The names of objects of spiritual functioning of human activities in the narrative of Ilf and Petrov in linguocultural aspect are examined. Narrative of Ilf and Petrov is a unique material for the analysis of the realities used in describing of the Russian socio-cultural space of the early XX century. Ideonyms as a collection of different categories of proper name that have denotations in the intellectual, ideological and artistic activities, represent a complex linguistic phenomenon. They are autonomous, but not isolated onomastic language subsystem, which is subordinate to the general linguistic laws, but has specific features due to deeper than other onyms influence of extra-linguistic factors. This onomastic unit differs by unique linguocultural content. Nominating names associated with the spiritual activities and being used for evaluation and characterization of different phenomena of reality, ideonyms fulfill the function of logoepisthemes, being the traces of culture in language or languages in culture.
