A recent study conducted at Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat, Oman compared different surgical techniques for correcting lower eyelid involutional entropion, a condition where the eyelid turns inward. The study found that a procedure called triangular tarsectomy and limited orbicularis myectomy with eyelid retractor plication had a higher success rate and no recurrence compared to other techniques. However, this procedure was associated with more postoperative complications.
