27. Uncertainty Quantification And Sensitivity Analysis Of Parameterization-free Surrogate Model

Abstract

Surrogate model based optimization method is widely-used to accelerate the design and optimization process~\cite{marler2004survey}. The input of regression model used in the surrogate model are numbers, which requires users to parametrize the geometries. In this paper, a new parameterization-free surrogate model is introduced and its corresponding uncertainty quantification and sensitivity analysis method are discussed. The input of new surrogate model methods is surface mesh of simulation domain. \Gls{gnns} is used to extract geometric information, and \Gls{cnns} is used to predict contours. This framework bypasses parameterization,as a consequence, uncertainties introduced by manual parameterization is reduced. However, such changes compared with conventional surrogate model methods impose great challenge on uncertainties quantification and sensitivity analysis. Uncertainties quantification in this paper means the error bar of prediction results, which is calculated by Gaussian Process Regression method in current surrogate method. In this paper, a new quantification method achieved by Kullback-Leibler divergence (KLD) is introduced. And the sensitivity analysis is conducted by Automatic Differentiation, which gives a Jacobian matrix of inputs. The method and analysis mentioned above are demonstrated by a low-pressure steam turbine rotator and its exhaust system.

48. Clinical Characteristics and Current Treatment Modality of Preterm Infants with Ureaplasma spp. Infection.

Abstract

Background: The impact of and countermeasures for Ureaplasma spp. in neonates remain controversial. The aim of this study was to evaluate the associated perinatal factors that can predict the likelihood of respiratory tract Ureaplasma spp. colonization and analyze the subsequent clinical course of affected infants, thereby providing the rationale for their diagnosis, treatment, and future study., Methods: This was a retrospective observational study of infants born at a gestational age (GA) of less than 32 weeks., Results: The prevalence of respiratory tract Ureaplasma spp. colonization was 25.8% (75/291), and it increased with a decrease in GA and birth weight (BW). Maternal vaginal Ureaplasma spp. colonization increased the risk of neonatal Ureaplasma spp. colonization, with an OR of 7.8 (95% CI: 3.1, 20.0). Infants with Ureaplasma spp. colonization had a higher white blood cell (WBC) count, normal C-reactive protein (CRP) level, and higher failure rate of weaning from mechanical ventilation (30.7% vs. 17.1%, p = 0.014); they also suffered more from interstitial pneumonia (20.0% vs. 5.6%, p < 0.001) and bronchopulmonary dysplasia (36.0% vs. 13.4%, p < 0.001). Infants receiving anti- Ureaplasma spp. treatment had a lower GA, lower BW, and more severe respiratory syndromes. However, the difference in respiratory manifestation became insignificant after adjusting for GA., Conclusions: GA and maternal vaginal Ureaplasma spp. colonization could be used to predict neonatal respiratory tract Ureaplasma spp. colonization. An elevated WBC count combined with normal CRP is a good marker of Ureaplasma spp. colonization/infection. It is conventional practice to start anti- Ureaplasma spp. treatment when infants present with a deteriorated respiratory condition. This practice warrants further investigation considering GA as a predominant intermediate variable.

49. One-Step Hydrothermal Synthesis of P25 @ Few Layered MoS 2 Nanosheets toward Enhanced Bi-catalytic Activities: Photocatalysis and Electrocatalysis.

Abstract

P25 loaded few layered molybdenum disulfide (MoS 2 ) nanosheets (P25@MoS 2 ) are successfully synthesized through a facile one-step hydrothermal process. The bi-catalytic activities, i.e., photocatalytic and electrocatalytic activities, of the as-prepared nanomaterials have been investigated. For the as-prepared products, the photocatalytic performances were investigated by degrading simulated pollutant under sunlight irradiation, and the hydrogen evolution reaction evaluated the electrocatalytic performances. The results indicate that P25@MoS 2 possesses excellent activities in both photocatalysis and electrocatalysis. The presence of MoS 2 broadens the light absorption range of P25 and improves the separation and transformation efficiency of photogenerated carriers, thus improving its photocatalytic performance. The existence of P25 inhibits the aggregation of MoS 2 to form more dispersed MoS 2 nanosheets with only few layers increasing its active sites. Thereby, the electrocatalytic performance is heightened. The excellent multifunction makes the as-prepared P25@MoS 2 a promising material in the fields of environment and energy.
