CoCr2O4 and doped lithium Co1-xLixCr2O4 chromate powder and nanoparticles were prepared by modified by sol-gel method. The morphological and structural properties of nano chromates were investigated by x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Raman spectroscopy and Photoluminescence (PL). Nanoparticles of doped lithium were synthesized by adding appropriate amount of cobalt nitrate, chromium nitrate, lithium nitrate and 1,2 Ethanediol as a complexing agent. The sample were heated at 105 ˚C for ten hours in oven to obtain dry gel. Calcination temperature for these samples was 700˚C for 3 hours in a furnace. The particle size of parent compound ranges from 4.4 nm to 11 nm, determined by SEM. The tendency of particles to form the aggregates with the increased annealing temperature was observed. The SEM and optical characterization of this compound has shown the sol gel derived material may be successfully used as an effective doped lithium cobalt ceramic pigment with controlled variation in structural and optical properties. SEM images showed that spherical like doped particle have diameter 33nm. From PL spectra Nano structure shows band gap 2.5ev and when we doped Lithium in it band gap decreases and become 1.19ev, which is associated to band gap transition.

The objective of the current study is to analyze numerically the effect of the temperature-jump boundary condition on heterogeneous microfluidic immunosensors under electrothermal force. A three-dimensional simulation using the finite element method on the binding reaction kinetics of C-reactive protein (CRP) was performed. The kinetic reaction rate was calculated with coupled Laplace, Navier−Stokes, energy, and mass diffusion equations. Two types of reaction surfaces were studied: one in the form of a disc surrounded by two electrodes and the other in the form of a circular ring, one electrode is located inside the ring and the other outside. The numerical results reveal that the performance of a microfluidic biosensor is enhanced by using the second design of the sensing area (circular ring) coupled with the electrothermal force. The improvement factor under the applied ac field 15 Vrms was about 1.2 for the first geometry and 3.6 for the second geometry. Furthermore, the effect of temperature jump on heat transfer rise and response time was studied. The effect of two crucial parameters, viz. Knudsen number (Kn) and thermal accommodation coefficient (σT) with and without electrothermal effect, were analyzed for the two configurations.

The most cost-effective electrical energy is produced by photovoltaic (PV) systems, and with the smallest carbon footprint, making it a sustainable renewable energy. They provide an excellent alternative to the existing fossil fuel-based energy systems, while providing 4% of global electricity demand. PV system efficiency is significantly reduced by the intrinsic non-linear model, maximum power point (MPP), and partial shading (PS) effects. These two problems cause major power loss. To devise the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control of the PV system, a novel group teaching optimization algorithm (GTOA) based controller is presented, which effectively deals with the PS and complex partial shading (CPS) conditions. Four case studies were employed that included fast-changing irradiance, PS, and CPS to test the robustness of the proposed MPPT technique. The performance of the GTOA was compared with the latest bio-inspired techniques, i.e., dragon fly optimization (DFO), cuckoo search (CS), particle swarm optimization (PSO), particle swarm optimization gravitational search (PSOGS), and conventional perturb and observe (P&amp, O). The GTOA tracked global MPP with the highest 99.9% efficiency, while maintaining the magnitude of the oscillation &lt, 0.5 W at global maxima (GM). Moreover, 13&ndash, 35% faster tracking times, and 54% settling times were achieved, compared to existing techniques. Statistical analysis was carried out to validate the robustness and effectiveness of the GTOA. Comprehensive analytical and statistical analysis solidified the superior performance of the proposed GTOA based MPPT technique.

The principal aim of this study was to analyze the effect of slip velocity at the microchannel wall on an alternating current electrothermal (ACET) flow micropump fitted with several pairs of electrodes. Using the finite element method (FEM), the coupled momentum, energy, and Poisson equations with and without slip boundary conditions have been solved to compute the velocity, temperature, and electrical field in the microchannel. The effects of the frequency and the voltage, and the electrical and thermal conductivities, respectively, of the electrolyte solution and the substrate material, have been minutely analyzed in the presence and absence of slip velocity. The slip velocity was simulated along the microchannel walls at different values of slip length. The results revealed that the slip velocity at the wall channel has a significant impact on the flow field. The existence of slip velocity at the wall increases the shear stress and therefore enhances the pumping efficiency. It was observed that higher average pumping velocity was achieved for larger slip length. When a glass substrate was used, the effect of the presence of the slip velocity was more manifest. This study shows also that the effect of slip velocity on the flow field is very important and must be taken into consideration in an ACET micropump.
