This paper presents the design of an intra-row obstacle avoidance shovel-type weeding machine. Theoretical analysis of intra-row weeding components guided the determination of the structures and parameters for key parts, including the signal acquisition mechanism, automatic obstacle avoidance mechanism, and weeding shovel. Furthermore, a hydraulic system was designed to support these functions. The design aims to optimize intra-row weeding operations, reduce labor costs, enhance weed control effectiveness, and prevent collisions between weeding equipment and grapevines. Through the construction of a mathematical model, the analysis determined the necessary minimum return speed of the hydraulic cylinder for the intra-row weeding shovel to avoid grapevines. We also established a reasonable range for the extension speed of the hydraulic cylinder to minimize areas missed during weeding. Further analysis showed that using the minimum return speed of the hydraulic cylinder effectively reduced missed weeding areas. A virtual prototype model of the weeding machine was created in ADAMS. Using the coverage rate of weeding operation as the evaluation index, single-factor simulation tests determined that the extension speed of the piston rod in the obstacle avoidance hydraulic cylinder and the forward speed of the weeding machine are the main influencing factors. The preset threshold of the control system, which triggered the automatic obstacle avoidance mechanism when the obstacle avoidance rod reached a specific angle (the "Angle Threshold"), was identified as a secondary influencing factor. Other factors were considered irrelevant. Hydraulic cylinder extension speed, weeding machine forward speed, and angle threshold were chosen as the influencing factors. Following the principles of a Box–Behnken experimental design, a quadratic regression combination experiment was designed using a three-factor, three-level response surface analysis method. The evaluation criterion focused on the coverage rate of weeding operation. A regression model was developed to determine the coverage rate of the weeding operation, identifying the optimal parameters as follows: obstacle avoidance hydraulic cylinder extension speed of 120 mm/s, forward speed of the weeding machine at 0.6 m/s, and an angle threshold of 18°. The optimized coverage rate of the weeding operation achieved 86.1%. This study serves as a reference for further optimization of intra-row weeding machines in vineyards and for other crops. Background: Studies have shown that the chronic use of cannabis is associated with a decrease in blood pressure. Our previous studies prove that activating the cannabinoid type 2 (CB2) receptor in the brain can effectively reduce blood pressure in spontaneously hypertensive rats; however, the exact mechanism has not been clarified. The objective of this study is to demonstrate that activation of microglial CB2 receptors can effectively reduce the levels of TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 in the paraventricular nucleus (PVN) through inhibiting aerobic glycolysis, thereby relieving hypertension. Methods: AngiotensinII (AngII) was administered to BV2 cells and C57 mice to induce hypertension and the release of proinflammatory cytokines. The mRNA and protein expression of the CB2 receptor, TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, and the PFK and LDHa enzymes were detected using RT-qPCR and Western blotting. The Seahorse XF Energy Metabolism Analyzer was used to measure the oxidative phosphorylation and aerobic glycolysis metabolic pathways in BV2 cells. The long-term effects of injecting JWH133, a selective CB2 receptor agonist, intraperitoneally on blood pressure were ascertained. ELISA was used to measure norepinephrine and lactic acid levels while immunofluorescence labeling was used to locate the CB2 receptor and c-Fos. By injecting pAAV-F4/80-GFP-mir30shRNA (AAV2-r-CB2shRNA) into the lateral cerebral ventricle, the CB2 receptor in microglia was specifically knocked down. Results: Activation of CB2 receptors by the agonist JWH133 suppressed TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 by inhibiting PFK and LDHa enzymes involved in glycolysis, as well as lactic acid accumulation, along with a reduction in glycoPER levels (marks of aerobic glycolysis) in AngII-treated BV2 cells. In AngII-treated mice, the administration of JWH133 specifically activated CB2 receptors on microglia, resulting in decreased expression levels of PFK, LDHa, TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6, subsequently leading to a decrease in c-Fos protein expression within PVN neurons as well as reduced norepinephrine levels in plasma, ultimately contributing to blood pressure reduction. Conclusion: The results suggest that activation of the microglia CB2 receptor decreases the neuroinflammation to relieve hypertension; the underlying mechanism is related to inhibiting aerobic glycolysis of microglia. Aquatic plants play a crucial role in the sustainable management of eutrophic water bodies, serving as a valuable tool for water purification. However, the effectiveness of using aquatic plants for improving water quality is influenced by landscape considerations. In practical applications, challenges arise concerning low purification efficiency and compromised aesthetic appeal when utilizing plants for water purification. To address these issues, this study aimed to examine the impact of aquatic plants on the purification of simulated landscape water bodies, specifically focusing on the effectiveness of the mosaic system of submerged–emerged plants in remediating eutrophic water bodies. Our findings indicated that individual aquatic plants exhibited limited efficacy in pollutant (total nitrogen, total phosphorus, ammonia nitrogen, and chemical oxygen demand) removal. However, when combined in appropriate proportions, submerged plants could enhance species growth and improve the purification efficiency of polluted water bodies. Notably, the mosaic system of submerged–emerged plants neither significantly promoted nor inhibited the growth of each other, but it effectively removed pollutants from the simulated water bodies and inhibited turbidity increase. The comprehensive evaluation ranked the purification capacity as Canna indica-submerged plants combination (C + S) > Thalia dealbata-submerged plants combination (T + S) > Iris pseudacorus-submerged plants combination (I + S) > Lythrum salicaria-submerged plants combination (L + S). Both C + S and T + S configurations effectively mitigated the rise of water turbidity and offered appealing landscape benefits, making them viable options for practical applications in urban landscape water bodies. Artificial intelligence not only changes the production methods of traditional industries but also provides an important opportunity to decouple industrial development from environmental degradation and promote green economic growth. In order to further explore the green value of AI, this paper constructs an indicator of industrial robot penetration at the regional level, based on the idea of Bartik's instrumental variable, and measures green development efficiency using the improved Super-SBM model. Based on a comprehensive explanation of the influence mechanism, a spatial measurement model and mediating effect model are constructed to test the spatial spillover effect and transmission mechanism between AI and green development. This study shows that (1) there is a significant inverted U shape in the impact of AI on green development; (2) the heterogeneity analysis finds that the structural dividend of AI is more obvious in capital-intensive and technology-intensive areas, which can more fully release its empowering effect on green development; (3) AI can not only directly affect green development but also indirectly affect green development by promoting green technology innovation and optimizing industrial structures, etc.; (4) AI has a significant inverted U-shaped spatial spillover effect on green development, and the development of local AI has a radiation-driven effect on the green development performance of its spatially related areas. The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of a pulsed electric field (PEF) on the structural and functional properties of quinoa protein isolate (QPI). The findings revealed a significant alteration in the secondary structure of QPI following PEF treatment, converting the random coil into the β-sheet, resulting in an improvement in structure orderliness and an enhancement of thermal stability. The PEF treatment led to a reduction in particle size, induced structural unfolding, and increased the surface hydrophobicity, resulting in a statistically significant enhancement in the solubility, foaming, and emulsifying properties of QPI (p < 0.05). Specifically, PEF treatment at 7.5 kV/cm for 30 pulses was identified as the optimal