Pathogenic biofilms provide a naturally favorable barrier for microbial growth and are closely related to the virulence of pathogens. Postbiotics from lactic acid bacteria (LAB) are secondary metabolites and cellular components obtained by inactivation of fermentation broth; they have a certain inhibitory effect on all stages of pathogen biofilms. Postbiotics from LAB have drawn attention because of their high stability, safety dose parameters, and long storage period, which give them a broad application prospect in the fields of food and medicine. The mechanisms of eliminating pathogen biofilms via postbiotics from LAB mainly affect the surface adhesion, self-aggregation, virulence, and QS of pathogens influencing interspecific and intraspecific communication. However, there are some factors (preparation process and lack of target) which can limit the antibiofilm impact of postbiotics. Therefore, by using a delivery carrier and optimizing process parameters, the effect of interfering factors can be eliminated. This review summarizes the concept and characteristics of postbiotics from LAB, focusing on their preparation technology and antibiofilm effect, and the applications and limitations of postbiotics in food processing and clinical treatment are also discussed. Post-translational modification of proteins plays a critical role in plant–pathogen interactions. Here, we demonstrate in Nicotiana benthamiana that knockout of NbHAG1 promotes Chinese wheat mosaic virus (CWMV) infection, whereas NbHAG1 overexpression inhibits infection. Transcriptome sequencing indicated that a series of disease resistance-related genes were up-regulated after overexpression of NbHAG1. In addition, cleavage under targets and tagmentation (Cut&Tag)-qPCR results demonstrated that NbHAG1 may activate the transcription of its downstream disease-resistance genes by facilitating the acetylation level of H3K36ac. The F-box gene family is abundant in plants and crucial for plant growth and development. However, two questions prevail: Which F-box genes are involved in regulating plant biological processes? How do these genes regulate such biological processes? In this study, we characterized the F-box family and identified 240 F-box genes in birch (Betula platyphylla Suk.) via HMMER analysis. According to the C-terminal conserved domains, the F-box members were divided into 10 subfamilies. Through phylogenetic analysis, the F-box proteins were clustered into eight evolutionary branches. Synteny analyses suggested that the birch F-box gene family exhibits tandem and segmental duplication events. GO annotation analysis revealed that BpF-box proteins respond to stimuli, and regulate the defense response. According to RNA-Seq analysis, we found that 11 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) are responsive to osmotic stress. We performed co-expression analysis on the representative genes, and GO enrichment analysis further revealed that representative plant genes participate in the regulation of hormones, growth, and development. Through qRT-PCR, we found that the representative BpF-box genes are mainly involved in hormone response signaling pathways. It appears that the F-box gene family plays a significant role in the regulation of birch osmotic stress responses through the regulation of different hormones. The ATP-binding cassette (ABC) superfamily of proteins is a group of evolutionarily conserved proteins. The ABCF subfamily is involved in ribosomal synthesis, antibiotic resistance, and transcriptional regulation. However, few studies have investigated the role of ABCF in wheat (Triticum aestivum) immunity. Here, we identified 18 TaABCFs and classified them into four categories based on their domain characteristics. Functional similarity between Arabidopsis and wheat ABCF genes was predicted using phylogenetic analysis. A comprehensive genome-wide analysis of gene structure, protein motifs, chromosomal location, and cis-acting elements was also performed. Tissue-specific analysis and expression profiling under temperature, hormonal, and viral stresses were performed using real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction after randomly selecting one gene from each group. The results revealed that all TaABCF genes had the highest expression at 25 °C and responded to methyl jasmonate induction. Notably, TaABCF2 was highly expressed in all tissues except the roots, and silencing it significantly increased the accumulation of Chinese wheat mosaic virus or wheat yellow mosaic virus in wheat leaves. These results indicated that TaABCF may function in response to viral infection, laying the foundation for further studies on the mechanisms of this protein family in plant defence. Simple Summary: The present study evaluated the available energy value and amino acid digestibility of brown rice stored for 6 years and investigated its application in weaned piglets and fully grown pig diets. The results showed that the available energy and ileal digestibility of amino acids did not change in brown rice stored under good conditions for 6 years. Stored brown rice also had no significant effects on growth performance, nutrient-apparent total tract digestibility, serum biochemical indices, carcass traits, meat quality, and