Weathering processes gradually alter the physical and mechanical attributes of slope materials, weakening the structural integrity and stability of slopes. This paper presents an in-depth analysis of slope stability in an open-pit mine, emphasizing the pivotal role of weathering effects in determining slope stability. To accurately capture the impact of weathering on slope stability, a comprehensive analysis model was developed, incorporating field observations, laboratory testing, and numerical simulations. The effects of weathering on the mechanical properties of black shale were studied through extensive laboratory tests. The uniaxial compressive strength, shear strength, and modulus of elasticity significantly decreased with increasing weathering, indicating a heightened vulnerability to slope failure. The correlation function between mechanical parameters and weathering time was obtained, providing the basis for evaluating the stability of mine slopes. It was found that more severe weathering conditions were strongly correlated with elevated risks of slope failure, including landslides and collapses. Based on these findings, practical recommendations are provided for slope reinforcement and management strategies, aimed at mitigating slope failure risks and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the mine. When modelling the anchorage performance of rebars with the tri-linear law, the calculation process of the load–deformation relation is complicated. The reason is that when the rebar–grout interface entered the elastic–softening–debonding stage, the softening section length and debonding section length vary simultaneously. To solve this issue, this paper proposes an enhanced numerical calculation method. When the rebar–grout interface entered the elastic–softening–debonding stage, the softening section length was fixed to a specific value. One loop function was created to calculate the debonding section length. With this method, the number of iteration calculations significantly decreased. The credibility of this calculation method was confirmed with experimental results. Two case studies were conducted to compare the load–deformation relation obtained with the original calculation method and enhanced calculation method. The results showed that good consistency existed between the results obtained by those two methods. This finding can significantly improve the calculation efficiency when studying the anchorage performance of rebars. Due to the intricate and volatile nature of the service environment surrounding prestressing anchoring materials, stress corrosion poses a significant challenge to the sustained stability of underground reinforcement systems. Consequently, it is imperative to identify effective countermeasures against stress corrosion failure in cable bolts within deep underground environments, thereby ensuring the safety of deep resource extraction processes. In this study, the influence of various coatings on the stress corrosion resistance of cable bolts was meticulously examined and evaluated using specifically designed stress-corrosion-testing systems. The specimens were subjected to loading using four-point bending frames and exposed to simulated underground corrosive environments. A detailed analysis and comparison of the failure patterns and mechanisms of specimens coated with different materials were conducted through the meticulous observation of fractographic features. The results revealed stark differences in the stress corrosion behavior of coated and uncoated bolts. Notably, epoxy coatings and chlorinated rubber coatings exhibited superior anti-corrosion capabilities. Conversely, galvanized layers demonstrated the weakest effect due to their sacrificial anti-corrosion mechanism. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the coatings was found to be closely linked to the curing agent and additives used. The findings provide valuable insights for the design and selection of coatings that can enhance the durability and reliability of cable bolts in deep underground environments. The long overhanging distance of hard roofs and long-collapse steps induces a large area of suspension on the working face in underground coal mines, resulting in excessive pressure and deformation on the surrounding rocks of the adjacent roadway in the work face, which seriously threatens the safety of coal mining operations. In this study, in order to study the hydraulic fracturing effects on hard roofs, numerical simulation and in situ tests were conducted. The analysis and comparison of fracturing effects under different hydraulic fracturing parameters were carried out, and the reasonable hydraulic fracturing parameters of the hydraulic weakening of hard roofs were designed accordingly. Based on designed hydraulic fracturing, industrial tests were conducted in the field while stress and deformation were recorded. The results show that hydraulic fracturing could effectively reduce the pressure of the hard roof. Hydraulic fracturing effectively destroyed the cantilever beam structure above the coal pillar, reduced the stress concentration, and