condition for modifying QPI. This study provides a basis for the precision and range of application of pulsed electric field treatment and offers the possibility of improving the physical and chemical properties of quinoa protein. Aroma components in foxtail millet are one of the key factors in origin traceability and quality control, and they are associated with consumer acceptance and the corresponding processing suitability. However, the volatile differences based on the foxtail millet varieties have not been studied further. The present study was undertaken to develop the characteristic volatile fingerprint and analyze the differences in volatile compounds of 20 foxtail millet varieties by electronic nose (E-Nose), headspace-gas chromatography-ion mobility spectrometry (HS-GC-IMS), and headspace solid-phase microextraction/gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HS-SPME/GC-MS). A total of 43 volatile compounds were tentatively identified in foxtail millet samples, 34 and 18 by GC-IMS and GC-MS, respectively. Aldehydes, alcohols, and ketones were the major volatile compounds, and the hexanal content was the highest. The characteristic volatile fingerprint of foxtail millet was successfully constructed. A total of 39 common volatile compounds were found in all varieties. The content of hexanal, heptanal, 1-pentanol, acetophenone, 2-heptanone, and nonanal were explored to explain the aroma characteristics among the different varieties, and different varieties can be separated based on these components. The results demonstrate that the combination of E-Nose, GC-IMS, and GC-MS can be a fast and accurate method to identify the general aroma peculiarities of different foxtail millet varieties. The kafirin derived from Jin Nuo 3 sorghum underwent a high-hydrostatic-pressure (HHP) treatment of 100, 300, and 600 MPa for 10 min to investigate alterations in its physicochemical attributes. The findings exhibited a reduction in protein solubility, declining from 83% to 62%, consequent to the application of the HHP treatment. However, this treatment did not lead to subunit-specific aggregation. The absorption intensity of UV light diminished, and the peak fluorescence absorption wavelength exhibited a shift from 342 nm to 344 nm, indicating an increased polarity within the amino acid microenvironment. In an aqueous solution, the specific surface area expanded from 294.2 m2/kg to 304.5 m2/kg, while the average particle-size value in a 70% ethanol solution rose to 26.3 nm. Conversely, the zeta-potential value decreased from 3.4 mV to 1.3 mV, suggesting a propensity for aggregation in ethanol solutions. A notable rise in the intermolecular β-sheet content to 21.06% was observed, along with a shift in the peak denaturation temperature from 76.33 °C to 86.33 °C. Additionally, the content of disulfide bonds increased to 14.5 μmol/g. Pixel Offset Tracking (POT) for optical imagery is a widely used method for extracting large-scale ground deformation. However, the influence of imaging parameters on the measurement accuracy of POT is still unclear. In this study, based on 16 pairs of Sentinel-2 images covering the period before and after the Ms6.9 Menyuan earthquake in 2022, we quantitatively assessed the effects of imaging bands, time intervals between image pairs, and differences in solar zenith angles on the measurement accuracy of optical POT. The results showed that the quality of ground deformation extracted using the near-infrared band was superior to other bands. The accuracy of optical POT measurements exhibited a negative correlation with both the time interval between image pairs and the differences in solar zenith angles. The maximum difference in optical POT measurement accuracy for the near-infrared band between image pairs with different time intervals (5/10/15 days) reached 30.3%, while the maximum difference in deformation measurement accuracy for pairs with different solar zenith angle differences was 30.56%. Utilizing the optimal POT image pair, the accuracy of co-seismic deformation measurement for the Menyuan earthquake improved by 48.3% compared to the worst image pair. The utilization of a novel monolithic superhydrophobic cement material effectively prevents water infiltration and enhances the longevity of the material. A method for improving superhydrophobic concrete was investigated with the aim of increasing its strength and reducing its cost by compounding superhydrophobic substances with water repellents. The experimental tests encompassed the assessment of the compressive strength, contact angle, and water absorption of the superhydrophobic cementitious materials. The findings demonstrate that an increase in the dosage of isobutyltriethoxysilane (IBTES) progressively enhances the contact angle of the specimen, but significantly diminishes its compressive strength. The contact angle of SIKS mirrors that of SIS3, with a superior compressive strength that is 68% higher. Moreover, superhydrophobicity directly influences the water absorption of cementitious materials, with a more pronounced superhydrophobic effect leading to a lower water absorption rate. The water absorption of cementitious materials is influenced by the combined effect of porosity and superhydrophobicity. Furthermore, FT−IR tests unveil functional mappings, such as -CH3 which can reduce the surface energy of materials, signifying successful modification with hydrophobic substances. Background: Breast cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in women. A noninvasive ultrasound examination can identify mammary-gland-related diseases and is well tolerated by dense breast, making it a preferred method for breast cancer screening and of significant clinical value. However, the diagnosis of breast nodules or masses via ultrasound is performed by a doctor in real time, which is time-consuming and subjective. Junior doctors are prone to missed diagnoses, especially in remote areas or grass-roots hospitals, due to limited medical resources and other factors, which bring great risks to a patient's health. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop fast and accurate ultrasound image analysis algorithms to assist diagnoses. Methods: We propose a breast ultrasound image-based assisted-diagnosis method based on convolutional neural networks, which can effectively improve the diagnostic speed and the early screening rate of breast cancer. Our method consists of two stages: tumor recognition and tumor classification. (1) Attention-based semantic segmentation is used to identify the location and size of the tumor; (2) the identified nodules are cropped to construct a training dataset. Then, a convolutional neural network for the diagnosis of benign and malignant breast nodules is trained on this dataset. We collected 2057 images from 1131 patients as the training and validation dataset, and 100 images of the patients with accurate pathological criteria were used as the test dataset. Results: The experimental results based on this dataset show that the MIoU of tumor location recognition is 0.89 and the average accuracy of benign and malignant diagnoses is 97%. The diagnosis performance of the developed diagnostic system is basically consistent with that of senior doctors and is superior to that of junior doctors. In addition, we can provide the doctor with a preliminary diagnosis so that it can be diagnosed quickly. Conclusion: Our proposed method can effectively improve diagnostic speed and the early screening rate of breast cancer. With the continuous integration of material science and bionic technology, as well as increasing requirements for the operation of robots in complex environments, researchers continue to develop bionic intelligent microrobots, the development of which will cause a great revolution in daily life and productivity. In this study, we propose a bionic flower based on the PNIPAM–PEGDA bilayer structure. PNIPAM is temperature-responsive and solvent-responsive, thus acting as an active layer, while PEGDA does not change significantly in response to a change in temperature and solvent, thus acting as a rigid layer. The bilayer flower is closed in cold water and gradually opens under laser illumination. In addition, the flower gradually opens after injecting ethanol into the water. When the volume of ethanol exceeds the volume of water, the flower opens completely. In addition, we propose a bionic Venus flytrap soft microrobot with a bilayer structure. The robot is temperature-responsive and can reversibly transform from a 2D sheet to a 3D tubular structure. It is normally in a closed state in both cold (T < 32 °C) and hot water (T > 32 °C), and can be used to load and transport objects to the target position (magnetic field strength < 1 T). The biosynthesis of anthocyanins and proanthocyanidins (PAs), components of two main flavonoids in plants, is regulated by environmental factors such as light. We