Wearable devices have been widely used for the home monitoring of physical activities and healthcare conditions, among which ambulatory electrocardiogram (ECG) stands out for the diagnostic cardiovascular information it contains. Continuous and unobtrusive sensing often requires the integration of wearable sensors to existing devices such as watches, armband, headphones, etc.; nonetheless, it is difficult to detect high-quality ECG due to the nature of low signal amplitude at these areas. In this paper, a high-performance system with multi-channel signal superposition for weak ECG real-time detection is proposed. Firstly, theoretical analysis and simulation is performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of this system design. The detection system, including electrode array, acquisition board, and the application (APP), is then developed and the electrical characteristics are measured. A common mode rejection ratio (CMRR) of up to 100 dB and input inferred voltage noise below 1 μV are realized. Finally, the technique is implemented in form of ear-worn and armband devices, achieving an SNR over 20 dB. Results are also compared with the simultaneous recording of standard lead I ECG. The heterogeneity and intricate cellular architecture of complex cellular ecosystems play a crucial role in the progression and therapeutic response of cancer. Understanding the regulatory relationships of malignant cells at the invasive front of the tumor microenvironment (TME) is important to explore the heterogeneity of the TME and its role in disease progression. In this study, we inferred malignant cells at the invasion front by analyzing single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) and spatial transcriptomics (ST) data of ER-positive (ER+) breast cancer patients. In addition, we developed a software pipeline for constructing intercellular gene regulatory networks (IGRNs), which help to reduce errors generated by single-cell communication analysis and increase the confidence of selected cell communication signals. Based on the constructed IGRN between malignant cells at the invasive front of the TME and the immune cells of ER+ breast cancer patients, we found that a high expression of the transcription factors FOXA1 and EZH2 played a key role in driving tumor progression. Meanwhile, elevated levels of their downstream target genes (ESR1 and CDKN1A) were associated with poor prognosis of breast cancer patients. This study demonstrates a bioinformatics workflow of combining scRNA-seq and ST data; in addition, the study provides the software pipelines for constructing IGRNs automatically (cIGRN). This strategy will help decipher cancer progression by revealing bidirectional signaling between invasive frontline malignant tumor cells and immune cells, and the selected signaling molecules in the regulatory network may serve as biomarkers for mechanism studies or therapeutic targets. Instance segmentation in remote sensing (RS) imagery aims to predict the locations of instances and represent them with pixel-level masks. Thanks to the more accurate pixel-level information for each instance, instance segmentation has enormous potential applications in resource planning, urban surveillance, and military reconnaissance. However, current RS imagery instance segmentation methods mostly follow the fully supervised paradigm, relying on expensive pixel-level labels. Moreover, remote sensing imagery suffers from cluttered backgrounds and significant variations in target scales, making segmentation challenging. To accommodate these limitations, we propose a semantic attention enhancement and structured model-guided multi-scale weakly supervised instance segmentation network (SASM-Net). Building upon the modeling of spatial relationships for weakly supervised instance segmentation, we further design the multi-scale feature extraction module (MSFE module), semantic attention enhancement module (SAE module), and structured model guidance module (SMG module) for SASM-Net to enable a balance between label production costs and visual processing. The MSFE module adopts a hierarchical approach similar to the residual structure to establish equivalent feature scales and to adapt to the significant scale variations of instances in RS imagery. The SAE module is a dual-stream structure with semantic information prediction and attention enhancement streams. It can enhance the network's activation of instances in the images and reduce cluttered backgrounds' interference. The SMG module can assist the SAE module in the training process to construct supervision with edge information, which can implicitly lead the model to a representation with structured inductive bias, reducing the impact of the low sensitivity of the model to edge information caused by the lack of fine-grained pixel-level labeling. Experimental results indicate that the proposed SASM-Net is adaptable to optical and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) RS imagery instance segmentation tasks. It accurately predicts instance masks without relying on pixel-level labels, surpassing the segmentation accuracy of all weakly supervised methods. It also shows competitiveness when compared to hybrid and fully supervised paradigms. Rubidium laser optically pumped magnetometers (OPMs) are widely used magnetic sensors based on the Zeeman effect, laser pumping, and magnetic resonance principles. They measure the magnetic field by measuring the magnetic resonance signal passing through a rubidium atomic gas cell. The