moderated mineral pressure at the working face. Conducting technical and economic evaluations is important for mining investment and mining operation decision-making. Traditional economic evaluation methods rarely address the issue of evaluation reliability and usually require complex calculations to obtain the optimal solution. In this study, the Rosenblueth point estimate method for reliability evaluation of engineering project schemes is introduced. Combined with the cash flow method for economic evaluation of mines, the Rosenblueth point estimate method for evaluating the reliability of mining economy is established. Based on the technical and economic index of the case mine, taking the ore grade as a sensitivity indicator, empirical research on established models and methods was carried out. The results of the economic reliability evaluation and the variation rules obtained using the Rosenblueth point estimate method model were basically consistent with the actual production and operation rules of mining enterprise. The similar results also proved that the proposed model has good applicability and reliability for mining economic evaluation. Using the proposed RPEM economic reliability model, the economic reliability of a certain iron mine in Liaoning Province was calculated to be 99.95, which was a huge improvement compared with the traditional evaluation method. Additionally, the calculation process of the proposed model for economic reliability evaluation is simple and the accuracy is controllable. The economic reliability of the project can be calculated based on changes in sensitivity indicators, and the value range of sensitivity indicators can also be calculated through the required reliability. With the normalization of epidemic prevention and control, air filters are being used and replaced more frequently. How to efficiently utilize air filter materials and determining whether they have regenerative properties have become current research hotspots. This paper discusses the regeneration performance of reduced graphite oxide filter materials, which were studied in depth using water cleaning and the relevant parameters, including the cleaning times. The results showed that water cleaning was most effective using a 20 L/(s·m2) water flow velocity with a 17 s cleaning time. The filtration efficiency decreased as the number of cleanings increased. Compared to the blank group, the filter material's PM10 filtration efficiency decreased by 0.8%, 19.4%, 26.5%, and 32.4% after the first to fourth cleanings, respectively. The filter material's PM2.5 filtration efficiency increased by 12.5% after the first cleaning, and decreased by 12.9%, 17.6%, and 30.2% after the second to fourth cleanings, respectively. The filter material's PM1.0 filtration efficiency increased by 22.7% after the first cleaning, and decreased by 8.1%, 13.8%, and 24.5% after the second to fourth cleanings, respectively. Water cleaning mainly affected the filtration efficiency of particulates sized 0.3–2.5 μm. Reduced graphite oxide air filter materials could be water washed twice and maintain cleanliness equal to 90% of the original filter material. Water washing more than twice could not achieve the standard cleanliness equal to 85% of the original filter material. With the increasing demand for resource consumption, the mining depths gradually increase, resulting in increases of temperature at tens or even hundreds of degrees. High temperature could damage to interior structures and alter the mechanical properties of rock mass. Therefore, studying the effects of temperature on dynamic mechanical properties and failure behaviors are of great significance for deep resources exploitation. In this study, to study the effects of high temperature treatment on the strength and failure behavior of typical sandstones, specimens were prepared and heated to different degrees. The longitudinal wave velocity, volume, and density of specimens before and after high-temperature treatment were examined. Then, the Thomas Hopkinson (SHPB) test was conducted on specimens with different air pressures and the dynamic stress-strain curve, peak stress, peak strain, and other dynamic characteristics were obtained. The variations regulations and failure behavior of sandstone under the effects of high-temperature treatments and different impact loads were analyzed and discussed from the aspects of stress-strain, peak strength, and peak strain. It was observed that with the increase of heating temperature, the average density, average wave velocity, peak strength, and average elastic modulus of the sandstone specimens all showed a decreasing trend and the highest decreasing rated occurred at the temperature between 600 °C and 800 °C. Food is the core of urban daily life and socio-economic activities but is rarely the focus of urban planning. The spatial layout of food retail outlets is important for optimizing the urban food system, improving land resource allocation, and encouraging healthy food consumption. Based on food retail POI data, this study employed kernel density estimation, road network centrality, spatial