previously found that bagging significantly repressed the biosynthesis of anthocyanins in red 'Ruby' mango fruit peel, but induced the accumulation of PAs. However, the molecular mechanism remains unclear. In the current study, transcriptome sequencing was used for screening the essential genes responsible for the opposite accumulation pattern of anthocyanins and PAs by bagging treatment. According to weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA), structural genes and transcription factors highly positively correlated to anthocyanins and PAs were identified. One flavanone 3-hydroxylase (F3H) and seven structural genes, including one chalcone synthase (CHS), one flavonoid 3'-hydroxylase (F3'H), one anthocyanidin synthesis (ANS), three leucoanthocyanidin reductase (LARs), and one UDP glucose: flavonoid 3-O-glucosyltransferase (UFGT), are crucial for anthocyanin and PA biosynthesis, respectively. In addition to MYB and bHLH, ERF, C2H2, HD-ZIP, and NAC are important transcription factors that participate in the regulation of anthocyanin and PA biosynthesis in 'Ruby' mango fruit peel by bagging treatment. Our results are helpful for revealing the transcription regulation mechanism of light-regulated mango anthocyanin and PA biosynthesis, developing new technologies for inducing flavonoid biosynthesis in mangos, and breeding mango cultivars containing high concentrations of flavonoids. To investigate the impact of frozen storage conditions on the physicochemical properties of soybean protein and explore the underlying mechanisms, this study focused on soybean isolate (SPI), ß-soybean companion globulin (7S), and soybean globulin (11S). The protein solutions were prepared at a concentration of 2% and subjected to freezing for 1 and 5 days. Subsequently, the protein content, physicochemical properties, secondary structure, sulfhydryl content, and chemical interaction forces were assessed and analyzed using UV spectrophotometry, Zeta potential measurements, SDS-PAGE, Fourier infrared spectroscopy, and endogenous fluorescence photoemission spectroscopy. The obtained results revealed that the solubility and total sulfhydryl content of SPI, 7S, and 11S exhibited a decreasing trend with prolonged freezing time. Among them, 11S demonstrated the largest decrease in solubility and total sulfhydryl content, followed by SPI, and 7S the least. During freezing, the aromatic amino acids of SPI, 7S, and 11S molecules were exposed, leading to increased hydrophobicity, protein aggregation, and particle size enlargement, and the structure of the protein changed from disordered structure to ordered structure. After freezing, the polarity of the microenvironment of SPI, 7S, and 11S increased, and their maximum fluorescence emission wavelengths were red-shifted. Notably, the largest red shift of SPI was from 332 nm to 335 nm. As freezing time increased, the contribution of hydrogen bonding increased, while the contribution of hydrophobic interactions decreased. This indicates that freezing affects the hydrophobic interactions, hydrogen bonding, and other chemical forces of the protein. The growth of ice crystals leads to the unfolding of protein molecular chains, exposure of internal hydrophobic groups, enhancement of hydrophobicity, and alters the secondary structure of the protein. Breast cancer is the most common malignant tumor in women and is a big challenge to clinical treatment due to the high morbidity and mortality. The pH/ROS dual-responsive nanoplatforms may be an effective way to significantly improve the therapeutic efficacy of breast cancer. Herein, we report a docetaxel (DTX)-loaded pH/ROS-responsive NP that could achieve active targeting of cancer cells and selective and complete drug release for effective drug delivery. The pH/ROS-responsive NPs were fabricated using nanocarriers that consist of an ROS-responsive moiety (4-hydroxymethylphenylboronic acid pinacol ester, HPAP), cinnamaldehyde (CA, an aldehyde organic compound with anticancer activities) and cyclodextrin (α-CD). The NPs were loaded with DTX, modified with a tumor-penetration peptide (circular RGD, cRGD) and named DTX/RGD NPs. The cRGD could promote DTX/RGD NPs penetration into deep tumor tissue and specifically target cancer cells. After internalization by cancer cells through receptor-mediated endocytosis, the pH-responsive acetal was cleaved to release CA in the lysosomal acidic environment. Meanwhile, the high ROS in tumor cells induced the disassembly of NPs with complete release of DTX. In vitro cellular assays verified that DTX/RGD NPs could be effectively internalized by 4T1 cells, obviously inducing apoptosis, blocking the cell cycle of 4T1 cells and consequently, killing tumor cells. In vivo animal experiments demonstrated that the NPs could target to the tumor sites and significantly inhibit the tumor growth in 4T1 breast cancer mice. Both in vitro and in vivo investigations demonstrated that DTX/RGD NPs could significantly improve the antitumor effect compared to free DTX. Clouds are the major source of clutter in optical remote sensing (RS) images. Approximately 60% of the Earth's surface is covered by clouds, with the equatorial and Tibetan Plateau regions being the most affected. Although the implementation of techniques for cloud removal can significantly improve the efficiency of remote sensing imagery, its use is severely restricted due to the poor timeliness of time-series cloud removal techniques and the distortion-prone nature of single-frame cloud removal techniques. To thoroughly remove thin clouds from remote sensing imagery, we propose the Saliency Cloud Matting Convolutional Neural Network (SCM-CNN) from an image fusion perspective. This network can automatically balance multiple loss functions, extract the cloud opacity and cloud top reflectance intensity from cloudy remote sensing images, and recover ground surface information under thin cloud cover through inverse operations. The SCM-CNN was trained on simulated samples and validated on both simulated samples and Sentinel-2 images, achieving average peak signal-to-noise ratios (PSNRs) of 30.04 and 25.32, respectively. Comparative studies demonstrate that the SCM-CNN model is more effective in performing cloud removal on individual remote sensing images, is robust, and can recover ground surface information under thin cloud cover without compromising the original image. The method proposed in this article can be widely promoted in regions with year-round cloud cover, providing data support for geological hazard, vegetation, and frozen area studies, among others. Aim: The cardiac toxicity that occurs during administration of anti-tumor agents has attracted increasing concern. Fluoropyrimidines have been used for more than half a century, but their cardiotoxicity has not been well clarified. In this study, we aimed to assess the incidence and profile of fluoropyrimidine-associated cardiotoxicity (FAC) comprehensively based on literature data. Methods: A systematic literature search was performed using PubMed, Embase, Medline, Web of Science, and Cochrane library databases and clinical trials on studies investigating FAC. The main outcome was a pooled incidence of FAC, and the secondary outcome was specific treatment-related cardiac AEs. Random or fixed effects modeling was used for pooled meta-analyses according to the heterogeneity assessment. PROSPERO registration number: (CRD42021282155). Results: A total of 211 studies involving 63,186 patients were included, covering 31 countries or regions in the world. The pooled incidence of FAC, by meta-analytic, was 5.04% for all grades and 1.5% for grade 3 or higher. A total of 0.29% of patients died due to severe cardiotoxicities. More than 38 cardiac AEs were identified, with cardiac ischemia (2.24%) and arrhythmia (1.85%) being the most frequent. We further performed the subgroup analyses and meta-regression to explore the source of heterogeneity, and compare the cardiotoxicity among different study-level characteristics, finding that the incidence of FAC varied significantly among different publication decades, country/regions, and genders. Patients with esophagus cancer had the highest risk of FAC (10.53%), while breast cancer patients had the lowest (3.66%). The treatment attribute, regimen, and dosage were significantly related to FAC. When compared with chemotherapeutic drugs or targeted agents, such a risk was remarkably increased (χ2 = 10.15, p < 0.01; χ2 = 10.77, p < 0.01). The continuous 5-FU infusion for 3–5 consecutive days with a high dosage produced the highest FAC incidence (7.3%) compared with other low-dose administration patterns. Conclusions: Our study provides comprehensive global data on the incidence and profile of FAC. Different cancer types and treatment appear to have varying cardiotoxicities. A serious problem currently facing the field of wound healing is bacterial