estratégias pessoais e busca por tratamento; Coping religioso e coping social. As mães vivenciaram diferentes e intensas fontes de estresse a partir do momento que descobrem que os filhos são dependentes. Elas enfrentaram um pesadelo dentro de casa, sentem-se culpadas, sofrem ao perceberem os efeitos que o crack provoca nos filhos, são vítimas de violência por parte dos filhos, vivem mergulhadas no medo e na insegurança. A família fica completamente desestruturada e as brigas são constantes. Na tentativa de recuperar o filho e trazer paz para a família as mães lançaram mão de algumas estratégias extremas e pouco aceitáveis socialmente, como, por exemplo, ter atitudes permissivas e financiar o vício, ou usar a violência física e verbal. Outras estratégias usadas, agora mais eficientes, foram buscar o tratamento, encontrar conforto por meio da religiosidade, da fé e do apoio dos amigos. Entretanto, como as mães possuem poucos recursos e encontraram pouco, ou nenhum, apoio nas redes que deveriam oferecer suporte elas ficaram esgotadas física e emocionalmente e anunciaram o seu adoecimento. Esses resultados poderão facilitar ou promover o encaminhamento das mães para uma assistência que atenda às suas necessidades específicas. O estudo também contribui com importante alerta aos profissionais da saúde no sentido de promover estratégias preventivas, não só para com os usuários do crack, mas também para as mães e demais familiares com filhos nessa situação.

This study is the analytical cross-sectional conducted with 670 children aged 8 to 12 years, of both sexes in public schools in Anapolis (GO). It was applied adapted epidemiological questionnaire directed to parents/guardians of children and evaluated: weight, height, calculated body mass index (BMI) percentile and children. Statistical analysis was performed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and logistic regression tests. The study included 455 children, and 215 excluded (32%) due to incomplete questionnaire completion. The children were divided into two groups: children not exposed to SHS (NSHS) and children exposed to SHS (ESHS). No significant differences were found between the group of children Nepta compared to TSAP group in the variables: sex (p=0,33), age (p=0,32), weight (p=0,25), height (p=0,74), BMI (p=0,06) and percentile (p=0,82). Parents of NSHS group had higher level of education (OR=0,67). Already maternal smoking during pregnancy was higher in the ESHS (OR=5,50) as reported by parents or guardians. The ESHS group had a greater number of families (OR=1,71) and children (OR=6,51) with a history of respiratory disease, as well as greater number of hospital admissions (OR=4,17). The ESHS group had higher incidence of rhinitis (OR=5,26), asthma (OR=48,15), bronchitis (OR=6,53) and pneumonia (OR=7,74) compared to NSHS group. As the smoking habits of the family ESHS group, it was found that most lies with only a smoker (77,3%), usually the father (53,4%) 20 who smoke conventional cigarettes per day (83,6% ) and expose the school for up to 6 hours per day (50,6%). Regarding housing, the NSHS children lived in homes with more windows (OR=0,48), unlike the ESHS group reported lower air circulation (OR=1,73). These findings indicate that children exposed to SHS have more chronic respiratory diseases and live in more unfavorable socioeconomic conditions. Therefore, educators and health professionals should promote the protection of those involved with information about the harmful effects of exposure to SHS and encourage cessation programs of parental smoking. O objetivo deste trabalho foi investigar os fatores de risco biológicos e ambientais de crianças expostas e as não expostas à poluição tabágica ambiental (PTA). Esse estudo é do tipo transversal analítico, realizado com 670 crianças de 8 a 12 anos, de ambos os sexos de escolas municipais de Anápolis (GO). Foi aplicado questionário epidemiológico adaptado direcionado aos pais/responsáveis das crianças e avaliados: o peso, a altura, calculado o índice de massa corporal (IMC) e percentil das crianças. A análise estatística foi realizada com os testes Kolmogorov-Smirnov e Regressão Logística. Participaram do estudo 455 crianças, e excluídas 215 (32%) devido preenchimento incompleto do questionário. As crianças foram divididas em dois grupos: crianças não expostas à PTA (NEPTA) e crianças expostas à PTA (EPTA). Não