Simple Summary: Assisted reproductive technology including in vitro maturation (IVM) of oocytes, in vitro fertilization (IVF), and in vitro culture (IVC) of embryos is widely used both for humans and animals. In animal science and veterinary medicine, it is particularly important for livestock breeding. Although numerous efforts have been made, the development rates obtained with these techniques are still limited, especially in cattle. Vitamin C is a key nutrient that has multiple functions. To procure high-quality bovine oocytes, the effects of vitamin C on the IVM of bovine oocytes and embryo development at an early stage were investigated. We found that vitamin C supplementation at a tuned concentration improved bovine oocyte maturation and its combination in the media of IVM and IVC can potentially change the quality of bovine embryos. To obtain high-quality bovine oocytes, the effects of vitamin C (VC) on the IVM of bovine oocytes and early embryo development were investigated. The results showed the following. (1) The IVM medium containing 50 µg/mL VC improved the oocyte maturation rate but did not affect the parthenogenetic embryo development. (2) The IVC medium containing 20 µg/mL VC improved the cleavage rate of the IVF embryos and enhanced the mRNA transcriptions of pluripotency gene Oct4, Sox2, Cdx2, and Nanog in the blastocysts but had no effects on the blastocyst rate. (3) Combining supplementation of 50 µg/mL VC in IVM medium + 20 µg/mL VC in IVC medium (named as VC 50/20, similar hereinafter) elevated the cleavage rate of IVF embryos and enhanced the mRNA expressions of Oct4, Sox2, Cdx2, and Nanog in the blastocysts. (4) Combination of VC 0/20 and VC 50/20 enhanced the transcription of anti-apoptotic gene Bcl-2 and VC 50/0 weakened the transcription of pro-apoptotic gene Bax, while VC 0/40 and VC 0/60 increased Bax expression and diminished the Bcl-2/Bax ratio in blastocysts. Together, employing 50 µg/mL VC improves the IVM of bovine oocytes and combination of VC 50/20 potentially changes bovine embryo quality by enhancing the expressions of the pluripotency genes and regulating the expressions of apoptosis-related genes. Pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) can differentiate into three germ layers and diverse autologous cell lines. Since cattle are the most commonly used large domesticated animals, an important food source, and bioreactors, great efforts have been made to establish bovine PSCs (bPSCs). bPSCs have great potential in bovine breeding and reproduction, modeling in vitro differentiation, imitating cancer development, and modeling diseases. Currently, bPSCs mainly include bovine embryonic stem cells (bESCs), bovine induced pluripotent stem cells (biPSCs), and bovine expanded potential stem cells (bEPSCs). Establishing stable bPSCs in vitro is a critical scientific challenge, and researchers have made numerous efforts to this end. In this review, the category of PSC pluripotency; the establishment of bESCs, biPSCs, and bEPSCs and its challenges; and the application outlook of bPSCs are discussed, aiming to provide references for future research. As an important part of the industrial internet, identity analysis data are growing with the expansion of the field involved in the industrial internet. The management of industrial internet identity analysis data faces many problems, such as complex types, a wide range of information, rapid growth, reduced security, etc. In view of the above problems, a trusted management model of industrial internet identity analysis data based on blockchain is first designed. Meanwhile, the identity analysis data information is analyzed and classified, and industrial data are divided into three levels according to the degree of privacy for hierarchical encryption. Secondly, the "on-chain + off-chain" storage model combining the blockchain main-slave chain and the off-chain database is designed to improve the efficiency of the whole model. Then, a collaborative consensus mechanism suitable for the main-slave multi-chain of the industrial internet is also designed, including slave-chain CIPBFT consensus, inter-chain cross-chain transmission protocol and main chain KZKP consensus. Finally, a prototype system is built to analyze the correctness, security, scalability and consensus efficiency of the model proposed in this study. The results show that the model proposed in this study can be applied to trusted management of data information for industrial internet identity analysis, and also provides an optimized solution for the same problem in fields of the industrial internet. Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) swarms offer unique advantages for area search and environmental monitoring applications. For practical deployments, determining the optimal number of UAVs required for a given task and defining key performance metrics for the platforms and payloads are crucial challenges. This study aims to address mission planning and performance optimization for cooperative UAV swarm search scenarios. A new clustering algorithm is proposed, integrating enhanced clustering techniques with ant colony optimization, particle swarm optimization, and crow search optimization. This jointly optimizes and validates the UAV numbers and coordinated trajectories. Sensitivity analysis and indicator optimization further examine specific scenarios to quantify platform and sensor factors influencing search efficiency. Lastly, sensitivity analysis and performance indicator optimization are conducted in specific scenarios. Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy, recognized for its heat-treatable and super-high strength, is a pivotal material for critical structural components in aviation. Consequently, grasping the intricate relationship between heat treatment processes and the microstructural characteristics and properties of the Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy is of paramount practical significance. This study encompasses a spectrum of heat treatment methodologies, delving into the diverse effects of distinct aging treatments on the microstructure and performance of thin Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy sheets. The findings illuminate that short natural aging treatments bestow heightened strength and hardness upon the alloy, albeit at the expense of ductility. Nevertheless, the alloy retains commendable malleability, enabling significant cold deformation. In contrast, artificial aging markedly elevates the alloy's strength and hardness, albeit concurrently inducing a precipitous decline in ductility, thereby attenuating the alloy's cold formability. Stress field analysis is an essential part of umbilical component layout design. The stress field analysis of an umbilical, via numerical simulation, has commonly been applied in practical engineering. The high economic and time cost associated with numerical simulation and analysis of the stress field in an umbilical has been replaced by data-driven, deep-learning-based, real-time computational methods. In this study, a novel Pyramidal Efficient U-Net (PyEf-U-Net) network is proposed to predict the stress field distribution of the umbilical. The input dataset is obtained via the Differential Evolution-Generalized Lagrange Multiplier (DE-GLM) method, which is entered into the network for training, with a detailed discussion of the effects of hyperparameters such as optimizer, learning rate, and loss function on the performance of the network. The experimental research demonstrates that the proposed PyEf-U-Net can accurately predict the stress field of the umbilical in real time with a prediction accuracy of 94.2%, which is superior to other deep learning networks. The