Building stretchable memory is an effective strategy for developing next-generation memory technologies toward stretchable and wearable electronics. Here we demonstrate a universal strategy for the fabrication of high performance stretchable polymer memory via tailoring surface morphology, in which common conjugated polymers and sharp reduced graphene oxide (r-rGO) films are used as active memristive layers and conductive electrodes, respectively. The fabricated devices feature write-once-read-many-times (WORM) memory, with a low switching voltage of 1.1 V, high ON/OFF current ratio of 104, and an ideal long retention time over 12000 s. Sharp surface-induced resistive switching behavior has been proposed to explore the electrical transition. Moreover, the polymer memory show reliable electrical bistable properties with a stretchability up to 30%, demonstrating their great potential candidates as high performance stretchable memory in soft electronics.

Building transient electronics are promising and emerging strategy to alleviate the pollution issues from electronic waste (e-waste). Although a variety of transient devices comprising organic and inorganic materials have been described, transient light emitting devices are still elusive but highly desirable because of the huge amount of lighting and display related consumer electronics. Here we report a simple and efficient fabrication of large-area flexible transient alternating current electroluminescent (ACEL) device through a full-solution processing method. Using transparent flexible AgNW-polymer as both electrodes, the devices exhibit high flexibility and both ends side light emission, with the features of controlled size and patterned structure. By modulating the mass ratio of blue and yellow phosphors, the emission color is changed from white to blue. Impressively, the fabricated ACEL device can be thoroughly dissolved in water within 30 min. Our strategy combining such advances in transient light emitting devices with simple structure, widely used materials, full solution process, and high solubility will demonstrate great potential in resolving the e-waste from abandoned light-emitting products and expand the opportunities for air-stable flexible light emitting devices.

We report a simple and efficient approach for fabrication of novel graphene-polysulfide (GPS) anode materials, which consists of conducting graphene network and homogeneously distributed polysulfide in between and chemically bonded with graphene sheets. Such unique architecture not only possesses fast electron transport channels, shortens the Li-ion diffusion length but also provides very efficient Li-ion reservoirs. As a consequence, the GPS materials exhibit an ultrahigh reversible capacity, excellent rate capability and superior long-term cycling performance in terms of 1600, 550, 380 mAh g−1 after 500, 1300, 1900 cycles with a rate of 1, 5 and 10 A g−1 respectively. This novel and simple strategy is believed to work broadly for other carbon-based materials. Additionally, the competitive cost and low environment impact may promise such materials and technique a promising future for the development of high-performance energy storage devices for diverse applications.