infection, especially Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) infection. Although the application of antibiotics has achieved good effects, their irregular use has resulted in the emergence of drug-resistant strains. It is thus the purpose of this study to analyze whether the naturally extracted phenolic compound, juglone, can inhibit S. aureus in wound infection. The results show that the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of juglone against S. aureus was 1000 μg/mL. Juglone inhibited the growth of S. aureus by inhibiting membrane integrity and causing protein leakage. At sub-inhibitory concentrations, juglone inhibited biofilm formation, the expression of α-hemolysin, the hemolytic activity, and the production of proteases and lipases of S. aureus. When applied to infected wounds in Kunming mice, juglone (50 μL juglone with a concentration of 1000 μg/mL) significantly inhibited the number of S. aureus and had a significant inhibitory effect on the expression of inflammatory mediators (TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-1β). Moreover, the juglone-treated group promoted wound healing. At the same time, in animal toxicity experiments, juglone had no obvious toxic effects on the main tissues and organs of mice, indicating that juglone has good biocompatibility and has the potential to be used in the treatment of wounds infected with S. aureus. Oblique lumbar interbody fusion (OLIF) has been driven to the maturity stage in recent years. However, postoperative symptoms such as thigh paresthesia resulting from intraoperative retraction of the psoas major (PM) have sometimes occurred. The aim of this study was to assess the different positions and morphology of PM muscles and their relationship with clinical outcomes after OLIF by introducing the Moro zones. Patients who underwent L4-5 OLIF at our institution between April 2019 and June 2021 were reviewed and all data were recorded. All patients were grouped by Moro zones into a Moro A cohort and a Moro I and II cohort based on the front edges of their left PM muscles. A total of 94 patients were recruited, including 57 in the Moro A group and 37 in the Moro I and II group. Postoperative thigh pain or numbness occurred in 12 (21.1%) and 2 (5.4%) patients in the Moro A group and the Moro I and II group, respectively. There was no difference in the psoas major transverse diameter (PMTD) between groups preoperatively, while longer PMTD was revealed postoperatively in the Moro A group. The operating window (OW) and psoas major sagittal diameter (PMSD) showed significant differences within and between groups. Thirteen patients had teardrop-shaped PM muscles, with 92.3% in the Moro A group showing significantly worse clinical scores at 1-week follow-up. The Moro zones of the PM affected the short-term outcomes after OLIF. We conducted a systematic review of cohort studies comparing the risk of heart failure in people with differing metabolic health and obesity statuses. We searched three electronic databases (PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus), where the studies of the relationships of metabolic health and obesity statuses with heart failure were included. Fixed-effects or random-effects models were used to estimate the summary relative risks [RRs]. Ten cohort studies were selected. Compared with individuals with normal metabolic health and body mass, the pooled RRs (95% confidence intervals) for heart failure were 1.23 (1.17, 1.29) for metabolic healthy overweight individuals, 1.52 (1.40, 1.64) for metabolic healthy individuals with obesity, 1.56 (1.30, 1.87) for metabolically unhealthy normal-weight individuals, 1.75 (1.55, 1.98) for metabolically unhealthy overweight individuals, and 2.28 (1.96, 2.66) for metabolic unhealthy individuals with obesity. A sensitivity analysis suggested that no single study had a substantial effect on the results. The Egger's and Begg's tests showed no evidence of publication bias. People with overweight or obesity were at a higher risk of heart failure, even if metabolically healthy. In addition, compared with metabolically healthy normal-weight individuals; metabolically unhealthy normal-weight individuals, and those with overweight or and obesity, were at higher risk of heart failure. Lys significantly inhibited the expression of Hla at sub-inhibitory concentrations and directly interacted with Hla to interfere with its oligomerization and thus significantly inhibited its hemolytic activity. Notably, Lys attenuated S. aureus damage to mouse small intestine and Caco-2 cells and delayed mouse mortality. In the food model, Lys inhibited the expression of Hla of S. aureus and had no significant effect on the sensory score. Moreover, Lys had no obvious damage effect on the main organs of mice, which indicated that Lys has good biocompatibility and has the potential to be used in the food industry as an anti-S. aureus preparation. Foxtail millet has been traditionally considered to possess gastroprotective effects, but studies evaluating its use as a treatment for gastric ulcers are lacking. Here, we assessed the antiulcer effects of foxtail millet protein hydrolysate (FPH) and explored its mechanism by using blocking agents. In a mouse model of ethanol-induced gastric ulcers, pretreatment with FPH reduced the ulcerative lesion index, downregulated the expression of inflammatory cytokines in the gastric tissue, increased the activity of antioxidant enzymes, and improved the oxidative status. FPH increased constitutive the activity of nitric oxide synthase (cNOS), NO levels, and mucin expression in gastric mucosa, and inhibited the activation of the ET-1/PI3K/Akt pathway. In a mouse model of pyloric ligation-induced gastric ulcers, FPH inhibited gastric acid secretion and decreased the activity of gastric protease. Pretreatment of mice with the sulfhydryl blocker NEM and the NO synthesis inhibitor L-NAME abolished the gastroprotective effect of FPH, but not the KATP channel blocker glibenclamide and the PGE2 synthesis blocker indomethacin. Among the peptides identified in FPH, 10 peptides were predicted to have regulatory effects on the gastric mucosa, and the key sequences were GP and PG. The results confirmed the gastroprotective effect of FPH and revealed that its mechanism was through the regulation of gastric mucosal mucus and NO synthesis. This study supports the health effects of a millet-enriched diet and provides a basis for millet protein as a functional food to improve gastric ulcers and its related oxidative stress. Goldfish are one of the most popular models for studying the genetic diversity of skin color. Transcriptome sequencing (RNA-seq) and whole genome bisulfate sequencing (WGBS) of skin tissues from the third filial (F3) cyan (CN), black (BK), and white (WH) goldfish were conducted to analyze the molecular mechanism of color transformation in fish. The RNA-seq yielded 56 Gb of clean data and 56,627 transcripts from nine skin samples. The DEGs (differentially expressed genes) were enriched in cell junction cellular components and the tight junction pathway. Ninety-five homologs of the claudin family were predicted and 16 claudins were identified in correlation with skin color transformation. WGBS yielded 1079 Gb of clean data from 15 samples. Both the DEGs and the DMRs (differentially methylated regions) in the BK_CN group were found to be enriched in cytoskeleton reorganization and vesicle trafficking. Masson staining and TEM (transmission electron microscopy) confirmed the varied distribution and processes of melanosome/melanin in skin tissues. Our results suggested that cytoskeleton reorganization, cell junction, and the vesicle trafficking system played key roles in the transfer of the melanosome/melanin, and it was the extracellular translocation rather than the biosynthesis or metabolism of the melanin process that resulted in the color transformation of cyan goldfish. Jinqiao II, a newly cultivated variety of tartary buckwheat (Fagopyrum tataricum), has been reported to exhibit a higher yield and elevated levels of functional compounds compared to traditional native breeds. We aimed to investigate the potential of Jinqiao II tartary buckwheat to alleviate lipid metabolism disorders by detecting serum biochemistry, pathological symptoms, gene expression profiling, and gut microbial diversity. C57BL/6J mice were provided with either a normal diet; a high-fat diet (HFD); or HFD containing 5%, 10%, and 20% buckwheat for 8 weeks. Our results indicate that Jinqiao II tartary buckwheat attenuated HFD-induced hyperlipidemia, fat accumulation, hepatic damage, endotoxemia, inflammation, abnormal hormonal profiles, and differential lipid-metabolism-related gene expression at mRNA and protein levels in response to the dosages, and high-dose tartary buckwheat exerted optimal outcomes. Gut microbiota sequencing also revealed that the Jinqiao II tartary buckwheat elevated the level of microbial diversity and