Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a multifaceted autoimmune disease that presents with a diverse array of clinical signs and unpredictable disease progression. Conventional diagnostic methods frequently fall short in terms of sensitivity and specificity, which can result in delayed diagnosis and less-than-optimal management. In this study, we introduce a novel approach for improving the identification of SLE through the use of gene-based predictive modelling and Stacked deep learning classifiers. The study proposes a new method for diagnosing SLE using Stacked Deep Learning Classifiers (SDLC) trained on Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database data. By combining transcriptomic data from GEO with clinical features and laboratory results, the SDLC model achieves a remarkable accuracy value of 0.996, outperforming traditional methods. Individual models within the SDLC, such as SBi-LSTM and ACNN, achieved accuracies of 92% and 95%, respectively. The SDLC's ensemble learning approach allows for identifying complex patterns in multi-modal data, enhancing accuracy in diagnosing SLE. This study emphasises the potential of deep learning methods, in conjunction with open repositories like GEO, to advance the diagnosis and management of SLE. In the digital age, ensuring the authenticity and security of academic certificates is a critical challenge faced by educational institutions, employers, and individuals alike. Traditional methods for verifying academic credentials are often cumbersome, time-consuming, and susceptible to fraud. However, the emergence of blockchain technology offers a promising solution to address these issues. The proposed system utilizes a blockchain network, where each academic certificate is stored as a digital asset on the blockchain. These digital certificates are cryptographically secured, timestamped, and associated with unique identifiers, such as hashes or public keys, ensuring their integrity and immutability. Anyone with access to the blockchain network can verify a certificate's authenticity, using the MetaMask extension and Ethereum network, eliminating the need for intermediaries and reducing the risk of fraudulent credentials. The main strength of the paper is that the data that are stored in the blockchain are unique identifiers of the encrypted data, which is encrypted by using an encryption technique that provides more security to the academic certificates. The number of users of the Internet has been continuously rising, with an estimated 5.1 billion users in 2023, which comprises around 64.7% of the total world population. This indicates the rise of more connected devices to the network. On average, 30,000 websites are hacked daily, and nearly 64% of companies worldwide experience at least one type of cyberattack. As per IDC's 2022 Ransomware study, two-thirds of global organizations were hit by a ransomware attack that year. This creates the desire for a more robust and evolutionary attack detection and recovery model. One aspect of the study is the bio-inspiration models. This is because of the natural ability of living organisms to withstand various odd circumstances and overcome them with an optimization strategy. In contrast to the limitations of machine learning models with the need for quality datasets and computational availability, bio-inspired models can perform in low computational environments, and their performances are designed to evolve naturally with time. This study concentrates on exploring the evolutionary defence mechanism in plants and understanding how plants react to any known external attacks and how the response mechanism changes to unknown attacks. This study also explores how regenerative models, such as salamander limb regeneration, could build a network recovery system where services could be automatically activated after a network attack, and data could be recovered automatically by the network after a ransomware-like attack. There is an exponential rise in the use of smartphones in government and private institutions due to business dependencies such as communication, virtual meetings, and access to global information. These smartphones are an attractive target for cybercriminals and are one of the leading causes of cyber espionage and sabotage. A large number of sophisticated malware attacks as well as advanced persistent threats (APTs) have been launched on smartphone users. These attacks are becoming significantly more complex, sophisticated, persistent, and undetected for extended periods. Traditionally, devices are targeted by exploiting a vulnerability in the operating system (OS) or device sensors. Nevertheless, there is a rise in APTs, side-channel attacks, sensor-based attacks, and attacks launched through the Google Play Store. Previous research contributions have lacked contemporary threats, and some have proven ineffective against the latest variants of the mobile operating system. In this paper, we conducted an extensive survey of papers over the last 15 years (2009–2023), covering vulnerabilities, contemporary threats, and corresponding defenses. The research highlights APTs, classifies malware variants, defines how sensors are exploited, visualizes multiple ways that side-channel attacks are launched, and provides a comprehensive list of malware families that spread through the Google Play Store. In addition, the research provides details on threat defense