muscular fatty-acid profiles of pigs but did reduce the activity of digestive enzymes in the pigs' small intestines. Altogether, brown rice stored under good conditions for 6 years can be used as a high-quality energy-feed raw material in pig diets. Long-term storage may reduce the nutritional quality of brown rice, so the present study aimed to evaluate the nutritional values of long-term-stored nutrition in pig diets. In Exp. 1, 18 Landrace × Yorkshire (L × Y) barrows with an initial body weight (IBW) of 25.48 ± 3.21 kg were randomly assigned to three treatments, including a corn-based diet, one-year-stored brown rice (BR1) diet, and six-year-stored brown rice (BR6) diet, to determine the digestible energy (DE) and metabolizable energy (ME) values of stored brown rice. In Exp. 2, 24 barrows (L × Y; IBW: 22.16 ± 2.42 kg) fixed with ileal T-cannula were randomly allotted to four dietary treatments, including a corn diet, two stored brown rice diets, and a nitrogen-free diet, to evaluate the amino acid (AA) digestibility of the stored brown rice. In Exp. 3 and 4, 108 crossbred weaned piglets (L × Y; IBW: 9.16 ± 0.89 kg) and 90 crossbred growing pigs (L × Y; IBW: 48.28 ± 3.51 kg) were allotted to three treatment diets, including a control diet and two stored brown rice diets, respectively, to investigate the application of stored brown rice in weaned piglets and fully grown pig diets. The results indicated that there was no significant difference in the DE and ME values between corn and stored brown rice (p > 0.05), while the apparent ileal digestibility (AID) of arginine, histidine, asparagine + aspartic acid (Asx), and the standardized ileal digestibility (SID) of arginine and histidine were higher in the stored brown rice diet compared to the corn diet (p < 0.05). Compared to the corn, the stored brown rice showed no significant effects on growth performance, nutrient-apparent total tract digestibility (ATTD), and serum biochemical indices (p > 0.05) but showed decreased activity in the various digestive enzymes in the duodenum, jejunum, and ileum of the weaned piglets (p < 0.05). Also, the stored brown rice diet showed no significant effects on growth performance, carcass traits, meat quality, as well as the fatty acid profiles in the longissimus dorsi muscle of fully grown pigs compared with the corn diet (p > 0.05). In conclusion, the brown rice stored for 6 years under good conditions had no obvious changes in the available energy and nutrient values. Although it may reduce digestive enzyme activity in the small intestines of the piglets, the stored brown rice showed no obvious adverse effects on growth performance and meat quality and can be effectively used in pig diets. The bHLH family, as a superfamily of transcription factors (TFs), has special functional characteristics in plants and plays a crucial role in a plant's growth and development and helping the plant cope with various stresses. In this study, 128 bHLH family genes were screened in the birch (B. platyphylla) genome using conservative domain scan and blast analysis. These genes are clustered into 21 subfamilies based on the phylogenetic tree construction and are unevenly distributed among the 14 birch chromosomes. In all, 22 segmental duplication pairs with 27 BpbHLH genes were identified. The duplications were distributed on eight chromosomes. Analysis of gene structures and protein motifs revealed intra-group conservation of BpbHLHs. Of the BpbHLH family genes, 16 contain only one intron each. The BPChr14G06667 gene contains the most introns, that is, 19. The cis-elements, which respond to plant hormones, light, defense, and stress, were found on the promoter of BHLH family genes. As per RNA-seq data analysis, under PEG osmotic stress, most BpbHLH genes were differentially expressed, and eight were highly differentially expressed. The qRT-PCR analysis results further indicated that BPChr06G09475 was the gene with the highest expression level in leaves, roots, and stems, and that the expression of these eight genes was higher in leaves than in roots and stems and upregulated in all three tissues under osmotic stress compared to the controls. The above analysis suggests that the BpbHLH family genes have a certain biological effect under drought stress that provides a basis for molecular breeding for stress resistance in birch. Tetrodotoxin (TTX) is an exceedingly toxic non-protein biotoxin that demonstrates remarkable selectivity and affinity for sodium channels on the excitation membrane of nerves. This property allows TTX to effectively obstruct nerve conduction, resulting in nerve paralysis and fatality. Although the mechanistic aspects of its toxicity are well understood, there is a dearth of literature addressing alterations in the neural microenvironment subsequent to TTX poisoning. In this research endeavor, we harnessed human pluripotent induced stem cells to generate cerebral organoids—an innovative model closely mirroring the structural and functional intricacies of the human brain. This model was employed to scrutinize the comprehensive transcriptomic shifts induced by TTX exposure, thereby delving into the neurotoxic properties of TTX and its potential underlying mechanisms. Our findings revealed 455 differentially expressed mRNAs (DEmRNAs), 212 differentially expressed lncRNAs (DElncRNAs), and 18 differentially expressed miRNAs (DEmiRNAs) in the TTX-exposed group when juxtaposed with the control cohort. Through meticulous Gene Ontology (GO) annotation, Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analysis, and protein–protein interaction (PPI) analysis, we ascertained that these differential genes predominantly participate in the regulation of voltage-gated channels and synaptic homeostasis. A comprehensive ceRNA network analysis unveiled that DEmRNAs exert control over the expression of ion channels and neurocytokines, suggesting their potential role in mediating apoptosis. The lunar polar regions are key areas for future exploration due to the long-term continuous illumination and persistently shadowed regions that can cold trap abundant water and other volatiles. However, the complex terrain, dynamic lighting, and solar wind-induced electric-field environment present multiple challenges for polar investigation and sampling missions. China's Chang'E-7 (CE-7) will explore the Moon's south polar region in 2026. One of the scientific goals is to drill samples in a wide area with a rover for in situ analysis. This study analyzes the engineering constraints of the polar illumination condition, slopes, and electric field for landing and sampling-site selection. Then, we create a 3D model of CE-7's lunar rover in three operating environments by employing the Spacecraft Plasma Interaction Software, with the rover sampling (i) on a flat surface, (ii) in a shadow, and (iii) near a meter-scale crater under different solar altitude angles. The results show that the rover can be charged to different potentials under the combined effects of solar wind incident angles and surrounding terrains. We find that a favorable traversing and/or sampling site of the rover for future polar exploration is in the upwind direction of a bulge (positively elevated terrains, such as the lander or boulders) or crater, which will cause a minimum charging effect on the rover. The extensive utilization of traditional petroleum-based plastics has resulted in significant damage to the natural environment and ecological systems, highlighting the urgent need for sustainable alternatives. Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) have emerged as promising bioplastics that can compete with petroleum-based plastics. However, their production technology currently faces several challenges, primarily focused on high costs. Cell-free biotechnologies have shown significant potential for PHA production; however, despite recent progress, several challenges still need to be overcome. In this review, we focus on the status of cell-free PHA synthesis and compare it with microbial cell-based PHA synthesis in terms of advantages and drawbacks. Simple Summary: Sarin is a potent organophosphate nerve agent that is a representative of a chemical weapon and poses a threat to human health. In this study, the effects of repeated low-level sarin exposure on the cognitive behavior of rats were studied, and the activity of AChE activity and dendritic spine density in the hippocampus were measured. Whole-transcriptome and bioinformatics methods were used to analyze the related molecular mechanisms, and finally, the ceRNA regulatory network was constructed and analyzed. These newly discovery techniques provide a theoretical basis for the mechanism of sarin-induced cognitive impairment and also offer new insights for the research of other organophosphorus toxicants. Sarin is a potent organophosphorus nerve agent that causes cognitive dysfunction, but its underlying molecular mechanisms are poorly understood. In this study, a rat model of repeated low-level sarin exposure was established using the subcutaneous injection of 0.4 × LD50 for 21 consecutive days. Sarin-exposed rats showed persistent learning and memory impairment and reduced hippocampal dendritic spine density. A whole-transcriptome analysis was applied to study the mechanism of sarin-induced cognitive impairment, and a total of 1035 differentially expressed mRNA (DEmRNA), including 44 DEmiRNA, 305 DElncRNA, and 412 DEcircRNA, were found in the hippocampus of sarin-treated rats. According to Gene Ontology (GO) annotation, Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment, and Protein–Protein Interaction (PPI) analysis, these DERNAs were mainly involved in neuronal synaptic plasticity and were related to the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases. The circRNA/lncRNA–miRNA–mRNA ceRNA network was constructed, in which Circ_Fmn1, miR-741-3p, miR-764-3p, miR-871-3p, KIF1A, PTPN11, SYN1, and MT-CO3 formed one circuit, and Circ_Cacna1c, miR-10b-5p, miR-18a-5p, CACNA1C, PRKCD, and RASGRP1 constituted another circuit. The balance between the two circuits was crucial for maintaining synaptic plasticity and may be the regulatory mechanism by which sarin causes cognitive impairment. Our study reveals the ceRNA regulation mechanism of sarin exposure for the first time and provides new insights into the molecular mechanisms of other organophosphorus toxicants. Nitrite is a common color and flavor enhancer in fermented meat products, but its secondary amines may transfer to the carcinogen N-nitrosamines. This