Free-space optical (FSO) communication has received widespread attention as a high-bandwidth, low-latency communication technique. However, the scintillation effect caused by atmospheric turbulence leads to intensity fluctuations of the transmission signal, which, in turn, affects the performance of the FSO communication system. This paper proposes a channel correlation-based adaptive power transmission for FSO communications. Based on the correlation between uplink and downlink turbulence channels, the power of the reverse transmission signal is adjusted by the fluctuation strength of the received uplink or downlink transmission signal and the channel correlation coefficient to improve the system's performance. The proposed technique is investigated through a simulation using established uplink and downlink channels with different link distances and turbulence intensities. The simulation results show that the bit error rate (BER) performance of the proposed technique is significantly improved compared to the fixed threshold decision (FTD) technique, and it is close to the adaptive threshold decision (ATD) technique. Based on the cohesive zone model (CZM), a finite element model of the film–substrate bearing system in the rolling–sliding contact state is established. Through analyzing the normal and tangential bearing states of the film–substrate system, the effects of the sliding–rolling ratio and the film–substrate adhesion strength on the interfacial stress and the interfacial energy release rate of the film–substrate system are studied. The results show that there is an almost symmetric stress distribution at both sides of the contact zone in rolling contact. In rolling–sliding contact, obvious shear flow along the rolling–sliding direction occurs at the front edge of the contact zone, which results in a significant increase in the shear stress at the interface at the front edge of the contact zone, increasing the risk of interface damage and delamination failure. Meanwhile, the shear flow causes a normal tensile stress concentration along the film surface behind the contact zone, which very easily causes the emergence and expansion of the film surface cracks. In addition, there is a clear positive correlation between the adhesion strength and the load-bearing capacity of the film–substrate interface. Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor), the fifth most important cereal crop globally, serves as a staple food, animal feed, and a bioenergy source. Paclobutrazol-Resistance (PRE) genes play a pivotal role in the response to environmental stress, yet the understanding of their involvement in pest resistance remains limited. In the present study, a total of seven SbPRE genes were found within the sorghum BTx623 genome. Subsequently, their genomic location was studied, and they were distributed on four chromosomes. An analysis of cis-acting elements in SbPRE promoters revealed that various elements were associated with hormones and stress responses. Expression pattern analysis showed differentially tissue-specific expression profiles among SbPRE genes. The expression of some SbPRE genes can be induced by abiotic stress and aphid treatments. Furthermore, through phytohormones and transgenic analyses, we demonstrated that SbPRE4 improves sorghum resistance to aphids by accumulating jasmonic acids (JAs) in transgenic Arabidopsis, giving insights into the molecular and biological function of atypical basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factors in sorghum pest resistance. Traditional graphene-based films normally possess high thermal conductivity (TC) only along a single direction, which is not suitable for thermal interface materials (TIMs). Here, a graphene film with excellent bidirectional TC and mechanical properties was prepared by hot-pressing super-elastic graphene aerogel (SEGA). Thermal annealing at 1800 °C improves the further restacking of graphene sheets, bringing high structure stability to SEGA for enduring the hot-pressing process. The junctions and nodes between the graphene layers in the hot-pressed SEGA (HPSEGA) film provide bidirectional heat transport paths. The in-plane TC and through-plane TC of HPSEGA film with a thickness of 101 μm reach 740 Wm−1K−1 and 42.5 Wm−1K−1, respectively. In addition, HPSEGA film with higher thickness still maintains excellent thermal transport properties due to the interconnected structure reducing the effect of the defects. The infrared thermal images visually manifest the excellent thermal-transfer capability and thermal-dissipation efficiency of the HPSEGA films, indicating the great potential as advanced bidirectional TIMs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The EPIDERMAL PATTERNING FACTOR (EPF) plays a crucial role in plant response to abiotic stress. While the EPF has been extensively studied in model plants such as Arabidopsis thaliana, there is a lack of research on identifying EPF genes in the whole sorghum genome and its response to