quality of the magnetic resonance signal is a necessary condition for a magnetometer to achieve high sensitivity. In this research, to obtain the best magnetic resonance signal of rubidium laser OPMs in the Earth's magnetic field intensity, the experiment system of rubidium laser OPMs is built with a rubidium atomic gas cell as the core component. The linewidth and amplitude ratio (LAR) of magnetic resonance signals is utilized as the optimization objective function. The magnetic resonance signals of the magnetometer experiment system are experimentally measured for different laser frequencies, radio frequency (RF) intensities, laser powers, and atomic gas cell temperatures in a background magnetic field of 50,765 nT. The experimental results indicate that optimizing these parameters can reduce the LAR by one order of magnitude. This shows that the optimal parameter combination can effectively improve the sensitivity of the magnetometer. The sensitivity defined using the noise spectral density measured under optimal experimental parameters is 1.5 pT/Hz1/2@1 Hz. With the growing incidence of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in recent decades, the demand for out-of-hospital real-time ECG monitoring is increasing day by day, which promotes the research and development of portable ECG monitoring equipment. At present, two main categories of ECG monitoring devices are "limb lead ECG recording devices" and "chest lead ECG recording devices", which both require at least two electrodes. The former needs to complete the detection by means of a two-hand lap joint. This will seriously affect the normal activities of users. The electrodes used by the latter also need to be kept at a certain distance, usually more than 10 cm, to ensure the accuracy of the detection results. Decreasing the electrode spacing of the existing ECG detection equipment or reducing the area required for detection will be more conducive to improving the integration of the out-of-hospital portable ECG technologies. Therefore, a single-position ECG system based on charge induction is proposed to realize ECG detection on the surface of the human body with only one electrode with a diameter of less than 2 cm. Firstly, the ECG waveform detected in a single location is simulated by analyzing the electrophysiological activities of the human heart on the human body surface with COMSOL Multiphysics 5.4 software. Then, the hardware circuit design of the system and the host computer are developed and the test is performed. Finally, experiments for static and dynamic ECG monitoring are carried out and the heart rate correlation coefficients are 0.9698 and 0.9802, respectively, which proves the reliability and data accuracy of the system. Nitrogen (N) is one of the most important mineral elements for plant growth and development and a key factor for improving crop yield. Rapeseed, Brassica napus, is the largest oil crop in China, producing more than 50% of the domestic vegetable oil. However, high N fertilizer input with low utilization efficiency not only increases the production cost but also causes serious environmental pollution. Therefore, the breeding of rapeseed with high N efficiency is of great strategic significance to ensure the security of grain and oil and the sustainable development of the rapeseed industry. In order to provide reference for genetic improvement of rapeseed N-efficient utilization, in this article, we mainly reviewed the recent research progress of rapeseed N efficiency, including rapeseed N efficiency evaluation, N-efficient germplasm screening, and N-efficient physiological and molecular genetic mechanisms. In present paper, a novel flowable tritium breeder is prepared by mixing the Li2TiO3 micro-powders and liquid GaInSn alloy, where GaInSn alloy is used to simulate the fluid behaviors of lithium-based liquid tritium breeder, forming a type of composite characterized by liquid-solid dual phase. In detail, the effects of the volume fraction of ceramic micro-powders on viscosity and conductivity of the composite in magnetic field are the focus. The XRD results prove that the obtained Li2TiO3 micro-powders contained Li2TiO3 phase without impurities. The results shows that once the magnetic field intensity exceeds the critical value, the viscosity of liquid GaInSn metal becomes significantly greater than that of liquid-solid dual-phase composites. Furthermore, the addition of Li2TiO3 micro-powders could effectively reduce the magneto hydro dynamic (MHD) fluid effect, and the dual-phase composites exhibit comparatively lower flow resistance under the strong magnetic field. Moreover, the conductivity of the tritium breeder composites decreases rapidly with the addition of Li2TiO3 micro-powders. The MHD pressure-drop-increasing rate decreases with the increase of viscosity, which indicates that the addition of Li2TiO3 micro-powders effectively reduces the MHD effect. The conductivity of the composites increased slightly and then remained stable after static placing for several tens of minutes. The penetration of electric vehicles (EVs) in vehicle-to-grid (V2G) interaction can effectively assist the grid in achieving frequency regulation and peak load balancing. However, the customer perceives that participating in V2G services would result in the additional cycling of the battery and the accelerated aging of the EVs' power battery, which has become a major obstacle to the widespread adoption of V2G services. Most existing methods require long-term cycling data and battery