Chemical proteomics, emerging rapidly in recent years, has become a main approach to identifying interactions between the small molecules and proteins in the cells on a proteome scale and mapping the signaling and/or metabolic pathways activated and regulated by these interactions. The methods of chemical proteomics allow not only identifying proteins targeted by drugs, characterizing their toxicity and discovering possible off-target proteins, but also elucidation of the fundamental mechanisms of cell functioning under conditions of drug exposure or due to the changes in physiological state of the organism itself. Solving these problems is essential for both basic research in biology and clinical practice, including approaches to early diagnosis of various forms of serious diseases or prediction of the effectiveness of therapeutic treatment. At the same time, recent developments in high-resolution mass spectrometry have provided the technology for searching the drug targets across the whole cell proteomes. This review provides a concise description of the main objectives and problems of mass spectrometry-based chemical proteomics, the methods and approaches to their solution, and examples of implementation of these methods in biomedical research.

The PAM-Stamp 2G software package is used to simulate the tool bending of a workpiece made of an AMg5 aluminum alloy with and without taking into account the heat-affected zone (HAZ) formed during laser cutting of a sheet. The option of calculating welded workpieces is adapted to describe the HAZ. The state of stress in the workpiece during bending at various bending radii is analyzed with allowance for various HAZ widths. The influence of HAZ up to 4.5 mm wide on the workpiece thickness during bending is found to be insignificant.

We present the results of the analysis of the observational data for the eruptive event of June 7, 2011 obtained both on spacecraft (SDO, LASCO) and using ground-based solar instruments. The event was characterized by deceleration of the shock front during the first minutes of the evolution from 1150 to 710 km/s. According to the LASCO data, the velocity of the coronal mass ejection (CME) on time scales of more than an hour did not exceed 285 km/s. According to the spectral observations of the ground-based instrument, we found the radial velocities of the fastest features of the exploding prominence to be between 200 and 190 km/s. We paid special attention to studying the physical characteristics of a blob—a separate drop of coronal rain that accompanied the event. The line-of-sight velocity of the blob increased in 5 min from 207 to 263 km/s, its diameter was 5900 km, and the estimated mass was 1.8 × 1012 g; the values of temperature and turbulent velocity of 7880 K and Vturb = 18.7 km/s were obtained,correspondingly. We should note that the finding and measurement of velocities were limited by the capabilities of narrow-band filters and a small wavelength range in most solar instruments. Iron-doped potassium titanate with a hollandite structure is synthesized by the solid-phase method. To reduce the contact resistance and to increase the diffusion coefficient of potassium ions, a conductive carbon coating is applied to the surface of the titanate synthesized in an argon atmosphere. The formation of the composite material is confirmed by the results of X-ray phase analysis, scanning electron microscopy, and IR spectroscopy. The half-cells with potassium metal in a CR2025 case, which are assembled on the basis of the synthesized composite, are tested electrochemically with subsequent calculation of the specific capacitance, power density, and energy density. It is found that the specific capacitance of an electrode with a carbon coating is 10–15% higher with low sweep rates (1 and 3 mV s–1). It is shown that the use of carbon coatings increases the diffusion coefficient of potassium to 1.77 × 10–14 cm2 s–1/2.

An analysis of the contractual loads of heat-consumption objects connected to one of the boiler houses of the Fuel and Energy Complex of St. Petersburg is presented. The analysis was carried out on the basis of the results of processing the readings of heat-metering devices installed at the subscriber inputs of apartment buildings located on the territory of St. Petersburg. The analysis was carried out of the consumption of heat energy for heating during the heating period of 2018/2019, and a comparison was made of the calculated and contractual loads of heat-consumption objects located in the area of operation of the considered source of heat energy. Change in the specific indicators of thermal energy in apartment buildings for heating depending on the series/types of buildings, their number of stories (taking into account the number of entrances), construction periods, and their heated area is shown. Examples of determining the calculated heat load for heating- and hot-water supply of heat-consumption objects according to the data array of general house heat meters, including within the schedule for regulating the supply of heat at the source. The coefficients showing the ratio of the calculated heat load of heat consumption subscribers to the contractual load were obtained. The reserve of thermal power for existing consumers of thermal energy and the source to which these consumers are connected has been identified. The average value of the coefficient, which is the ratio of the calculated heat load for heating to the contractual one, is 0.66, the averaged value of the coefficient, which is the ratio of the calculated heat load for hot-water supply to the contractual one, is 0.82.

Neutrino astronomy offers a novel view of the non-thermal Universe and is complementary to other astronomical disciplines. The field has seen rapid progress in recent years, including the first detection of astrophysical neutrinos in the TeV-PeV energy range by IceCube and the first identified extragalactic neutrino source (TXS 0506+056). Further discoveries are aimed for with new cubic-kilometer telescopes in the Northern Hemisphere: Baikal-GVD, in Lake Baikal, and KM3NeT-ARCA, in the Mediterranean sea. The construction of Baikal-GVD proceeds as planned; the detector currently includes over 2000 optical modules arranged on 56 strings, providing an effective volume of 0.35 km$^3$. We have studied the spontaneous comminution of cast materials consisting of a Mn-doped Cr2AlC MAX phase and chromium, manganese, and aluminum carbides and aluminides. The materials were prepared in the form of ingots by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) in a 3-L reactor at an argon pressure p = 5 MPa. The starting mixtures consisted of manganese(IV) oxide, chromium(III) oxide, aluminum (ASD-1), and carbon. The presence of aluminum carbide (Al4C3) in a cast material has been shown to lead to spontaneous comminution of the cast material (without mechanical or chemical influences) into powders with a crystalline particle size under 100 μm. The particle size reduction has been shown to result from reaction between aluminum carbide and atmospheric moisture. The synthesized materials have been characterized by X-ray diffraction and X-ray microanalysis, and we have studied structural and phase states of particles of the desired products obtained as a result of self-comminution of a cast SHS material.

An approximate analytical description of the nonstationary evolution of cylindrical nonlinear solitary waves with a complex structure is given. A modified Gardner equation with a boundary condition in the form of a “wide” soliton close to the limiting one is analyzed. The analysis shows a qualitative difference in the behavior of converging and diverging waves, as well as a difference from the quasi-stationary dynamics of cylindrical solitons.
