Abstract

The article discusses the experiences of Tamil professional immigrant mothers in the U.S. and working-class wives in Peru. It highlights the difference of mothering ideologies by both Tamil and Peruvian women. It explores the challenges encounter by these immigrant women in transnational environment including cultural preservation, family relations, and work-life balance.
