Instituto Superior Nuestra Señora de la Paz; Argentina Resumen: Hospital Británico es la última obra del poeta místico argentino Héctor Viel Temperley (1933-1987) y es aquella que resume su biografía literaria. En su composición hospeda versos de su propia obra que construyen el marco de la experiencia de Dios que se expresa inicialmente. La enfermedad y la locura son tópicos de este extenso poema y a la vez signos que expresan una espiritualidad que se siente ajena a la sociedad en la que surge y una poética extrañada que debe crear su propia referencia. A partir de algunos conceptos enunciados por J. Derrida en su texto La hospitalidad, analizaremos los alcances de esta doble violencia. Abstract: Hospital Británico is Argentine mystic poet Héctor Viel Temperley’s latest poem and the one that summarizes his literary biography. In its composition it hosts verses of his own work which build God’s experience framework initially expressed. Sickness and madness are themes and signs of this extensive poem denoting a spirituality perceived as alien to the society in which it emerges and an estranged poetics that must create its own reference. We will analyze the scope of this double violence building on some concepts stated in Derrida’s Hospitality.

Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas; Argentina Resumen: La fenomenología contemporánea ha repensado el lugar de la subjetividad a partir de la receptividad, ya sea del Ser, del otro, del Acontecimiento, o del fenómeno en general. En este contexto, la obra de Marion propone una acogida de los fenómenos a partir de su donación. Al tomar la iniciativa el fenómeno mismo que se da a partir de sí, el sujeto queda en la posición de la receptividad, de recibir lo que se le da, siendo el responsable de los modos de fenomenalización. En este trabajo proponemos profundizar la dimensión de responsabilidad del sujeto en la obra de Marion a la hora de recibir, hospedar y fenomenalizar aquello que se le da. Abstract: The contemporary phenomenology has rethought the place of subjectivity starting from receptivity, whether it is from the self, the other, the event or the phenomena in general. Whithin this context, Marion’s work proposes a reception of the phenomena from their giveness. Given that the phenomena take the initiative that is given by its own self, the subject is left in the position of receptivity, by receiving what it is given and being responsible for the modes of phenominalization. In this paper, we propose to dive deep into the dimension of the subject’s responsibility whitin Marion’s work when it comes to receiving, hosting and phenominalising what’s given.

Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina; Argentina Resumen: En este artículo la Regla de San Benito, en su capítulo dedicado a la recepción de los huéspedes, es el punto de partida para hablar de hospitalidad, identificando los rasgos salientes que dieron lugar a la formación de Europa. Búsqueda del Lógos, en el ejercicio de una razón abierta a la trascendencia, atención al otro, constituyen claves para reapropiarse del espíritu tradicional que surgió en la síntesis cristiana, y que está llamado a actualizarse siempre. Del Noce ayuda a entender entonces cómo la crisis actual es producto de una lucha contra toda trascendencia. Abstract: In this article the Rule of Saint Benedict, in the chapter related to the welcome of guests, is the starting point to talk about hospitality, identifying the salient features which fostered the formation of Europe. The search for Lógos, the exercise of reason open to transcendence, attention to the other, constitute key concepts to reappropiate the traditional spirit born in the Christian synthesis, and which is to be continuously renewed. Del Noce helps to understand how the actual crisis is the product of a battle against all forms of transcendence.

Resumen: La vida hospitalizada de Jacobo Fijman es de por sí un tema y un factor generador de un cierto tipo de discursividad, que podemos identificar en un conjunto de poemas inéditos legados a su amigo O. H. Dondo al cabo de que lo rescatara de otra institución hospitalaria, “Colonia Neuropsiquiátrica Domingo Cabred”, comúnmente llamada Open Door. El sujeto poético de estas composiciones está íntimamente determinado por las alternantes necesidades de apertura y de cerrazón ante el otro y Lo Otro. Veremos de qué manera se lleva al lenguaje poético el fenómeno de la hospitalidad en diversas ocurrencias. Abstract: The hospitalized life of Jacobo Fijman is a topic itself, and also a generative factor of a certain type of discursiveness, which can be identified in a set of unpublished poems bequeathed to his friend O. H. Dondo, after he was rescued from another hospital institution, “Domingo Cabred Neuropsychiatric Colony”, known as “Open Door”. The poetic subject in these compositions is intimately determined by the alternating needs of opening and closing to the others and the Other. We will briefly see how the phenomenon of hospitality is brought to poetic language in various occurrences.