proposed method can provide an effective way for rapid mechanical analysis and design of the umbilical in practical engineering, while the method can be extended to the mechanical analysis and design of other similar marine engineering equipment structures. The Dingqing ophiolite represents a significant allochthonous ophiolite nappe in the eastern segment of the Bangong–Nujiang suture zone in southeastern Tibet. The microanalytical data of associated podiform chromitites classify them into two distinct varieties: high-Al and high-Cr. The coexistence of both high-Cr and high-Al chromitites in the Dingqing ophiolite suggests a complex or multistage evolutionary history of the host rocks. New petrological and geochemical analyses are used herein to unravel the interrelationships between the chromitite ores and host rocks and assess the mechanism of formation. The Dingqing ophiolitic nappe is made up mainly of harzburgite, dunite, and less abundant pyroxenite and gabbro. Several small lens-shaped bodies of chromitite ore are mostly confined to the harzburgite rocks, with ore textures varying from massive to sparsely disseminated chromite. In addition to magnesiochromite, the orebodies contain minor amounts of olivine, amphibole, and serpentine. The textural relationships provide compelling evidence of plastic deformation and partial melting of the associated peridotites. Detailed examination of the Cr-spinel grains reveals a wide range of composition, spanning from high-Al (Cr# = 3.18–59.5) to high-Cr (Cr# 60.3–87.32). The abundances of the platinum-group element (PGE) in chromitites are significantly variable (93 to 274 ppb). Formation of the Dingqing peridotites most likely took place in a mid-ocean ridge (MOR) setting, and subsequent modifications by supra-subduction zone (SSZ) melts resulted in heterogenous or mixed geochemical characteristics of these rocks. Chemistry of the spinel–olivine–clinopyroxene assemblage demonstrates multiple stages of partial melting of the source mantle rocks, including an early phase of restricted partial melting (~20%–30%) and a later phase of extensive partial melting (>40%). The formation of the high-Al chromitite type was associated with the early phase (constrained melting), whereas extensive partial melting in the late stages likely led to the accumulation of high-Cr podiform chromitite bodies. Spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs) are the only primitive spermatogonial cells in males that can naturally transmit genetic information to their offspring and replicate throughout their lives. Phospholipase D family member 6 (PLD6) has recently been found to be a surface marker for SSCs in mice and boars; however, it has not been validated in cattle. The results of reversed transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) found that the relative expression of the PLD6 gene in the testicular tissues of two-year-old Simmental calves was significantly higher than that of six-month-old calves. Immunofluorescent staining further verified the expression of PLD6 protein in bovine spermatogenic cells like germ cell marker DEAD box helicase 4 (DDX4, also known as VASA). Based on multiple bioinformatic databases, PLD6 is a conservative protein which has high homology with mouse Q5SWZ9 protein. It is closely involved in the normal functioning of the reproductive system. Molecular dynamics simulation analyzed the binding of PLD6 as a phospholipase to cardiolipin (CL), and the PLD6-CL complex showed high stability. The protein interaction network analysis showed that there is a significant relationship between PLD6 and piwi-interacting RNA (piRNA) binding protein. PLD6 acts as an endonuclease and participates in piRNA production. In addition, PLD6 in bovine and mouse testes has a similar expression pattern with the spermatogonium-related genes VASA and piwi like RNA-mediated gene silencing 2 (PIWIL2). Classification tasks are pivotal across diverse applications, yet the burgeoning amount of data, coupled with complicating factors such as noise, exacerbates the challenge of classifying complex data. For algorithms that require a large amount of data, the annotation work for datasets is also exceptionally complex and tedious. Drawing upon existing research, this paper first introduces a novel semi-supervised category dictionary model based on transfer learning (SSDT). This model is designed to construct a more representative category dictionary and to delineate the associations of information across different domains, utilizing the lens of conditional probability distribution. This approach is particularly apt for semi-supervised transfer learning scenarios. Subsequently, the proposed method is applied to the domain of bearing fault diagnosis. This model is suitable for transfer scenarios; moreover, its semi-supervised characteristic eliminates the need for labeling the entire input dataset, significantly reducing manual workload. 1,5-Anhydro-D-fructose (1,5-AF) is a bioactive monosaccharide that is produced by the glycogenolysis in mammalians and is metabolized to 1,5-anhydro-D-glucitol (1,5-AG). 1,5-AG is used as a marker of glycemic control in diabetes patients. 1,5-AF has a variety of physiological activities, but its effects on energy metabolism, including feeding behavior, are unclarified. The present study examined whether 1,5-AF possesses the effect of satiety. Peroral administration of 1,5-AF, and not of 1,5-AG, suppressed daily food intake. Intracerebroventricular (ICV) administration of 1,5-AF also suppressed feeding. To investigate the neurons targeted by 1,5-AF, we investigated c-Fos expression in the hypothalamus and brain stem. ICV injection of 1,5-AF significantly increased c-Fos positive oxytocin neurons and mRNA expression of oxytocin in the paraventricular nucleus (PVN). Moreover, 1,5-AF increased cytosolic Ca2+ concentration of oxytocin neurons in the PVN. Furthermore, the satiety effect of 1,5-AF was abolished in oxytocin knockout mice. These findings reveal that 1,5-AF activates PVN oxytocin neurons to suppress feeding, indicating its potential as the energy storage monitoring messenger to the hypothalamus for integrative regulation of energy metabolism. As the main food source of the world's population, grain quality safety is of great significance to the healthy development of human beings. The grain food supply chain is characterized by its long life cycle, numerous and complex business data, difficulty defining private information, and difficult managing and sharing. In order to strengthen the ability of information application processing and coordination of the grain food supply chain under many risk factors, an information management model suitable for the grain food supply chain is studied based on the blockchain multi-chain technology. First, the information on key links in the grain food supply chain is analyzed to obtain privacy data classifications. Second, a multi-chain network model of the grain food supply chain is constructed, and based on this model, the hierarchical encryption and storage mode of private data as well as the relay cross-chain communication mode, are designed. In addition, a complete consensus process, including CPBFT, ZKP, and KZKP algorithms, is designed for the global information collaborative consensus under the multi-chain architecture. Finally, the model is verified through performance simulation, theory analysis, and prototype system verification in terms of its correctness, security, scalability, and consensus efficiency. The results show that this research model effectively reduces the storage redundancy and deals with problems of data differential sharing in traditional single-chain research, as well as provides a secure