foram encontradas diferenças significativas entre o grupo de crianças NEPTA quando comparado ao grupo ETPA nas variáveis: sexo (p=0,33), idade (p=0,32), peso (p=0,25), altura (p=0,74), índice de massa corporal (IMC) (p=0,06) e percentil (p=0,82). Os pais do grupo NEPTA apresentaram maior grau de escolaridade (OR=0,67). Já o tabagismo materno durante a gestação foi maior no EPTA (OR=5,50) conforme relato dos pais ou responsáveis. O grupo EPTA teve maior número de familiares (OR=1,71) e de crianças (OR=6,51) com histórico de doença respiratória, assim como, maior número de internações hospitalares (OR=4,17). O grupo EPTA apresentou maior ocorrência de rinite (OR=5,26), asma (OR=48,15), bronquite (OR=6,53) e pneumonia (OR=7,74) comparado ao grupo NEPTA. Quanto aos hábitos tabágicos dos familiares do grupo EPTA, foi verificado que a maioria reside com apenas um tabagista (77,3%), comumente o pai (53,4%), que fumam até 20 cigarros convencionais por dia (83,6%) e expõem os escolares por até 6 horas diárias (50,6%). Em relação às condições de moradia, as crianças NEPTA moravam em residências com mais de janelas (OR=0,48), ao contrário do grupo EPTA que relatou menor circulação de ar (OR=1,73). Foi menor o registro da presença de mofo nas casas (OR=0,52) do grupo NEPTA. Esses achados indicam que crianças expostas à PTA apresentam mais doenças respiratórias crônicas e vivem em condições socioeconômicas mais desfavoráveis. Portanto, educadores e profissionais da saúde devem favorecer a proteção dos envolvidos com informações sobre os malefícios da exposição à PTA e estimular os programas de abandono do tabagismo parental.

The case-by-case assessment involved 249 people, aged 18 and older, with a confirmed high blood pressure diagnosis for at least a year. Treatment adherence was assessed using the eight-item Morisky Medication Adherence Scale (MMAS-8). The data were collected from December 2014 to August 2015 through analysis of medical records in addition to individual and structured interviews, followed by a descriptive analysis of the variables related to the patients’ socioeconomic status, health, interaction with the staff and health care system, drug therapy, as well as variables related to the patients. The study included 24 elderly of the city of Anapolis Goias, evaluated and subsequently underwent 24 sessions of hydrotherapy using the Halliwick Method. They were used as evaluation tools the Berg Balance Scale, Timed Up & Go and walk test 6 'applied before and after the sessions. From the data analysis, it was found that there was a statistically significant increase in dynamic balance and improved functional capacity of the research subjects. It was evident the lack of national and international studies involving the Halliwick method in the balance of elderly and did not find any article that relates the method with the functional capacity of the elderly. For this reason and also for checking the effectiveness of other treatment methods, it is necessary more research on the subject, after the method appears to be quite effective in other areas studied and other populations studied. Trata-se de uma dissertação composta por um artigo que será submetido à Revista Fisioterapia e Pesquisa, intitulado “Efeitos da hidroterapia no equilíbrio e capacidade funcional de idosos não institucionalizados”, com os seguintes descritores: hidroterapia, idosos, equilíbrio e capacidade funcional. Participaram do estudo 24 idosos da cidade de Anápolis, Goiás, avaliados e posteriormente submetidos a 24 sessões de hidroterapia utilizando o Método Halliwick. Foram utilizados como instrumentos de avaliação a Escala de Equilíbrio de Berg, Timed Up & Go e Teste de caminhada 6’ aplicados antes e após as sessões realizadas. A partir das análises dos dados, verificou-se que houve aumento estatisticamente significativo do equilíbrio dinâmico e melhora da capacidade funcional dos sujeitos da pesquisa. Ficou evidente a escassez de estudos nacionais e internacionais que envolvam o método Halliwick no equilíbrio de idosos e não foi encontrado nenhum artigo que relacionasse o método com a capacidade funcional de idosos. Por esse motivo e também para a verificação da eficácia de outros métodos de tratamento, torna-se necessário mais pesquisas sobre o assunto, afinal o método mostra-se bastante eficaz em outras áreas estudadas e em outras populações pesquisadas.