drought stress. In this study, we employed bioinformatics tools to identify 12 EPF members in sorghum. Phylogenetic tree analysis revealed that SbEPFs can be categorized into four branches. Further examination of the gene structure and protein conservation motifs of EPF family members demonstrated the high conservation of the SbEPF sequence. The promoter region of SbEPFs was found to encompass cis-elements responsive to stress and plant hormones. Moreover, real-time fluorescence quantitative results indicated that the SbEPFs have a tissue-specific expression. Under drought stress treatment, most SbEPF members were significantly up-regulated, indicating their potential role in drought response. Our research findings establish a foundation for investigating the function of SbEPFs and offer candidate genes for stress-resistant breeding and enhanced production in sorghum. The sandstone reservoirs of the He8 member within the Lower Permian Shihezi Formation are important targets for oil and gas exploration in the southern Ningwu Basin. This study utilized thin-section identification, scanning electron microscopy, and X-ray diffraction analysis to examine the petrological features and reservoir characteristics, and evaluate the impact of the mineral composition and diagenesis type on the porosity of the sandstone reservoir. Additionally, a multiple linear regression prediction model was developed to predict the distribution of promising sandstone reservoirs in the study area. The results of the analysis revealed that the sandstone of the He8 member is mainly composed of feldspathic lithic sandstone, followed by lithic sandstone. The main reservoir type is characterized by secondarily dissolved pores and micropores within kaolinite aggregates. The low porosity (ranging from 0.2% to 10.7%) and permeability indicate that the He8 member is a tight sandstone reservoir. This reservoir has undergone compaction, cementation, and dissolution diagenesis, and is presently in the stage of mesodiagenesis B. The rigid framework of quartz, the dissolution of feldspar grains, and the intergranular pores of kaolinite are significant contributors to reservoir quality and the main drivers of porosity. In this study, a multivariate linear regression model was developed based on the mineral content of quartz, feldspar, carbonate minerals, kaolinite, smectite, and rock fragments, which accurately predicts the porosity of the studied reservoirs. Based on this model, it was predicted that the north of the Jingle South sub-depression contains a favorable reservoir space in the tight sandstone reservoir of the He8 member. The findings of this study hold significant reference value in the quantitative characterization of tight sandstone reservoirs with similar depositional and diagenetic characteristics, and improving the prediction effect of favorable reservoirs. This paper studies a novel self-pilot tone based adaptive threshold return-to-zero on-off keying (RZ-OOK) decision for free-space optical (FSO) communications. RZ-OOK has the characteristics of impulse series in the spectrum. Therefore, these impulses can be utilized as the pilot tones of the transmitted signal to convey the channel state information (CSI) of FSO links. Then, the CSI signal is extracted using a local oscillator (LO) with the frequencies of the impulse series and low pass filter. Finally, the adaptive threshold decision (ATD) is realized by assigning optimized weight factors into the extracted CSI signal. The proposed adaptive threshold RZ-OOK decision was studied in simulation under various pulse durations of RZ-OOK signal and frequencies of LO. Simulation results demonstrated that RZ-OOK with the proposed impulse tone-extracted CSI signal under optimized weight factor performs close to the conventional ATD under precise CSI knowledge. Lilies are important crops that are commonly used as cut flowers (Lilium spp.) and edible bulb crops (Lilium davidii var. unicolor). However, virus infections can significantly impact the quantity and quality of lily production. Various methods have been developed to eliminate viruses in lilies, including in vitro culture and virus detection techniques. Meristem culture is the most effective method, which can be combined with other techniques such as thermotherapy and chemotherapy. Nonetheless, virus elimination is affected by several factors, including cultivar, explants used, virus type, and duration of treatments. Efficient diagnostic methods, such as serological and molecular techniques, have been developed to detect viral infections in lilies, including enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (real-time RT-PCR). However, cross-contamination and multiple-virus contamination can lead to unreliable results, and more sophisticated protocols and systems have been developed to address these issues. The objective of this review is to provide a comprehensive overview of the development of lily virus eradication, detection strategies, challenges, and