data protection mechanism, a credible data interaction mechanism, and an efficient multi-chain collaborative consensus mechanism. By attempting to apply blockchain multi-chain technology to the grain food supply chain, this study provides new research ideas for the trusted protection of data and information collaborative consensus in this field. Through inductive coupling, AC transmission lines can generate large amounts of voltage to buried oil and gas pipelines in areas with common corridors, posing a threat to the cathodic protection effect of pipelines. Therefore, this paper investigates the effect of AC transmission lines on the cathodic protection of long-distance pipelines through inductive coupling. COMSOL Multiphysics finite element simulation software is used to calculate the distribution of cathodic protection potential of long-distance pipelines under different voltage levels, parallel spacing, conductor-to-ground height, conductor arrangement and pipeline burial depth for normal operation of AC transmission lines. Comparison and analysis of the AC transmission line on the pipeline cathodic protection potential interference law is conducted. The results show that: 1. AC transmission lines cause serious electromagnetic interference with the pipeline cathodic protection system, which will cause the pipeline cathodic protection potential to shift out of the effective protection area. 2. The maximum value of the induced voltage of the pipeline will appear at the two ends of the pipeline, and the induced voltage of the pipeline in the middle position is 0. 3. The shift of the pipeline cathodic protection potential increases with the increase of voltage level and decreases with the increase of parallel spacing, conductor height and burial depth. Minimally invasive surgical robots have the advantages of high positioning accuracy, good stability, and flexible operation, which can effectively improve the quality of surgery and reduce the difficulty for doctors to operate. However, in order to realize the translation of the existing RCM mechanism, it is often necessary to add a mobile unit, which is often bulky and occupies most space above the patient's body, thus causing interference to the operation. In this paper, a new type of planar RCM mechanism is proposed. Based on this mechanism, a 3-DOF robotic arm is designed, which can complete the required motion for surgery without adding a mobile unit. In this paper, the geometric model of the mechanism is first introduced, and the RCM point of the mechanism is proven during the motion process. Then, based on the establishment of the geometric model of the mechanism, a kinematics analysis of the mechanism is carried out. The singularity, the Jacobian matrix, and the kinematic performance of the mechanism are analyzed, and the working space of the mechanism is verified according to the kinematic equations. The development of rural ethnic culture resources is conducive to protecting the cultural characteristics of traditional ethnic villages and achieving the great goal of the industrialized utilization of rural cultural heritage resources as well. Oriented by the goal of rural revitalization, this article targets the characteristics and problems of the development of the Tujia village of Feng Xiang Xi in Guizhou Province. Employing the methods of field investigation and cultural gene identification, this paper analyzes the cultural genes of the Tujia ethnic identity and summarizes the characteristics of its spatial representation. It is essential for us to summarize the current difficulties of rural protection and development and clarify the relationship between cultural revitalization, rural revitalization, and sustainable development, which then puts forward a new path for rural revitalization, especially by virtue of the inheritance of the spatial cultural genes of the Tujia village. Specifically, the "protection of the cultural genes of the Tujia ethnic identity" is determined as the principal policy for rural development, the rural spatial structure is reconstructed based on the study tour of the Tujia village, and the public cultural space is reconstructed based on the inheritance and utilization of the cultural genes of Tujia. In the meantime, attention should be paid to orderly construction, and priority should be given to the construction of transportation and service facilities. The basic leucine zipper (bZIP) transcription factors, which harbor a conserved bZIP domain composed of two regions, a DNA-binding basic region and a Leu Zipper region, operate as important switches of transcription networks in eukaryotes. However, this gene family has not been systematically characterized in cotton (Gossypium hirsutum). Here, we identified 197 bZIP family members in cotton. The chromosome distribution pattern indicates that the GhbZIP genes have undergone 53 genome-wide segmental and 7 tandem duplication events which contribute to the expansion of the cotton bZIP family. Phylogenetic analysis showed that cotton GhbZIP proteins cluster into 13 subfamilies, and homologous protein pairs showed similar characteristics. Inspection of the DNA-binding basic region and leucine repeat heptads within the bZIP domains indicated different DNA-binding site specificities as well as dimerization properties among different groups. Comprehensive expression analysis indicated the most highly and differentially expressed genes in root and leaf that might play significant roles in cotton response to drought stress. GhABF3D was identified as a highly and differentially expressed bZIP family gene in cotton leaf and root under drought stress treatments that likely controls drought stress responses in cotton. Soft actuators have received extensive attention in robotics and smart device applications due to their distinctive dexterity and compliance. Among them, hydraulic soft actuators play an important role in the area because they have much higher specific power and power density than other types such as pneumatic soft actuators. Nevertheless, the deformation of flexible materials in soft actuators brings about inherent hysteresis and nonlinearity, which severely hinders them from producing the desired movement in the presence of advanced control strategies. In this paper, previous research efforts made to enhance the driving capability and actuation efficiency of hydraulic soft actuators are illustrated and analyzed from the three aspects of architecture, materials, and control strategy. Meanwhile, the issues and challenges that have emerged when developing hydraulic soft actuators are discussed. Nanomotor systems have attracted extensive attention due to their applications in nanorobots and nanodevices. The control of their response is crucial but presents a great challenge. In this work, the rotating and braking processes of a carbon nanotube (CNT)-based rotor system have been studied using molecular dynamics simulation. The speed of response can be tuned by controlling the ratio of hydroxyl groups on the edges. The ratio of hydroxyl groups is positively correlated with the speed of response. The mechanism involved is that the strong hydrogen bonds formed between interfaces increase the interface interaction. Incremental increase in the hydroxyl group concentration causes more hydrogen bonds and thus strengthens the interconnection, resulting in the enhancement of the speed of response. The phonon density of states analysis reveals that the vibration of hydroxyl groups plays the key role in energy dissipation. Our results suggest a novel routine to remotely control the nanomotors by modulating the chemical environment, including tuning the hydroxyl groups concentration and pH chemistry. Tailings dams