The article discusses a thoracic surgical trainees' survey conducted by the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS) in May 2014 to identify topics which are improperly covered by the society's training programmes. He mentions the result of the surgery which include percentage of trainees who work long hours due to training and trainees who are satisfied with the quality of training. Also mentioned are percentage of trainees who have presented posters at national or international level.