The aim of this study was to analyze the prevalence of asthma in children six years of age, enrolled in public schools in the city of Goiânia, Goiás. It was a cross-sectional population-based study with students of both sexes from April to July 2014. Data were collected through interviews with 508 children from 27 selected schools. The data analysis used the implementation of Phase I of the International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Childhood (ISAAC) questionnaire in wich parents were interviewed to identify cases and related symptoms. Descriptive analysis was performed and the data was stratified by gender and the percentages of the responses concerning asthma symptoms were calculated. This study found that the prevalence of asthma in children 6 years old in Goiânia was high and that the disease is underdiagnosed in this population. This was the first population-based study conducted in schools in Goiânia for this age group, and the need for additional studies is evident in order to implement active public policies and applicability for the diagnosis, treatment and management of disease. A asma é a doença crônica mais comum na infância e a sua prevalência vem aumentado consideravelmente nas últimas décadas. O objetivo do presente estudo foi analisar a prevalência de asma em crianças de seis anos de idade, matriculadas em escolas públicas do município de Goiânia, Goiás. Tratou-se de um estudo transversal de base populacional com escolares matriculados em 27 escolas sorteadas do município de Goiânia, GO. As informações foram coletadas , de abril a julho de 2014, por meio de entrevistas com 508 crianças. Aplicou-se o questionário International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Childhood (ISAAC) Fase I, para a identificação dos casos e sintomas relacionados. Foi realizada a análise descritiva e estratificados os dados por sexo, calculados os percentuais de resposta às questões referentes aos sintomas de asma. O presente estudo identificou que a prevalência de asma entre escolares de 6 anos, de Goiânia, foi de 29,5% e 8,1% de asma diagnosticada, caracterizando que a doença é subdiagnósticada nessa população. Este foi o primeiro estudo de base populacional em escolares, realizado na capital, nessa faixa etária e a necessidade de mensurações adicionais são evidentes para que sejam traçados parâmetros de comparação, no intuito de implementar políticas públicas e de grande aplicabilidade para o manejo do diagnóstico e da terapêutica da doença.

The dissertation was built in the type of article and consists of two articles. O Article 1 it is an integrative literature review aimed to select and critically analyze the publications that evaluated the quality of life of patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) by through the IT Assessment Questionnaire (ALSAQ-40 and / or ALSAQ-5) between 2004 and 2015. We identified 08 articles in the MEDLINE and PubMed databases. The most affected domains of quality of life of patients were physical mobility and activities of daily living. In patients with ALS bulbar, communication and power were most affected. Problems with health care and the lack of social support to the caregiver negatively impacted the quality of life. Emotional stress correlated with communication, physical mobility and disease progression in patients with artificial respiration and feeding, but is not directly related to advances in physical deterioration but how the patient processes the experiences of it. The feeling more negative impact on patient quality of life was hopeless and less negative impact was depression. Article 2 it is a descriptive, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach, in order to analyze the quality of life of patients with ALS through ALSAQ-40 instrument. Participated in 30 ALS patients from a rehabilitation center and rehabilitation in Goias, Brazil. It was used as the instrument ALSAQ-40, of sociodemographic and clinical profile plug, Economic Classification Criteria of Brazil (CCEB). The patients had all areas of ALSAQ-40 affected, being, physical mobility (76.27) and activities of daily living (73.00) the most affected, and feeding (52,20) the least affected. Female patients, aged less than 50 years, with three or more children, without their own mode of transport, without health insurance, with time of diagnosis to the date of interview higher or equal to one year, they wore seat wheels and home care had worse quality of life. We conclude that the use of specific tool for assessing the patient's quality of life with ALS, ALSAQ-40 is suitable for development of strategies and action plans by the multidisciplinary team in improving care and quality of life of these patients. Knowing the reality they live in ALS patients may contribute to the implementation of policies for motor neuron diseases, improving multidisciplinary care and access to public services, improved public transportation and dedicated to patient technology in order to foster greater independence in ADLs due to greater impairment of quality of life in this regard. A Esclerose Lateral Amiotrófica (ELA) é uma doença neurodegenerativa que compromete o neurônio motor, progressiva, fatal e sem cura, de causa multifatorial, acomentendo indivíduos após a sua quinta década de vida. A dissertação foi construída na modalidade de artigo e consta de dois artigos. O artigo 1 trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura que objetivou selecionar e analisar criticamente as publicações que avaliaram a qualidade de vida de pacientes com Esclerose Lateral Amiotrófica (ELA) por meio do Questionário de Avaliação da ELA (ALSAQ-40 e/ou ALSAQ-5) entre 2004 e 2015. Foram identificados 08 artigos nas bases de dados MEDLINE e Pubmed. Os domínios mais prejudicados da qualidade de vida dos pacientes foram mobilidade física e atividades de vida diária. Já