solutions, such as malware detection tools and techniques presented in the last decade. The emergence of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) has enhanced the lives of humans and envisioned the concept of smart cities using informed actions, enhanced user interpretations and explanations, and firm decision-making processes. The XAI systems can unbox the potential of black-box AI models and describe them explicitly. The study comprehensively surveys the current and future developments in XAI technologies for smart cities. It also highlights the societal, industrial, and technological trends that initiate the drive towards XAI for smart cities. It presents the key to enabling XAI technologies for smart cities in detail. The paper also discusses the concept of XAI for smart cities, various XAI technology use cases, challenges, applications, possible alternative solutions, and current and future research enhancements. Research projects and activities, including standardization efforts toward developing XAI for smart cities, are outlined in detail. The lessons learned from state-of-the-art research are summarized, and various technical challenges are discussed to shed new light on future research possibilities. The chest lesion caused by COVID-19 infection pandemic is threatening the lives and well-being of people all over the world. Artificial intelligence (AI)-based strategies are efficient methods for helping radiologists by assessing the vast number of chest X-ray images, which may play a significant role in simplifying and improving the diagnosis of chest lesion caused by COVID-19 infection. Machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) are such AI strategies that have helped researchers predict chest lesion caused by COVID-19 infection cases. But ML and DL strategies face challenges like transmission delays, a lack of computing power, communication delays, and privacy concerns. Federated Learning (FL) is a new development in ML that makes it easier to collect, process, and analyze large amounts of multidimensional data. This could help solve the challenges that have been identified in ML and DL. However, FL algorithms send and receive large amounts of weights from client-side trained models, resulting in significant communication overhead. To address this problem, we offer a unified framework combining FL and a particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSO) to speed up the government's response time to chest lesion caused by COVID-19 infection outbreaks. The Federated Particle Swarm Optimization approach is tested on a multidimensional chest lesion caused by the COVID-19 infection image dataset and the chest X-ray (pneumonia) dataset from Kaggle's repository. Our research shows that the proposed model works better when there is an uneven amount of data, has lower communication costs, and is therefore more efficient from a network's point of view. The results of the proposed approach were validated; 96.15% prediction accuracy was achieved for chest lesions caused by the COVID-19 infection dataset, and 96.55% prediction accuracy was achieved for the chest X-ray (pneumonia) dataset. In recent years, the high improvement in communication, Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing have begun complex questioning in security. Based on the development, cyberattacks can be increased since the present security techniques do not give optimal solutions. As a result, the authors of this paper created filter-based ensemble feature selection (FEFS) and employed a deep learning model (DLM) for cloud computing intrusion detection. Initially, the intrusion data were collected from the global datasets of KDDCup-99 and NSL-KDD. The data were utilized for validation of the proposed methodology. The collected database was utilized for feature selection to empower the intrusion prediction. The FEFS is a combination of three feature extraction processes: filter, wrapper and embedded algorithms. Based on the above feature extraction process, the essential features were selected for enabling the training process in the DLM. Finally, the classifier received the chosen features. The DLM is a combination of a recurrent neural network (RNN) and Tasmanian devil optimization (TDO). In the RNN, the optimal weighting parameter is selected with the assistance of the TDO. The proposed technique was implemented in MATLAB, and its effectiveness was assessed using performance metrics including sensitivity, F measure, precision, sensitivity, recall and accuracy. Forests are a vital part of the ecological system. Forest fires are a serious issue that may cause significant loss of life and infrastructure. Forest fires may occur due to human or man-made climate effects. Numerous artificial intelligence-based strategies such as machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) have helped researchers to predict forest fires. However, ML and DL strategies pose some challenges such as large multidimensional data, communication lags, transmission latency, lack of processing power, and privacy concerns. Federated Learning (FL) is a recent development in ML that enables the collection and process of multidimensional, large volumes of data efficiently, which has the potential to solve the aforementioned challenges. FL can also help in identifying the trends based on the geographical locations that can help the authorities to respond faster to forest fires. However, FL