La literatura bíblica es abundante al respecto. Al partir el pan se produce una suerte de hierofanía, es decir, de manifestación de lo divino. En la Argentina, esto se da en forma paradigmática en torno al mate. Abstract: The hospitality around the table has been the subject of brilliant pages by authors such as Homer, Proust or Dinesen, among others. Biblical literature is abundant in this regard. Sharing the bread produces a sort of hierophany, that is, a manifestation of the divine. In Argentina, this occurs in a paradigmatic way around mate.

Resumen: Este artículo procura analizar la personificación retórica de la muerte, en la tercera parte de las Coplas a la muerte de su padre de Jorge Manrique, a la luz de las categorías de otredad absoluta de Emmanuel Levinas y hospitalidad incondicional de Jacques Derrida. Después de haber considerado a la muerte como un objeto abstracto conceptualizable, en la primera parte del poema, y como un sujeto alocutario mudo, en la segunda, la estrategia de Manrique de presentar a la muerte en la tercera parte como una persona real y parlante, que llega inesperada como un huésped incondicional y como un otro absoluto, finalmente le permite alcanzar y expresar el verdadero significado antropológico y metafísico de la muerte. Abstract: This article attempts to analyze the rhetorical personification of death in the third part of Jorge Manrique’s Coplas a la muerte de su padre, in the light of Emmanuel Levinas’ absolute alterity and Jacques Derrida’s unconditional hospitality categories. After having considered death as an abstract conceptual object, in the first part of the poem, and as a mute allocutary subject, in the second one, Manrique’s strategy of presenting death in the third part as a real speaking person, who comes unexpected as an unconditional guest and as an absolute other, finally allows himself to reach and express the true anthropological and metaphysical meaning of death.

Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina; Argentina Resumen: En este artículo, se hace referencia al “segundo individualismo”, característico de la Postmodernidad que Gilles Lipovetsky describe. El sociólogo advierte que hacia los años setenta del siglo XX se apodera de lo humano un ansia total de libertad individual, cierta indiferencia y apatía con respecto a todo lo ajeno; búsquedas de satisfacciones inmediatas, junto con un afán de seducción y de consumismo inigualables. En esta línea de exaltación de lo individual ubicamos el nuevo ideal técnico eugenésico. Norbert Wiener y Peter Sloterdijk, entre otros científicos, declararon en aquellos momentos que había llegado la hora de producir y modificar al hombre mismo. Los pensadores y científicos transhumanistas en esta línea, munidos de gran apoyo institucional y económico, trabajan para lograr una eugenesia genética humana; alejar lo más posible la mortalidad por técnicas regenerativas y crear un ser posthumano. Nos preguntamos si este “enhanced man”, en la línea de un extremo individualismo, resulta un hombre completo, realizado o si la aventura humana involucra, entre otros aspectos, las relaciones difíciles pero gozosas de coparticipación personal. La hospitalidad parece gozar de capacidades bifrontes: al donarnos como casa para el que sufre alguna carencia, paradójicamente, acrecentamos y realizamos nuestras capacidades físicas y espirituales como Romano Guardini, Edmond Jabès, Emmanuel Levinas o Adela Cortina, nos han enseñado a discernir. Nos detendremos especialmente en algunas consideraciones de Nikolai Berdiaev, quien afirma que, solo en la comunión o en el recibimiento cordial del otro, tiene lugar el encuentro con uno mismo y el contacto con el misterio que envuelve y escapa a todo lo humano. Abstract: In this article, we refer to “the second individualism" characteristic of Postmodernity, described for Gilles Lipovetsky. The sociologist warns that around the 1970s, a total desire for individual freedom, indifference and apathy towards everything that is foreign to us, a search for immediate satisfaction together with an unparalleled desire for seduction and consumerism, took hold of the human being. In this line of exaltation of the individual we find the new eugenic technical ideal. Norbert Wiener and Peter Sloterdijk, among other scientists, had declared that the time had come to produce and modify man himself. The transhumanist thinkers and scientists in this line, armed with great institutional and economic support, work to achieve human genetic eugenics; to keep mortality as far away as possible by regenerative techniques and to create a post-human being. We wonder if this “enhanced man¨ is a realized man. Hospitality seems to have two sides: by giving ourselves as a home for those who are in need, paradoxically, we increase and realize our physical and spiritual capacities, as Romano Guardini, Edmond Jabès, Emmanuel Levinas and Adela Cortina have taught us to discern. We will dwell in particular on some of Nikolai Berdiaev's considerations, who affirms that only in communion or in the cordial reception of the other does the encounter with oneself take place and the contact with the mystery that envelops and escapes all that is human.

