The article offers tips for developing mindfulness in musicians. Suggestions include establishing musical hierarchy in rehearsal to help foster mindful musicians; teaching music students to listen as it will help them in becoming mindful about the music and musicians around them; and considering use of gesture on the podium while conducting.

It notes that having a recorder allows students to capture their part in sectionals or rehearsals which allows the director to set targets dates for part-learning and memorization. It also mentions that having every singer record the group performing the song will let them hear their own improvement and make them remember what they did in rehearsal.