review focuses on the sources, degradation, limitations, and alteration techniques of nitrite. The transition among NO3− and NO2−, NH4+, and N2 constitutes the balance of nitrogen. Exogenous addition is the most common source of nitrite in fermented meat products, but it can also be produced by contamination and endogenous microbial synthesis. While nitrite is degraded by acids, enzymes, and other metabolites produced by lactic acid bacteria (LAB), four nitrite reductase enzymes play a leading role. At a deeper level, nitrite metabolism is primarily regulated by the genes found in these bacteria. By incorporating antioxidants, chromogenic agents, bacteriostats, LAB, or non-thermal plasma sterilization, the amount of nitrite supplied can be decreased, or even eliminated. The ultraviolet–visible imaging spectropolarimeter (UVISP), developed by the Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (AIOFM), Chinese Academy of Science (CAS), is a dual-beam snapshot instrument for measuring the spectral, radiometric, and linear polarization information of absorbing aerosol in a wavelength range from 340 to 520 nm. In this paper, we propose a complete set of calibration methods for UVISP to ensure the accuracy of the measured radiation polarization data, thus guaranteeing the reliability of inversion results. In geometric calibration, we complete the assignment of the field of view (FOV) angle to each pixel of the detector using a high precision turntable and parallel light source. In addition, the geometric calibration accuracy of the S beam and P beam is also analyzed. The results show that the residuals of all row pixels are less than 0.12°. Based on geometric calibration, a spectral calibration is conducted at each spectrum of the S beam and P beam for the given FOV, and the relation between the wavelength and pixel is obtained by a linear fitting procedure. For radiometric calibration, the uniformity of spectral responsivity is corrected, and the function between spectral radiance and output digital data is established. To improve the accuracy of the polarimetric measurement, a polarimetric calibration is proposed, and validated experimental results show that the root mean square (RMS) errors for the demodulated value are all within 0.011 for the input linear polarized light with different angles of linear polarization (AoLPs). Finally, field measurements are conducted, and the absolute deviations are all within 0.01 when the UVISP and CE-318 sun–sky polarimetric radiometer (CE318N) simultaneously measure the degree of linear polarization (DoLP) of the sky at different zenith angles. Simple Summary: Fermented wheat bran was produced by solid-state fermentation method, and the changes of nutritional indexes before and after solid-state fermentation were analyzed. Then, Arbor Acres (AA) broilers were used to study the effects of fermented wheat bran on growth performance, serum immune function, intestinal morphology and microflora of broilers under bacterial lipopolysaccharide stress. The present results indicated that the nutritional value of wheat bran was improved by solid-state fermentation, and wet FWB improved the immune profile of broiler chicken under stress. The study evaluated the effects of dry and wet solid-state fermented wheat bran (FWB) on growth performance, immune function, intestinal morphology and microflora in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-challenged broiler chickens. The experiment was designed as a 2 × 3 factorial arrangement. A total of 252 one-day-old Arbor Acres male broiler chickens were randomly allocated to 1 of 6 treatments: basal diet + sterile saline (negative control, NC), basal diet + LPS (positive control, PC), 7% dry FWB + sterile saline (FWB-I), 7% dry FWB + LPS (FWB-II), 7% wet FWB + sterile saline (FWB-III) and 7% wet FWB + LPS (FWB-IV), with containing 6 replicate cages/treatment and 7 broiler chickens/cage, and the experimental period lasted for 42 days. Broilers were intraperitoneally injected with either 0.5 mg LPS or sterile saline solution per kg body weight at 16, 18 and 20 d of age. Growth performance, serum immunological parameters and indicators related to intestinal health were analyzed on days 21 and 42. Compared with NC, dry and wet FWB significantly increased (p < 0.05) average daily feed intake of days 21 to 42, and increased (p < 0.05) the villus height and villus height to crypt depth ratio of ileum on day 21, decreased (p = 0.101) the jejunum crypt depth and decreased (p < 0.05) the Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium counts of the cecum digesta on day 42. Compared with NC, FWB-II and FWB-IV significantly increased (p < 0.05) the levels of serum total protein and globulin on day 21; compared with the basal diet groups, dry and wet FWB groups significantly increased (p < 0.05) glucose levels on day 21, and wet FWB significantly decreased (p < 0.05) alanine aminotransferase levels on day 42. Compared with PC and FWB-II, FWB-IV significantly increased (p < 0.05) the level of serum immunoglobulin G on day 21. Compared with PC and FWB-II, FWB-IV significantly decreased (p < 0.05) the levels of serum pro-inflammatory cytokines interleukin (IL)-6, IL-8, IL-1β and acute C reactive protein (CRP) on day 21; compared with