em pacientes com ELA bulbar, comunicação e alimentação foram mais prejudicados. Problemas com a assistência à saúde e a falta de apoio social ao cuidador impactaram negativamente a qualidade de vida. O estresse emocional se correlacionou com a comunicação, mobilidade física e progressão da doença em pacientes com respiração e alimentação artificial, mas não está diretamente relacionado aos avanços da deterioração física e sim como o paciente processa as experiências vividas por ele. O sentimento com maior impacto negativo na qualidade de vida do paciente foi a desesperança e com menor impacto negativo, a depressão. O artigo 2 trata-se de um estudo descritivo, transversal, com abordagem quantitativa, com o objetivo de analisar a qualidade de vida de pacientes com ELA, por meio do instrumento ALSAQ-40. Participaram 30 pacientes com ELA de um centro de reabilitação e readaptação em Goiás, Brasil. Utilizou-se como instrumento o ALSAQ- 40, ficha de perfil sociodemográfico e clínico, Critério de Classificação Econômica do Brasil (CCEB). Os pacientes tiveram todos os domínios do ALSAQ-40 afetados, sendo, mobilidade física (76,27) e atividades de vida diária (73,00) os mais prejudicados, e alimentação (52,20) o menos afetado. Pacientes do sexo feminino, com idade igual ou inferior a 50 anos, com três ou mais filhos, sem meio de transporte próprio, sem plano de saúde, com tempo de diagnóstico maior ou igual a um ano, que usavam cadeira de rodas e em atendimento domiciliar tiveram pior qualidade de vida. Conclui-se que o uso do instrumento específico de avaliação da qualidade de vida do paciente com ELA, ALSAQ-40 é indicado para elaboração de estratégias e planos de intervenção pela equipe multiprofissional na melhora da assistência e da qualidade de vida destes pacientes. Conhecer a realidade em que vivem os pacientes com ELA poderá contribuir para a implementação de políticas voltadas para as doenças do neurônio motor, melhorando a assistência multiprofissional e o acesso ao atendimento público, melhora no transporte público e tecnologia voltada ao paciente, a fim de favorecer uma maior independência nas AVD’s, devido ao maior comprometimento da qualidade de vida neste aspecto.

We used the guidelines of World Health organization for children over six years, which recommend the practice of 60 minutes of physical activity (PA) of moderate to vigorous to identify AF habits of school. For data collection were conducted interviews with parents of children using a form with structured questions. The following variables were used: gender, age, skin color, family income, maternal education, level of physical activity (commuting to school, number of times per week). Physically inactive were considered the children who did not perform at least 60 minutes / day of physical activity. For data analysis, descriptive statistics were used. Results: 482 children participated in the study. The prevalence of physical inactivity was 31.9% higher in females (37.6% - 95% CI: 31.8 to 43.7) than men (25.6% -IC95%; 20.2 to 31, 5). There was no difference in prevalence between the active and inactive children physically registered in the Family Health Strategy (p = 0.969). It is concluded that physical inactivity among children was high and the meaning of the practice activity will be reflected in the quality of life of children and futurante adulthood contributing to researchers, those responsible for students, education and health professionals care and / or work with these students, to rethink their practice and then seek care models to more integralizadores health that physical activity and child's individuality are valued and guiding aspects of their actions. This study contributed to the schools to review the sedentary lifestyle and propose changes through regular physical activity as part of a healthy lifestyle. Trata-se de um estudo transversal desenvolvido com objetivo de descrever a prevalência de inatividade física em escolares com idade entre seis a sete anos de ambos os sexos, matriculados na rede pública de ensino, no municipio de Goiânia, Goiás. Foi utilizado as diretrizes da Organização Mundial de Saúde para crianças com idade acima de seis anos, as quais recomendam a prática de 60 minutos de Atividade Física (AF) de intensidade moderada a vigorosa a fim de identificar hábitos de AF dos escolares. Para coleta de dados realizou-se entrevistas com os pais das crianças utilizando um formulário, com perguntas estruturadas. Foram utilizadas as seguintes variáveis: sexo, idade, cor da pele, renda familiar, escolaridade da mãe, nível de atividade física (deslocamento para escola, número de vezes por semana). Foram consideradas inativas fisicamente as crianças que não realizavam, no mínimo, 60 minutos/dia de atividade física. Para a análise de dados, foi utilizada a estatística descritiva. Resultados: participaram do estudo 482 crianças. A prevalência de inatividade física foi de 31,9%, maior no sexo feminino (37,6% - IC95%: 31,8 a 43,7) que masculino (25,6% -IC95%: 20,2 a 31,5). Não houve diferença na prevalência entre as crianças ativas e inativas fisicamente cadastradas na Estratégia Saúde da Família (p=0,969). Conclui-se que a inatividade física entre os escolares foi alta e o significado da prática de atividade terá reflexo na qualidade de vida das crianças e futurante na fase adulta contribuindo para que pesquisadores, os responsáveis pelos alunos, profissionais de educação e saúde que cuidam e/ou trabalham com estes escolares, possam repensar sua prática e, então, buscar modelos de atenção à saúde mais integralizadores em que a atividade física e individualidade da criança sejam aspectos valorizados e norteadores de suas ações. Este estudo contribuiu para que as escolas possam rever o estilo de vida sedentário e propor mudanças através da prática regular de atividade física, como parte de um estilo de vida saudável.