solutions associated with these procedures, and how more sophisticated approaches such as multiplex RT-PCR, indirect ELISA (ID-ELISA), immunocapture RT-PCR (IC-RT-PCR), and immunochromatographic test strips (ICSs) can alleviate some of these setbacks. In order to reach the peak of carbon emission in China by 2030 and to meet the low-carbon conversion of energy and the growing demand for electricity, this study aims to propose a more accurate and scientific method to calculate the carbon emissions of the entire power industry chain. This paper analyzes the historical actual operation data of the energy and power industry from 2000 to 2020, and originally proposes a carbon emission calculation model based on a multi-scenario simulation analysis of electricity consumption. This paper is an original study from the perspective of the whole industry chain of electricity production, transmission, and consumption. Firstly, a carbon emission model of the power system is established based on the carbon emission composition and transmission mechanism of the whole power industrial chain, which consists of calculation models for carbon emissions from overall electricity demand and carbon emissions from electricity network losses. Secondly, the concept of carbon emission coefficient is proposed, and the key parameters of the carbon emission coefficient of the power system are obtained through the econometric model. On this basis, the carbon emission coefficient is obtained by regression fitting of multiple key parameters according to historical data. Finally, electricity consumption per unit output value (ECPUOV) and per capita electricity consumption (PCEC) are used to predict electricity consumption in the next 15 years. This paper also makes a quantitative analysis of the relationship between CO 2 emissions from the power system and electricity consumption. This paper takes G province, which ranks first in total energy consumption and economic aggregate in China, as an example and calculates its CO 2 emissions and achievement of peak CO 2 emissions by multi-scenario analysis. The case study results show that the low carbon scenario(LC) is the best route for G province to peak CO 2 emissions from energy consumption. Amphotericin B (AMB) is an antifungal drug used for serious fungal infections. However, AMB has adverse reactions such as nephrotoxicity, which limit the clinical application of AMB alone or in combination with other antifungal drugs. Nano or micro drug delivery systems (DDS) have been proven to be effective in reducing the toxic and side effects of drugs. Further, the combination of AMB with other compounds with antifungal activity, such as curcumin (CM), may enhance the synergistic effects. Herein, AMB and CM were co-loaded into porous poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) microparticles (MPs) to prepare AMB/CM-PLGA MPs. The AMB/CM-PLGA MPs showed a remarkably reduced hemolysis (62.2 ± 0.6%) compared to AMB (80.9 ± 1.1%). The nephrotoxicity of AMB/CM-PLGA MPs is significantly lower than that of AMB. In vitro, AMB/CM-PLGA MPs had better inhibitory effects on the adhesion and biofilm formation of Candida albicans compared with AMB. Experiments on mice infected with C. albicans showed that AMB/CM-PLGA MPs have a better therapeutic effect than AMB in vivo. Investigating the irradiation effects on borosilicate glass is of great significance for understanding the long-term evolutions of this substance in radioactive environments. In the present study, the hardness and modulus of conventional and ion-irradiated borosilicate glass were investigated through nanoindentation measurements. The obtained results show that the maximum decrease of the mean hardness after He and Ar ion irradiation was 8.4% and 17.0%, respectively, when the fluence reached 1.1 × 1015. It was found that the hardness reduction had a significant ionic correlation. Meanwhile, it was observed that the mean modulus increased by less than 5.0%, while there was no meaningful ionic correlation. The variation in hardness and modulus were primarily the consequence of nuclear energy deposition. The hardness recovery was observed under Ar-irradiated and He-irradiated Ar pre-damaged samples. We demonstrate a new method to detect terahertz (THz) power using a temperature-supersensitive capsulized cholesteric liquid crystal film based on the thermochromic and thermodiffusion effect, which is clearly observed. A quantitative visualization of the THz intensity up to 4.0 × 103 mW/cm2 is presented. The diameter of the color change area is linearly dependent on the THz radiation power above 0.07 mW in the steady state. Moreover, the THz power can be detected for 1 sec of radiation with a parabolic relation to the color change area. The THz power meter is robust, cost-effective, portable, and even flexible, and can be used in applications such as THz imaging, biological sensing, and inspection. