The aim of the present study was to gain a better understanding of the role of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and dopamine D3 receptors in the effects of chronic methamphetamine (METH) on prepulse inhibition (PPI), an endophenotype of psychosis. We compared the effect of a three-week adolescent METH treatment protocol on the regulation of PPI in wildtype mice, BDNF heterozygous mice (HET), D3 receptor knockout mice (D3KO), and double-mutant mice (DM) with both BDNF heterozygosity and D3 receptor knockout. Chronic METH induced disruption of PPI regulation in male mice with BDNF haploinsufficiency (HET and DM), independent of D3 receptor knockout. Specifically, these mice showed reduced baseline PPI, as well as attenuated disruption of PPI induced by acute treatment with the dopamine receptor agonist, apomorphine (APO), or the glutamate NMDA receptor antagonist, MK-801. In contrast, there were no effects of BDNF heterozygosity or D3 knockout on PPI regulation in female mice. Chronic METH pretreatment induced the expected locomotor hyperactivity sensitisation, where female HET and DM mice also showed endogenous sensitisation. Differential sex-specific effects of genotype and METH pretreatment were observed on dopamine receptor and dopamine transporter gene expression in the striatum and frontal cortex. Taken together, these results show a significant involvement of BDNF in the long-term effects of METH on PPI, particularly in male mice, but these effects appear independent of D3 receptors. Fritillaria has a long history in China, and it can be consumed as medicine and food. Owing to the high cost of Fritillaria cirrhosa, traders sometimes mix it with the cheaper Fritillaria thunbergii powder to make profit. Herein, we proposed a laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) technique to test the adulteration present in the sample of Fritillaria cirrhosa powder. Experimental samples with different adulteration levels were prepared, and their LIBS spectra were obtained. Partial least squares regression (PLSR) was adopted as the quantitative analysis model to compare the effects of four data standardization methods, namely, mean centring, normalization by total area, standard normal variable, and normalization by the maximum, on the performance of the PLSR model. Principal component analysis and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) were utilized for feature extraction and feature selection, and the performance of the PLSR model was determined based on its quantitative analysis. Subsequently, the optimal number of features was determined. The residuals were corrected using support vector regression (SVR). The mean absolute error and root mean square error of prediction obtained from the quantitative analysis results of the combined LASSO-PLSR-SVR model for the test set data were 5.0396% and 7.2491%, respectively, and the coefficient of determination R2 was 0.9983. The results showed that the LIBS technique can be adopted to test adulteration in the sample of Fritillaria cirrhosa powder and has potential applications in drug quality control. Due to the differences in raw materials and production processes, the quality of the same type of drug produced by different manufacturers is different. In drug supervision, determining the manufacturer can help to trace drug quality issues. In this study, a method for the quick identification of drug manufacturers based on laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) was proposed for the first time. We obtained the LIBS spectra from 12 samples of three types of penicillin (phenoxymethylpenicillin potassium tablets, amoxicillin capsules, and amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium tablets) produced by 10 manufacturers. The LIBS characteristic lines of the three types of penicillin were ranked by importance based on the decrease in the Gini index of random forest (RF). Three classifiers—the linear discriminant analysis (LDA), support vector machine (SVM) and artificial neural network (ANN)—were used to identify the different manufacturers of the three types of penicillin. RF-ANN provided the best classification result and an accuracy of 100% in penicillin manufacturer identification. The results show that LIBS combined with chemometrics could be used in the identification of penicillin manufacturers, and this method has application potential in drug quality supervision. As a popular food, Chinese yam (CY) powder is widely used for healthy and commercial purposes. Detecting adulteration of CY powder has become essential. In this work, chemometric methods combined with laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) were developed for identification and quantification of CY powder adulteration. Pure powders (CY, rhizome of winged yam (RY) and cassava (CS)) and adulterated powders (CY adulterated with CS) were pressed into pellets to obtain LIBS spectra for identification and quantification experiments, respectively. After variable number optimization by principal component analysis and random forest (RF), the best model random forest-support vector machine (RF-SVM) decreased 48.57% of the input variables and improved the accuracy to 100% in identification. Following the better feature extraction method RF, the Gaussian process regression (GPR) method performed the best in the prediction of the adulteration rate, with a correlation coefficient of prediction (Rp2) of 0.9570 and a root-mean-square error of prediction (RMSEP) of 7.6243%. Besides, the variable importance of metal elements analyzed by RF revealed that Na and K were significant due to the high metabolic activity and maximum metal content of CY powder, respectively. The effects of Al and Mo elements on the microstructure and hardness of TNM TiAl alloys (Ti-43.5Al-4Nb-1Mo-0.1B) were studied by decreasing 0.5 at.% Mo and/or increasing 1.5 at.