Selection of the optimal users to maximize the quality of the collected sensing data within a certain budget range is a crucial issue that affects the effectiveness of mobile crowdsensing (MCS). The coverage of mobile users (MUs) in a target area is relevant to the accuracy of sensing data. Furthermore, the historical reputation of MUs can reflect their previous behavior. Therefore, this study proposes a coverage and reputation joint constraint incentive mechanism algorithm (CRJC-IMA) based on Stackelberg game theory for MCS. First, the location information and the historical reputation of mobile users are used to select the optimal users, and the information quality requirement will be satisfied consequently. Second, a two-stage Stackelberg game is applied to analyze the sensing level of the mobile users and obtain the optimal incentive mechanism of the server center (SC). The existence of the Nash equilibrium is analyzed and verified on the basis of the optimal response strategy of mobile users. In addition, mobile users will adjust the priority of the tasks in time series to enable the total utility of all their tasks to reach a maximum. Finally, the EM algorithm is used to evaluate the data quality of the task, and the historical reputation of each user will be updated accordingly. Simulation experiments show that the coverage of the CRJC-IMA is higher than that of the CTSIA. The utility of mobile users and SC is higher than that in STD algorithms. Furthermore, the utility of mobile users with the adjusted task priority is greater than that without a priority order.

In this paper, the parameters of a prototype runner of an axial flow pump are optimized by using the immersion boundary–lattice Boltzmann numerical method based on a large-eddy simulation (LES-IB-LBM). A fish-friendly axial flow pump with a leading-edge thickness of 11.4 mm and blade cutting angle of 18° is proposed. Through experiments, the living conditions of many kinds of fish in extremely positive and negative pressure environments are explored, and the probability of damage caused by pump to fish is analyzed by taking −40 kPa as the low-pressure damage threshold. The flow passage of the fish-friendly axial flow pump effectively guides the fish to low-risk areas, reducing the risk of friction, shear, and impact damage to the fish. The total impact mortality ratio of runners before and after the axial flow pump optimization is close to 7:1.

For the sake of conducting distribution network reliability prediction in an accurate and efficient manner, a model for distribution network reliability prediction (IAO-LSSVM) based on an improved Aquila Optimizer (IAO) optimized mixed-kernel Least Squares Support Vector Machine (LSSVM) is thus proposed in this paper. First, the influencing factors that greatly affect the distribution network reliability are screened out through grey relational analysis. Afterwards, the radial basis kernel function and polynomial kernel function are combined and a mixed kernel LSSVM model is constructed, which has better generalization ability. However, for the AO algorithm, it is easy to fall into local extremum. In such case, the AO algorithm is innovatively improved after both the improved tent chaotic initialization strategy and adaptive t-distribution strategy are introduced. Next, the parameters of the mixed-kernel LSSVM model are optimized and the IAO-LSSVM distribution network reliability prediction model is established through using the improved AO algorithm. In the end, the prediction results and errors of the IAO-LSSVM prediction model and other models are compared in the actual distribution network applications. It is revealed that the IAO-LSSVM prediction model proposed in this paper features higher accuracy and better stability.

Alginate lyase has been demonstrated as an efficient tool in the preparation of functional oligosaccharides (AOS) from alginate. The high viscosity resulting from the high concentration of alginate poses a limiting factor affecting enzymatic hydrolysis, particularly in the preparation of the fragments with low degrees of polymerization (DP). Herein, a PL7 family alginate lyase Algt from Microbulbifer thermotolerans DSM 19189 was developed and expressed in Pichia pastoris. The recombinant alginate lyase Algt1 was constructed by adopting the structural domain truncation strategy, and the enzymatic activity towards the alginate was improved from 53.9 U/mg to 212.86 U/mg compared to Algt. Algt1 was stable when incubated at 40 °C for 90 min, remaining with approximately 80.9% of initial activity. The analyses of thin-layer chromatography (TLC), fast protein liquid chromatography (FPLC), and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) demonstrated that the DP of the minimum identifiable substrate of Algt1 was five, and the main hydrolysis products were AOS with DP 1–4. Additionally, 1-L the enzymatic hydrolysis system demonstrated that Algt1 exhibited an effective degradation at alginate concentrations of up to 20%, with the resulting products of monosaccharides (14.02%), disaccharides (21.10%), trisaccharides (37.08%), and tetrasaccharides (27.80%). These superior properties of Algt1 make it possible to efficiently generate functional AOS with low DP in industrial processing.