parameters to quantify battery aging, which is not suitable for the V2G scenario with large-scale and short-time intervals. Consequently, the real-time and accurate quantification of battery aging for optimization remains a challenge. This study proposes a charging scheduling method for EVs that can accurately and online quantify battery aging. Firstly, V2G scheduling is formulated as an optimization problem by defining an online sliding window to collect real-time vehicle information on the grid, enabling online optimization. Secondly, battery aging is more accurately quantified by proposing a novel amplitude-based rain-flow cycle counting (MRCC) method, which utilizes the charging information of the battery within a shorter time period. Lastly, an intelligent optimization algorithm is employed to optimize the charging and discharging power of EVs, aiming to minimize grid fluctuations and battery aging. The proposed method is validated using a V2G scenario with 50 EVs with randomly generated behaviors, and the results demonstrate that the proposed online scheduling method not only reduces the EFCC of the battery by 8.4%, but also achieves results close to global optimization. Since engineering ceramics have many characteristics, including hardness, brittleness, and high melting point, traditional machining methods can no longer play a useful role in precision machining. Based on this situation, a platform of electrochemical discharge compound mechanical grinding was constructed and is presented in this paper, and machining experiments of micro-grooves were carried out in alumina ceramics. Grooves were observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM), and the morphology and the groove width of micro-grooves under different machining parameters were compared and analyzed. Furthermore, in order to study the improvement effect of mechanical grinding on machining quality, the surface roughness of micro-grooves was measured by a confocal material microscope. The results show that as the pulse power supply voltage increases or the frequency decreases, the width of the micro-grooves increases, and the morphology of the micro-grooves first improves and then deteriorates. With the increase of tool electrode rotation speed, the width of micro-grooves first increases and then remains unchanged, and the morphology and the surface roughness of micro-grooves first improves and then remains stable. Finally, the optimal parameters (power voltage of 20 V, pulse frequency of 400 Hz, electrode rotation speed of 600 rpm) were chosen to machine micro-grooves with good quality. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We reported a highly efficient electrochemical immunosensor utilizing chitosan–graphene nanosheets (CS-GNs) nanocomposites for the detection of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) in corn samples. The CS-GNs nanocomposites, serving as a modifying layer, provide a significant specific surface area and biocompatibility, thereby enhancing both the electron transfer rate and the efficiency of antibody immobilization. The electrochemical characterization was conducted utilizing both differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Moreover, the antibody concentration, pH, antibody immobilization time, and immunoreaction time, were optimized. The results showed that the current change ( Δ I ) before and after the immunoreaction demonstrated a strong linear relationship ( R 2 = 0.990 ) with the AFB1 concentration, as well as good specificity and stability. The linear range extended from 0.05 to 25 ng/mL, with a detection limit of 0.021 ng/mL ( S / N = 3 ). The immunosensor exhibited a recovery rate ranging from 97.3% to 101.4% in corn samples, showing a promising performance using an efficient method, and indicating a remarkable prospect for the detection of fungal toxins in grains. In this paper, a rapid and efficient method for the preparation of scopolamine hydrobromide with high purity was established, named as magnetic field-induced crystallization. Based on the difference in solubility between scopolamine and scopolamine hydrobromide, salifying crystallization was selected and then treated with the synergistic effect of magnetic field to achieve the goal of purifying scopolamine. The influence of crystallization solvents and magnetic field intensity on the crystallization process of scopolamine hydrobromide, as well as the impact of magnetic field on the crystal growth direction, were investigated. The results revealed that treatment under magnetic field led to a shortened induction time (25.64–75.46%), an increased purity of crystals (0.95–2.92%), and an enhanced recovery rate (4.51–10.78%). Furthermore, it was also discovered that magnetic field could destroy hydrogen bonds within the solution, and change the physical properties of the mother liquid, so as to promote the nucleation formation and crystal growth. Background: Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a progressive ocular ailment causing age-associated vision deterioration, characterized by dysregulated immune cell activity. Notably, follicular helper T (Tfh) cells have emerged as pivotal contributors to AMD pathogenesis. Nonetheless, investigations into Tfh-associated gene biomarkers for this disorder remain limited. Methods: Utilizing gene expression data pertinent to AMD procured from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) repository, we employed the "DESeq2" R software package to standardize and preprocess expression