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The MOSIR (Mars Orbiter Subsurface Investigation Radar) is one of the scientific payloads carried by the Tianwen-1 orbiter. MOSIR conducted a ground experiment in the desert near Dengkou County, northern China, before the launch of the Tianwen-1 satellite. The MOSIR prototype was suspended from a hot air balloon and flew over a flat region at an altitude of 2500–3300 m. This experiment aimed to verify the system performance and data processing. The data collected in subsurface sounding mode is performed range compression, and the altitude measurement data removes invalid data. After processing, the altitude measurement results of two operating modes are analyzed and compared with that of the Global Position System (GPS), which verifies the accuracy of the altitude measurement. Geostationary optical remote sensing satellites, such as the GF-4, have a high temporal resolution and wide coverage, which enables the continuous tracking and observation of ship targets over a large range. However, the ship targets in the images are usually small and dim and the images are easily affected by clouds, islands and other factors, which make it difficult to detect the ship targets. This paper proposes a new method for detecting ships moving on the sea surface using GF-4 satellite images. First, the adaptive nonlinear gray stretch (ANGS) method was used to enhance the image and highlight small and dim ship targets. Second, a multi-scale dual-neighbor difference contrast measure (MDDCM) method was designed to enable detection of the position of the candidate ship target. The shape characteristics of each candidate area were analyzed to remove false ship targets. Finally, the joint probability data association (JPDA) method was used for multi-frame data association and tracking. Our results suggest that the proposed method can effectively detect and track moving ship targets in GF-4 satellite optical remote sensing images, with better detection performance than other classical methods. For improving lodging resistance and increasing grain yield in wheat in the Yellow-Huai River Basin in China, different sowing modes have been investigated. Conventionally, the small-flat-plot sowing mode has been adopted in wheat cultivation. However, this sowing mode leads to heavy lodging and low land use efficiency. In this study, a new sowing mode, high-low-plot sowing mode with two more rows sowed on the high plot, was investigated. Two cultivars, Hengguan 35 and Jimai 44 were used for two seasonal field experiments from 2018 to 2020. The results showed that grain yield improved with the high-low sowing mode by as much as 25% since more spikes per unit area were observed concomitant with reduced stem lodging. The grain yield increase was mainly due to the enhanced spike number per m2, while the lodging resistance was improved through the lowered plant height and the center of gravity height. This research proves that the high-low-plot sowing mode is an improved sowing mode for producing greater grain yield with better lodging resistance in the wheat production area in northern China. Reduced graphene oxide (rGO) aerogels with a three-dimensional (3D) interconnected network provides continuous heat transport paths in multi-directions. However, the high porosity of rGO aerogels commonly leads to very low thermal conductivity (TC), and defects and grain boundaries of rGO sheets result in a high extent of phonon scattering, which is far from satisfying the requirement of thermal interface materials (TIMs). Here, a compressible graphitized-rGO/polyimide (g-rGO/PI) aerogel was prepared by the ice-template method and "molecular welding" strategy. The regular cellular structure and closely packed cell walls bring the g-rGO/PI aerogel high compressibility, which made the aerogel can maintain the continuous thermal transport paths well even in highly compacted status. The rGO sheets in the cell wall surface are welded up by g-PI during imidization and graphitization treatment, providing efficient channels for phonon transportation in the 3D network. The g-rGO/PI aerogel in a compressive strain of 95% has a high TC in the plane of 172.5 W m−1k−1 and a high TC through the plane of 58.1 W m−1k−1, which is superior to other carbon-based TIMs previously reported. The depletion of limited petroleum resources used for the fabrication of epoxy resins calls for the development of biomass-based epoxides as promising alternatives to petroleum-derived epoxides. However, it is challenging to obtain an epoxy resin with both high lignin content and excellent mechanical performance. Herein, a 4-dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP)-lignin epoxide with a certain epoxy value and a small molecular weight is obtained by the catalysis of DMAP for the macromolecular lignin. It was discovered that compared to the prepared composite resin of benzyltriethylammonium chloride (BTEAC)-lignin epoxide, there is a better low-temperature storage modulus for the DMAP-lignin epoxide resin and its composite resins with