the abundance of advantageous microbes (Alistipes and Alloprevotella), lowered the abundance of opportunistic pathogens (Ruminococcaceae, Blautia, Ruminiclostridium, Bilophila, and Oscillibacter), and altered the intestinal microbiota structure in mice fed with HFD. Variable-rate spray systems with canopy leaf area density information detection are an important approach to reducing pesticide usage in orchard management. In order to estimate the canopy leaf area density using ultrasonic sensors, this article proposed three parameter model equations based on ultrasonic echo peaks for canopy leaf area density estimation and verified the accuracy of the three parameter model equations using laboratory-simulated canopy and outdoor tree experiments. The orthogonal regression statistics results from the laboratory-simulated canopy experiment indicated that parameter V c is more suitable for canopy leaf area density estimation compared to parameter V a and V b when the density ranges from 0.54 to 5.4 m 2 m − 3 . The model equation from parameter V c has minor systematic errors, and the predicted and observed values of parameter V c have good agreement with the experimental conditions. The laboratory-simulated canopy and outdoor tree canopy leaf area density verification experiments of parameter V c were carried out, and the results indicated that the absolute value of the mean relative error is 5.37% in the laboratory-simulated canopy and 2.84% in outdoor tree experiments. The maximum absolute value of the relative error is 8.61% in the laboratory-simulated canopy and 14.71% in the outdoor tree experiments, and the minimum absolute value of the relative error is 3.21% in the laboratory-simulated canopy and 0.56% in the outdoor tree experiments. The laboratory-simulated canopy leaf area density verification results showed that the mean relative errors under canopy leaf area density 0.98 and 4.92 m 2 m − 3 conditions are 6.29% and 5.82%, respectively, which is larger than the mean relative error under 2.95 m 2 m − 3 ; nevertheless, these results proved that this model equation is applicable for canopy information detection and advanced pesticide application development in future. The locomotor behavior of creatures in nature can bring a lot of inspiration for the fabrication of soft actuators. In this paper, we fabricated a bionic light-driven swimming soft robot that can perform grasping of tiny objects and achieve the task of object transfer. By adding carbon nanotubes (CNTs), the temperature-sensitive hydrogels can be endowed with light-responsive properties. The fabricated composite hydrogel structure can control the contraction and expansion of volume by light, which is similar to the contraction and diastole behavior of muscles. The oscillation of the fish tail and the grasping action of the normally closed micromanipulator can be achieved by the control of the irradiation of the xenon light source. The bending of the bionic arm can be controlled by the irradiation of a near-infrared (NIR) laser, which transforms the spatial position and posture of the micromanipulator. The proposed scheme is feasible for miniaturized fabrication and application of flexible actuators. The single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) rs4148727 in ABCB1 (encoding p-glycoprotein) is associated with lipid levels; however, its association with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) and its the genetic correlation with lipid profiles and T2DM are unclear. We included 2300 participants from 593 families. A generalized estimating equations (GEE) model and Cox regression models were used to estimate the SNP's effects on T2DM and lipid profiles. The participation of the SNP in T2DM pathogenesis through lipid-associated pathways was tested using mediation analysis. The G allele of the SNP was related to a 32% (6–64%, p = 0.015) increase in T2DM risk. It was also associated with a 10% (1–20%, p = 0.029), 17% (3–32%, p = 0.015), and 4% (1–7%, p = 0.015) increment in total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), and apolipoprotein A (Apo-A) concentrations, respectively. According to the mediation analysis, only TG (6.9%) and Apo-B (4.0%) had slight but significant mediation effects on the total impact of the SNP on T2DM. The dynamic evaporation of single droplets was investigated under controlled conditions. In the evaporation process, a droplet was placed on a peach leaf surface. In this research, the relative humidity and temperature were kept constant, and the wind speeds and thiophanate-methyl concentrations varied. Based on these conditions, this study aimed to determine the droplets' dynamic transforming characteristics, including the contact angle, the height of the droplets, and the evaporation rate. Five concentrations and five wind speeds were chosen, and pure water droplets at different wind speeds were used as a control group. All single droplets were generated by a syringe. The results showed that the pure water and thiophanate-methyl droplets' evaporation mode was CCR (constant contact radius) mode. An increase in the wind speed accelerated the evaporation process, when the wind speed was 0 m/s, the evaporation was the longest, and the shortest evaporation was achieved with 2.0 m/s wind speed. An increase in wind speed enhanced the pure water droplets' dynamic evaporation process with a maximum enhancement ratio of 3.44 times in the present work. Under the same conditions, the thiophanate-methyl droplets' evaporation time was shorter than that of the pure water droplets. For thiophanate-methyl droplets, the higher the concentration, the shorter the dynamic evaporation process. A 1250 ppm thiophanate-methyl solution with 2.0 m/s wind speed, had an evaporation ratio that was 2.83 times greater than that measured with 0 m/s wind speed. These results could benefit farmers by suggesting that they should adjust the concentration of thiophanate-methyl depending on the wind speed in order to reduce pollution. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The combined pollution of heavy metals and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons is very common in China and needs urgent addressal. The use of resistant garden plants for phytoremediation accounts for both ecological restoration and ornamental value and has great application potential. In this study, cadmium (Cd) and pyrene (Pyr) were used as contaminants, and the growth responses, enrichment characteristics, and physiological responses of common garden plants were studied using greenhouse pot experiments. The Cd-Pyr compound stress affected the growth responses of plants. Chinese Pennisetum and lotus exhibited the best Cd-Pyr removal effect: the removal rates of Cd were 68.91% and 60.25%, respectively, and those of Pyr were 77.52% and 63.74%, respectively. Compound stress promoted the protective enzymes of ryegrass, lotus, and Chinese Pennisetum. Malondialdehyde (MDA) content in the leaves of the five plants was higher than that in the control group, whereas the chlorophyll and carotenoid content were lower. The metabolomics approach has proved to be promising in achieving non-targeted screening for those unknown and unexpected (U&U) contaminants in foods, but data analysis is often the bottleneck of the approach. In this study, a novel metabolomics analytical method via seeking marker compounds in 50 pharmaceutical and personal care products (PPCPs) as U&U contaminants spiked into lettuce and maize matrices was developed, based on ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometer (UHPLC-MS/MS) output results. Three concentration groups (20, 50 and 100 ng mL−1) to simulate the control and experimental groups applied in the traditional metabolomics analysis were designed to discover marker compounds, for which multivariate and univariate analysis were adopted. In multivariate analysis, each concentration group showed obvious separation from other two groups in principal component analysis (PCA) and orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) plots, providing the possibility to discern marker compounds among groups. Parameters including S-plot, permutation test and variable importance in projection (VIP) in OPLS-DA were used for screening and identification of marker compounds, which further underwent pairwise t-test and fold change judgement for univariate analysis. The results indicate that marker compounds on behalf of 50 PPCPs were all discovered in two plant matrices, proving the excellent practicability of the metabolomics approach on non-targeted screening of various U&U PPCPs in plant-derived foods. In the process of applying plant protection sprays, the atomisation process of complex pesticide components such as emulsion pesticides is different from that of water. Indeed, emulsion is often used as an additive to spray to reduce drift. Therefore, this study investigated the different morphological