% Al. The results showed that the changed composition of the alloy had a slight influence on the morphology, but had important effects on the volume fraction, size, and composition of each phase. All the alloys had nearly full lamellar (NL) microstructures, with a few βo phases at the boundaries of the colony or in the lamellar colony. The lamellar colony size and the lamellar spacing increased with the decrease in Mo and the increase in Al. The reduction in Mo content reduced the content of each phase in proportion, but the increase in Al content in the alloys led to the corresponding increase in Al content in the α2 and γ phases. The hardness of the alloys decreased with the increase in Al content and the decrease in Mo content. This is mainly due to the increase in lamellar spacing caused by the change in composition. Therefore, the increased content of Al and decreased Mo content are unbeneficial for the microstructure. The element distribution and the microstructures of directionally solidified ingots of Ti-45Al-8Nb and Ti-46Al-8Nb alloys were studied by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and electron probe microanalyzer (EPMA) equipped with wavelength-dispersive X-ray spectroscope (WDS). At high solidification rates, e.g., more than 50 μm/s, the ingot solidified in columnar β dendrites, while at low solidification rates, e.g., less than 30 μm/s, the solidification path changed from initial β solidification to L + β→α peritectic solidification, forming cellular dendrites with the β phase matrix surrounded by the α phase. The difference of Ti content in dendritic arms and interdendritic regions was not pronounced. The composition segregation was mainly caused by the mutual conversion of Al and Nb contents. Therefore, it was difficult to distinguish the variation of Ti in microstructure by EPMA-WDS map and line profiles. The composition of the peritectic α phase was different from that of the α phase transformed directly from the β phase. The Al content of the former was about 1 at% higher than that of the latter, while the Nb content was about 1 at% lower. The friction weldability of Ti-45Al-8.5Nb-0.2W-0.2B-0.02Y alloy has been investigated by optimizing process parameters and analyzing the microstructures and tensile properties of the joints. The as-cast alloy with a nearly lamellar (NL) microstructure and the as-forged alloys with a duplex (DP) microstructure have been successfully welded. All the joints have a severe deformation zone (SDZ) and a transition zone (TZ) between the parent metal (PM) and SDZ. SDZ, showing a biconcave lens geometry, has a maximum thickness of hundreds of micrometers at the periphery. TZ is hundreds of micrometers thick. All SDZs have a fine-grained DP microstructure with a grain size of a few micrometers. For the joint of the as-cast alloy, the TZ consists of deformed lamellar colonies as the major constituent and partially recrystallized grains as the minor constituent. For the joint of the as-forged alloy, the TZ is similar to both the PM and SDZ, showing a DP microstructure. The grain size, volume fraction of γ grains, and the remnant lamellar colonies all increase with the distance from the SDZ. All joints presented perfect metallurgical bonding. The hardware and software designed in the traditional supply chain system lack cooperation in the transmission process, have low efficiency, and lead to a large amount of information distortion.In response to this problem, this paper proposes an intelligent supply chain information system based on the Internet of Things technology. The research focuses on the hardware and software of the system. The hardware part consists of the embedded processor CS89712, Flash7861 memory, Ethernet, touch screen, and LCD (Liquid Crystal Display). The software system is based on asymmetric information theory design and is divided into signal acquisition, input signal detection, interference signal processing, and power signal output. The experimental results show that it is compared with the traditional supply chain information system. The designed system seamlessly integrates the hardware and software components to achieve maximum information supply in the shortest amount of time. The power supply capacity is four times that of the traditional system, and the node coverage is high. When the number of data nodes is 120, the traditional supply chain system is basically unable to supply, but the supply accuracy of the intelligent supply chain is still as high as 48%. Vaginal myiasis is one of the most serious parasitic diseases in Bactrian camels. At present, there are no reports on biological control measures of the disease. In this paper, the metabolomic analysis of vaginal secretions from susceptible and non-susceptible camels was performed by ACQUITY UPLC H-Class Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatograph. The results matched in 140 vaginal compounds. Methylheptenone, 1-octen-3-ol, and propyl butyrate and their mixtures were selected for gas chromatography-electroantennography (GC-EAD), electroantennography (EAG), behavioral experiments and trapping experiments of Wohlfahrtia magnifica ( W. magnifica ). Results showed that the W. magnifica had EAG responses to the three compounds, respectively. The EAG responses of female flies to different concentrations of methylheptenone were significantly different, but to the others had no significant difference, and there was no significant difference in the same compounds between the different sexes. Behavioral and trapping experiments showed that methylheptenone and 1-octen-3-ol have significant attraction to W. magnifica , but there was no significant difference to propyl butyrate. When methylheptenone and 1-octen-3-ol were mixed in different proportions, it was found that a mixture at the ratio of 1:1 and 0.5:1 had extremely significant and significant attraction, respectively, to both male and female W. magnifica . The study showed that, except for propyl butyrate, the higher the concentrations of the other two compounds, the stronger the attractivity to the W. magnifica , and a mixture at the ratio of 1:1 could enhance the attractivity to the W. magnifica .
