Rome, Italy, offers much to tourists at any time of year, and its cuisine is plain and tasty and has not been influenced by any food dictators. There is hardly any snobbery in buying and savouring food in Rome. Supermarkets are not often found. The offerings at the Piazza Vittorio market reflect the residence in Rome of East Europeans and Asians. A picnic of food purchased at the market can be eaten in the Villa Borghese Park or other selected spot. Roman delicacies include pigs trotters, grilled small intestine of veal, and pig's cheek.