levels. Concurrently, CIBERSORT analysis was utilized to compute the infiltration proportions of 22 distinct immune cell types. Subsequent to weighted gene correlation network analysis (WGCNA), coupled with differential expression scrutiny, we pinpointed genes intricately linked with Tfh cells. These potential genes underwent further screening using the MCODE function within Cytoscape software. Ultimately, a judicious selection of pivotal genes from these identified clusters was executed through the LASSO algorithm. Subsequently, a diagnostic nomogram was devised based on these selected genes. Results: Evident Tfh cell disparities between AMD and control cohorts were observed. Our amalgamated analysis, amalgamating differential expression data with co-expression patterns, unveiled six genes closely associated with Tfh cells in AMD. Subsequent employment of the LASSO algo-rithm facilitated identification of the most pertinent genes conducive to predictive modeling. From these, GABRB3, MFF, and PROX1 were elected as prospective diagnostic biomarkers for AMD. Conclusions: This investigation discerned three novel biomarker genes, linked to inflammatory mechanisms and pivotal in diagnosing AMD. Among various calamities, conflagrations stand out as one of the most-prevalent and -menacing adversities, posing significant perils to public safety and societal progress. Traditional fire-detection systems primarily rely on sensor-based detection techniques, which have inherent limitations in accurately and promptly detecting fires, especially in complex environments. In recent years, with the advancement of computer vision technology, video-oriented fire detection techniques, owing to their non-contact sensing, adaptability to diverse environments, and comprehensive information acquisition, have progressively emerged as a novel solution. However, approaches based on handcrafted feature extraction struggle to cope with variations in smoke or flame caused by different combustibles, lighting conditions, and other factors. As a powerful and flexible machine learning framework, deep learning has demonstrated significant advantages in video fire detection. This paper summarizes deep-learning-based video-fire-detection methods, focusing on recent advances in deep learning approaches and commonly used datasets for fire recognition, fire object detection, and fire segmentation. Plant height, petiole length, and the angle of the leaf petiole and branch angles are crucial traits determining plant architecture and yield in soybean (Glycine max L.). Here, we characterized a soybean mutant with super-short petioles (SSP) and enlarged petiole angles (named Gmssp) through phenotypic observation, anatomical structure analysis, and bulk sequencing analysis. To identify the gene responsible for the Gmssp mutant phenotype, we established a pipeline involving bulk sequencing, variant calling, functional annotation by SnpEFF (v4.0e) software, and Integrative Genomics Viewer analysis, and we initially identified Glyma.11G026400, encoding a homolog of Anaphase-promoting complex subunit 8 (APC8). Another mutant, t7, with a large deletion of many genes including Glyma.11G026400, has super-short petioles and an enlarged petiole angle, similar to the Gmssp phenotype. Characterization of the t7 mutant together with quantitative trait locus mapping and allelic variation analysis confirmed Glyma.11G026400 as the gene involved in the Gmssp phenotype. In Gmssp, a 4 bp deletion in Glyma.11G026400 leads to a 380 aa truncated protein due to a premature stop codon. The dysfunction or absence of Glyma.11G026400 caused severe defects in morphology, anatomical structure, and physiological traits. Transcriptome analysis and weighted gene co-expression network analysis revealed multiple pathways likely involved in these phenotypes, including ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis and gibberellin-mediated pathways. Our results demonstrate that dysfunction of Glyma.11G026400 leads to diverse functional consequences in different tissues, indicating that this APC8 homolog plays key roles in cell differentiation and elongation in a tissue-specific manner. Deciphering the molecular control of petiole length and angle enriches our knowledge of the molecular network regulating plant architecture in soybean and should facilitate the breeding of high-yielding soybean cultivars with compact plant architecture. Rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) is not only one of the most important oil crops in the world, but it is also an important vegetable crop with a high value nutrients and metabolites. However, rapeseed is often severely damaged by adverse stresses, such as low temperature, pathogen infection and so on. Glyoxalase I (GLYI) and glyoxalase II (GLYII) are two enzymes responsible for the detoxification of a cytotoxic metabolite methylglyoxal (MG) into the nontoxic S-D-lactoylglutathione, which plays crucial roles in stress tolerance in plants. Considering the important roles of glyoxalases, the GLY gene families have been analyzed in higher plans, such as rice, soybean and Chinese cabbage; however, little is known about the presence, distribution, localizations and expression of glyoxalase genes in rapeseed, a young allotetraploid. In this study, a total of 35 BnaGLYI and 30 BnaGLYII genes were identified in the B. napus genome and were clustered into six and eight subfamilies, respectively. The classification, chromosomal distribution, gene structure and conserved motif were identified or predicted. BnaGLYI