- Abstract
The article reports that the annual Major League Gaming (MLG) has contributed to the growing popularity of video games in the U.S. media industry. Information is presented on the final match at the 2006 MLG playoffs. The differences between the online titles Halo 2 and Super Smash Bros. Melee are discussed. Comments are made by Mike Sepso of MLG regarding the Smash community. There are three categories for competitive games: a first person shooter, real-time strategy games, and fighting games.