characteristics that occur between emulsions and water during atomisation at different pressures through visualisation experiments and interpreting the formation of structural differences between the two fragmentation mechanisms. The effect of liquid sheet structure on droplet size distribution was analysed in three-dimensional space, not only from one spatial perspective, but how it alters the morphological structures of liquid sheet leading to different potential droplet drift characteristics. It was found that the smaller the liquid sheet disturbance, the more concentrated the droplet size distribution, the more intense the liquid sheet disturbance, the more dispersed the droplet size distribution. The addition of 0.02% emulsion significantly reduced the proportion of V100 (the ratio of volume with drops smaller than 100 μm to the total volume of all droplets) from 21.33% to 10.24%, and the higher the emulsion concentration, the smaller the V100. The use of the conventional interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) to generate digital elevation models (DEMs) always encounters phase unwrapping (PU) errors in areas with a sizeable topographic gradient. Range split-spectrum interferometry (RSSI) can overcome this issue; however, it loses the spatial resolution of the SAR image. We propose the use of the RSSI-assisted In-SAR-derived DEM (RID) method to address this challenge. The proposed approach first applies the RSSI method to generate a prior DEM, used for simulating terrain phases. Then, the simulated terrain phases are subtracted from the wrapped InSAR phases to obtain wrapped residual phases. Finally, the residual phases are unwrapped by the minimum cost flow (MCF) method, and the unwrapped residual phases are added to the simulated phases. Both the simulated and TerraSAR-X data sets are used to verify the proposed method. Compared with the InSAR and RSSI methods, the proposed approach can effectively decrease the PU errors of large gradients, ensure data resolution, and guarantee the DEM's accuracy. The root mean square error between the topographic phase simulated from the real DEM and the topographic phase generated from the proposed method is 2.22 rad, which is significantly lower than 6.60 rad for InSAR, and the improvement rate is about 66.36%. Inorganic phosphate (Pi) is taken up by plant roots and translocated via phosphate transporters. Previously, we showed that phosphate transporter OsPHT1;4 in the PHT1 family participates in phosphate acquisition and mobilization; it facilitates the embryo development of Japonica rice Nipponbare. This study investigated the potential of manipulating the expression of OsPHT1;4 to increase Pi acquisition efficiency and crop productivity in rice cv. Wuyunjing 7 (WYJ 7), a cultivar widely grown in Yangtze River Delta of China. The OsPHT1;4 overexpression lines and wild-type WYJ 7 were treated under different Pi conditions in hydroponic and field experiments. Quantitative real-time RT-PCR analysis and the transgenic plants expressing GUS reporter gene indicate strong expression of OsPHT1;4 in roots and leaf collars of cv. WYJ 7. The total P contents in shoots of the OsPHT1;4-overexpressing plants were significantly higher under Pi-deficient hydroponic conditions than the wild type under Pi sufficiency and deficiency. 33Pi uptake and translocation assays confirmed the results. In the field condition, OsPHT1;4 overexpression lines had a higher P concentration in tissues than the wild type control, and the panicle performance of the overexpression lines including the grain yield was improved as well. Taken together, our results show that OsPHT1;4 plays an important role in the acquisition and mobilization of Pi in WYJ 7, especially under Pi deficiency. Thaw consolidation of degrading permafrost is a serious hazard to the safety and operation of infrastructure. Monitoring thermal changes in the active layer (AL), the proportion of the soil above permafrost that thaws and freezes periodically, is critical to understanding the conditions of the top layer above the permafrost and regulating the construction, operation, and maintenance of facilities. However, this is a very challenging task using ground-based methods such as ground-penetrating radar (GPR) or temperature sensors. This study explores the integration of interferometric measurements from high-resolution X-band Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images and volumetric water content (VWC) data from SoilGrids to quantify detailed spatial variations in active layer thickness (ALT) in Iqaluit, the territorial capital of Nunavut in Canada. A total of 21 SAR images from COSMO Sky-Med (CSK) were first analyzed using the freely connected network interferometric synthetic aperture radar (FCNInSAR) method to map spatial and temporal variations in ground surface subsidence in the study area. Subsequently, we built an ALT retrieval model by introducing the thaw settlement coefficient, which takes soil properties and saturation state into account. The subsidence measurements from InSAR were then integrated with VWC extracted from the SoilGrids database to estimate changes in ALT. For validation, we conducted a comparison between estimated ALTs and in situ measurements in the airport sector. The InSAR survey identifies several sites of ground deformation at Iqaluit, subsiding at rates exceeding 80 mm/year. The subsidence rate changes along the runway coincide with frost cracks and ice-wedge furrows. The obtained ALTs, ranging from 0 to 5 m, vary significantly in different sediments. Maximum ALTs are found for rock areas, while shallow ALTs are distributed in the till blanket (Tb), the intertidal (Mi) sediments, and the alluvial flood plain (Afp) sediment units. The intersection of taxiway and runway has an AL thicker than other parts in the glaciomarine deltaic (GMd) sediments. Our study suggests that combining high-resolution SAR imagery with VWC data can provide more comprehensive ALT knowledge for hazard prevention and infrastructure operation in the permafrost zone. Mapping the outlines of glaciers has primarily relied on the interpretation of satellite optical images. However, the accurate delineation of glaciers in complex terrain mountain regions remains challenging, mainly because the supraglacial debris-covered ablation zones and snow-covered accumulation zones often exhibit the same spectral properties as their adjacent grounds in optical images. This study presents a novel approach by exploring both the satellite synthetic aperture radar (SAR) amplitude and interferometric coherence to map mountain glaciers. This method explores the deviation of the glacier surface signal in the SAR time series to distinguish glacier ice from the surrounding stable ground. To this end, we explored the classifying capabilities of two indices from a set of SAR images, SAR interferometric coherence and amplitude deviation index (ADI), to determine glacier boundary. We found that the two indices complement each other for mapping glaciers. A ratio map based on ADI and SAR coherence (ACR) was then derived, from which the glacier outline was automatically tracked using a specified threshold, followed by manual modification. We validated this approach on two typical valley glaciers, the debris-covered Hailuogou Glacier and debris-free Mozigou Glacier, in Mount Gongga in the southeastern Tibetan Plateau. The results show that the proposed ACR criteria can significantly enhance the contrast between glaciers and their surroundings. By comparing our results with manually delineated glacier outlines from high-resolution cloud-free satellite optical imagery, we found that the misclassification rate and difference rate for our results were 2.6% and 4.2%, respectively. The approach presented in this study can be easily adapted to map the outlines of mountain glaciers worldwide efficiently and is useful for inferring glacier boundary changes in a climate warming context. In this study, the nanogrinding process for single-crystal nickel was investigated using a molecular dynamics simulation. A series of simulations were conducted with different tool radii and grinding methods to explore the effects of chip morphology, friction forces, subsurface damage, and defect evolution on the nanogrinding process. The results demonstrate that the workpiece atoms at the back of the tool were affected by the forward stretching and upward elastic recovery when no chips were produced. Although the machining depth was the smallest, the normal force was the largest, and dislocation entanglement was formed. The small number of defect atoms indicates that the extent of subsurface damage was minimal. Moreover, when spherical chips were produced, a typical columnar defect was generated. The displacement vector of the chip atoms aligned with the machining direction and as the chips were removed by extrusion, the crystal structure of the chip