Tunnel disease detection and maintenance are critical tasks in urban engineering, and are essential for the safety and stability of urban transportation systems. Water stain detection presents unique challenges due to its variable morphology and scale, which leads to insufficient multiscale contextual information extraction and boundary information loss in complex environments. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a method called Deep Aggregation Network with Edge Information Supplement (DAEiS-Net) for detecting tunnel water stains. The proposed method employs a classic encoder–decoder architecture. Specifically, in the encoder part, a Deep Aggregation Module (DAM) is introduced to enhance feature representation capabilities. Additionally, a Multiscale Cross-Attention Module (MCAM) is proposed to suppress noise in the shallow features and enhance the texture information of the high-level features. Moreover, an Edge Information Supplement Module (EISM) is designed to mitigate semantic gaps across different stages of feature extraction, improving the extraction of water stain edge information. Furthermore, a Sub-Pixel Module (SPM) is proposed to fuse features at various scales, enhancing edge feature representation. Finally, we introduce the Tunnel Water Stain Dataset (TWS), specifically designed for tunnel water stain segmentation. Chinese traditional fermented seasonings, essential to the culinary heritage of China, are produced through fermentation, resulting in a diverse range of unique flavors and aromas. The microorganisms involved in fermentation play significant roles in shaping the quality of these traditional fermented seasonings. The production of traditional fermented seasonings is affected by various biological and abiotic factors, presenting challenges concerning product quality and safety. This review investigates the impact of bioaugmentation technology on key Chinese traditional fermented seasonings, such as vinegar, soy sauce, sufu, doubanjiang, dajiang, and douchi. Additionally, the challenges and constraints linked to the implementation of bioaugmentation technology are discussed. The potential of bioaugmentation is highlighted by its ability to shorten the fermentation time, optimize raw material utilization, improve nutritional value, and enhance the quality parameters of these seasonings. As urbanization accelerates, a growing influx of pollutants enters the sea through land runoff, posing a threat to coastal ecosystems. In this study, we systematically determined the concentrations of nutrients and heavy metals in the water and sediments of coastal areas (Yantai, China) and assessed their sources and ecological risks. The results showed that inland rivers transported large amounts of NO3− and PO43− into coast water, which caused severe eutrophication. Regarding heavy metals, copper dominated in seawater, whereas plumbum and arsenic were dominant in sediment, which was sourced from aerosol deposition and mariculture. Zinc, chromium, copper, mercury, and cadmium contributed slightly to pollution, with low enrichment factors, mainly from natural sources. Further analysis showed that zinc, mercury, copper, and arsenic were significantly affected by the grain size composition in sediment. In order to explore the structural changes and products of histamine degradation by multicopper oxidase (MCO) in Lactiplantibacillus plantarum LPZN19, a 1500 bp MCO gene in L. plantarum LPZN19 was cloned, and the recombinant MCO was expressed in E. coli BL21 (DE3). After purification by Ni2+-NTA affinity chromatography, the obtained MCO has a molecular weight of 58 kDa, and it also has the highest enzyme activity at 50 °C and pH 3.5, with a relative enzyme activity of 100%, and it maintains 57.71% of the relative enzyme activity at 5% salt concentration. The secondary structure of MCO was determined by circular dichroism, in which the proportions of the α-helix, β-sheet, β-turn and random coil were 2.9%, 39.7%, 21.2% and 36.1%, respectively. The 6xj0.1.A with a credibility of 68.21% was selected as the template to predict the tertiary structure of MCO in L. plantarum LPZN19, and the results indicated that the main components of the tertiary structure of MCO were formed by the further coiling and folding of a random coil and β-sheet. Histamine could change the spatial structure of MCO by increasing the content of the α-helix and β-sheet. Finally, the LC-MS/MS identification results suggest that the histamine was degraded into imidazole acetaldehyde, hydrogen peroxide and ammonia. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Due to its superior characteristics, carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) have been widely used in aerospace and other fields. However, their effective and economical processing remains a challenge. The purpose of this paper was to experimentally investigate the influence of several machining parameters, namely spindle speed, cutting depth, feed rate, and grit size on different machining performances, i.e., grinding force, and surface roughness through longitudinal-torsional (L&T) ultrasonic vibration grinding CFRP. The response surface methodology with a Box—Behnken design was used to create the experiments. The fitting mathematical models of grinding force and surface roughness were established separately to explore the interaction between the machining parameters and the impact on machining results. With the purpose of improving the surface quality and reducing the grinding force, the NSGA-II was used for multi-objective optimization to obtain the Pareto optimal solution. Norfloxacin (NOR) is a common antibiotic used in humans and animals, and its high levels can cause intolerance or poisoning. Therefore, NOR levels in animal-derived foods must be monitored