WESTERN Wall (Jerusalem) ,MASADA Site (Israel) - Abstract
The article discusses the architectural wonders that were built by King Herod the Great, King of Judaea. Herod is primarily known from the Biblical account in the book of Matthew as a murderous and corrupt king. However, he also left an architectural legacy in Jerusalem. He was appointed by the Roman Empire as King of Judaea, where he built the Northern Palace at Masada, the Second Temple of Jerusalem, and the Western Wall, as well as a deepwater harbor off the coast of Caesarea.