FWB-III, FWB-IV significantly decreased (p < 0.05) the levels of IL-6, IL-8, CRP and tumor necrosis factor alpha on day 42, but the levels of IL-4 and IL-10 were significantly increased (p < 0.05) on days 21 and 42. These results indicated that supplementing 7% dry or wet FWB can improve growth performance and serum immune functions of broilers, which effectively alleviate the LPS-challenged damage, and wet FWB had a better effect than dry FWB. A combination of airbag, seatbelt, and other restraint systems greatly reduces injury to drivers in small offset collisions. However, the airbag causes accidental injury to the driver in the deployment process. To maximize the protection effect of the restraint system on the driver, this study proposes a pre-tensioned force-limiting seatbelt. A small offset collision accident with video information was simulated by using a Neon sedan and the THUMS (v.4.0.2) finite element model. The effectiveness of the accident model and the matching use of a pre-tensioned force-limiting seatbelt and airbag for driver protection were verified. To obtain the best parameter matching of protection effect, first, the seatbelt force-limiting A, pre-tensioned force B, pre-tensioned time C, airbag ignition time D, and mass flow coefficient E were selected as influencing factors, and orthogonal tests with different factor levels were designed. Then, the direct analysis method was applied to analyze the influence laws of each factor on driver dynamic response and injury. In addition, the radial basis function surrogate model was constructed by synthesizing each kind of critical injury value to the human body. Combined with NSGA-II multi-objective genetic algorithm, the structural performance parameters of the restraint system were optimized and matched. Results showed that the optimal protection matching parameters of the restraint system were 4933.5 N−2499.9 N−16 ms−15.3 ms−0.5 (A−B−C−D−E). Finally, the best matching parameters were input into the accident model for verification. After optimization, the WIC and N i j of drivers were reduced by 37.9% and 45.3%, respectively. Nitrite (NIT), a commonly used food additive, especially in pickled and cured vegetables and meat products, might cause acute and chronic diseases. Fermentation with lactic acid bacteria (LAB) is an effective method for degrading NIT and improving the flavor of pickled and cured foods. In this study, Limosilactobacillus fermentum (L. fermentum) RC4 with a high NIT degradation ability was found to degrade NIT in a new manner when compared with reported enzymatic and acid degradation, namely, metabolite degradation during fermentation in MRS broth, which shows a synergistic effect with acid to increase NIT degradation. Liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry analysis identified 134 significantly different metabolites, of which 11 metabolites of L. fermentum RC4, namely, γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA), isocitric acid, D-glucose, 3-methylthiopropionic acid (MTP), N-formyl-L-methionine, dimethyl sulfone (MSM), D-ribose, mesaconate, trans-aconitic acid, L-lysine, and carnosine, showed significant NIT degradation effects compared with the control group (MRS broth). Verification experiments showed that adding the above 11 metabolites to 100 mg/L NIT and incubating for 24 h resulted in NIT degradation rates of 5.07%, 4.41%, 6.08%, 16.93%, 5.28%, 2.41%, 0.93%, 18.93%, 12.25%, 6.42%, and 3.21%, respectively. Among these, three metabolites, namely, mesaconate, MTP, and trans-aconitic acid, showed efficient NIT degradation abilities that might be related to the degradation mechanism involving decarboxylation reactions. This is the first systematic study of NIT degradation by LAB, resulting in the identification of a new metabolite degradation pathway and three efficient NIT degradation metabolites. The development of solid-state polymer electrolytes is an effective way to overcome the notorious shuttle effect of polysulfides in traditional liquid lithium sulfur batteries. In this paper, cationic cyclopropenium based cross-linked polymer was firstly prepared with the one pot method, and then the counter ion was replaced by TFSI− anion using simple ion replacement. Cationic cyclopropenium hyper-crosslinked polymer (HP) was introduced into a polyethylene oxide (PEO) matrix with the solution casting method to prepare a composite polymer electrolyte membrane. By adding HP@TFSI to the PEO-based electrolyte, the mechanical and electrochemical properties of the solid-state lithium-sulfur batteries were significantly improved. The PEO-20%HP@TFSI electrolyte shows the highest Li+ ionic conductivity at 60 °C (4.0 × 10−4 S·cm−1) and the highest mechanical strength. In the PEO matrix, uniform distribution of HP@TFSI inhibits crystallization and weakens the interaction between each PEO chain. Compared with pure PEO/LiTFSI electrolyte, the PEO-20%HP@TFSI electrolyte shows lower interface resistance and higher interface stability with lithium anode. The lithium sulfur battery based on the PEO-20%HP@TFSI electrolyte shows excellent electrochemical performance, high Coulombic efficiency and high cycle stability. After 500 cycles, the capacity of the lithium-sulfur battery based on PEO-20%HP@TFSI electrolytes keeps