The article describes the role of art in the movement for disability justice in the U.S. Focus is given on first-person disability narratives and autobiographical works such as the painting "Why My Hearing Parents Sign" by Christine Sun Kim and Park MacArthur's 2014 exhibit "Ramps," which both focus on everyday acts of accommodation and care. It highlights works that model access for disabled people and acts of innovation like the performance of disabled dance troupe Kinetic Light Ensemble.