algorithms send and receive large amounts of weights of the client-side trained models, and also it induces significant communication overhead. To overcome this issue, in this paper, we propose a unified framework based on FL with a particle swarm-optimization algorithm (PSO) that enables the authorities to respond faster to forest fires. The proposed PSO-enabled FL framework is evaluated by using multidimensional forest fire image data from Kaggle. In comparison to the state-of-the-art federated average model, the proposed model performed better in situations of data imbalance, incurred lower communication costs, and thus proved to be more network efficient. The results of the proposed framework have been validated and 94.47% prediction accuracy has been recorded. Connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs) have witnessed significant attention from industries, and academia for research and developments towards the on-road realisation of the technology. State-of-the-art CAVs utilise existing navigation systems for mobility and travel path planning. However, reliable connectivity to navigation systems is not guaranteed, particularly in urban road traffic environments with high-rise buildings, nearby roads and multi-level flyovers. In this connection, this paper presents TAKEN-Traffic Knowledge-based Navigation for enabling CAVs in urban road traffic environments. A traffic analysis model is proposed for mining the sensor-oriented traffic data to generate a precise navigation path for the vehicle. A knowledge-sharing method is developed for collecting and generating new traffic knowledge from on-road vehicles. CAVs navigation is executed using the information enabled by traffic knowledge and analysis. Reversible data hiding (RDH) is an active area of research in the field of information security. In RDH, a secret can be embedded inside a cover medium. Unlike other data-hiding schemes, RDH becomes important in applications that demand recovery of the cover without any deformation, along with recovery of the hidden secret. In this paper, a new RDH scheme is proposed for performing reversible data hiding in encrypted images using a Fibonacci transform with an ensemble learning method. In the proposed scheme, the data hider encrypts the original image and performs further data hiding. During data hiding, the encrypted image is partitioned into non-overlapping blocks, with each block considered one-by-one. The selected block undergoes a series of Fibonacci transforms during data hiding. The number of Fibonacci transforms required on a selected block is determined by the integer value that the data hider wants to embed. On the receiver side, message extraction and image restoration are performed with the help of the ensemble learning method. The receiver will try to perform all possible Fibonacci transforms and decrypt the blocks. The recovered block is identified with the help of trained machine-learning models. The novelty of the scheme lies in (1) retaining the encrypted pixel intensities unaltered while hiding the data. Almost every RDH scheme described in the literature alters the encrypted pixel intensities to embed the data, which represents a security concern for the encryption algorithm; (2) Introducing an efficient means of recovery through an ensemble model framework. The majority of votes from the different trained models guarantee the correct recovery of the cover image. The proposed scheme enables reduction in the bit error rate during message extraction and contributes to ensuring the suitability of the scheme in areas such as medical image transmission and cloud computing. The results obtained from experiments undertaken show that the proposed RDH scheme was able to attain an improved payload capacity of 0.0625 bits per pixel, outperforming many related RDH schemes with complete reversibility. The rapid development of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) increases the requirement for the accurate prediction of objects in the vicinity to guarantee safer journeys. For effectively predicting objects, sensors such as Three-Dimensional Light Detection and Ranging (3D LiDAR) and cameras can be used. The 3D LiDAR sensor captures the 3D shape of the object and produces point cloud data that describes the geometrical structure of the object. The LiDAR-only detectors may be subject to false detection or even non-detection over objects located at high distances. The camera sensor captures RGB images with sufficient attributes that describe the distinct identification of the object. The high-resolution images produced by the camera sensor benefit the precise classification of the objects. However, hindrances such as the absence of depth information from the images, unstructured point clouds, and cross modalities affect assertion and boil down the environmental perception. To this end, this paper proposes an object detection mechanism that fuses the data received from the camera sensor and the 3D LiDAR sensor (OD-C3DL). The 3D LiDAR sensor obtains point clouds of the object such as distance, position, and geometric shape. The OD-C3DL employs Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) for further processing point clouds obtained from the 3D LiDAR sensor and the camera sensor to recognize the objects effectively. The point cloud of the LiDAR is enhanced and fused with the image space on the Regions of Interest (ROI) for easy recognition