and BnaGLYII proteins were mainly localized in chloroplast and cytoplasm. By using publicly available RNA-seq data and a quantitative real-time PCR analysis (qRT-PCR), the expression profiling of these genes of different tissues was demonstrated in different developmental stages as well as under stresses. The results indicated that their expression profiles varied among different tissues. Some members are highly expressed in specific tissues, BnaGLYI11 and BnaGLYI27 expressed in flowers and germinating seed. At the same time, the two genes were significantly up-regulated under heat, cold and freezing stresses. Notably, a number of BnaGLY genes showed responses to Plasmodiophora brassicae infection. Overexpression of BnGLYI11 gene in Arabidopsis thaliana seedlings confirmed that this gene conferred freezing tolerance. This study provides insight of the BnaGLYI and BnaGLYII gene families in allotetraploid B. napus and their roles in stress resistance, and important information and gene resources for developing stress resistant vegetable and rapeseed oil. Hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) technology was used to carbonize and improve biomass raw material to obtain hydrochar. The effects of HTC temperature and holding time on the yield, composition, structure, combustion behavior, and safety of hydrochar were studied systematically. In addition, the results show that with the increase in HTC temperature and the prolongation of holding time, the yield of hydrochar gradually reduces, the fixed carbon content of hydrochar increases, the volatile content decreases, and a large number of ash and alkali metals enter the liquid phase and are removed. Further, the analysis of the combustion properties and the structure of hydrochar can be observed in that, as the HTC process promotes the occurrence of polymerization reactions, the specific surface area gradually reduces, the degree of carbon ordering increases, and the combustion curve moves toward the high-temperature zone and gradually approaches bituminous coal. Since biomass hydrochar has the characteristic of being carbon neutral, blast furnace injection hydrochar can reduce CO2 emissions, and every 1 kg/tHM of biomass hydrochar can reduce CO2 emissions by 1.95 kg/tHM. Simple Summary: Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), one of the most hazardous mycotoxins commonly present in food and feed, causes great loss in livestock farming and severe safety risks to human health. In this paper, benefiting from using a sterile black soldier fly larvae (BSFL) system, we found that the ability of BSFL to degrade AFB1 was greatly reduced in the absence of gut microbiota, which indicated the important role of gut microbiota in AFB1 degradation. Furthermore, twenty-five AFB1-degrading bacteria were isolated from BSFL gut, and S. acidaminiphila A2 achieved the highest AFB1 degradation, by 94%. When S. acidaminiphila A2 was re-inoculated to BSFL, the detrimental effect of AFB1 on the growth performance of BSFL was alleviated, and complete AFB1 degradation in peanut meal was obtained. The present study may provide a strategy to degrade AFB1 in feedstuff through bioconversion with BSFL in combination with gut-originated AFB1-degrading bacteria, while providing a sustainable insect protein and fat source to animals. Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) is a common mycotoxin contaminant in cereals that causes severe economic losses and serious risks to the health of humans and animals. In this paper, we investigated the characteristics of AFB1 degradation by black soldier fly larvae (BSFL) combined with commensal intestinal microorganisms. Germ-free BSFL and non-sterile BSFL were reared on peanut meal spiked with AFB1 for 10 days. The result showed that germ-free BSFL and non-sterile BSFL could achieve 31.71% and 88.72% AFB1 degradation, respectively, which indicated the important role of larvae gut microbiota in AFB1 degradation. Furthermore, twenty-five AFB1-degrading bacteria were isolated from BSFL gut, and S. acidaminiphila A2 achieved the highest AFB1 degradation, by 94%. When S. acidaminiphila A2 was re-inoculated to BSFL, the detrimental effect of AFB1 on the growth performance of BSFL was alleviated, and complete AFB1 degradation in peanut meal was obtained. This study performed a systematic experimental investigation into the structural, magnetic, and transport properties of the Co2VGa Heusler alloy, which was theoretically predicted to exhibit half-metallic ferromagnetism. It has been experimentally found that the studied alloy has a relatively high-ordered L21 cubic structure at room temperature and orders ferromagnetically below ~350 K. Interestingly, by fitting the electric transport data with the properly governing equations in two different temperature regions, the two-magnon scattering process (the T 9 / 2 dependence) appears in the temperature range from 30 to 75 K. Moreover, the magnetoresistance effect changes from a negative value to a positive value when the temperature is below 100 K. Such experimental findings provide indirect evidence that the half-metallic nature of this alloy is retained only when the temperature is below 100 K. On the other hand, the magnetic transport measurements indicate that the anomalous Hall coefficient of this alloy increases when the temperature increases and reaches a relatively high value (~8.3 μΩ·cm/T) at 300 K due to its lower saturated magnetization. By analyzing the anomalous Hall resistivity scale with the longitudinal