atoms disintegrated, resulting in severe subsurface damage. By contrast, when strip chips were produced, the displacement vector of the chip atoms deviated from the substrate, dislocation blocks were formed at the initial stage of machining, and the rebound-to-depth ratio of the machined surface was the smallest. As an important means of reducing carbon emissions, environmental regulation and green technology innovation have become a top research topic in academia in recent years. Existing studies have investigated the phenomenon of green technology innovation responses to carbon emissions, but there is less existing literature explaining this phenomenon from a spatial perspective and exploring the effect of the joint mechanism of carbon emissions and environmental regulation on green technology innovation. Based on the spatial econometric model, this study used the panel data of 41 cities in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration from 2010 to 2019, to measure the impact of environmental regulation and carbon emissions on green technology innovation from the perspective of spatial interaction. The findings are as follows: green technology innovation in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration shows a trend of "high in the east and low in the west" and has spatial autocorrelation; green technology innovation responds positively to changes in environmental regulations and carbon emissions and, by decomposing the spatial effects, it can be observed that there is a spatial spillover effect of environmental regulations and carbon emissions on green technology innovation in the surrounding areas; there is a substitution effect between environmental regulations and carbon emissions. In alpine regions, the durability of asphalt pavement is worse due to the harsh climate. However, crumb rubber modified asphalt has the potential to improve the durability of pavement. Based on matrix asphalt, crumb rubber, Trans-Polyoctenamer Rubber Reactive Modifier (TOR), and an orthogonal test, the preparation scheme of crumb rubber modified asphalt suitable for alpine regions was obtained. The crumb rubber was selected 30 mesh, and the content of crumb rubber was 24% of the quality of matrix asphalt. Shearing time was 60 min, and preparation temperature was 205 °C. Shearing rate was 5000 r/min, and optimum TOR content was set as 4.5% of the quality of crumb rubber. The temperature susceptibility of matrix asphalt (JZ), crumb rubber modified asphalt (AR), crumb rubber modified asphalt mixed with TOR (TAR) was investigated. The high temperature performance indexes, including phase angle, the complex modulus index, and rutting factor, and the low temperature performance indexes including creep rate and stiffness modulus, the ratio of creep rate and stiffness modulus, Burgers model parameters, dissipated energy ratio, and the derivative of creep compliance were analyzed in depth with multiple parameters. Meanwhile, the mechanisms of prepared AR and TAR were explored. The results indicate that the PG grading is PG64-22 of JZ, PG70-34 of AR, and PG82-28 of TAR. The deformation resistance of TAR at high temperature is superior to AR. The addition of crumb rubber not only improves the temperature susceptibility, but also enhances its viscoelasticity at low temperatures. After the crumb rubber swell in the asphalt system, the network structures are crosslinked and the physical and chemical effects are produced, such as cracking and repolymerization in the asphalt system. TOR can further enhance the swelling and network crosslinking effects of rubber-asphalt. The TAR has the strongest weather resistance. The severity of the 2007–2008 economic crisis and the spatial heterogeneity of its impact have accelerated the study of regional economic resilience. The economic crisis has affected most parts of the world, and its impact is highly heterogeneous within China. The aim of this study was to explore the determinants of regional economic resilience across 284 Chinese cities from 2003–2018. Both nation-based and province-based regional economic resilience were examined. A multilevel logistic regression model was established, finding a disparity of provincial effects on regional performance during the economic crisis. Regional economic resilience is significantly affected by provincial trajectories, economy size, and resources. There are five significant determinants of economic resilience: income inequality, innovation, government intervention, human capital, and financial development. The results provide evidence for the government to design region-based policies, taking into consideration the size and the resources of the region's economy to build a resilient wall to defend against external shocks and to form a basis for sustainable development. Tissue engineering provides a powerful solution for current organ shortages, and researchers have cultured blood vessels, heart tissues, and bone tissues in vitro. However, traditional top-down tissue engineering has suffered two challenges: vascularization and reconfigurability of functional units. With the continuous development of micro-nano technology and biomaterial technology, bottom-up tissue engineering as a promising approach for organ and tissue modular reconstruction has gradually developed. In this article, relevant advances in living blocks fabrication and assembly techniques for creation of higher-order bioarchitectures are described. Active rock glaciers (ARGs) are important permafrost landforms in alpine regions. Identifying ARGs has mainly relied on visual interpretation of their geomorphic characteristics with optical remote sensing images, while mapping ARGs from their kinematic features has also become popular in recent years. However, a thorough comparison of geomorphic- and kinematic-based inventories of ARGs has not been carried out. In this study, we employed a multi-temporal interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) technique to derive the mean annual surface displacement velocity over the Daxue Shan, Southeast Tibet Plateau. We then compiled a rock glacier inventory by synergistically interpreting the InSAR-derived surface displacements and geomorphic features based on Google Earth images. Our InSAR-assist kinematic-based inventory (KBI) was further compared with a pre-existing geomorphic-based inventory (GBI) of rock glaciers in Daxue Shan. The results show that our InSAR-assist inventory consists of 344 ARGs, 36% (i.e., 125) more than that derived from the geomorphic-based method (i.e., 251). Only 32 ARGs in the GBI are not included in the KBI. Among the 219 ARGs detected by both approaches, the ones with area differences of more than 20% account for about 32% (i.e., 70 ARGs). The mean downslope velocities of ARGs calculated from InSAR are between 2.8 and 107.4 mm∙a−1. Our comparative analyses show that ARGs mapping from the InSAR-based kinematic approach is more efficient and accurate than the geomorphic-based approach. Nonetheless, the completeness of the InSAR-assist KBI is affected by the SAR data acquisition time, signal decorrelation, geometric distortion of SAR images, and the sensitivity of the InSAR measurement to ground deformation. Foodborne Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) has attracted widespread attention due to its foodborne infection and food poisoning in human. Shikonin exhibits antibacterial activity against a variety of microorganisms, but there are few studies on its antibacterial activity against S. aureus. This study aims to explore the antibacterial activity and mechanism of shikonin against foodborne S. aureus. The results show that the minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) and the minimum bactericidal concentrations (MBCs) of shikonin were equal for all tested strains ranging from 35 μg/mL to 70 μg/mL. Shikonin inhibited the growth of S. aureus by reducing intracellular ATP concentrations, hyperpolarizing cell membrane, destroying the integrity of cell membrane, and changing cell morphology. At the non-inhibitory concentrations (NICs), shikonin significantly inhibited biofilm formation of S. aureus, which was attributed to inhibiting the expression of cidA and sarA genes. Moreover, shikonin also markedly inhibited the transcription and expression of virulence genes (sea and hla) in S. aureus. In addition, shikonin has exhibited antibacterial ability against both planktonic and biofilm forms of S. aureus. Importantly, in vivo results show that shikonin has excellent biocompatibility. Moreover, both the heat stability of shikonin and the antimicrobial activity of shikonin against S. aureus were excellent in food. Our findings suggest that shikonin are promising for use as a natural food additive, and it also has great potential in effectively controlling the contamination of S. aureus in food and reducing the number of illnesses associated with S. aureus. Vegetation