are built to safely store tailings and to protect the natural environment from damage. However, tailings dam accidents occur frequently, endangering the safety of life and property, and causing pollution to the environment. Many tailings dam accidents are caused by seepage. As such, this study takes the No. II tailings dam of Ledong Baolun Gold Mine in Hainan Province as an example and builds a two-dimensional finite element model to simulate the seepage field. The effects of normal-water-level and high-water-level conditions on the total head, pressure head, and wetting line of the main and auxiliary dams were compared. The results show that higher water levels in both the main dam and the auxiliary dam lead to a higher pressure head at the top of the dam, lower pressure head at the bottom of the dam, higher total pressure head, and at the same time, a higher wetting line, and greater destabilization. Cooperative group formation control of manned/unmanned aircraft vehicles (MAV/UAVs) using a hierarchical framework can be more efficient and flexible than centralized control strategies. In this paper, a two-level hierarchical-interaction-based cooperative control strategy is proposed for the MAV/UAVs group formation. At the upper level, combined with the nonlinear disturbance observer (NDO) and dynamic surface control (DSC) algorithm, a trajectory tracking problem with external disturbances for MAV is formulated. At the lower level, the leader-following formation controller is utilized to deal with the sub-formation keeping control problem for UAVs, based on the sliding mode disturbance observer and fast terminal sliding mode control law, and the robust performance and control accuracy are effectively improved. Moreover, the overall stability of the MAV/UAVs system is demonstrated using Lyapunov theory. The proposed approach is evaluated by simulation under the ground penetration combat mission for MAV/UAVs, and the performance is compared with that of other control strategies. There are more and more tunnel projects in the karst-developed areas in Southwest China. Affected by karst caves and water, karst tunnels often experience geological disasters such as local collapses and water inrush. A simplified rock stress hardening-softening model was established based on the triaxial compression test results of two kinds of carbonatite to accurately analyze the deformation and water inrush characteristics of the surrounding rocks after karst tunnel excavation. The total stress–strain curve of rocks was simplified into four linear stages: the linear elastic stage, strain hardening stage, strain-softening stage, and residual stage. The volumetric strain–axial strain curve was simplified into four corresponding linear stages: the elastic expansion stage, slow expansion stage, rapid expansion stage, and stable expansion stage. The stress hardening–softening model was used to deduce the relationship between the rocks' mechanical parameters such as cohesion, internal friction angle, dilatancy angle, and plastic strain, as well as the relationship between seepage characteristic parameters such as permeability coefficient, porosity, and volumetric strain. A karst tunnel in Chongqing, China was taken as the engineering background. The stress hardening–softening constitutive model and seepage characteristic parameters were applied to the FLAC3D numerical simulation by the programming language FISH to analyze the stability and water inrush characteristics of karst tunnels in overlying confining caves. The results showed that rock masses between the cave and tunnel were prone to overall sliding instability. Confined water in the karst cave intruded into the tunnel through the shear-slip rupture zone on both sides instead of the shortest path. Two water inrush points existed on the tunnel surface. The variation law of the permeability coefficients of the surrounding rocks could more truly reflect whether there was a seepage channel between the tunnel and karst cave, as well as the permeable area and water inrush speed of the seepage channel. The central melanocortin system conducted by anorexigenic pro-opiomelanocortin (POMC) neurons and orexigenic agouti-related peptide (AgRP) neurons in the arcuate nucleus of the hypothalamus (ARC) not only regulates feeding behavior but also blood pressure. Excessive salt intake raises the Na+ concentration ([Na+]) in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and worsens hypertension. The blood–brain barrier is immature in the ARC. Therefore, both AgRP and POMC neurons in the ARC have easy access to the electrolytes in the blood and can sense changes in their concentrations. However, the sensitivity of AgRP and POMC neurons to Na+ remains unclear. This study aimed to explore how the changes in the extracellular Na+ concentration ([Na+]) influence these neurons by measuring the cytosolic Ca2+ concentration ([Ca2+]i) in the single neurons isolated from the ARC that were subsequently immunocytochemically identified as AgRP or POMC neurons. Both AgRP and POMC neurons responded to increases in both [Na+] and osmolarity in C57BL/6 mice. In contrast, in transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) knockout (KO) mice, POMC neurons failed to respond to increases in both [Na+] and osmolarity, while they responded to high glucose and angiotensin II levels with increases in [Ca2+]i. Moreover, in KO mice fed a high-salt diet, the expression of POMC was lower than that in wild-type mice. The increasing use of high-voltage transmission wires requires more and more high-voltage pylons, and sometimes, constructing pylons in mining areas is very urgent. To ensure the safe operation of pylons, coal pillars with large side lengths are usually used to provide sufficient support; however, this results in a huge waste of coal. Eight high-voltage pylons are arranged on the ground surface corresponding to the location of working face 1110 of Sima Coal Mine in Shanxi Province, China, which cannot be mined by traditional methods. Taking this as the engineering background, the failure mode of high-voltage pylon is first analyzed. Using FLAC3D numerical simulations, the influence of five different mining plans on ground surface deformation in working face 1110 is evaluated, and the vertical settlement and horizontal deformation in different areas of the ground surface, as well as the variation law of horizontal strain and slope are analyzed. According to the numerical simulation results, the range of thickness-limiting mining or backfill mining in working face 1110 is shown in scheme 3, and the key regions in the mining process are determined. Secondly, the strengthening scheme of high-voltage pylons is designed, that is, the four foundations of high-voltage pylons are connected as a whole with steel supports and steel connectors so as to improve the structural strength of the high-voltage pylon. Finally, the position change in the foundation of high-voltage pylons was monitored for 22 consecutive months. The results show that the maximum settlement of the high-voltage tower foundation is 3.1 m, which is consistent with the actual mining thickness; The high-voltage pylon was stably moved, and the change in transmission line tension and total length was usually less than 1.0%. The combined mining scheme and foundation strengthening scheme can ensure the safe operation of high-voltage pylons and provide a new method for the stability control of ground buildings in coal mining subsidence area. Recrystallization can affect the mechanical properties of aluminum alloys by changing the grain structure, and even the secondary recrystallization will cause a sudden change in the grain size in the alloy. In this work, by choosing