Universidad del Sagrado Corazón; Puerto Rico Resumen: La escritora brasileña Hilda Hilst (1930-2004) tuvo un período de intensa escritura dramática que coincidió con el inicio y recrudecimiento de la Dictadura Militar en Brasil. Poeta y narradora también, la estética de Hilst gravitó de una manera singular entre el misticismo y lo disruptivamente obsceno. En la obra O Visitante de 1968, los personajes hospedan a un extraño que, lejos de recrear la visitación angélica de Gabriel problematiza aquella veterotestamentaria bajo la encina de Mambré, haciendo eco de los ángulos teóricos de lo que es el extranjero según Jacques Derrida. Así, centrándose en el personaje que da título a esta obra de teatro contemporáneo brasileño, este trabajo pretende estudiar el uso que hace Hilda Hilst del ideario del huésped como presencia extraña, de disrupción de la comodidad doméstica que, a la vez, se presenta como transgresión de la kalokagathía artistotélica. Encuadrándose en la teoría cultural de la hospitalidad aplicada a la literatura, este ensayo intentará un análisis de la figura del hospedado, anclado en la perspectiva bíblica, así como guiado por la propuesta teológica transgresora de Marcella Althaus-Reid. Abstract: The Brazilian writer Hilda Hilst (1930-2004) had a period of intense dramatic writing that coincided with the beginning and resurgence of the Military Dictatorship in Brazil. Poet and narrator, Hilst's aesthetics gravitated in a unique way between mysticism and the disruptively obscene. In O Visitante of 1968, the characters host a stranger who, far from recreating Gabriel's angelic visitation, problematizes the veterotestamentary angels’ visitation under the oak of Mambré, echoing the theoretical angles of what the foreigner is according to Jacques Derrida. Thus, focusing on the character that gives title to this contemporary Brazilian play, this work aims to study Hilda Hilst's use of the guest's ideology as a strange presence, of disruption of domestic comfort that, at the same time, is presented as transgression of the Aristotelical kalokagathia. Based on the cultural theory of hospitality applied to literature, this essay will attempt an analysis of the figure of the host, anchored in the biblical perspective as well as guided by the transgressive theological proposal of Marcella Althaus-Reid

Fil: Saliva, Alicia. Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero; Argentina Resumen: Miserere (2013) es el último poemario publicado por Adélia Prado, ya a sus 79 años. Para ella, desde sus primeros libros, la poesía es un lugar hospitalario: “Qualquer coisa é a casa da poesia”. No rechaza ningún fenómeno humano y, entre los innumerables temas que encuentran casa en su escritura, la muerte es uno de los que más le preocupa. Todas las inflexiones posibles acerca del morir fueron pasando a través del tiempo hasta llegar a Miserere, casi cuarenta años después de sus comienzos en la escena literaria. Es un libro atrevido, un desplante en contra de la inexistencia. Adélia va generando una inversión de significado a lo largo de los treinta y ocho poemas: la muerte abandona su anonimato y viene llena de vida. Veremos de qué modo construye este nuevo semantismo de la muerte, acogida y acogedora, inexistente en cuanto a su condición letal. A través de las cuatro secciones del libro total que es Miserere pone en evidencia que solo si ya en este ahora comienza el mutuo recibirse con el Hospedero del más allá –un ahora misterioso y, sobre todo, pedido constante de compasión– se puede pensar la muerte como continuidad y plenitud con esa relación de amorosa hospitalidad. Abstract: Miserere (2013) is the last poetry book published by Adélia Pradio, at the age of 79. Poetry has always been, even in her first books, a welcoming place: “everything finds its home in poetry.” She does not avoid any human phenomenon and, among the countless topics that house in her writing, death is the most troubling for her. All possible inflections about dying have transformed over time leading to Miserere, released almost 40 years after the beginning of her literary career. It is a bold book that rejects inexistence itself. Adélia slowly inverts meanings through her thirty-eight poems: death stops being anonymous and appears full of life. In the book, we can see how she creates a new sense of death, welcomed and welcoming, no longer lethal. Through the four different sections that make up Miserere, she shows that, only if we start welcoming each other now, in a present that is mysterious and filled with a need of compassion, we will be able to think of death as a continue and absolute relationship with its loving hospitality.