due to potential side effects and illegal use phenomena. This research centered on the development of an environmentally friendly electrochemical sensor for NOR detection. Potassium carbonate activated tea branch biochar (K-TBC) as an efficient use of waste was coated on the surface of glassy carbon electrode (GCE), and a molecular-imprinted polymer (MIP) layer was subsequently electropolymerized onto the modified electrode. NOR was used as template molecule and o-phenylenediamine (o-PD) and o-aminophenol (o-AP) were used as bifunctional monomers. The electrochemical sensor was built and its electrochemical behavior on NOR was investigated. The sensor demonstrated an excellent linear current response to NOR concentrations in the ranges of 0.1–0.5 nM and 0.5–100 nM under ideal experimental circumstances, with a detection limit of 0.028 nM (S/N = 3). With recoveries ranging from 85.90% to 101.71%, the designed sensor was effectively used to detect NOR in actual samples of milk, honey, and pork. Besides, the fabricated sensor had low price, short detection time, good selectivity and stability, which can provide a theoretical and practical basis for the actual monitoring of NOR residues. Herein, N, S co-doped carbon quantum dots (N, S-CDs) with high absolute quantitative yield (Abs-QY) of 50.2% were produced by hydrothermal treatment of food residue crayfish shells. A new detection method of thiamphenicol (TAP) and its analogues was established by discovering the obvious fluorescence response between TAP and N, S-CDs, which achieved a wide linear range of 20–300 μg·L−1 with a detection limit (LOD) of 11.12 μg·L−1. This novel probe exhibited strong sensitivity and shows rapid response in complex food matrices (overall detection time is less than 45 min) mainly induced by static quenching. Spiked food sample recovery ranged from 97.3 to 99.34%. Further, the cell experiments of N, S-CDs were conducted, and the cell viability remained 91.76% under high concentration of N, S-CDs due to the environmentally friendly materials. Sliding electrical contacts need to be lubricated by conductive lubricants to perform low energy dissipation, high reliability, and long service life. This work studied the thermal stability, anti-corrosion capacity, and conductive, and tribological behaviors of several solid additives in multiply alkylated cyclopentanes (MACs), including carbon nanotubes (CNTs), multilayer graphene (MG), and silver microparticles. The results showed that all the additives possessed favorable thermal stability and corrosion resistance; in particular, CNTs and MG exhibited lower and more stable electrical contact resistance (ECR) and better lubricity abilities than Ag microparticles. Moreover, based on the characterization of the worn surfaces and the film thickness calculation, the favorable conductive and tribological properties of CNTs and MG were related to the high conductivity and specific structure of the additives and the good chemical inertness of MACs. 3-PBA is a major degradation intermediate of pyrethroids. Its widespread existence in the environment poses a severe threat to the ecosystem and human health. This study evaluated the adsorption capacity of L. plantarum RS20 toward 3-PBA. Batch adsorption experiments indicated that the optimal adsorption conditions were a temperature of 37 °C and initial pH of 6.0–8.0, under which the removal rate was positively correlated with the cell concentration. In addition, there was no link between the incubation time and adsorption rate. The kinetic study showed that the adsorption process fitted well with the pseudo-second-order model, and the adsorption isotherms could be described by both Langmuir and Freundlich equations. Heat and acid treatments showed that the ability of strain RS20 in removing 3-PBA was independent of microbial vitality. Indeed, it was involved with chemisorption and physisorption via the cell walls. The cell walls made the highest contribution to 3-PBA removal, according to the adsorption experiments using different cellular components. This finding was further reconfirmed by SEM. FTIR spectroscopy analysis indicated that carboxyl, hydroxyl, amino groups, and –C–N were the functional sites for the binding of 3-PBA. The co-culture experiments showed that the adsorption of strain RS20 enhanced the degradation of 3-PBA by strain SC-1. Strain RS20 could also survive and effectively remove 3-PBA in simulated digestive juices. Collectively, strain RS20 could be employed as a biological detoxification agent for humans and animals by eliminating 3-PBA from foods, feeds, and the digestive tract in the future. Featured Application: This work can help us understand the role of bacterial communities in Sichuan bacon more deeply and accurately. Sichuan bacon is one of the most popular types of Chinese bacon in the domestic market. High-throughput sequencing was used to characterize the bacterial diversity of 39 Sichuan bacon samples collected from 3 geographical regions. The results showed that the bacterial diversity of Sichuan bacon in different regions demonstrated certain specificity as well as similarity, and the shared OTUs were close to 81% of the total number in the basin group, mountain group, and plateau group. At the genus level, Staphylococcus is the most dominant genus among the three groups, covering 26.7%, 20.6%, and 22.7%, respectively. Beta diversity shows significant differences in bacterial compositions in different geographic regions, especially for Pseudomonas, Brochothrix, Lactobacillus, Lactococcus, and Enterococcus. Meanwhile, some physicochemical characteristics were analyzed, and a significant difference (p < 0.05) among the three regions was shown in the Aw, pH, and nitrite content, which were significantly correlated with undesired bacteria.