different annealing treatments on the cold-drawn 5056 aluminum wire, the microstructure evolution in the alloy homogenized at different annealing processes was discussed, and its influence on the mechanical properties was tested. The results demonstrated that the different annealing treatments had a great effect on the recrystallized structure in the 5056 aluminum alloy. During the annealing, it was observed that the recrystallization started at 250 °C and completed at 310 °C, leading to a significant decrease in the mechanical properties. When the temperature was further increased to 530 °C, the secondary recrystallization occurred, and the grain size of the secondary recrystallization was larger than that when the annealing temperature was 560 °C. In this study, we used a complex network analysis to examine the accessibility features of changing road networks in historic urban areas. We aimed to discover the pattern of evolution after studying the accessibility of the road network in the Changsha historic urban area over four periods of time. The results were as follows: the layout of the urban road network shows repetitive cluster–parent–subsidiary development, which provides evidence of adaptive adjustment in urban road development; vulnerability has been kept low in the changing urban road network, while the spatial framework of the Changsha historic center is fixed; the evolving urban road network generally shows a deteriorating level of stability, which is largely affected by the shape of the network; the degree centrality (1877, 1.87%; 1917, 1.32%; 1987, 1.85%; 2021, 1.51%) of the urban road network shows a decreasing trend, meaning that the network is generally becoming more balanced in its evolution; and the accessibility of land plots currently used to preserve cultural relics and historic sites remains at a medium to low level, and improvements are needed for some plots. In analyzing the changing accessibility of urban roads in the historic center of Changsha city, two major problems for road renewal were identified: (1) unbalanced development of the urban space due to capital-based projects and (2) providing an appropriate increase in plot accessibility while putting equal emphasis on the protection of the spatial framework in the historic urban area. Featured Application: This paper presents a testing method based on laser ultrasonic bulk waves for the detection of interface delamination defects in a Cu/Al bimetallic plate produced by sandwich rolling. In this study, a method based on laser ultrasonic bulk waves is used to detect delamination in a bimetallic composite. For this purpose, several artificial delamination defects were created in a copper-aluminum sample using wire-electrode cutting. The research includes numerical simulation and experimental analysis. The propagation process of laser ultrasonic in Cu/Al bimetallic compo-site, the interaction between bulk waves and composite interface, and the effect of delamination defects on the ultrasound field were studied by numerical simulation. Suitable parameters and features were determined by numerical simulation, which provided a basis for the parameter se-lection of experimental research. The reflected shear waves from the composite interface can act as a sensitive feature to detect the delamination in Cu/Al bimetallic composites. The distance between the detection point and the excitation point was set to 2 mm to take into account the detection resolution and efficiency. The experimental results were in good agreement with the simulation results, and the C-scan image can intuitively show the location and size of delamination defects. The detection method based on laser ultrasonic bulk waves can effectively detect the delamination in Cu/Al bimetallic composite, which is suitable for the on-line detection of the rolling composite process. It is suggested that clock genes link the circadian rhythm to glucose and lipid metabolism. In this study, we explored the role of the clock gene Bmal1 in the hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus (PVN) in glucose metabolism. The Sim1-Cre-mediated deletion of Bmal1 markedly reduced insulin secretion, resulting in impaired glucose tolerance. The pancreatic islets' responses to glucose, sulfonylureas (SUs) and arginine vasopressin (AVP) were well maintained. To specify the PVN neuron subpopulation targeted by Bmal1, the expression of neuropeptides was examined. In these knockout (KO) mice, the mRNA expression of Avp in the PVN was selectively decreased, and the plasma AVP concentration was also decreased. However, fasting suppressed Avp expression in both KO and Cre mice. These results demonstrate that PVN BMAL1 maintains Avp expression in the PVN and release to the circulation, possibly providing islet β-cells with more AVP. This action helps enhance insulin release and, consequently, glucose tolerance. In contrast, the circadian variation of Avp expression is regulated by feeding, but not by PVN BMAL1. Robot-assisted minimally invasive surgery (MIS) has received increasing attention, both in the academic field and clinical operation. Master/slave control is the most widely adopted manipulation mode for surgical robots. Thus, sensing the force of the surgical instruments located at the end of the slave manipulator through the main manipulator is critical to the operation. This study mainly addressed the force detection of the surgical instrument and force feedback control of the serial surgical robotic arm. A measurement device was developed to record the tool end force from the slave manipulator. An elastic element with an orthogonal beam structure was designed to sense the strain induced by force interactions. The relationship between the acting force and the output voltage was obtained through experiment, and the three-dimensional force output was decomposed using an extreme learning machine algorithm while considering the nonlinearity. The control of the force from the slave manipulator end was achieved. An impedance control strategy was adopted to restrict the force interaction amplitude. Modeling, simulation, and experimental verification were completed on the serial robotic manipulator platform along with virtual control in the MATLAB/Simulink software environment. More and more attention has been given in the field of mechanical engineering to a material's R-value, a parameter that characterizes the ability of sheet metal to resist thickness strain. Conventional methods used to determine R-value are based on experiments and an assumption of constant volume. Because the thickness strain cannot be directly measured, the R-value is currently determined using experimentally measured strains in the width, and loading directions in combination with the constant volume assumption, to determine the thickness strain indirectly. This paper provides an alternative method for determining the R-value without any assumptions. This method is based on the use of a multi-camera DIC system to measure strains in three directions simultaneously. Two sets of stereo-vision DIC measurement systems, each comprised of two GigE cameras, are placed on the front and back sides of the sample. Use of the double-sided calibration strategy unifies the world coordinate system of the front and back DIC measurement systems to one coordinate system, allowing for the measurement of thickness strain and direct calculation of R-value. The precise segmentation of forest areas is essential for monitoring tasks related to forest exploration, extraction, and statistics. However, the effective and accurate segmentation of forest images will be affected by factors such as blurring and discontinuity of forest boundaries. Therefore, a Pyramid Feature