Facultad de Filosofía y Letras; Argentina Resumen: Ante la pregunta de qué significa hoy ser un sujeto en tránsito, uno de los aspectos esenciales a la noción de hospitalidad, resulta estimulante indagar sobre este tópico en los ejemplos que nos ofrecen las literaturas actuales. Una autora que ofrece una reflexión sostenida e intensa sobre el tema es la escritora argentina-brasileña Paloma Vidal. Nacida en Buenos Aires en 1975, esta autora vive desde los dos años en Brasil a causa del exilio de los padres. Sus textos, escritos en lengua portuguesa, son traducidos al español, como por ejemplo su novela Algún lugar, publicada originalmente en 2009, apareció en castellano en Argentina recién en el año 2017. En un relato que coquetea con lo auto-ficcional, esta narradora se confronta con nociones como extranjería, la condición del viajero y lenguaje, a partir de otro acontecimiento: la maternidad Abstract: The notion of hospitality confronts us with questions like the meaning of being a subject living between cultures. Literature in South America shows many examples of this confrontation. An interesting case is Argentinian-Brazilian writer Paloma Vidal. Born in Buenos Aires in 1975, she lives in Brazil since she is two years old because of her parents’ exile. She writes in Portuguese and her texts are traduced into Spanish, although she grew up as a bilingual. Language and exile are two dominant topics in her writings (novels, short stories, essays). Her novel Algún lugar was originally published in Brazil in 2009, and newly in Spanish in 2017. This self-fictional story shows a young woman dealing with a residency in the city of LA (USA), physically and emotionally far away from home. She must interrupt this project because of her motherhood, an experience that confronts her with another form of alienation.

Universidade de Coimbra.Centro de Estudos Clássicos e Humanísticos; Portugal Resumen: La traducción es el pilar de la cultura y el horizonte de formación ética de la humanidad. Ricoeur hace dialogar las prácticas de traducción con la dimensión de la hospitalidad lingüística, en un pequeño trabajo titulado Sobre la traducción, publicado en 2004. Traducir es difundir un mensaje de un idioma a otro. El traductor es, por tanto, una especie de intermediario entre el autor y el lector. En este camino, el traductor realiza un trabajo de memoria y de mediación: debe servir, simultáneamente, al extranjero (al trabajo original, al idioma de ese trabajo y a su autor) y al lector receptor. Dado que la traducción es un principio general de apertura a una pluralidad de discursos, Ricoeur brinda una base práctica a la hospitalidad lingüística y una visión ética de la traducción que garantiza la extrañeza del yo para acoger mejor al otro. Abstract: Translation is the core of culture and the horizon of the ethical education of humanity. Ricoeur makes translation practices dialogue with the dimension of linguistic hospitality, in a small work entitled On translation, published in 2003. To translate is to spread a message from one language to another. The translator is, therefore, a kind of intermediary between the author and the reader. In this way, the translator performs both a memory work and a mediation: he must simultaneously serve the foreigner (the original work, the language of that work and its author) and the receiving reader. Since translation is a general principle of openness to a plurality of speeches, Ricoeur provides a practical basis for linguistic hospitality and an ethical vision of translation that guarantees the strangeness of the self to better accommodate the other