resistivity, it was also found that the anomalous Hall effect can be ascribed to the combined effect of extrinsic skew scattering and intrinsic Berry curvature, but the latter contribution plays a dominant role. In this paper, the combustion behavior of low rank coal and its product after hydrothermal carbonization with paper sludge hydrochar were studied. The Raman technique was used to compare the structural differences between raw coal and the product. Thermogravimetric analysis was employed to conduct experiments of single sample and their mixtures with different proportions at a heating rate of 20 °C/min, the activation energy of chemical reactions was calculated. The results showed that upgraded product had higher carbon ordering degree than raw coal and the ignition temperature and burnout temperature of the product were advanced. Compared with raw coal, the combustion characteristic parameters C and S of the product were higher, indicating that its combustibility was better. As for the mixture, when the paper sludge hydrochar ratio was not more than 10%, the mixed fuel combustion curve was still similar to coal curve. After the paper sludge hydrochar ratio exceeded 10%, the activation energy of the mixed combustion reaction of paper sludge hydrochar and upgraded coal was lower than that of raw coal and paper sludge hydrochar. This study aimed to develop an effective technique for extracting total anthocyanins from purple sweet potato (Mianzishu 9) (PSP9) by ultrasound-assisted compound enzymatic extraction (UAEE). Single-factor experiments, Plackett-Burman experimental design, and response surface methodology were utilized for optimizing extraction conditions, and the antioxidant activities were evaluated. Anthocyanins were also measured using an ultra-performance liquid chromatograph linked to a mass spectrometer (UPLC-MS). The maximum yield of total anthocyanins was 2.27 mg/g under the following conditions: the ethanol concentration was 78%, the material-to-liquid ratio was 1:15 g/mL, the enzyme ratio (cellulase: pectinase: papain) was 2:2:1 and its hydrolysis was at 41 °C, pH = 4.5, 1.5 h, the ultrasonication was at 48 °C and conducted twice for 20 min each time. In addition to higher yield, anthocyanins extracted from purple sweet potato by UAEE showed great ability to scavenge DPPH (IC50 of 0.089 μg/mL) and hydroxyl radicals (IC50 of 100.229 μg/mL). Five anthocyanins were found in the purple sweet potato extract from UAEE. Vehicle dynamic parameters are of vital importance to establish feasible vehicle models which are used to provide active controls and automated driving control. However, most vehicle dynamics parameters are difficult to obtain directly. In this paper, a new method, which requires only conventional sensors, is proposed to estimate vehicle dynamic parameters. The influence of vehicle dynamic parameters on vehicle dynamics often involves coupling. To solve the problem of coupling, a two-stage estimation method, consisting of multiple-models and the Unscented Kalman Filter, is proposed in this paper. During the first stage, the longitudinal vehicle dynamics model is used. Through vehicle acceleration/deceleration, this model can be used to estimate the distance between the vehicle centroid and vehicle front, the height of vehicle centroid and tire longitudinal stiffness. The estimated parameter can be used in the second stage. During the second stage, a single-track with roll dynamics vehicle model is adopted. By making vehicle continuous steering, this vehicle model can be used to estimate tire cornering stiffness, the vehicle moment of inertia around the yaw axis and the moment of inertia around the longitudinal axis. Previous research on the effects of drought on vegetation productivity seldom distinguished the different responses of vegetation ecosystems to drought under different management practices and different land use systems. Studies investigating whether irrigation can buffer the negative impacts of drought on vegetation usually used discontinuous yield data in distribution. In this study, the trends in drought and vegetation productivity in farmlands in the drylands of northern China (DNC) from 2000 to 2018 were studied using the self-calibrated Palmer drought severity index (scPDSI) and enhanced vegetation index (EVI). The differences in the impact of drought on vegetation productivity in irrigated farmland, rainfed farmland, and natural vegetation areas were quantified. The results showed that the growing season scPDSI and EVI showed an increasing trend from 2000 to 2018. Significant correlations between drought anomalies and EVI anomalies were found in both arid drylands and semi-arid drylands. In addition, irrigation mitigated 59.66% of the negative impact caused by drought on irrigated farmland EVI in the growing season. The impact of drought on irrigated farmland EVI in the growing season was 19.98% lower than that on natural vegetation EVI. The impact of drought on natural vegetation EVI was 49.59% lower than that on rainfed farmland EVI. Random access is one of the most competitive multiple access schemes for future space-based Internet of Things (S-IoT) due to its support for massive connections and grant-free transmission, as well as its ease of implementation. However, firstly, existing random access schemes are highly sensitive to load: once the load exceeds a certain critical value, the throughput will drop sharply due to the increased probability of data collision. Moreover, due to variable satellite coverage and