The first to be submitted to the journal "Ciência e Saúde Coletiva", entitled "Predictors of burden of family caregivers of patients with stroke sequel: integrative literature review", using the keywords "Caregivers", "Stroke "and" Overload ", an integrative literature review was performed, including scientific articles published between 2005-2015. The sample included 12 articles in English and two articles in Portuguese. The main predictors of burden on family caregivers were female, not relay the act of caring, the presence of depression and the degree of functional dependence of the patient. The lack of technical preparation, social, emotional and financial support also correlated with the presence of caregiver burden. It was evident the lack of studies, mainly national, to address this issue within the Brazilian socio-economic and cultural reality. In this sense, in a second article to be submitted to "Revista Latino-Americana de Enfermagem", entitled "Quality of life and overload of family caregivers of patients with stroke sequel," a cross-sectional study, procurou- to evaluate the quality of life and the burden of 150 family caregivers of patients with stroke sequel. The following instruments were used: the questionnaire for assessing the quality of life of the World Health Organization, smaller version in Portuguese (WHOQOL-BREF) to assess the quality of life of caregivers, the overload Assessment Questionnaire Informal Caregiver (QASCI) to assess the burden of care, the Criterion of economic Classification Brazil (CCEB) to trace the economic profile of caregivers, and a questionnaire to assess the sociodemographic profile of the same. Most caregivers were female, mean age 46, married, spouses and residing with patients. Most had elementary or high school, had car itself, performed the function over 12 months and did not have support for the relay in care. The characteristics that contributed most to the burden of care and poorer quality of life of the caregiver were careful to time more than 12 months, the absence of the relay in the care, lack of family support and social isolation. It was evident that support family caregivers public policy should be developed, especially with regard to the hours of care and relay in care, since it was shown that the lack of time to care for himself and to perform leisure activities exposes caregivers to health risks. Trata-se de uma dissertação composta por dois artigos. No primeiro, que será submetido à revista “Ciência e Saúde Coletiva”, intitulado “Fatores preditores de sobrecarga do cuidador familiar de pacientes com sequela de Acidente Vascular Cerebral: revisão integrativa da literatura”, utilizando os descritores “Cuidadores”, “Acidente Vascular Cerebral” e “Sobrecarga”, foi realizada uma revisão integrativa da literatura, incluindo artigos científicos publicados no período de 2005 a 2015. Fizeram parte da amostra 12 artigos na língua inglesa e dois artigos em português. Os principais fatores preditores de sobrecarga nos cuidadores familiares foram o sexo feminino, o não revezamento do ato de cuidar, a presença de depressão e o grau de dependência funcional do paciente. A falta de preparo técnico, suporte social, emocional e financeiro também se relacionaram com a presença de sobrecarga do cuidador. Ficou evidente a escassez de estudos, principalmente nacionais, que abordem este tema dentro da realidade socioeconômica e cultural brasileira. Neste sentido, em um segundo artigo que será submetido à “Revista Latino-Americana de Enfermagem”, com o título “Qualidade de vida e Sobrecarga dos cuidadores familiares de pacientes com sequela de Acidente Vascular Cerebral”, um estudo do tipo transversal, procurou-se avaliar a qualidade de vida e a sobrecarga de 150 cuidadores familiares de pacientes com sequela de Acidente Vascular Cerebral. Foram utilizados os seguintes instrumentos: o questionário de avaliação da qualidade de vida da Organização Mundial da Saúde, versão