Experimentally observed surface segregation of nickel during Ni:C thin films growth is analyzed by kinetic model. Kinetic model includes processes of adsorption, diffusion, surface segregation. Diffusion and surface segregation are allowed in a layer near the surface by using hyperbolic tangent and Gaussian functions. It is shown by modeling that there is no significant difference between results that were obtained by using hyperbolic tangent and Gaussian functions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