Universidad del Norte Santo Tomás de Aquino; Argentina Resumen: La parábola del Buen Samaritano conmueve profundamente porque cuestiona nuestras vidas ante la pregunta: “¿Cuál de los tres te parece que se comportó como prójimo del hombre asaltado por los ladrones?” Pedro Laín Entralgo comienza su obra Teoría y Realidad del otro desde este texto evangélico intentando mostrar los grados del encuentro. La projimidad es la última categoría, la más elevada, signada por el amor que se derrama gratuitamente y la creencia en el menester del otro. Creemos, desde la lectura de Levinas, que la hospitalidad manifiesta una realidad que se desprende de la anterior pero que se hace cargo de la debilidad recíproca del hospedado y del que hospeda. La vulnerabilidad entonces muestra el límite y el desafío que cada encuentro hospitalario ofrece, ligado a la verdadera intimidad que sólo se manifiesta en el encuentro vinculante (François Julien). Abstract: The parable of the Good Samaritan moves deeply because it questions our lives before the question "Which of the three do you think behaved as a neighbor of the man assaulted by the thieves?" Pedro Laín Entralgo begins his work Teoría y Realidad del otro from this evangelical text trying to show the levels of the encounter. Projimity is the last category, the highest, marked by the love that spills for free and the belief in the need of the other. We believe, from the reading of Levinas, that hospitality manifests a reality that emerges from the previous one but takes care of the reciprocal weakness of the one who is hosted and the one who hosts. The vulnerability shows the limit and the challenge that each hospital encounter offers, linked to the true intimacy that only manifests itself in the binding encounter (François Julien).

Es un lugar común pensar la recepción estética como hospitalidad. La obra de arte es un extranjero, en tanto que trae una novedad extraña a nuestra cotidianidad, que toca nuestra puerta y nosotros deberíamos –¿deberíamos?– hospedarla. Nosotros, en el museo, ¿somos huéspedes o extranjeros? ¿Nos comportamos en la experiencia estética como huéspedes? Para George Steiner la obra es una “presencia” del otro y la experiencia estética debe entenderse como un encuentro de libertades. Si la recepción estética es un encuentro, esto supondrá una ética de la recepción. La obra es una donación libre que se postra ante la libertad del espectador, de la aceptación o el rechazo y por eso es indispensable ser hospitalarios con la misma. A diferencia de Steiner, sostengo que la experiencia estética no tiene que ver con acoger a otra perspectiva u a otra libertad, sino que tiene que ver con abrirse a la experiencia de sentirse extranjero, de sentirse otro, la experiencia de que otro, la obra, refigure el mundo que me es familiar y cómodo. t is a common place to think of aesthetic reception as hospitality. The work of art is a foreigner, as it brings a strange novelty to our daily lives, which knocks on our door and we should (should we?) host it. Are we guests or foreigners in the museum? Do we behave in the aesthetic experience as guests? For George Steiner, the work is a “presence” of the other and the aesthetic experience must be understood as a encounter of freedoms. If aesthetic reception is an encounter, this will entail an ethic of reception. The work is a free donation that prostrates before the freedom of the spectator, before the acceptance or rejection and that is why it is essential to be hospitable with it. Unlike Steiner, I argue that the aesthetic experience does not have to do with accepting another perspective or another freedom, but it has to do with being open to the experience of feeling foreign, of feeling other. Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina; Argentina Resumen: La singularidad y reciprocidad son rasgos esenciales de la relación de hospitalidad y se hallan a contracorriente del espíritu de la época con su tendencia a la abstracción y el predominio de lo cuantitativo. Ponemos en relación en este tema el pensamiento de Christoph Theobald con el de Pavel Florenski e intentamos reflejar sus ideas en el pasaje evangélico de la hemorroisa (Mc 5, 21-34; Mt 9, 18-26; Lc 8, 40-56). Una tradición del cristianismo vincula a la mujer hemorroisa con el personaje de Verónica. Verónica sería una de las responsables de la trasmisión de la Santa Faz, fuente de la iconografía bizantina y rusa. Esta tradición es testimonio y símbolo de la presencia de la sabiduría de la singularidad como elemento esencial también en la espiritualidad de la iconografía, haciendo de la hospitalidad una de las claves de comprensión de la vida de oración. Abstract: The singularity and reciprocity are essential features of the hospitality relationship and are against the current spirit with its tendency to abstraction and the predominance of the quantitative. We put Christoph Theobald's thought in relation to Pavel Florenski's thinking on this topic and we try to reflect his ideas in the evangelical passage of hemorrhage (Mc 5, 21-34; Mt 9, 18-26; Lc 8, 40-56). A tradition of Christianity links the hemorrhoidal woman with the character of Veronica. Veronica would be one of those responsible for the transmission of the Holy Face, the source of Byzantine and Russian iconography. This tradition is testimony and symbol of the presence of the wisdom of singularity as an essential element also in the spirituality of iconography, making hospitality one of the keys to understanding the life of prayer.

