The article reports on the decision to be made by judges in New York on an appeal by Northwest Airlines to keep its employees from striking. The strike by employees could negatively affect the carrier. The business failure of the carrier could take away the only direct flight from Washington, D.C. to Des Moines, Iowa. There is a need to pass a special bailout for Northwest Airlines.