Extraction-UNet network (PFE-UNet) based on traditional UNet is proposed to be applied to end-to-end forest image segmentation. Among them, the Pyramid Feature Extraction module (PFE) is introduced in the network transition layer, which obtains multi-scale forest image information through different receptive fields. The spatial attention module (SA) and the channel-wise attention module (CA) are applied to low-level feature maps and PFE feature maps, respectively, to highlight specific segmentation task features while fusing context information and suppressing irrelevant regions. The standard convolution block is replaced by a novel depthwise separable convolutional unit (DSC Unit), which not only reduces the computational cost but also prevents overfitting. This paper presents an extensive evaluation with the DeepGlobe dataset and a comparative analysis with several state-of-the-art networks. The experimental results show that the PFE-UNet network obtains an accuracy of 94.23% in handling the real-time forest image segmentation, which is significantly higher than other advanced networks. Decellularization efforts must balance the preservation of the extracellular matrix (ECM) components while eliminating the nucleic acid and cellular components. Following effective removal of nucleic acid and cell components, decellularized ECM (dECM) can be solubilized in an acidic environment with the assistance of various enzymes to develop biological scaffolds in different forms, such as sheets, tubular constructs, or three-dimensional (3D) hydrogels. Each organ or tissue that undergoes decellularization requires a distinct and optimized protocol to ensure that nucleic acids are removed, and the ECM components are preserved. The objective of this study was to optimize the decellularization process for dECM isolation from human lung tissues for downstream 2D and 3D cell culture systems. Following protocol optimization and dECM isolation, we performed experiments with a wide range of dECM concentrations to form human lung dECM hydrogels that were physically stable and biologically responsive. The dECM based-hydrogels supported the growth and proliferation of primary human lung fibroblast cells in 3D cultures. The dECM is also amenable to the coating of polyester membranes in Transwell™ Inserts to improve the cell adhesion, proliferation, and barrier function of primary human bronchial epithelial cells in 2D. Polymer-coated steel (PCS) is a new type of metal packaging material under development, which has better performance in saving resources, energy, and environmental protection. The lamination process has an important influence on the bonding quality of the PCS interface. PCS samples under different lamination temperatures and lamination speeds were prepared through experiments. A binding rate is defined to represent the real bonding area of the PCS interface. The micro-scratch tester and scanner are used to study the influence of the lamination process on the bonding rate and bonding strength of the PCS interface. It is proposed that the bonding rate and bonding strength of the PCS interface increases with the increase of lamination temperature and increases with the decrease of lamination speed. The PCS interface bonding rate and bonding strength are positively correlated. SEM and DSC experiments revealed the cause of bubbles on the PCS surface. It is proposed that controlling the uniformity of the TFS surface temperature can reduce the quality defects of PCS surface bubbles. As food and beverages require more and more green and safe packaging products, the emergence of polymer coated steel (PCS) has been promoted. PCS is a layered composite strip made of metal and polymer. To probe the bonding mechanism of PCS micro-interface, the substrate tin-free steel (TFS) was physically characterized by SEM and XPS, and cladding polyethylene terephthalate (PET) was simulated by first-principles methods of quantum mechanics (QM). We used COMPASS force field for molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. XPS pointed out that the element composition of TFS surface coating is Cr(OH)3, Cr2O3 and CrO3. The calculation results of MD and QM indicate that the chromium oxide and PET molecules compound in the form of acid-base interaction. The binding energies of Cr2O3 (110), (200), and (211) with PET molecules are −13.07 eV, −2.74 eV, and −2.37 eV, respectively. We established a Cr2O3 (200) model with different hydroxyl concentrations. It is proposed that the oxygen atom in C=O in the PET molecule combines with –OH on the surface of TFS to form a hydrogen bond. The binding energy of the PCS interface increases with the increase of the surface hydroxyl concentration of the TFS. To date, traditional visual-based event-related potential brain-computer interface (ERP-BCI) systems continue to dominate the mainstream BCI research. However, these conventional BCIs are unsuitable for the individuals who have partly or completely lost their vision. Considering the poor performance of gaze independent ERP-BCIs, it is necessary to study techniques to improve the performance of these BCI systems. In this paper, we developed a novel 36-class bimodal ERP-BCI system based on tactile and auditory stimuli, in which six-virtual-direction audio files produced via head related transfer functions (HRTF) were delivered through headphones and location-congruent electro-tactile stimuli were simultaneously delivered to the corresponding position using electrodes placed on the abdomen and waist. We selected the eight best channels, trained a Bayesian linear discriminant analysis (BLDA) classifier and acquired the optimal trial number for target selection in online process. The average online information transfer rate (ITR) of the bimodal ERP-BCI reached 11.66 bit/min, improvements of 35.11% and 36.69% compared to the auditory (8.63 bit/min) and tactile approaches (8.53 bit/min), respectively. The results demonstrate the performance of the bimodal system is superior to each unimodal system. Mobile applications (apps) on IOS and Android devices are mostly maintained and updated via Apple Appstore and Google Play, respectively, where the users are allowed to provide reviews regarding their satisfaction towards particular apps. Despite the importance of user reviews towards mobile app maintenance and evolution, it is time-consuming and ineffective to dissect each individual negative review. In addition, due to the different app update strategies, it is uncertain that each update can be accepted well by the users. This study aims to provide an approach to detect the particular days during the mobile app maintenance phase when the negative reviews require developers' attention. Furthermore, the method shall facilitate the mapping of the identified abnormal days towards the updates that result in such negativity in reviews. To rapidly detect the wheat moisture content (WMC) without harm to the wheat and before harvest, this paper measured wheat and panicle moisture content (PMC) and the corresponding spectral reflectance of panicle before harvest at the Beijing Tongzhou experimental station of China Agricultural University. Firstly, we used correlation analysis to determine the optimal regression model of WMC and PMC. Secondly, we derived the spectral sensitive band of PMC before filtering the redundant variables competitive adaptive reweighted sampling (CARS) to select the variable subset with the least error. Finally, partial least squares regression (PLSR) was used to build and analyze the prediction model of PMC. At the early stage of wheat harvest, a high correlation existed between WMC and PMC. Among all regression models such as exponential, univariate linear, polynomial