reduzida, em português (WHOQOL-bref) para avaliar a qualidade de vida dos cuidadores, o Questionário de Avaliação de Sobrecarga do Cuidador Informal (QASCI) para avaliar a sobrecarga do cuidado, o Critério de Classificação Econômica Brasil (CCEB) para traçar o perfil econômico dos cuidadores, e um questionário para avaliar o perfil sociodemográfico dos mesmos. Os resultados mostraram que a maioria dos cuidadores era do sexo feminino, com idade média de 46 anos, casados, cônjuges e residiam com os pacientes. A maior parte possuía o ensino fundamental ou médio, tinha carro próprio, realizava a função a mais de 12 meses e não possuía suporte para o revezamento no cuidado. As características que mais contribuíram para a sobrecarga do cuidado e pior qualidade de vida do cuidador foram o tempo de cuidado superior a 12 meses, a ausência do revezamento no cuidado, a falta de apoio da família e o isolamento social. Ficou evidente que políticas públicas de apoio ao cuidador familiar devem ser elaboradas, principalmente no que se refere às horas diárias de cuidado e revezamento no cuidado, visto que ficou demonstrado que a falta de tempo para cuidar de si próprio e para realizar atividades de lazer expõe os cuidadores a riscos de saúde.

One of rational forms of influence treatment, and reduce the uncertainty in the empirical treatment is knowledge of regional epidemiology and the susceptibility to antimicrobial agents available in the health care network. The objective of this study was to describe the epidemiological characteristics of urinary infections original from Communities in women, the main microorganisms isolated from urine cultures and patterns of resistance to commonly used antimicrobials. Epidemiological study, descriptive, cross-sectional, retrospective using urine cultures and antibiograms reports, carried out in private laboratories located in the city of Goiânia, in the period from 2011 to 2014. There were 92.474 reports which were analyzed from January 2011 to December 2014, the prevalence of positive urine culture was 8.0% (n = 7.404), women represented 84.9% (n = 6.286) of the positive urine cultures in the age group between 35-64 years, and the E. coli (73.8%) the main organism responsible for UTIs. The highest percentage of resistance to E. coli was ampicillin (51,3%), cephalothin (31,0%), trimethoprim (26,5%) and quinolone (nalidixic acid, ciprofloxacina and norfloxacina). Gram-positive were more significant resistance to clindamycin and erythromycin. As infecções do trato urinário (ITU) são muito comuns e são causadas, principalmente, por bacilos gram-negativos. Uma das formas racionais de influenciar positivamente o tratamento e reduzir o grau de incerteza na terapia empírica é o conhecimento da epidemiologia regional e o padrão de suscetibilidade aos agentes antimicrobianos disponíveis na rede de assistência à saúde. O objetivo deste estudo foi descrever as características epidemiológicas das infecções urinárias de origem comunitária em mulheres, os principais microrganismos isolados dos urocultivos e os padrões de resistência aos antimicrobianos comumente utilizados. Estudo epidemiológico, descritivo, transversal, retrospectivo, mediante a utilização de laudos de uroculturas e antibiogramas, realizados em laboratórios privados, localizados no município de Goiânia, no período de 2011 a 2014. Foram analisados 92.474 laudos de janeiro de 2011 a dezembro de 2014, cuja prevalência de urocultura positiva foi de 8,0% (n=7404), e as mulheres representaram 84,9% (n=6.286) dos urocultivos positivos na faixa etária entre 35 a 64 anos, sendo a E. Coli (73,8%) o principal microrganismo responsável pelas ITUs. A maior percentagem de resistência, em relação à E. Coli, coube à ampicilina (51,3%), cefalotina (31,0%), trimetropina (26,5%) e ao grupo das quinolonas, com ácido nalidíxico (26,0%), ciprofloxacima (22,6%) e norfloxacima (17,1%). Os gram-positivos apresentaram mais resistência à clindamicina e eritromicina.