approximately 410 mAh·g−1 at 1 C, the Coulomb efficiency is close to 100%, and the cycle capacity decay rate is 0.082%. Preoperative assessment of tumor invasiveness is essential to avoid overtreatment for patients with small-sized ground-glass nodules (GGNs) of 10 mm or less in diameter. However, it is difficult to determine the pathological state by computed tomography (CT) examination alone. Aberrant glycans has emerged as a tool to identify novel potential disease biomarkers. In this study, we used a lectin microarray-based strategy to investigate whether glycosylation changes in plasma immunoglobulin G (IgG) provide additional information about the invasiveness of small GGNs before surgery. Two independent cohorts (discovery set, n = 92; test set, n = 210) of GGN patients were used. Five of 45 lectins (Sambucus nigra agglutinin, SNA; Datura stramonium agglutinin, DSA; Galanthus nivalis agglutinin, GNA; Euonymus europaeus lectin, EEL; and Vicia villosa agglutinin, VVA) were identified as independent factors associated with pathological invasiveness of small GGNs (p < 0.01). Ophiopogonis Radix, also known as Mai-dong in Chinese, was a commonly used traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and functional health food. Two products of Ophiopogonis Radix are largely produced in the Sichuan and Zhejiang province, which are called "Chuan maidong (CMD)" and "Zhe maidong (ZMD)" respectively. To distinguish and evaluate the quality of CMD and ZMD, an analytical method based on ultra-fast performance liquid chromatography coupled with triple quadrupole-linear ion trap mass spectrometry (UFLC-QTRAP-MS/MS) was established for simultaneous determination of 32 constituents including 4 steroidal saponins, 3 homisoflavonoids, 15 amino acids, and 10 nucleosides in 27 Mai-dong samples from Sichuan and Zhejiang. Furthermore, principal components analysis (PCA), partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA), t-test, and grey relational analysis (GRA) were applied to discriminate and evaluate the samples from Sichuan and Zhejiang based on the contents of 32 constituents. The results demonstrated that the bioactive constituents in CMD and ZMD were significantly different, and CMD performed better in the quality assessment than ZMD. This study not only provides a basic information for differentiating CMD and ZMD, but offers a new insight into comprehensive evaluation and quality control of Ophiopogonis Radix from two different producing areas. With the rapid increase in the development of miniaturized sensors and embedded devices for vital signs monitoring, personal physiological signal monitoring devices are becoming popular. However, physiological monitoring devices which are worn on the body normally affect the daily activities of people. This problem can be avoided by using a non-contact measuring device like the Doppler radar system, which is more convenient, is private compared to video monitoring, infrared monitoring and other non-contact methods. Additionally real-time physiological monitoring with the Doppler radar system can also obtain signal changes caused by motion changes. As a result, the Doppler radar system not only obtains the information of respiratory and cardiac signals, but also obtains information about body movement. The relevant RF technology could eliminate some interference from body motion with a small amplitude. However, the motion recognition method can also be used to classify related body motion signals. In this paper, a vital sign and body movement monitoring system worked at 2.4 GHz was proposed. It can measure various physiological signs of the human body in a non-contact manner. The accuracy of the non-contact physiological signal monitoring system was analyzed. First, the working distance of the system was tested. Then, the algorithm of mining collective motion signal was classified, and the accuracy was 88%, which could be further improved in the system. In addition, the mean absolute error values of heart rate and respiratory rate were 0.8 beats/min and 3.5 beats/min, respectively, and the reliability of the system was verified by comparing the respiratory waveforms with the contact equipment at different distances. Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus, also called wuweizi in China, was a widely used folk medicine in China, Korea, and Russia. Due to the limited natural resources and huge demand of wuweizi, people tend to cultivate wuweizi to protect this species. However, the quality of wild and cultivated herbs of the same species may change. Little attention has been paid to comparing wild and cultivated wuweizi based on simultaneous determination of its active components, such as lignans and organic acids. An analytical method based on UFLC-QTRAP-MS/MS was used for the simultaneous determination of 15 components, including 11 lignans (schisandrin, gomisin D, gomisin J, schisandrol B, angeloylgomisin H, schizantherin B, schisanhenol, deoxyschizandrin, γ-schisandrin, schizandrin C, and schisantherin) and 4 organic acids (quinic acid, d(−)-tartaric acid, l-(−)-malic acid, and protocatechuic acid) in wuweizi under different ecological environments. Principal components analysis (PCA), partial least squares discrimination analysis (PLS-DA), independent