Öteki kavramı insanlık tarihi kadar eski bir kavramdır. Öteki, sosyal bilimler içerisinde çokça tartışılan bir konudur. Bireyin kendini tanımlayıp tamamlayabilmesi ve bireysel, toplumsal kimlik oluşturabilmesi için kendinden olmayana ihtiyacı vardır. Bu ihtiyacı öteki kavramı karşılamaktadır. Öteki kavramına iki türlü yaklaşım öne çıkmaktadır. Bu yaklaşımlardan ilki ötekini dışlayıp, asimile ederek kendi içinde yok etmedir ve kendinden olmayanı kendine benzetme temeline dayanır. İkinci yaklaşım ise bireyin ve toplumların kendini var edebilmesi için ötekine ihtiyacı olduğu temeline dayanır. Bu yaklaşım ile öteki benimsenip kabul edilmekte ve zenginlik olarak görülmektedir. Her iki yaklaşım da hem bireysel hem toplumsal hayatta tehlike arz edecek özelliktedir. Diğerini yok etme temelli yaklaşım ötekini bitirmekte böylece toplum tek tipleşmektedir. Ötekine saygı duyan yaklaşım ise bireyi ve toplumu evrenselleştirmekte ve yerel özelliklerinden uzaklaştırmaktadır. Masallarda bu iki yaklaşımı da görmek mümkündür. Geçmişten günümüze kadar birçok masal araştırması ve tanımı yapılmıştır. Bu araştırmalar metin ve bağlam merkezli kuramlar çerçevesindedir. Masal, masal anlatıcısı, dinleyicisi, masalın icra edildiği ortam olmak üzere üç ana temele bağlı olarak oluşmaktadır. Bu üç unsur masalın nesilden nesile aktarımını sağlamaktadır. Bu aktarım sırasında hem kültürel ögelerin hem de bireysel, toplumsal kimliğin oluşumunu ve aktarımı söz konusudur. Kimlik oluşum sürecinde öteki ve öteki kavramına bireyin ve toplumun bakış açısını tespit etmek mümkündür. Öteki kavramı bireylerin ve toplumların savunma mekanizmasının oluşmasını sağlamaktadır. Gelecek nesillerin öteki kavramı üzerinden korunması söz konusudur. Kendinden olmayanı tanıyan bireyler, ötekinden gelecek tehlikelere karşı nasıl önem almaları gerektiği hakkında da dolaylı yoldan bilgi sahibi olmaktadırlar. Halk bilimi çalışmalarının temelinde de bulunan kendinden olmayanı fark etme, tanıma ve kolektif kimlik oluşturma süreci masallarda açık bir şekilde görülmektedir. The concept of the other is as old as human history. It is a widely debated topic in the social sciences. An individual needs someone other than oneself to define and complete herself and to create an individual and social identity. This need is met by the concept of the other. There are two approaches to the concept of the other. The first of these approaches is to exclude and assimilate the other and destroy within itself. It is based on the principle of imitating ones other than oneself. The second approach is based on that individuals and societies need others to exist. With this approach, the other is adopted, accepted, and seen as wealth. Both approaches can be dangerous in both individual and social life. The approach based on destroying the other ends the other, so the society becomes uniform. The approach that respects the other, on the other hand, universalizes the individual and society and removes them from their local characteristics. It is possible to see both approaches in tales. Many tale studies and definitions have been made from the past to the present. These studies have been conducted within the framework of text and context-centered theories. A tale consists of three main components: the storyteller, the listener, and the environment in which the tale is narrated. These three elements ensure the transmission of the tale through generations. During this transfer, tales contribute to the transfer of both cultural elements and the formation of individual and social identity. It is possible to determine the perspective of the individual and society on the concept of the other and the other in the identity formation process. The concept of the other provides the formation of the defense mechanism of individuals and societies. It is in question to protect future generations through the concept of the other. Future generations are protected through the concept of the other. Individuals who recognize the ones other than themselves indirectly have information about how they should take care of the possible dangers from the other. The process of recognizing the ones other than oneself, identifying them, and creating a collective identity -the basis of folklore studies- is clearly seen in tales. In this study, the concepts of identity and the other in tales will be investigated by associating them with cultural memory.