models, and the power function regression model, the logarithm regression model was the best. The determination coefficients of the modeling sample were: R2 = 0.9284, the significance F = 362.957, the determination coefficient of calibration sample R2v = 0.987, the root mean square error RMSEv = 3.859, and the relative error REv = 7.532. Within the range of 350–2500 nm, bands of 728–907 nm, 1407–1809 nm, and 1940–2459 nm had a correlation coefficient of PMC and wavelength reflectivity higher than 0.6. This paper used the CARS algorithm to optimize the variables and obtained the best variable subset, which included 30 wavelength variables. The PLSR model was established based on 30 variables optimized by the CARS algorithm. Compared with the all-sensitive band, which had 1103 variables, the PLSR model not only reduced the number of variables by 1073, but also had a higher accuracy in terms of prediction. The results showed that: RMSEC = 0.9301, R2c = 0.995, RMSEP = 2.676, R2p = 0.945, and RPD = 3.362, indicating that the CARS algorithm could effectively remove the variables of spectral redundant information. Nitrogen and phosphorus adsorbents are widely used to mitigate agricultural non-point source pollution. However, research on adsorbents mainly involves studying chemical adsorption properties, and analyzes of the effects of adsorbent on pollutant removal has not considered the surface morphology of the adsorbent or the surface distribution of pollutants. In this study, we focus on the surface morphology of the adsorbent and the surface distribution of contaminants while examining chemical adsorption properties. The crystal composition of the adsorbent was evaluated by x-ray diffraction (XRD) characterization. Kinetic adsorption data and adsorption isotherms demonstrated that thermally modified zeolite exhibits better nitrogen adsorption. The optimal removal of nitrogen and phosphorus by thermally modified zeolite and diatomite occurred at a 3:2 ratio, reaching a removal rate of 92.07% and 84.61%, respectively. The potential adsorption mechanism of a composite adsorbent for nitrogen and phosphorus capture was investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Scanning electron microscopy mapping, grey image recognition, and gradient recognition confirmed a relationship between the surface morphology of the adsorbent and the distribution of surface pollutants. The larger the surface of the gradient, the more uneven it is, the more nitrogen and phosphorus sites are adsorbed on the surface, and the more nitrogen and phosphorus are adsorbed. These results suggest that thermally modified zeolite/diatomite can serve as a promising adsorbent for nitrogen and phosphorus removal in practical applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The void closure mechanism during the roll-bonding process was investigated using a multiscale approach, which includes contact deformation at the macro-scale and atomic bonding at the micro-scale. The closure process of the voids was observed using roll-bonding tests of 304 stainless steel/Q235 carbon steel. A finite element model was built to simulate the macroscopic deformation process of 304/Q235 material, and a molecular dynamics model established to simulate the deformation process of the microscopic rough peaks. The closure law and mechanism of interface voids at the macro- and micro-scales were studied. The results show that the closure rate of interface voids decreases with the decrease in the average contact stress during the contact deformation process. In the atomic bonding process, the void closure rate is slow in the elastic deformation process. The ordered atoms near the interface become disordered as plastic deformation occurs, which increases the void closure rate and hinders dislocation propagation through the interface, resulting in significant strengthening effects via plastic deformation. Ultimately, a perfect lattice is reconstructed with void healing. In addition, the interface morphology after roll-bonding at the macro scale was determined by the morphology of the 304 steel with larger yield strength ratio, while the interface morphology at the micro-scale was mainly determined by the morphology of the Q235 steel with a higher yield strength. In this study the microstructure and mechanical properties of stainless steel clad plate are researched. Due to element diffusion (Fe, Cr, Ni, Mn), a 20 μm thick diffusion layer is formed between stainless steel and carbon steel clad plate. The diffusion layer has a stable mechanical performance without obvious grain microstructure, and its internal mechanical properties show a graded change in the thickness direction. This is beneficial to a strong bond between stainless steel and carbon steel and the stable transition of mechanical performance in the thickness direction, as well as further carbon diffusion changes in the microstructure and mechanical properties near the diffusion layer of clad plate. Carburization stainless steel with a thickness of 150 μm is formed in the stainless steel side and decarburization carbon steel with a thickness of 80 μm is formed in the carbon steel side. The mining of shallow buried and thick coal seams may cause ground settlement, loss of surface water, and even soil desertification in arid–semi-arid climate zones. The key to protecting surface water resources through the technology of separated strata grouting is to study the evolution of the separation space under the key stratum (KS) with the change of strata. Aiming at the section of underground strata characteristics of F6202 and F6208 working faces, similar simulation tests under three typical geological conditions were carried out. Based on the experimental results, a theoretical calculation model was established, and the practice of separation grouting was carried out. The results show that, under the conditions of a thick coal seam with one KS, the structure formed by breaking strata below the KS was relatively unstable, and the separation space was relatively large, which is likely to cause serious ground settlement. More seriously, with the increase of the weakly consolidated layer and coal seam thickness, the increase of the ratio of rock to soil in the weakly consolidated layer, and the decrease of the thickness of the strata below the KS (two KS condition), the separation space was further increased. Based on the above analysis, combined with the real-time feedback data of the grout amount and pressure on hydraulic support, the position of the grouting borehole was determined, and the speed of mining advance was adjusted in time, thus effectively controlling the curvature of the ground settlement, protecting the integrity of the red clay layer near the surface, and consequently protecting water resources. The present study demonstrated that the chitinase gene ChiKJ406136 of Streptomyces sampsonii (Millard & Burr) Waksman KJ40 could be cloned using a PCR protocol and expressed in Escherichia coli (Migula) Castellani & Chalmers BL21 (DE3), and the recombinant protein had antifungal effect on four forest pathogens (Cylindrocladium scoparium Morgan, Cryphonectria parasitica (Murrill) Barr, Neofusicoccum parvum Crous, and Fusarium oxysporum Schl.) and also had the biological control effects on Eucalyptus robusta Smith leaf blight, Castanea mollissima BL. blight, Juglans regia L. blight and J. regia root rot. The results showed that ChiKJ406136 was efficiently expressed and a 48 kilodalton (kDa) recombinant protein was obtained. No significant change in protein production was observed in the presence of different concentrations of IPTG (isopropyl-b-D-thio-galactoside). The purified protein yield was greatest in the 150 mmol/L imidazole