sample t-test, and gray relational analysis (GRA) have been applied to classify and evaluate samples from different ecological environments according to the content of 15 components. The results showed that the differential compounds (i.e., quinic acid, l-(−)-malic acid, protocatechuic acid, schisandrol B) were significantly related to the classification of wild and cultivated wuweizi. GRA results demonstrated that the quality of cultivated wuweizi was not as good as wild wuweizi. The protocol not just provided a new method for the comprehensive evaluation and quality control of wild and cultivated wuweizi, but paved the way to differentiate them at the chemistry level. As one of the major abiotic stresses, salinity stress may affect the physiology and biochemical components of Apocynum venetum L. To systematically evaluate the quality of Apocyni Veneti Folium (AVF) from the perspective of physiological and the wide variety of bioactive components response to various concentrations of salt stress, this experiment was arranged on the basis of ultra-fast liquid chromatography tandem triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (UFLC-QTRAP-MS/MS) technology and multivariate statistical analysis. Physiological characteristics of photosynthetic pigments, osmotic homeostasis, lipid peroxidation product, and antioxidative enzymes were introduced to investigate the salt tolerance mechanism of AVF under salinity treatments of four concentrations (0, 100, 200, and 300 mM NaCl, respectively). Furthermore, a total of 43 bioactive constituents, including 14 amino acids, nine nucleosides, six organic acids, and 14 flavonoids were quantified in AVF under salt stress. In addition, multivariate statistical analysis, including hierarchical clustering analysis, principal component analysis (PCA), and gray relational analysis (GRA) was employed to systematically cluster, distinguish, and evaluate the samples, respectively. Compared with the control, the results demonstrated that 200 mM and 100 mM salt stress contributed to maintain high quality of photosynthesis, osmotic balance, antioxidant enzyme activity, and the accumulation of metabolites, except for total organic acids, and the quality of AVF obtained by these two groups was better than others; however, under severe stress, the accumulation of the oxidative damage and the reduction of metabolite caused by inefficiently scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS) lead to lower quality. Recently, the map matching-assisted positioning method based on micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) inertial devices has become a research hotspot for indoor pedestrian positioning; however, these are based on existing indoor electronic maps. In this paper, without prior knowledge of the map and through building an indoor main path feature point map combined with the simultaneous localization and map building (SLAM) particle filter (PF-SLAM) algorithm idea, a PF-SLAM indoor pedestrian location algorithm based on a feature point map was proposed through the inertial measurement unit to improve indoor pedestrian positioning accuracy. Aiming at the problem of inaccurate heading angle estimation in the pedestrian dead reckoning (PDR) algorithm, a turn-straight-state threshold detection method was proposed that corrected the difference of the heading angles during the straight-line walking of pedestrians to suppress the error accumulation of the heading angle. Aiming at the particles that are severely divergent at the corners, a feature point matching algorithm was proposed to correct the pedestrian position error. Furthermore, the turning point extracted the main path that failed to match the current feature point map as a new feature point was added to update the map. Through the mutual modification of SLAM and an inertial navigation system (INS) the long-time, high-precision, and low-cost positioning functions of indoor pedestrians were realized. Preoperative assessment of tumor invasiveness is essential to avoid overtreatment for patients with small-sized ground-glass nodules (GGNs) of 10 mm or less in diameter. However, it is difficult to determine the pathological state by computed tomography (CT) examination alone. Aberrant glycans has emerged as a tool to identify novel potential disease biomarkers. In this study, we used a lectin microarray-based strategy to investigate whether glycosylation changes in plasma immunoglobulin G (IgG) provide additional information about the invasiveness of small GGNs before surgery. Two independent cohorts (discovery set, n = 92; test set, n = 210) of GGN patients were used. Five of 45 lectins ( Sambucus nigra agglutinin, SNA; Datura stramonium agglutinin, DSA; Galanthus nivalis agglutinin, GNA; Euonymus europaeus lectin, EEL; and Vicia villosa agglutinin, VVA) were identified as independent factors associated with pathological invasiveness of small GGNs ( p < 0.01). Eucommia ulmoides Oilv. (EU), also called Du-zhong, is a classical traditional Chinese medicine. Its bark, leaf, and male flower are all used for medicinal purposes, called Eucommiae Cortex (EC), Eucommiae Folium (EF), and Eucommiae Flos Male (EFM). In order to study the difference in synthesis and the accumulation of metabolites in different