Analysis of the coexistence of two or more types of equipment is increasingly important. However, at present studies on the analysis method in the time domain are scant. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to explore the characteristics of signals and relations between interfering and desired signals in the time domain. Based on the periodicity of a signal, this paper presents a Periodic Pulse Overlap Method (PPOM). Using PPOM to analyze the interference from Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) to Air Traffic Control Radar Beacon System (ATCRBS) in the time domain, we obtain almost the same result as that based on the Monte Carlo Method (MCM). Furthermore, we discover the measures to reduce or even avoid interference, such as changing the Pulse Recurrence Frequency (PRF), adjusting the difference of initial time, and switching the operating modes of the equipment.

Valsa canker caused by Valsa pyri is one of the most destructive diseases of commercial pear. For the present analysis, 29 different endophytic fungal strains were isolated from the branches of a healthy pear tree. In dual culture assays, strain ZZ1 exhibited robust antifungal activity against all tested pathogens including Valsa pyri. Microscopic analyses suggested that following co-culture with ZZ1, the hyphae of V. pyri were ragged, thin, and ruptured. ZZ1 also induced significant decreases in lesion length and disease incidence on detached pear branches inoculated with V. pyri. ZZ1 isolate-derived culture filtrates also exhibited antifungal activity against V. pyri, decreasing mycelial growth and conidium germination and inhibiting V. pyri-associated lesion development on pear branches. These results suggest that the ZZ1 isolate has the potential for use as a biological control agent against V. pyri. The strain was further identified as Penicillium&nbsp, citrinum based on its morphological characteristics and molecular analyses. Overall, these data highlight a potentially valuable new biocontrol resource for combating pear Valsa canker.

The accumulation of microplastics (MPs) in soil and sediments may influence the penetration of contaminants into subsurface environments. However, little attention has been paid to comparing the different roles of two common polyethylene (PE) types-low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE). In this study, the transport behaviors of tetracycline in saturated quartz sand columns in the presence and absence of these two MPs were investigated, respectively. The results showed that both types of PE MPs restrained the mobility of tetracycline at neutral conditions, while such detrimental effects were weak at acid and alkaline conditions. The degree of nonequilibrium adsorption was higher, and tetracycline transferred easier to the kinetic site for the existence of LDPE than of HDPE. The increased roughness and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface areas, more negative zeta potentials and the formation of oxygen function groups on the surface of MPs after UV-weathering intensified the retardation of tetracycline transport.