of the objects. The evaluation results show that the OD-C3DL can provide an average of 89 real-time objects for a frame and reduces the extraction time by a recall rate of 94%. The average processing time is 65ms, which makes the OD-C3DL model incredibly suitable for the AVs perception. Furthermore, OD-C3DL provides mean accuracy for identifying automobiles and pedestrians at a moderate degree of difficulty is higher than that of the previous models at 79.13% and 88.76%. The Internet of Underwater Things (IoUT) has become widely popular in the past decade as it has huge prospects for the economy due to its applicability in various use cases such as environmental monitoring, disaster management, localization, defense, underwater exploration, and so on. However, each of these use cases poses specific challenges with respect to security, privacy, transparency, and traceability, which can be addressed by the integration of blockchain with the IoUT. Blockchain is a Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) that consists of series of blocks chained up in chronological order in a distributed network. In this paper, we present a first-of-its-kind survey on the integration of blockchain with the IoUT. This paper initially discusses the blockchain technology and the IoUT and points out the benefits of integrating blockchain technology with IoUT systems. An overview of various applications, the respective challenges, and the possible future directions of blockchain-enabled IoUT systems is also presented in this survey, and finally, the work sheds light on the critical aspects of IoUT systems and will enable researchers to address the challenges using blockchain technology. In today's society, voting is crucial to choosing the representatives of the people. The current voting process is filled with a vast array of disputes and manipulations. The leader must be selected in a precise manner without any malpractices. In addition, the people and authorities are not happy with the election results and label them unpredictable. We offer a better solution to the current problems, such as tampering, non-residents voting outside of the polling place, quick results analysis, quick counting, and reduced use of staff and funds during the electoral franchise process. In this offer, blockchain technology is used to create the distributed application (dApp) framework that will be used for the proposed e-voting system. Additionally, it offers unique characteristics such as immutability, transparency, privacy, and reception freedom that reduce crimes involving the processing of sensitive data in the electoral process. Ganache, MetaMask, and specified dagger hashing algorithm are used to develop the dApp. A key strength of this paper is the statistical analysis of transactions on the blockchain. Navigating the AGV over the curve path is a difficult problem in all types of navigation (landmark, behavior, vision, and GPS). A single path tracking algorithm is required to navigate the AGV in a mixed environment that includes indoor, on-road, and agricultural terrain. In this paper, two types of proposed methods are presented. First, the curvature information from the generated trajectory (path) data is extracted. Second, the improved curve-aware MPC (C-MPC) algorithm navigates AGV in a mixed environment. The results of the real-time experiments demonstrated that the proposed curve finding algorithm successfully extracted curves from all types of terrain (indoor, on-road, and agricultural-land) path data with low type 1 (percentage of the unidentified curve) and type 2 (extra waypoints added to identified curve) errors, and eliminated path noise (hand-drawn line error over map). The AGV was navigated using C-MPC, and the real-time and simulation results reveal that the proposed path tracking technique for the mixed environment (indoor, on-road, agricultural-land, and agricultural-land with slippery error) successfully navigated the AGV and had a lower RMSE lateral and longitudinal error than the existing path tracking algorithm. The Internet of Things (IoT) has rapidly progressed in recent years and immensely influenced many industries in how they operate. Consequently, IoT technology has improved productivity in many sectors, and smart farming has also hugely benefited from the IoT. Smart farming enables precision agriculture, high crop yield, and the efficient utilization of natural resources to sustain for a longer time. Smart farming includes sensing capabilities, communication technologies to transmit the collected data from the sensors, and data analytics to extract meaningful information from the collected data. These modules will enable farmers to make intelligent decisions and gain profits. However, incorporating new technologies includes inheriting security and privacy consequences if they are not implemented in a secure manner, and smart farming is not an exception. Therefore, security monitoring is an essential component to be implemented for smart farming. In this paper, we propose a cloud-enabled smart-farm security monitoring framework to monitor device status and sensor anomalies effectively and mitigate security attacks using behavioral patterns. Additionally, a blockchain-based smart-contract application was implemented to securely store security-anomaly information and proactively mitigate similar attacks targeting other farms in the community. We implemented the security-monitoring-framework prototype for smart farms using Arduino Sensor Kit, ESP32, AWS cloud, and the smart contract on the Ethereum Rinkeby Test Network and evaluated network latency to monitor and respond to security events. The performance evaluation of the proposed framework showed that our solution could detect security anomalies within real-time processing time and update the other farm nodes to be aware of the situation. Coronavirus (COVID-19) has caused a global disaster with adverse effects on global health and the economy. Early detection of COVID-19 symptoms will help to reduce the severity of the disease. As a result, establishing a method for the initial recognition of COVID-19 is much needed. Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays a vital role in detection of COVID-19 cases. In the process of COVID-19 detection, AI requires access to patient personal records which are sensitive. The data shared can pose a threat to the privacy of patients. This necessitates a technique that can accurately detect the COVID-19 patients in a privacy preserving manner. Federated Learning (FL) is a promising solution, which can detect the COVID-19 disease at early stages without compromising the sensitive information of the patients. In this paper, we propose a novel hybrid algorithm named genetic clustered FL (Genetic CFL), that groups edge devices based on the hypertuned parameters and modifies the parameters cluster wise genetically. The detection of water bodies from satellite images plays a vital role in research development. It has a wide range of applications such as the prediction of natural disasters and detecting drought and flood conditions. There were few existing applications that focused on detecting water bodies that are becoming extinct in nature. The dataset to train this deep learning model is taken from Kaggle. It has two classes, namely water bodies and masks. There is a total of 2841 sentinel-2 satellite images with corresponding 2841 masks. Additionally, the present work focuses on using UNet, Tensorflow to detect the water bodies. It uses a Nadam optimizer to reduce the losses. It also finds best-optimized parameters for the activation function, a number of nodes in each layer. This proposed model achieves integrity by embedding a security feature Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA). It generates a digital signature for the predicted area of water bodies which helps to secure the key and the detected water bodies while transmitting in a channel. Thus, the proposed model ensures the performance accuracy of 94% which can also work the same for edge detection, detection in blurred and low-resolution images. The model is highly robust. The Internet of Things (IoT) revitalizes the world with tremendous capabilities and potential to be utilized in vehicular networks. The Smart Transport Infrastructure (STI) era depends mainly on the IoT. Advanced machine learning (ML) techniques are being used to strengthen the STI smartness further. However, some decisions are very challenging due to the vast number of STI components and big data generated from STIs. Computation cost, communication overheads, and privacy issues are significant concerns for wide-scale ML adoption within STI. These issues can be addressed using Federated Learning (FL) and blockchain. FL can be used to address the issues of privacy preservation and handling big data generated in STI management and control. Blockchain is a distributed ledger that can store data while providing trust and integrity assurance. Blockchain can be a solution to data integrity and can add more security to the STI. This survey initially explores the vehicular network and STI in detail and sheds light on the blockchain and FL with real-world implementations. Then, FL and blockchain applications in the Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET) environment from security and privacy perspectives are discussed in detail. Suspended sediment yield (SSY) prediction plays a crucial role in the planning of water resource management and design. Accurate sediment prediction using conventional models is very difficult due to many complex processes. We developed a fully automatic highly generalized accurate and robust artificial intelligence models for SSY prediction in Godavari River Basin, India. The genetic algorithm (GA), hybridized with an artificial neural network (ANN) (GA-ANN), is a suitable artificial intelligence model for SSY prediction. The GA is used to concurrently optimize all ANN's parameters. The GA-ANN was developed using daily water discharge, with water level as the input data to estimate the daily SSY at Polavaram, which is the farthest gauging station in the downstream of the Godavari River Basin. The performances of the GA-ANN model were evaluated by comparing with ANN, sediment rating curve (SRC) and multiple linear regression (MLR) models. It is observed that the GA-ANN contains the highest correlation coefficient (0.927) and lowest root mean square error (0.053) along with lowest biased (0.020) values among all the comparative models. The GA-ANN model is the most suitable substitute over traditional models for SSY prediction. Smart grids (SG) are electricity grids that communicate with each other, provide reliable information, and enable administrators to operate energy supplies across the country, ensuring optimized reliability and efficiency. The smart grid contains sensors that