The article focuses on the benefits of vitamin C and offers recommendations for its daily intake in the diet. According to physician Robert A. Schulman, an intake of about 200 to 500 milligrams of vitamin C is required per day. The benefits of vitamin C in protecting against free-radical damage and enhancing immune functioning are discussed. Brief information on two vitamin C supplements including Ester-C from American Health and Vitamin C-400 from Innate Response Formulas is also presented.