autocorrelation analysis, and locational entropy to analyze the spatial characteristics of supermarkets, produce markets, and small stores in an urban center in Beijing, and explored street coupling and supply-demand matching. The results indicated that within the study area: (1) supermarkets had an obvious "core-periphery" distribution, produce markets had a polycentric distribution, and small stores had a relatively uniform distribution; (2) road network centrality indices revealed a differentiated multi-core-edge distribution; (3) streets with high locational entropy values for supermarkets and produce markets were mostly concentrated in the central area, whereas the matching distribution of small stores was relatively balanced. From the perspective of urban planning, policy implications are proposed based on spatial and social equity, urban-rural differences, population structure and distribution status, and a resilient supply chain. The study findings have practical significance for guiding the development of urban food systems in a healthy, just, and sustainable direction, as well as rational urban land planning. This paper studied the bond performance of full-grouting rock bolts with a theoretical analysis. The variable controlling method was used to study the effect of parameters on the load-carrying force of bars. The results showed that when the bar diameter grew from 15 mm to 25 mm, the maximum force of the bars rose from 194 kN to 349 kN, growing by 80%. As for the stiffness, it grew by 108%. Moreover, when the elastic modulus grew from 50 GPa to 200 GPa, the maximum force rose from 229 kN to 269 kN, only growing by 17%. As for the stiffness, it grew by 100%. When the grouting length increased from 2 m to 3 m, the maximum force rose from 269 kN to 364 kN, growing by 35%. However, the grouting length had almost no effect on the stiffness. Lastly, for the bond slip when the bond strength was reached, when it grew from 1 mm to 3 mm, the maximum force dropped from 281 kN to 258 kN, dropping by 8%. As for the stiffness, it dropped by 44%. The stability of underground goaf in filling mining is dominated by the interaction mechanism of the backfill-surrounding rock combination. In order to investigate the interaction mechanism and failure characteristics of the backfill-surrounding rock combination, backfill-red sandstone combinations with three different cement–sand ratios were prepared for uniaxial compression tests. The deformation and failure characteristics of the specimens were analyzed. It was found that at the cement–sand ratio of 1:4, the backfill and red sandstone interacted with and restricted each other, and the through cracks appeared in the whole specimens, which indicated that the backfill and red sandstone can jointly resist external loads and play a role in common bearing. However, with the decrease of the cement–sand ratio, the stress mainly acts on the backfill, and the deformation observed in the backfill is large while there is no obvious rupture in the rock. Based on the failure characteristics and the stress–strain curves of the specimens, the damage constitutive relationship that can describe the failure process and deformation characteristics is proposed. Correlated with the experiment results, the damage constitutive equation is established in three stages including compaction pre-synergy stage, quasi-elastic synergy deformation stage and rupture deformation stage. The failure characteristics observed in each stage are analyzed. The research results are of great significance to accurately understanding the interaction between backfill and surrounding rock, which can be used to design and select the mixture ratio of the filling materials. Cable-bolt failures due to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) could significantly compromise the sustainability and long-term stability of underground constructions. To fully understand the SCC of cable bolts, a two-step methodology was implemented: (i) long-term cable-bolt coupon tests using mineralogical materials collected from underground mines; and (ii) accelerated full-scale cable-bolt tests using an acidified solution. In the long-term tests, a novel three-point bending coupon was designed. The effects of mineralogical materials on SCC were evaluated under the simulated underground bolting conditions through the application of "corrosion cells". For accelerated tests, SCC resistance of different type of cable bolts was examined using the new designed tensile-loading apparatus under the periodically increasing strain-rate loading mechanism. It was identified that mineralogical materials and applied stress intensity accelerated the corrosion process of the cable bolts. The number of wires and wire surface conditions in different types of cable bolt directly affected SCC susceptibility. The cable bolts with a greater number of wires provided higher resistance to SCC. The developed experimental methodologies can be applied to study SCC in other reinforcement materials and the results can be used to design optimal support systems in different environmental and geotechnical conditions.