Radiation-induced skin injury (RISI) is a frequent and severe complication with a complex pathogenesis that often occurs during radiation therapy, nuclear incidents, and nuclear war, for which there is no effective treatment. Hyaluronan (HA) plays an overwhelming role in the skin, and it has been shown that UVB irradiation induces increased HA expression. Nevertheless, to the best of our knowledge, there has been no study regarding the biological correlation between RISI and HA degradation and its underlying mechanisms. Therefore, in our study, we investigated low-molecular-weight HA content using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and changes in the expression of HA-related metabolic enzymes using real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction and a Western blotting assay. The oxidative stress level of the RISI model was assessed using sodium dismutase, malondialdehyde, and reactive oxygen species assays. We demonstrated that low-molecular-weight HA content was significantly upregulated in skin tissues during the late phase of irradiation exposure in the RISI model and that HA-related metabolic enzymes, oxidative stress levels, the MEK5/ERK5 pathway, and inflammatory factors were consistent with changes in low-molecular-weight HA content. These findings prove that HA degradation is biologically relevant to RISI development and that the HA degradation mechanisms are related to HA-related metabolic enzymes, oxidative stress, and inflammatory factors. The MEK5/ERK5 pathway represents a potential mechanism of HA degradation. In conclusion, we aimed to investigate changes in HA content and preliminarily investigate the HA degradation mechanism in a RISI model under γ-ray irradiation, to consider HA as a new target for RISI and provide ideas for novel drug development.

Sorghum mosaic virus (SrMV, the genus Potyvirus of the family Potyviridae) is a causal agent of common mosaic in sugarcane and poses a threat to the global sugar industry. In this study, a total of 901 sugarcane leaf samples with mosaic symptom were collected from eight provinces in China and were detected via RT-PCR using a primer pair specific to the SrMV coat protein (CP). These leaf samples included 839 samples from modern cultivars (Saccharum spp. hybrids) and 62 samples from chewing cane (S. officinarum). Among these, 632 out of 901 (70.1%) samples were tested positive for SrMV. The incidences of SrMV infection were 72.3% and 40.3% in modern cultivars and chewing cane, respectively. Phylogenetic analysis showed that all tested SrMV isolates were clustered into three clades consisting of six phylogenetic groups based on 306 CP sequences (this study = 265 and GenBank database = 41). A total of 10 SrMV isolates from South America (the United States and Argentina) along with 106 isolates from China were clustered in group D, while the remaining 190 SrMV isolates from Asia (China and Vietnam) were dispersed in five groups. The SrMV isolates in group F were limited to Yunnan province in China, and those in group A were spread over eight provinces. A significant genetic heterogeneity was elucidated in the nucleotide sequence identities of all SrMV CPs, ranging from 69.0% to 100%. A potential recombination event was postulated among SrMV isolates based on CP sequences. All tested SrMV CPs underwent dominant negative selection. Geographical isolation (South America vs. Asia) and host types (modern cultivars vs. chewing cane) are important factors promoting the genetic differentiation of SrMV populations. Overall, this study contributes to the global understanding of the genetic evolution of SrMV and provides a valuable resource for the epidemiology and management of the mosaic in sugarcane.

Rubidium laser optically pumped magnetometers (OPMs) are widely used magnetic sensors based on the Zeeman effect, laser pumping, and magnetic resonance principles. They measure the magnetic field by measuring the magnetic resonance signal passing through a rubidium atomic gas cell. The quality of the magnetic resonance signal is a necessary condition for a magnetometer to achieve high sensitivity. In this research, to obtain the best magnetic resonance signal of rubidium laser OPMs in the Earth’s magnetic field intensity, the experiment system of rubidium laser OPMs is built with a rubidium atomic gas cell as the core component. The linewidth and amplitude ratio (LAR) of magnetic resonance signals is utilized as the optimization objective function. The magnetic resonance signals of the magnetometer experiment system are experimentally measured for different laser frequencies, radio frequency (RF) intensities, laser powers, and atomic gas cell temperatures in a background magnetic field of 50,765 nT. The experimental results indicate that optimizing these parameters can reduce the LAR by one order of magnitude. This shows that the optimal parameter combination can effectively improve the sensitivity of the magnetometer. The sensitivity defined using the noise spectral density measured under optimal experimental parameters is 1.5 pT/Hz1/2@1 Hz. This work will provide key technical support for rubidium laser OPMs’ product development.