restoration on slopes is generally difficult, especially in high altitude areas since the environment has dramatically changing weather conditions that are not suitable for plant growth. In this study, the potential of film mulching for vegetation restoration in such environments and plant growth and nutrients in artificial soil on slopes in high altitude areas were determined. Experiments were carried out in Jiuzhaigou County, Sichuan Province, to determine plant growth and nutrients in artificial soil on slopes under six different coverage rates (40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80% and 90%). Results showed that in each observation period, plant height, ground diameter and contents of EN, EP and EK in the soil of the film mulching treatment were significantly higher than those of the control, while the number of plant individuals per unit area was significantly lower than that of the control. When the coverage rate was 90%, plant height, ground diameter, biomass and nutrient contents in the soil were all higher than those under the other five treatments. Overall, our study suggested that applying film mulching technology when performing vegetation restoration on slopes in high altitude areas is promising, since it can promote plant growth and preserve soil fertility. The association of the Mediterranean diet (MD) with mortality among people with a history of cardiovascular disease (CVD) has not been systematically examined. Hereby, our objective was to investigate the association of MD with all-cause and cardiovascular mortality in people with a history of CVD. We searched five electronic databases including Embase, PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials to screen eligible studies published before 31 August 2020. A random-effect model was used to examine the association of a 2-unit increment in MD score with the risk of all-cause and cardiovascular mortality. We conducted sensitivity and subgroup analyses and examined potential publication bias by Egger's and Begg's tests. Seven cohort studies (eight datasets) with a total of 37,879 participants who had a history of CVD were eligible for the main analysis. The pooled hazard ratios were 0.85 (95% CIs: 0.78–0.93; n = 8) for all-cause mortality and 0.91 (95% CIs; 0.82–1.01; n = 4) for cardiovascular mortality for each 2-unit increment in a score of adherence to MD. Subgroup analyses for all-cause mortality showed that the association appeared relatively stronger in Mediterranean areas (HR = 0.76 [0.69–0.83]) than non-Mediterranean areas (HR = 0.95 [0.93–0.98]) and in studies with a shorter duration (HR = 0.75 [0.66–0.84] for <7 years vs. HR = 0.94 [0.91–0.98] for ≥7 years). No evidence of publication bias was observed. The present meta-analysis of prospective cohort studies provided evidence that adherence to MD improved survival in people with a history of CVD. Randomized controlled trials showed that soy intervention significantly improved blood lipids in people with diabetes. We sought to prospectively examine the association of soy consumption with the risk of cardiovascular death among individuals with diabetes. A total of 26,139 participants with a history of diabetes were selected from the Chinese Kadoorie Biobank study. Soy food consumption was assessed by a food frequency questionnaire. Causes of death were coded by the 10th International Classification of Diseases. The Cox proportional hazard regression was used to compute the hazard ratios. During a median follow-up of 7.8 years, a total of 1626 deaths from cardiovascular disease (CVD) were recorded. Compared with individuals who never consumed soy foods, the multivariable-adjusted risks (95% confidence intervals) of CVD mortality were 0.92 (0.78, 1.09), 0.89 (0.75, 1.05), and 0.77 (0.62, 0.96) for those who consumed soy foods monthly, 1–3 days/week, and ≥4 days/week, respectively. For cause-specific cardiovascular mortality, significant inverse associations were observed for coronary heart disease and acute myocardial infarction. Higher soy food consumption was associated with a lower risk of cardiovascular death, especially death from coronary heart disease and acute myocardial infarction, in Chinese adults with diabetes. Instance matching is a key task in knowledge graph fusion, and it is critical to improving the efficiency of instance matching, given the increasing scale of knowledge graphs. Blocking algorithms selecting candidate instance pairs for comparison is one of the effective methods to achieve the goal. In this paper, we propose a novel blocking algorithm named MultiObJ, which constructs indexes for instances based on the Ordered Joint of Multiple Objects' features to limit the number of candidate instance pairs. Based on MultiObJ, we further propose a distributed framework named Follow-the-Regular-Leader Instance Matching (FTRLIM), which matches instances between large-scale knowledge graphs with approximately linear time complexity. FTRLIM has participated in OAEI 2019 and achieved the best matching quality with significantly efficiency. In this research, we construct three data collections based on a real-world large-scale knowledge graph. As an approach with great potential, the interpretation of space-borne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images has been applied for monitoring the dynamic evolution of the glacial lakes in recent years. Considering unfavorable factors, such as inherent topography-induced effects and speckle noise in SAR images, it is challenging to accurately map and track the dynamic evolution of the glacial lakes by using multi-temporal SAR images. This paper presents an improved neighborhood-based ratio method utilizing a time series of SAR images to identify the boundaries of the glacial lakes and detect their spatiotemporal changes. The proposed method was applied to monitor the dynamic evolution of the two glacial lakes with periodic water discharge at the terminus of the Gongba Glacier in the southeastern Tibetan Plateau by utilizing 144 Sentinel-1A SAR images collected between October of 2014 and November of 2020. We first generated the reference intensity image (RII) by averaging all the SAR images collected when the water in the glacial lakes was wholly discharged, then calculated the neighborhood-based ratio between RII and each SAR intensity image, and finally identified the boundaries of the glacial lakes by a ratio threshold determined statistically. The time series of areas of the glacial lakes were estimated in this way, and the dates for water recharging and discharging were accordingly determined. The testing results showed that the water of the two glacial lakes began to be recharged in April and reached their peak in August and then remained stable dynamically until they began to shrink in October and were discharged entirely in February of the following year. We observed the expansion process with annual growth rates of 3.19% and 12.63% for these two glacial lakes, respectively, and monitored a glacial lake outburst flood event in July 2018. The validation by comparing with the results derived from Sentinel-2A/B optical images indicates that the accuracy for identifying the boundaries of the glacial lakes with Sentinel-1A SAR images can reach up to 96.49%. Although ground-based synthetic aperture radar (GB-SAR) interferometry has a very high precision with respect to deformation monitoring, it is difficult to match the fan-shaped grid coordinates with the local topography in the geographical space because of the slant range projection imaging mode of the radar. To accurately identify the deformation target and its position, high-accuracy geocoding of the GB-SAR images must be performed to transform them from the two-dimensional plane coordinate system to the three-dimensional (3D) local coordinate system. To overcome difficulties of traditional methods with respect to the selection of control points in GB-SAR images in a complex scattering environment, a high-resolution digital surface model obtained by unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) aerial photogrammetry was used to establish a high-accuracy GB-SAR coordinate transformation model. An accurate GB-SAR image geocoding method based on solution space search was proposed. Based on this method, three modules are used for geocoding: framework for the unification of coordinate elements, transformation model, and solution space search of the minimum Euclidean distance. By applying this method to the Laoguanjingtai landslide monitoring experiment on Hailuogou Glacier, a subpixel geocoding accuracy was realized. The effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed method were verified by contrastive analysis and error assessment. The method proposed in this study can be applied for accurate 3D interpretation and analysis of the spatiotemporal characteristic in GB-SAR deformation monitoring and should be popularized.