bursty traffic, the network load of S-IoT changes dynamically; therefore, when existing random access schemes are applied directly to the S-IoT environment, the actual throughput is far below the theoretical maximum. Accordingly, this paper proposes an intelligent load control-based random access scheme based on CRDSA++, which is an enhanced version of the contention resolution diversity slotted ALOHA (CRDSA) and extends the CRDSA concept to more than two replicas. The proposed scheme is dubbed load control-based three-replica contention resolution diversity slotted ALOHA (LC-CRDSA3). LC-CRDSA3 actively controls network load. When the load threatens to exceed the critical value, only certain nodes are allowed to send data, and the load is controlled to be near the critical value, thereby effectively improving the throughput. In order to accurately carry out load control, we innovatively propose a maximum likelihood estimation (MLE)-based load estimation algorithm, which estimates the load value of each received frame by making full use of the number of time slots in different states. On this basis, LC-CRDSA3 adopts computational intelligence-based time series forecasting technology to predict the load values of future frames using the historical load values. We evaluated the performance of LC-CRDSA3 through a series of simulation experiments and compared it with CRDSA++. Our experimental results demonstrate that in S-IoT contexts where the load changes dynamically, LC-CRDSA3 can obtain network throughput that is close to the theoretical maximum across a wide load range through accurate load control. The fabrication of micro-holes in silicon substrates that have a proper taper, higher depth-to-diameter ratio, and better surface quality has been attracting intense interest for a long time due to its importance in the semiconductor and MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical System) industry. In this paper, an experimental investigation of the machining performance of the direct and chemical-assisted picosecond laser trepanning of single crystalline silicon is conducted, with a view to assess the two machining methods. The relevant parameters affecting the trepanning process are considered, employing the orthogonal experimental design scheme. It is found that the direct laser trepanning results are associated with evident thermal defects, while the chemical-assisted method is capable of machining micro-holes with negligible thermal damage. Range analysis is then carried out, and the effects of the processing parameters on the hole characteristics are amply discussed to obtain the recommended parameters. Finally, the material removal mechanisms that are involved in the two machining methods are adequately analyzed. For the chemical-assisted trepanning case, the enhanced material removal rate may be attributed to the serious mechanical effects caused by the liquid-confined plasma and cavitation bubbles, and the chemical etching effect provided by NaOH solution. Scientists require methods to monitor the distribution of gas bubbles in gas-liquid bubble column reactors. One non-destructive method that can potential satisfy this requirement in industrial situations is ultrasonic transmission tomography (UTT). In this paper, an ultrasonic transmission tomography sensor is designed for measuring bubble distribution in a reactor. Factors that influence the transducer design include transmission energy loss, the resonance characteristics and vibration modes of the transducer, and diffusion angles of the transducers, which are discussed. For practical application, it was found that an excitation frequency of 300 kHz could identify the location and size of gas bubbles. The vibration mode and diffusion also directly affect the quality of the imaging. The geometric parameters of the transducer (a cylinder transducer with a 10 mm diameter and 6.7 mm thickness) are designed to achieve the performance requirements. A UTT system, based on these parameters, was built in order to verify the effectiveness of the designed ultrasonic transducer array. A Sector-diffusion-matrix based Linear Back Projection (SLBP) was used to reconstruct the gas/liquid two-phase flow from the obtained measurements. Two other image processing methods, based on SLBP algorithm named SLBP-HR (SLBP-Hybrid Reconstruction) and SLBP-ATF (SLBP-Adaptive Threshold Filtering), were introduced, and the imaging results are presented. The imaging results indicate that a gas bubble with a 3 mm radius can be identified from reconstructed images, and that three different flow patterns, namely, single gas bubble, double gas bubble with different diameters, and eccentric flow, can be identified from reconstructed images. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are endogenously expressed small noncoding RNAs and play critical roles in the regulation of post-transcriptional gene expression. Our previous study uncovered that chi-miR-487b-3p is widespread in different goat tissues, which is significantly higher in muscle, especially in lamb. Here, we demonstrate the role of chi-miR-487b-3p as a myogenic miRNA that regulates skeletal muscle development. chi-miR-487b-3p overexpression was demonstrated to significantly inhibit goat myoblast proliferation and differentiation, whereas chi-miR-487b-3p inhibition resulted in the opposite effects. Next, chi-miR-487b-3p was predicted to target the 3′UTR of insulin receptor substrate 1 (IRS1) gene by Target-Scan and miRDB. The results of dual-luciferase assay, RT-qPCR, and western blot all confirmed that IRS1 might be a direct target of chi-miR-487b-3p as its expression was negatively regulated by chi-miR-487b-3p. siRNA silencing of IRS1 further demonstrated significant inhibition on goat myoblast proliferation and differentiation, confirming the effect of IRS1 downregulation by chi-miR-487b-3p in myogenesis. In addition, chi-miR-487b-3p knockout goat myoblast clones were generated using CRISPR/Cas9 technology, and we further illustrated that chi-miR-487b-3p regulates goat myoblast growth through the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway by targeting IRS1. Collectively, our work demonstrated that chi-miR-487b-3p is a potent inhibitor of skeletal myogenesis and provided new insights into the mechanisms of miRNA on the regulation of goat growth. Timely and reliable estimations of crop yield are essential for crop management and successful food trade. In previous studies, remote sensing data or climate data are often used alone in statistical yield estimation models. In this study, we synthetically used agrometeorological indicators and remote sensing vegetation parameters to estimate maize yield in Jilin and Liaoning Provinces of China. We applied two methods to select input variables, used the random forest method to establish yield estimation models, and verified the accuracy of the models in three disaster years (1997, 2000, and 2001). The results show that the R2 values of the eight yield estimation models established in the two provinces were all above 0.7, Lin's concordance correlation coefficients were all above 0.84, and the mean absolute relative errors were all below 0.14. The mean absolute relative error of the yield estimations in the three disaster years was 0.12 in Jilin Province and 0.13 in Liaoning Province. A model built using variables selected by a two-stage importance evaluation method can obtain a better accuracy with fewer variables. The final yield estimation model of Jilin province adopts eight independent variables, and the final yield estimation model of Liaoning Province adopts nine independent variables. Among the 11 adopted variables in two provinces, ATT (accumulated temperature above 10 °C) variables accounted for the highest proportion (54.54%). In addition, the GPP (gross primary production) anomaly in August, NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) anomaly in August, and standardized precipitation index with a two-month scale in July were selected as important modeling variables by all methods in the two provinces. The prokaryotic Argonaute proteins (pAgos) have been reported to cleave or interfere with DNA targets in a guide-dependent or independent manner. It is often difficult to characterize pAgos in vivo due to the extreme environments favored by their hosts. In the present study, we expressed functional Thermus thermophilus pAgo (TtAgo) in E. coli BL21 (DE3) cells at 37 °C. Initial attempts to express TtAgo in BL21(DE3) cells at 37 °C failed. This was not because of TtAgo mediated general toxicity to the host cells, but instead because of TtAgo-induced loss of its expression plasmid. We employed this discovery to establish a screening system for isolating loss-of-function mutants of TtAgo. The E. colifabI gene was used to help select for full-length TtAgo loss of function mutants, as overexpression of fabI renders the cell to be resistant to the triclosan. We isolated and characterized eight mutations in TtAgo that abrogated function. The ability of TtAgo to induce loss of its expression vector in vivo at 37 °C is an unreported function that is mechanistically different from its reported in vitro activity. In this paper, a method of laser enhanced electrodeposition is used for preparation of Fe-Ni alloy, which exhibits a significant advantage in fabrication of alloys. The effect of laser energy on Fe-Ni alloy electrodeposition by the manner of reciprocating scanning is studied. Results show that laser irradiation can improve the surface morphology, micro-structure and mechanical properties of Fe-Ni alloy. Intense interest has been given to the fabrication of micro-through-holes with smaller tapering and higher aspect ratios in engineering ceramics due to their wide range of applications in MEMS and aerospace. A semi-water-immersed laser micro-trepanning (SWILT) scheme is proposed and investigated in this paper with alumina ceramics as the target material, and its performance is assessed and compared with the direct laser trepanning method. Relevant processing parameters influencing the trepanning process are explored through an orthogonally designed experiment, and their effects on hole profiles are adequately discussed to yield optimized parameters. It is revealed that SWILT is capable of producing micro-through-holes with minimized hole tapering and much straighter sidewalls compared with the direct trepanning results, whereas the ablated surface quality is relatively rougher. The micro-through-hole formation mechanisms are also amply analyzed, where the transition hole development may be purely attributed to the laser-material interaction in the direct laser trepanning condition, while the SWILT case features an enhanced material-removal rate, especially at the lower part of the through-hole. The latter is due to the strengthened mechanical effects coming from the water-confined plasma zone and the following cavitation bubble collapse, which may efficiently expel the molten material from sidewalls and result in significantly reduced hole tapering.