Facultad de Filosofía y Letras; Argentina Resumen: El objetivo de nuestro trabajo será realizar una lectura estéticofenomenológica del libro Estaciones de Van Gogh (1984) de la poeta argentina Amelia Biagioni (1916-2000), atendiendo fundamentalmente al estilo hospitalario que de allí se desprende, logrado a partir del juego de voces, textos y discursos, y a los diversos usos de la transtextualidad (Genette, 1989) y de la presentación de la figura del pintor holandés. En su poemario, en diálogo con las cartas que Vincent escribe a su hermano Theo, y con los cuadros del pintor holandés, la palabra y la obra de un tú (Van Gogh) son acogidas en la palabra poética de un otro (Biagioni), y aparecen, al mismo tiempo, como un espacio habitable para ser y decirse. Biagioni concibe su poesía como un encuentro de voces, lenguajes y artes, y la presenta como un lugar hospitalario donde es posible habitar y ser en la diferencia. Por otra parte, el Van Gogh que emerge de la poesía se nos presenta como figura que encarna en sí misma la hospitalidad al estilo de Jesús, de acuerdo con lo presentado por Christoph Theobald. Abstract: The aim of our work is to make an aesthetic-phenomenological reading of the book Estaciones de Van Gogh (1984) written by the Argentinian poet Amelia Biagioni (1916-2000). We will attend to the hospitality style that emerges there, from the game of voices, texts and speeches, the various uses of transtextuality (Genette, 1989) and the presentation of the figure of the Dutch painter, Vincent Van Gogh. In Biagioni’s poems, in dialogue with the letters that Vincent wrote to his brother Theo, and with his paintings, the word and the work of another (Van Gogh) are welcomed in the poetic word of Biagioni, and they appear, at the same time, as a living space to be and to say. Biagioni conceives her poetry as a meeting of voices, languages and arts, as a hospitable place where it is possible to live and to be in the difference. On the other hand, the Van Gogh that emerges from the poetry is presented as a figure that embodies in itself Jesus hospitable style, according to what Christoph Theobald develops.

Departamento de Letras Resumen: Dentro del prolífico epistolario de Hildegarda de Bingen (1098-1179), las cartas intercambiadas entre la abadesa y Elisabeth de Schönau (1126? - 1165?) ofrecen un rico testimonio biográfico de ambas figuras femeninas del medioevo que abarca diferentes facetas, como la expresión de su mundo íntimo, las distintas experiencias del fenómeno visionario y el contexto sociocultural en el que se hallaban inmersas. Mediante un breve recorrido diacrónico sobre diferentes concepciones de la hospitalidad, observamos en estas cartas de qué manera el acto de acogida se hace presente en el discurso epistolar y más allá de él. Abstract: Within the prolific epistolary of Hildegarda de Bingen (1098-1179), the letters exchanged between the Abbess and Elisabeth of Schönau (1126? - 1165?) offer a rich biographical testimony of both female figures of the Middle Ages covering different facets: such as the expression of their intimate world, the different experiences of the visionary phenomenon and their socio-cultural context. hrough a brief diachronic research about different conceptions of hospitality, the way in which the act of welcoming is present both in and beyond the epistolary discourse is observed in these letters.

Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso; Chile Resumen: El siguiente artículo busca poner de relieve el pensamiento y la praxis de la activista y escritora francesa Charlotte Delbo. El 24 de enero de 1943, junto a doscientas treinta mujeres, Charlotte es deportada a Auschwitz. Su testimonio deja entrever no solo el horror de la barbarie, conocido por tantos escritores y sobrevivientes, sino, y aquí radica su importancia y originalidad, en la humanidad que ella pudo ofrecer y descubrir. Probablemente por su exquisita sensibilidad y, aventuramos, por su ser mujer, Charlotte Delbo testimonia una esperanza humana contra todo, la belleza de las relaciones y la maravilla de los detalles cuando la vida peligra. Nos adentramos en su testimonio a partir de la trilogía Auschwitz et après para verificar cómo el odio, la violencia y el abuso (el mal) no son capaces de destruir la belleza que el ser humano porta. En el campo, Charlotte Delbo se transforma en una figura de hospitalidad y nos permite comprender la fuerza de la resistencia y de la compañía de un otro. El estudio se enmarca en lo que podríamos llamar una “ética de la esperanza”. En tiempos de catástrofes eco-sociales, son los testimonios del margen, los relatos de resistencia y las vidas sufridas, donde encontramos semillas para seguir esperando y trabajando en la construcción de la justicia y la paz. Sin duda la vida de Charlotte Delbo constituye una pieza clave, tan llena de lucidez como de belleza, en una época herida –la de ella; y la nuestra. Abstract: This article wants to show the thought and praxis of Charlotte Delbo, activist and French writer. The January 24th of 1943, together with two hundred and thirty women, Charlotte is deported to Auschwitz. Her testimony let us see the horror of the barbaric that so many survivors and writers have shown. But what is interesting for us is its originality to express her humanity in that space. Probably because of her exquisite sensibility and, as we argue, because she is a woman. Charlotte Delbo can share hope against everything, share the beauty of human relations and the wonder of details when life is in danger. We enter in her experience from the trilogy Auschwitz et après to verify that hate, violence and abuse (the evil) cannot destroy the beauty that humans have inside. In the field, Charlotte Delbo became a figure of hospitality that allows us to understand the force of resistance and the power of the other. This study may be part of what we can call an “ethic of hope”. In times of eco-social catastrophes are the experiences of marginalized ones, the stories of resistance and suffering lives where we can find seeds to keep waiting and keep working for justice and peace. Without question the life, the clarity and the beauty of Charlotte Delbo is fundamental, to face an injured epoch -hers and ours.

Facultad de Filosofía y Letras; Argentina Resumen: Edmond Jabès, poeta nacido en Egipto (1912), de confesión judía y educación francesa, lengua y país que adopta luego de su exilio, se convierte en el arquetipo del extranjero para la literatura francesa del siglo XX. Francia le otorga, entre otros, el Gran Premio Nacional de Literatura en 1987. Sus poemarios profundizan fundamentalmente las cuestiones del lenguaje, de la identidad judía y de la especulación teológica y filosófica. Cifra de la poética jabesiana, el libro, como construcción, se configura en su morada, su país, su universo. En El libro de la hospitalidad (1991), ante la inminencia del adiós a la vida, aborda la hospitalidad como umbral provisional, cruce de caminos, desde el vaciamiento y la espera hasta la llamada del otro, en su soberana diferencia y en su radical semejanza. Abstract: Edmond Jabès, a poet born in Egypt (1912), of Jewish faith and French education, a language and country that he adopts after his exile, becomes the foreigner's archetype for 20th century French literature. France awards him, among others, the National Grand Literature Prize in 1987. His poetry collections basically deepen the issues of language, Jewish identity and theological and philosophical speculation. Core of Jabès’s poetry, the book, as a construction, takes the figure of his place, his country, his universe. In The book of hospitality (1991), with the imminence of goodbye to life, he addresses hospitality as a provisional threshold, crossroad, from emptying and wait up to the other’s call, in his magnificent difference and in his radical likeness.