measure and transmit data to adjust the flow of electricity automatically based on supply/demand, and thus, responding to problems becomes quicker and easier. This also plays a crucial role in controlling carbon emissions, by avoiding energy losses during peak load hours and ensuring optimal energy management. The scope of big data analytics in smart grids is huge, as they collect information from raw data and derive intelligent information from the same. However, these benefits of the smart grid are dependent on the active and voluntary participation of the consumers in real-time. Consumers need to be motivated and conscious to avail themselves of the achievable benefits. Incentivizing the appropriate actor is an absolute necessity to encourage prosumers to generate renewable energy sources (RES) and motivate industries to establish plants that support sustainable and green-energy-based processes or products. The current study emphasizes similar aspects and presents a comprehensive survey of the start-of-the-art contributions pertinent to incentive mechanisms in smart grids, which can be used in smart grids to optimize the power distribution during peak times and also reduce carbon emissions. The various technologies, such as game theory, blockchain, and artificial intelligence, used in implementing incentive mechanisms in smart grids are discussed, followed by different incentive projects being implemented across the globe. The lessons learnt, challenges faced in such implementations, and open issues such as data quality, privacy, security, and pricing related to incentive mechanisms in SG are identified to guide the future scope of research in this sector. Breast cancer is one of the most widespread diseases in women worldwide. It leads to the second-largest mortality rate in women, especially in European countries. It occurs when malignant lumps that are cancerous start to grow in the breast cells. Accurate and early diagnosis can help in increasing survival rates against this disease. A computer-aided detection (CAD) system is necessary for radiologists to differentiate between normal and abnormal cell growth. This research consists of two parts; the first part involves a brief overview of the different image modalities, using a wide range of research databases to source information such as ultrasound, histography, and mammography to access various publications. The second part evaluates different machine learning techniques used to estimate breast cancer recurrence rates. The first step is to perform preprocessing, including eliminating missing values, data noise, and transformation. The dataset is divided as follows: 60% of the dataset is used for training, and the rest, 40%, is used for testing. We focus on minimizing type one false-positive rate (FPR) and type two false-negative rate (FNR) errors to improve accuracy and sensitivity. Our proposed model uses machine learning techniques such as support vector machine (SVM), logistic regression (LR), and K-nearest neighbor (KNN) to achieve better accuracy in breast cancer classification. Furthermore, we attain the highest accuracy of 97.7% with 0.01 FPR, 0.03 FNR, and an area under the ROC curve (AUC) score of 0.99. The results show that our proposed model successfully classifies breast tumors while overcoming previous research limitations. The 21st century has seen rapid changes in technology, industry, and social patterns. Most industries have moved towards automation, and human intervention has decreased, which has led to a revolution in industries, named the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0). Industry 4.0 or the fourth industrial revolution (IR 4.0) relies heavily on the Internet of Things (IoT) and wireless sensor networks (WSN). IoT and WSN are used in various control systems, including environmental monitoring, home automation, and chemical/biological attack detection. IoT devices and applications are used to process extracted data from WSN devices and transmit them to remote locations. This systematic literature review offers a wide range of information on Industry 4.0, finds research gaps, and recommends future directions. Seven research questions are addressed in this article: (i) What are the contributions of WSN in IR 4.0? (ii) What are the contributions of IoT in IR 4.0? (iii) What are the types of WSN coverage areas for IR 4.0? (iv) What are the major types of network intruders in WSN and IoT systems? (v) What are the prominent network security attacks in WSN and IoT? (vi) What are the significant issues in IoT and WSN frameworks? and (vii) What are the limitations and research gaps in the existing work? This study mainly focuses on research solutions and new techniques to automate Industry 4.0. In this research, we analyzed over 130 articles from 2014 until 2021. Health-related limitations prohibit a human from working in hazardous environments, due to which cognitive robots are needed to work there. A robot cannot learn the spatial semantics of the environment or object, which hinders the robot from interacting with the working environment. To overcome this problem, in this work, an agent is computationally devised that mimics the grid and place neuron functionality to learn cognitive maps from the input spatial data of an environment or an object. A novel quadrant-based approach is proposed to model the behavior of the grid neuron, which, like the real grid neuron, is capable of