The authors of the article present a comprehensive analysis of the accounting of students’ academic performance in the management of the educational process of the university. The information about students that affects their academic performance and satisfaction with the educational organization is analyzed and classified. The focus of the study is on the application of predictive models in the management of the educational process in order to adapt the content of disciplines to the current contingent of students. The study used data only on first-year students (2023/24 academic year) of bachelor’s and specialist’s degree levels (n=1549). The information is depersonalized and contains the following data: demographic (age, gender, citizenship), social (socio-cultural environment, place of residence, place of residence during study), academic (previous education, results of entrance tests, current academic performance, faculty, qualification level), economic (scholarship, type of competition – budget/contract). Methods of mathematical statistics were used to analyze the data: determining the type of data distribution using the Shapiro-Wilk test, establishing the presence of multicollinearity in the construction of multiple regression by the Pearson criterion, establishing correlation dependencies by Spearman’s rank correlation method. Machine learning methods are implemented in the Python programming language (v. 3.8) using the freely distributed Keras library. The main results. The classification of factors affecting the academic performance and satisfaction of students is presented. Using the methods of mathematical statistics, the importance of each factor for predicting academic performance has been established. An educational process management model based on Agile Learning Design has been developed and presented, which allows adapting a specific discipline to the current contingent of students.

Interdisciplinary approach to the development and creation of open question items for assessment procedures in accordance with the digital transformation strategy and the new requirements for state accreditation of educational programs of higher education has been presented in the article. It has been revealed the content of the author’s terms including linguo-pedagogical mastery, linguo-pedagogical design, linguistic correctness and methodological literacy of test tasks. On the basis of scientometric analysis carried out due to the scientific electronic library elibrary it has been determined the chronological activity and subject correlation of publications of native researchers on testing students. Based on the results of a survey of teachers from 11 regional universities the main difficulties in the preparation of testing and assessment materials are summarized. Examples of test items in disciplines taught at a multidisciplinary polytechnic university are analyzed. Typical errors in the wording of questions, reference answers and evaluation criteria have been identified by the methods of erratological analysis and the reasons for their appearance have been summarized. To model the linguo-pedagogical design of test tasks the concept of an epistemic situation is used, its four components are described: ontological (subject-content definition of objects and elements of control), methodological (selection of types and types of tasks depending on the level of measured outcomes of learning), communicative-pragmatic (ensuring the comprehensibility of the text of the test task) and technological (technical implementation of the automated check of free response). Methods of test tasks modification with the help of modern digital services are proposed. As a result of the study, the authors formulate recommendations for the implementation of the linguo-pedagogical design of open question items with a focus on their implementation in the digital environment.

Improving the quality of educational services is impossible without a detailed analysis of student satisfaction. Identifying weaknesses in the educational process and socio-cultural environment, as well as evaluating the dynamics of satisfaction in recent years will help to formulate a roadmap for managing the quality of education. The research was conducted at Perm Polytechnic University which is typical, therefore the findings of the research can be considered as representative.The article analyzes the results of a survey of 1126 full-time students, which was about 12% of the contingent (full-time). The sample is presented for all structural divisions: faculties and branches, as well as the content of questionnaires on blocks of questions. The results of the level of satisfaction with the quality of educational activities are analyzed, in particular: the content of educational programs, the implementation of educational programs, the conditions for ensuring the educational process, the quality of teaching, knowledge control and training. Positive assessment (satisfaction is more than 50%) deserve: the organization and conditions of the educational process, the content of academic disciplines in all cycles, the quality of teaching, the volume and quality of the library fund. However, some comments revealed dissatisfaction with the technical means, the quality of the content audiences, the organization of pedagogic assistance and students’ self-directed learning, schedule of classes, quality of teaching materials, organization of traineeships, quality control test, availability of laboratories and computer classes outside the classroom.The assessment of the socio-cultural environment considered aspects of the organization of students’ extracurricular work, the socio-psychological climate; the conditions of life support of the educational process (sanitary and social); socio-cultural activities related to the satisfaction of spiritual and physical needs of an individual; socio-cultural fostering. The main comments are related to the quality of social and living conditions (catering, living conditions in a hostel).The results of the survey showed the need for further research in order to form a generalized (complex) model for assessing the quality of the University activities.

The development of electronic study guides (ESG) for Bachelor’s disciplines enables to reduce procurement costs for print library collections. Posting of ESGs on the University Internet resources will provide their accessibility and usability, so the subject is topical. The article analyzes the experience of developing electronic study guides for the disciplines of basic professional bachelor’s degree programs in various universities and reviews the literature on this subject. The main features that distinguish ESG from paper teaching materials are the following: multimedia presentation of information, interactivity, dynamic content. In addition, remote interaction between a teacher and students in forums or video conferences is possible, depending on the format of the ESG. Furthermore, ESG allows one to remotely monitor the completeness and timeliness of the study of certain topics of the discipline, unlike other types of educational and methodological support. The implementation of the ESG makes it possible to maintain control in two forms: internal and external. There are also such criteria for assessing the quality of ESG as: proportion in ensuring the total volume of discipline, proportion in ensuring the self-directed student work, quality of design, the effectiveness of multimedia, adaptability, level of remote access. The result of the analysis was the development of requirements for the ESG design for the discipline «Structure and calculation of engines». This discipline includes the basics of structure and calculation elements and systems of internal combustion engines and the processes occurring in them. In Perm National Research Polytechnic University, according to the curriculum, the discipline is studied for 2 semesters; the labor intensity is 7 credits. Classroom lessons consist of lectures, laboratory and practical classes, additionally, coursework was provided. The difficulty of organizing and maintaining a laboratory in working condition is due to high labor and material costs for fuels and lubricants, electricity, forced-air ventilation, maintenance and repair of internal combustion engines, etc. In this regard, it is relevant to use simulation methods and create virtual laboratory benches to determine the characteristics of the internal combustion engine. These benches may be considered as an alternative to field experiments and stands. As a result of the generalization experience, it was possible to draw up general requirements to the structure and content of the ESG and to provide recommendations on the development of ESGs taking into account the specifics of applied bachelor’s programs.