elution fraction, and the chitinase activities of the crude protein and purified protein solutions were 0.045 and 0.033 U/mL, respectively. The antifungal effects indicated that mycelial cells of the four fungi were disrupted, and the control effects of the chitinase on four forest diseases showed significant differences among the undiluted 10- and 20-fold dilutions and the control. The undiluted solution exhibited best effect. The results of this study provide a foundation for the use of S. sampsonii as a biocontrol agent and provides a new source for the chitinase gene, providing a theoretical basis for its application. Plants have evolved multiple mechanisms to respond to viral infection. These responses have been studied in detail at the level of host immune response and antiviral RNA silencing (RNAi). However, the possibility of epigenetic reprogramming has not been thoroughly investigated. Here, we identified the role of DNA methylation during viral infection and performed reduced representation bisulfite sequencing (RRBS) on tissues of Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV)-infected Nicotiana tabacum at various developmental stages. Differential methylated regions are enriched with CHH sequence contexts, 80% of which are located on the gene body to regulate gene expression in a temporal style. The methylated genes depressed by methyltransferase inhibition largely overlapped with methylated genes in response to viral invasion. Activation in the argonaute protein and depression in methyl donor synthase revealed the important role of dynamic methylation changes in modulating viral clearance and resistance signaling. Methylation-expression relationships were found to be required for the immune response and cellular components are necessary for the proper defense response to infection and symptom recovery. The interfacial bonding process and mechanical properties of AISI (American Iron and Steel Institute) stainless steel/Q235A carbon steel were investigated by deformation bonding, heat preservation, and tensile tests. The results reveal that the deformation temperature has a beneficial effect on the bonding rate, and that the critical temperature for the large-area bonding of stainless steel and carbon steel is approximately 700 °C. However, owing to the short contact time, only a shallow diffusion of approximately 2–3 µm can be achieved. A slight decrease in the interfacial bonding rate after heat preservation is correlated to the difference between the thermal expansion coefficients of the two materials, but the thickness of the diffusion layer shows a significant increase. It was found that the strength of the composites is mostly related to the bonding rate and the strength of the relatively soft material, which can be determined using an explicit equation. Moreover, with the increase in the interfacial bonding rate, the crack source changes from the junction of the unbonded and bonded areas of the interface to the interior of the carbon steel. Brown adipose tissue (BAT) plays an essential role in maintaining body temperature and in treating obesity and diabetes. The adult BAT (aBAT) and neonatal BAT (neBAT) vary greatly in capacity, but the characteristics and differences between them on the molecular level, as well as the related features of BAT as it develops post-delivery, have not yet been fully determined. In this study, we examined the morphological features of aBAT and neBAT of mice by using hematoxylin-eosin (H&E) staining, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). We found that neBAT contains a smaller number and size of lipid droplets, as well as more abundant mitochondria, compared with aBAT. The dynamic morphological changes revealed that the number and size of lipid droplets increase, but the number of mitochondria gradually decrease during the post-delivery development, which consisted of some differences in RNA or protein expression levels, such as gradually decreased uncoupling protein 1 ( UCP1 ) expression levels and mitochondrial genes, such as mitochondrial transcription factor A ( Tfam ). The adipocyte differentiation-related genes, such as transcription factor CCAAT enhancer-binding protein β ( CEBPβ ), were also continuously upregulated. Additionally, the different features of aBAT and neBAT were analyzed from the global transcription (RNA-Seq) level, which included messenger RNA (mRNA), microRNA, long non-coding RNA (lncRNA), circRNA, and DNA methylation, as well as proteins (proteomics). Differentially methylated region (DMR) analysis identified 383 hyper- and 503 hypo-methylated genes, as well as 1221 new circRNA in ne-BAT and 1991 new circRNA in a-BAT, with significantly higher expression of circRNA in aBAT compared with neBAT. Gene ontology (GO) enrichment analysis and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis indicated that mitochondrial activity, protein synthesis, and cell life activity levels were higher in neBAT, and pathways related to ribosomes, spliceosomes, and metabolism were significantly activated in neBAT compared to aBAT. Collectively, this study describes the dynamic changes occurring throughout post-delivery development from the morphological, molecular and omics perspectives. Our study provides information that may be utilized in improving BAT functional activity through gene regulation and/or epigenetic regulation.

Ochratoxin A (OTA) is a natural contaminant that has displayed nephrotoxicity and hepatotoxicity in mammals. It contaminates a great variety of foodstuffs and threatens people's lives. The molecular mechanism of OTA-induced toxicity has been studied since 1965. Moreover, epigenetic mechanisms are also studied in OTA-induced toxicity. Additionally, the mode of OTA epigenetic research has been advanced in research hotspots. However, there is still no epigenetic study of OTA-induced toxicity. In this review, we discuss the relationship between these epigenetic mechanisms and OTA-induced toxicity. We found that studies on the epigenetic mechanisms of OTA-induced toxicity all chose the whole kidney or liver as the model, which cannot reveal the real change in DNA methylation or miRNAs or histone in the target sites of OTA. Our recommendations are as follows: (1) the specific target site of OTA should be detected by advanced technologies; and (2) competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNA) should be explored with OTA.

Ochratoxin A (OTA) and Zearalenone (ZEA) are widespread mycotoxins that contaminate foodstuffs simultaneously, but sufficient data regarding their mixed toxicities are lacking. This study aims to analyze the style of combined effects of OTA and ZEA on cells of their target organs. For this purpose, cytotoxicity was determined in HepG2 and KK-1 cells treated with single and combined forms of OTA and ZEA. Furthermore, we have analyzed the data using two mathematical models based on the concepts of concentration addition (CA) and independent addition (IA). By analyzing data with nonlinear regression, toxins applied singly showed classic sigmoid dose-response curves in HepG2 cells whereas in KK-1 cells hormetic responses were observed. Exposure to equieffective mixtures of OTA and ZEA showed additive effects, irrespective of different nonlinear regression models used. Our results demonstrate that IA is an appropriate concept to account for mixture effects of OTA and ZEA. The results in ROS generation indicate a departure from additivity to antagonism or synergism at different concentrations, probably due to potential interaction during ROS production. This study shows that a risk assessment of mycotoxins should account for mixture effects, and prediction models are valuable tools for mixture assessment.