Akarsu, aldığı yüke bağlı olarak enerjisiyle temas ettiği yüzeylerde farklı jeomorfolojik şekiller oluşmasını sağlar. Morfometrik analizler kullanılarak akarsu havzalarının morfolojik özellikleri nicel olarak ortaya konularak, farklı sahalardaki havzaların sayısal değerleri üzerinden karşılaştırma yapılmaktadır. Böylece akarsuların erozif faaliyetleri, havzaların yarılma dereceleri, havza şekilleri, akarsuların taşkın üretme kapasiteleri gibi birçok özellik incelenip sağlıklı karşılaştırmalar yapılabilmektedir. Çalışmaya konu olan Karasu Çayı Havzası'nın hidrografya özelliklerinin morfometrik yöntemler ile analiz edilmesi ve elde edilen bulguların havza ile ilgili yapılacak olan planlama çalışmalarında kullanımı amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda detaylı bir literatür taraması yapılmış, konuyla ilgili analiz yöntemleri araştırılmış, bu yöntemler sahaya uygulanmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın hazırlanması esnasında altlık olarak 1/25.000 ölçekli topografya haritaları kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca hidrografik özellikleri etkileyen faktörlere ait haritalama ve hesap işlemleri yapılmıştır. Birçok kere inceleme alanına arazi çalışmaları düzenlenmiş, fotoğraflar çekilmiş, notlar tutulmuştur. Her türlü morfometrik analiz, topografya haritaları baz alınarak Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemleri yazılımları kullanılarak yapılmıştır. İnceleme alanında Prekambriyen, Paleozoyik, Permiyen, Üst Kretase, Eosen, Üst Miyosen ve Kuvaterner'de oluşmuş kayaç formasyonları bulunmaktadır. Karasu Çayı Havzası'nın % 73'ü çamurtaşı, kiltaşı, kumtaşından oluşmaktadır. Sonuç olarak inceleme alanının şekillenmesinin genel anlamda Prekambriyen dönemine kadar uzandığı, bu süreçte hidrografik oluşum ve gelişimin zaman zaman farklı olaylar ve süreçler tarafından kesintiye uğradığı, bu nedenle havza içinde farklı vadi şekillerinin geliştiği belirlenmiştir. Bu kapsamda havzanın başta hidrografik sorunları olmak üzere sahada yer alan çevre problemlerine coğrafi bir bakışla çözümler sunulmuştur. Depending on the load it receives, the stream creates different geomorphological landforms on the surfaces it comes into contact with with its energy.By using morphometric analysis, the morphological features of the river basins can be quantitatively revealed, and comparisons can be made over the numerical values of the basins in different areas.Thus, many features such as the erosive activities of the rivers, the degree of rupture of the basins, the shape of the basin, the flood generation capacity of the rivers can be examined and healthy comparisons can be made. It is aimed to analyze the hydrographic features of the Karasu Stream Basin, which is the subject of the study, by morphometric methods and to use the findings in the planning studies to be made about the basin. In this context, a detailed literature review has been made, analysis methods related to the subject have been researched, and these methods have been tried to be applied to the field. During the preparation of the study, 1/25.000 scaled topography maps were used as a base. In addition, mapping and calculation processes of the factors affecting the hydrographic properties were made. Many times, fieldworks were arranged in the study area, photographs were taken and notes were taken. All kinds of morphometric analyzes were made using Geographical Information Systems software based on topography maps. There are rock formations formed in Precambrian, Paleozoic, Permian, Upper Cretaceous, Eocene, Upper Miocene and Quaternary in the study area. 73% of the Karasu Stream Basin consists of mudstone, claystone and sandstone. As a result, it has been determined that the shaping of the study area extends to the Precambrian period in general, the hydrographic formation and development were interrupted from time to time by different events and processes, therefore, different valley landforms developed in the basin.Solutions to the environmental problems in the field, especially the hydrographic problems of the basin, are presented with a geographical view.

Dede Korkut Kitabı Türk toplumunun kültürel belleğine izlerini bırakmış çok önemli bir kaynaktır. Bünyesinde barındırdığı Oğuzların tarihi, kültürel ve dilbilimsel pek çok unsur bu eserin önemini daha da arttırmaktadır. Oğuzların toplumsal yaşamında bulundukları coğrafyada olumlu veya olumsuz karşılaştıkları tüm olaylar kültürel kimliklerine kazandırdıkları olgular dil aracılığı ile günümüze kadar ulaşmıştır. Bu anlamda dil hem bu kültürel olguların taşıyıcısı hem de en somut belgesidir. Günümüzde gerek Türk halkbilimi gerekse dilbilimi alanında sayısız çalışmaya kaynaklık Dede Korkut Kitabı'nın sınırları sonsuzdur. Kültürel derinliğin tespit ve değerlendirmesinde ilk başvurulacak kaynak Dede Korkut Kitabı olacaktır. Dede Korkut Kitabı'nda hayvanlar Oğuzların inanç ve düşünce sistemleri, sosyo-psikolojik ve kültürel yapısını anlamlandırmaya yardımcı olur. Dolayısıyla hem maddi bir gereklilik hem de manevi değerler sisteminin anlamsal bütünlüğünü ifade etmenin, açıklamanın, yorumlamanın aracı olmuştur. Bu kapsamda Dede Korkut Kitabı'nda ismi geçen hayvanların etimolojisinden yola çıkarak kültürel izleri takip ve tespit etmek amaçlanmaktadır. Dede Korkut's book is a very important resource that has left its traces in the cultural memory of Turkish society. Many historical, cultural and linguistic elements of the Oghuz that it contains further increase the importance of this work. All the events that Oghuz people encounter positively or negatively in their social life in the geography in which they are located, the facts that they have acquired their cultural identity have survived to the present day through language. In this sense, language is both the bearer of these cultural facts and the most concrete document. Currently, the boundaries of The Book of Dede Korkut, which is the source of numerous studies in both Turkish folklore and linguistics, are endless. Dede Korkut book will be the first source to be applied in the determination and evaluation of cultural depth. In the book of Dede Korkut, animals help to make sense of the belief and thought systems, socio-psychological and cultural structure of the Oghuz. Thus expressing both a material requirement and the semantic integrity of a system of spiritual values.