high-biomass contents, and higher tensile strength for its composite resins. In particular, the DMAP-lignin epoxide/ bisphenol A diglycidyl ether (BADGE) (DB) composite resin with DMAP-lignin epoxide replacement of 80 wt% BADGE, containing up to 58.0 wt% the lignin epoxide, exhibits the tensile strength of 76.3 ± 3.2 MPa. Its tensile strength is 110.2% of BTEAC-lignin epoxide/BADGE (BB) composite resins and is comparable to that of petroleum-based epoxy resins. Protein-tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) has been considered as a promising target for treating insulin resistance. In searching for naturally occurring PTB1B antagonists, two new pimarane diterpenoids, named 2α-hydroxy-7-oxo-pimara-8(9),15-diene (1) and 19-hydroxy-2α-acetoxy-7-oxo-pimara-8(9),15-diene (2), were isolated from the seeds of Caesalpinia minax. Their structures were determined by extensive analysis of NMR and HR-ESIMS data, and their absolute configurations were determined by electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectra. Compound 1 was disclosed as a competitive inhibitor of PTP1B with an IC50 (the half-maximal inhibitory concentration) value of 19.44 ± 2.39 µM and a Ki (inhibition constant) value of 13.69 ± 2.72 μM. Moreover, compound 1 dose-dependently promoted insulin-stimulated glucose uptake in C2C12 myotubes through activating insulin signaling pathway. Low electrical conductivity severely limits the application of Fe2O3 in lithium- and sodium-ion batteries. In respect of this, we design and fabricate Fe2O3/Fe3O4 nano-aggregates anchored on nitrogen-doped graphene as an anode for sodium-ion batteries with the assistance of microwave plasma. The highly conductive Fe3O4 in the composite can function as a highway of electron transport, and the voids and phase boundaries in the Fe2O3/Fe3O4 heterostructure facilitate Na+ ion diffusion into the nano-aggregates. Furthermore, the Fe–O–C bonds between the nano-aggregates and graphene not only stabilize the structural integrity, but also enhance the charge transfer. Consequently, the Fe2O3/Fe3O4/NG anode exhibits specific capacity up to 362 mAh g−1 at 100 mA g−1, excellent rate capability, and stable long-term cycling performance. This multi-component-based heterostructure design can be used in anode materials for lithium- and sodium-ion batteries, and potential opens a new path for energy storage electrodes. The hydrogen adsorption characteristics and mechanism of transition metal-doped zeolite template carbon (ZTC) as a novel porous material are studied by theoretical calculations employing first-principle all-electron atomic orbital method based on density functional theory. The stability of transition metal atoms (Sc, Ti, and V) decorated on zeolite template carbon is investigated by calculating the absorption binding energy. The adsorption configurations of the doped metal atom and adsorbed hydrogen are obtained from the energy functional minimization of first-principles calculations. The underlying mechanism for improving hydrogen storage performance of ZTC by doping transition metal atoms are explored through analyzing charge/spin populations of metal atoms in combination with the calculated results of hydrogen adsorption quantity and binding energy. To improve the hydrogen storage capability, the Sc, Ti, and V are individually introduced into the ZTC model according to the triplex axisymmetry. The hydrogen storage properties of ZTC decorated with different metal atoms are characterized by the adsorption energy and structure of several hydrogen atoms. The more energetically stable complex system with higher binding energy and adsorbing distance of hydrogen than lithium-doped ZTC can be achieved by doping Sc, Ti, V atoms in ZTC, which is expected to fulfill the substantial safe hydrogen storage by increasing hydrogen capacity with multi-sites doping of transition metal atoms. In this study, we prepared cubic-phase oleic-acid-coated KMnF3: Yb3+,Er3+ nanoparticles (NPs) and NaYF4:Yb3+,Er3+ NPs, which were about 23 nm. From the down-shifting emissions spectra of the two NPs obtained by 980 nm excitation, we observed the fact that the KMnF3: 18%Yb3+,1%Er3+ NPs were a luminescent material with a broadband near-infrared emission of 1.5 μm, and full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) of 55 cm−1, which was wider than that of the NaYF4: 18%Yb3+,1% NPs. Therefore, we believe that the oleic-acid-coated KMnF3:Yb3+,Er3+ NPs have great potential in fabricating broadband waveguide amplifiers. Through epitaxial growth of a KMnF3: Yb3+ active-shell on the core NPs, we compounded KMnF3:Yb3+,Er3+@KMnF3:Yb3+ core-active-shell NPs whose 1.5-μm infrared emissions intensity was 3.4 times as strong as that of the core NPs. In addition, we manufactured waveguide amplifiers using KMnF3:18%Yb3+,1%Er3+@KMnF3:2%Yb3+ NPs as the core materials of the waveguide amplifiers. When the input signal power was 0.2 mW and the pump power was 200 mW, we achieved a relative gain of 0.6 dB at 1534 nm in a 10-mm long waveguide. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As an important infrastructure project, the concrete gravity dam plays an extremely important role in hydropower generation, irrigation, flood control, and other aspects. Seepage is an important factor affecting the stability of concrete gravity dams. Seepage safety assessment is of great significance to the safe operation of the dams. However, the existing seepage safety assessment models are not dynamic, and the correlation among indicators is often neglected and the overall seepage safety of the concrete gravity dams has not been considered. To solve these problems, this research proposes a dynamic matter-element extension (D-MEE) model. First, the D-MEE model is established through adroit integration of the matter-element extension (MEE) model and functional data analysis (FDA). Second, a dynamic criteria importance through the intercriteria correlation (D-CRITIC) method that can effectively consider the correlation among indicators is proposed to determine the weights. Third, the influence of different dam blocks on the overall seepage safety status is considered by constructing a spatial weight matrix. Finally, the proposed method is applied to the concrete gravity dam X in southwest China. In this investigation, chromium (Cr) was adopted as an alloying element on a nickel substrate, and the alloying process was materialized via high-current pulsed electron beam (HCPEB) irradiation. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) were also conducted for microstructure characterization. The results showed that after HCPEB irradiation a nanocrystalline Cr-Ni alloying layer was formed and numerous dislocations were generated, resulting in a great deal of diffusion paths for Cr elements. Moreover, properties including hardness, wear and electrochemical performance were significantly improved after HCPEB irradiation, which was mainly due to the formation of the nanocrystalline Cr–Ni alloying layer. In addition, each strengthening mechanism that contributed to the hardness of the HCPEB-irradiated sample was mathematically analyzed, and solid solution strengthening was found to be of great importance. Notwithstanding the widespread use and promising clinical value of chemotherapy, the pharmacokinetics, toxicology, and mechanism of mitoxantrone remains unclear. To promote the clinical value in the treatment of human diseases and the exploration of potential subtle effects of mitoxantrone, zebrafish embryos were employed to evaluate toxicity with validated reference genes based on independent stability evaluation programs. The most stable and recommended reference gene was gapdh, followed by tubα1b, for the 48 h post fertilization (hpf) zebrafish embryo mitoxantrone test, while both eef1a1l1 and rpl13α were recommended as reference genes for the 96 hpf zebrafish embryo mitoxantrone test. With gapdh as an internal control, we analyzed the mRNA levels of representative hepatotoxicity biomarkers, including fabp10a, gclc, gsr, nqo1, cardiotoxicity biomarker erg, and neurotoxicity biomarker gfap in the 48 hpf embryo mitoxantrone test. The mRNA levels of gclc, gsr, and gfap increased significantly in 10 and 50 μg/L mitoxantrone-treated 48 hpf embryos, while the transcript levels of fabp10a decreased in a dose-dependent manner, indicating that mitoxantrone induced hepatotoxicity and neurotoxicity. Liver hematoxylin–eosin staining and the spontaneous movement of embryos confirmed the results. Thus, the present research suggests that mitoxantrone induces toxicity during the development of the liver and nervous system in zebrafish embryos and that fabp10a is recommended as a potential biomarker for hepatotoxicity in zebrafish embryos. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common subtype of liver malignancy, and it is characterized by poor prognosis because of cancer stem cell (CSC)-mediated high postsurgical recurrence rates. Thus, targeting CSCs, or HCC cells with CSC-like properties, is an effective strategy for HCC therapy. Here, using long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) microarray analysis, we identified a novel lncRNA termed lncCAMTA1 that is increased in both liver CSCs and HCC. High lncCAMTA1 expression in HCC indicates poor clinical outcome. In vitro and in vivo functional experiments showed that overexpression of lncCAMTA1 promotes HCC cell proliferation, CSC-like properties, and tumorigenesis. Conversely, depletion of lncCAMTA1 inhibits HCC cell proliferation, CSC-like properties, and tumorigenesis. Mechanistically, we demonstrated that lncCAMTA1 physically associates with the calmodulin binding transcription activator 1 (CAMTA1) promoter, induces a repressive chromatin structure, and inhibits CAMTA1 transcription. Furthermore, CAMTA1 is required for the effects of lncCAMTA1 on HCC cell proliferation and CSC-like properties, and the expression of lncCAMTA1 and CAMTA1 is significantly negatively correlated in HCC tissues.