parts of EU, a reliable method based on ultra-fast liquid chromatography tandem triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (UFLC-QTRAP-MS/MS) was developed for the simultaneous determination of a total of 21 constituents, including two lignans, 6 iridoids, 6 penylpropanoids, 6 flavonoids, and one phenol in the samples (EC, EF, and EFM). Furthermore, principal component analysis (PCA) was performed to evaluate and classify the samples according to the contents of these 21 constituents. All of the results demonstrated that the chemical compositions in EC, EF, and EFM were significantly different and the differential constituents (i.e., aucubin, geniposidic acid, chlorogenic acid, pinoresinol-di- O -β-d-glucopyranoside, geniposide, cryptochlorogenic acid, rutin, and quercetin) were remarkably associated with sample classifications. Foot-mounted micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) inertial sensors based on pedestrian navigation can be used for indoor localization. We previously developed a novel zero-velocity detection algorithm based on the variation in speed over a gait cycle, which can be used to correct positional errors. However, the accumulation of heading errors cannot be corrected and thus, the system suffers from considerable drift over time. In this paper, we propose a map-matching technique based on conditional random fields (CRFs). Observations are chosen as positions from the inertial navigation system (INS), with the length between two consecutive observations being the same. This is different from elsewhere in the literature where observations are chosen based on step length. Thus, only four states are used for each observation and only one feature function is employed based on the heading of the two positions. All these techniques can reduce the complexity of the algorithm. Finally, a feedback structure is employed in a sliding window to increase the accuracy of the algorithm. Keratan sulfate (KS) represents an important family of glycosaminoglycans that are critical in diverse physiological processes. Recently, accumulating evidence has provided a wealth of information on the bioactivity of KS, which established it as an attractive candidate for drug development. However, although KS has been widely explored, less attention has been given to its effect on gut microbiota. Therefore, given that gut microbiota plays a pivotal role in health homeostasis and disease pathogenesis, we investigated here in detail the effect of KS on gut microbiota by high-throughput sequencing. As revealed by heatmap and principal component analysis, the mice gut microbiota was readily altered at different taxonomic levels by intake of low (8 mg/kg) and high dosage (40 mg/kg) of KS. Interestingly, KS exerted a differing effect on male and female microbiota. Specifically, KS induced a much more drastic increase in the abundance of Lactobacillus spp. in female (sixteen-fold) versus male mice (two-fold). In addition, combined with alterations in gut microbiota, KS also significantly reduced body weight while maintaining normal gut homeostasis. Long-term monitoring of regional and global environment changes often depends on the combined use of multi-source sensor data. The most widely used vegetation index is the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), which is a function of the red and near-infrared (NIR) spectral bands. The reflectance and NDVI data sets derived from different satellite sensor systems will not be directly comparable due to different spectral response functions (SRF), which has been recognized as one of the most important sources of uncertainty in the multi-sensor data analysis. This study quantified the influence of SRFs on the red and NIR reflectances and NDVI derived from 31 Earth observation satellite sensors. For this purpose, spectroradiometric measurements were performed for paddy rice grown under varied nitrogen levels and at different growth stages. The rice canopy reflectances were convoluted with the spectral response functions of various satellite instruments to simulate sensor-specific reflectances in the red and NIR channels. NDVI values were then calculated using the simulated red and NIR reflectances. The results showed that as compared to the Terra MODIS, the mean relative percentage difference (RPD) ranged from -12.67% to 36.30% for the red reflectance, -8.52% to -0.23% for the NIR reflectance, and -9.32% to 3.10% for the NDVI. The mean absolute percentage difference (APD) compared to the Terra MODIS ranged from 1.28% to 36.30% for the red reflectance, 0.84% to 8.71% for the NIR reflectance, and 0.59% to 9.32% for the NDVI. The lowest APD between MODIS and the other 30 satellite sensors was observed for Landsat5 TM for the red reflectance, CBERS02B CCD for the NIR reflectance and Landsat4 TM for the NDVI. In addition, the largest APD between MODIS and the other 30 satellite sensors was observed for IKONOS for the red reflectance, AVHRR1 onboard NOAA8 for the NIR reflectance and IKONOS for the NDVI. The results also indicated that AVHRRs onboard NOAA7-17 showed higher differences than did the other sensors with respect to MODIS. A series of optimum models were presented for remote sensing data assimilation between MODIS and other sensors.
