Abstract

A recent study conducted by the University Center for Dental Medicine Basel UZB in Switzerland aimed to assess the amount of erosion during activated endodontic irrigation using two different chelating agents, HEDP and EDTA. The study found that HEDP had a significantly less erosive effect compared to EDTA. The researchers used high-resolution micro-computed tomography to measure erosion depth and found significant differences between the two chelating agents.