Fifty students, of 12 years old, enrolled in public school in Goiânia - GO, was attended. Dental plaque was disclosured in students before and after the educational intervention. The educational intervention occurred for five weeks. During this time the students carried out activities aimed at building knowledge and grounded in Maguerez`s Arc. There was an interval of two months between the end of the intervention educational and the disclosure post-intervention. Interview was conducted containing questions about sociodemographic conditions to those responsible for students to characterize the study population and relating the index dental plaque found after the intervention with these characteristics. Fifty students participated in the study. There was an average of the indexes of dental plaque in the pre-intervention disclosure of 88.8% and after the intervention was 72.7%. 82% of fifty study participant had lower dental plaque index in disclosure after intervention. There was no significant relationship between socioeconomic factors of the students and the reduction of plaque index. After two months of the end of educational activity, the students kept the built knowledge during the educational intervention, reflected by the decrease in index of dental plaque. The educational intervention with active methodologies was enough to reduce dental plaque accumulation after brushing in most students, regardless of social and economic factors, highlighting the emancipatory character of this methodology. Estudo quase experimental do tipo antes e depois realizado em Escola Municipal de Goiânia – GO, cadastrada no Programa Saúde na Escola. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a efetividade de uma ação educativa com uso de metodologias ativas na redução dos índices de placa dental em estudantes. Participaram cinquenta estudantes de 12 anos de idade matriculados na escola. Foi realizada evidenciação de placa dental dos estudantes antes e após a intervenção educativa. A evidenciação de placa foi realizada nos dois momentos após uma escovação não orientada e não supervisionada. A intervenção educativa ocorreu por meio da problematização, durante cinco semanas e os estudantes realizaram atividades visando à construção do conhecimento e pautadas no Arco de Maguerez. Houve intervalo de dois meses entre o fim da intervenção educativa e a evidenciação pósintervenção. Foi realizada entrevista contendo perguntas sobre condições sóciodemográficas aos responsáveis pelos estudantes a fim de caracterizar a população do estudo e relacionar o índice de placa dental encontrado após a intervenção com essas características. Verificou-se média dos índices de placa dental na evidenciação pré-intervenção de 88,8% e após a intervenção a média foi de 72,7%. Dos cinquenta participantes do estudo 82% apresentaram menor índice de placa dental na evidenciação após a intervenção. Não houve relação significativa entre os fatores socioeconômicos dos estudantes e a redução dos índices de placa. Após dois meses do fim da atividade educativa os estudantes mantiveram o conhecimento construído durante a intervenção educativa, refletido pela diminuição dos índices de placa dental. A intervenção educativa com as metodologias ativas foi suficiente para reduzir o acúmulo de placa dental após a escovação na maioria dos estudantes, independentemente dos fatores sociais e econômicos. Evidenciando o caráter emancipatório dessa metodologia.

A study of integrative literature review was conducted, within a timeframe of five years, including the publications between 2009 to 2014, about urinary tract infection of community origin. A total of 1319 publications was found, of these thirty six fulfilled the eligibility criterion. Urinary tract infections affect people worldwide and the Escherichia coli represents the main microorganism isolated. The empirical treatment happens in large proportions and the E. coli showed an increase in the rate of resistance to most antibiotics tested in the studies, is also worrying the spread of betalactamases-producing strains of broad spectrum. In some regions of Brazil, the antibiotics such as ampicillin, sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim, norfloxacin, cephalothin and nalidixic acid should be avoided, whereas nitrofurantoin and cefuroxime can still be used safely. As infecções urinárias de origem comunitária, causadas pela Escherichia coli, é um problema de saúde pública, podem estar associadas com infecção causadas por E. coli multirresistente.Objetivou-se descrever a prevalência e o perfil de sensibilidade da Escherichia coli na infecção urinária de origem comunitária e identificar a produção científica acerca da temática. Realizou-se um estudo de revisão integrativa da literatura, num recorte temporal de cinco anos, incluindo as publicações entre 2009 a 2014, sobre infecção do trato urinário de origem comunitária. Encontrou-se um total de 1319 publicações, destas trinta e seis atenderam ao criterio de eligibilidade. Infecções do trato urinário afetam pessoas no mundo inteiro e Escherichia colirepresenta o principal microrganismo isolado. O tratamento empírico acontece em largas proporções e E. coli apresentou elevadas taxas de resistência à maioria dos antibióticos testados nos estudos, sendo preocupante também a disseminação de cepas produtoras de betalactamases de amplo espectro. Em algumas regiões do Brasil, antibióticos como ampicilina, sulfametoxazol/trimetoprim, ácido pipemídico, cefalotina e ácido nalidíxico devem ser evitados, ao passo que nitrofurantoína e cefuroxima ainda podem ser utilizados com segurança.