generating periodic hexagonal grid-like output patterns from the input body movement. Furthermore, a cognitive map formation and their learning mechanism are proposed using the place–grid neuron interaction system, which is meant for making predictions of environmental sensations from the body movement. A place sequence learning system is also introduced, which is like an episodic memory of a trip that is forgettable based on their usage frequency and helps in reducing the accumulation of error during a visit to distant places. The model has been deployed and validated in two different spatial data learning applications, one being the 2D object detection by touch, and another is the navigation in an environment. Presently, lightweight devices such as mobile phones, notepads, and laptops are widely used to access the Internet throughout the world; however, a problem of privacy preservation and authentication delay occurs during handover operation when these devices change their position from a home mesh access point (HMAP) to a foreign mesh access point (FMAP). Authentication during handover is mostly performed through ticket-based techniques, which permit the user to authenticate itself to the foreign mesh access point; therefore, a secure communication method should be formed between the mesh entities to exchange the tickets. In two existing protocols, this ticket was not secured at all and exchanged in a plaintext format. We propose a protocol for handover authentication with privacy preservation of the transfer ticket via the Diffie–Hellman method. Ship detection plays a crucial role in marine security in remote sensing imagery. This paper discusses about a deep learning approach to detect the ships from satellite imagery. The model developed in this work achieves integrity by the inclusion of hashing. This model employs a supervised image classification technique to classify images, followed by object detection using You Only Look Once version 3 (YOLOv3) to extract features from deep CNN. Semantic segmentation and image segmentation is done to identify object category of each pixel using class labels. Then, the concept of hashing using SHA-256 is applied in conjunction with the ship count and location of bounding box in satellite image. The proposed model is tested on a Kaggle Ships dataset, which consists of 231,722 images. A total of 70% of this data is used for training, and the 30% is used for testing. To add security to images with detected ships, the model is enhanced by hashing using SHA-256 algorithm. Using SHA-256, which is a one-way hash, the data are split up into blocks of 64 bytes. The input data to the hash function are both the ship count and bounding box location. The proposed model achieves integrity by using SHA-256. Recent technological developments, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, edge, and cloud computing, have paved the way in transforming traditional healthcare systems into smart healthcare (SHC) systems. SHC escalates healthcare management with increased efficiency, convenience, and personalization, via use of wearable devices and connectivity, to access information with rapid responses. Wearable devices are equipped with multiple sensors to identify a person's movements. The unlabeled data acquired from these sensors are directly trained in the cloud servers, which require vast memory and high computational costs. To overcome this limitation in SHC, we propose a federated learning-based person movement identification (FL-PMI). The deep reinforcement learning (DRL) framework is leveraged in FL-PMI for auto-labeling the unlabeled data. The data are then trained using federated learning (FL), in which the edge servers allow the parameters alone to pass on the cloud, rather than passing vast amounts of sensor data. Finally, the bidirectional long short-term memory (BiLSTM) in FL-PMI classifies the data for various processes associated with the SHC. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to find the best place to start a business where there is high demand and no (or very few supply). We measure the quality of recommendation in terms of average service time, customer-business ratio of our new algorithm by implementing in benchmark datasets and the results prove that our algorithm is more efficient than the existing kNN algorithm. Particularly in the last decade, Internet usage has been growing rapidly. However, as the Internet becomes a part of the day to day activities, cybercrime is also on the rise. Cybercrime will cost nearly $6 trillion per annum by 2021 as per the cybersecurity ventures report in 2020. For illegal activities, cybercriminals utilize any network computing devices as a primary means of communication with a victims' devices, so attackers get profit in terms of finance, publicity and others by exploiting the vulnerabilities over the system. Cybercrimes are steadily increasing daily. Evaluating cybercrime attacks and providing protective measures by manual methods using existing technical approaches and also investigations has often failed to control cybercrime attacks. Existing literature in the area of cybercrime offenses suffers from a lack of a computation methods to predict cybercrime, especially on unstructured data. Therefore, this study proposes a flexible computational tool using machine learning techniques to analyze cybercrimes rate at a state wise in a country that helps to classify cybercrimes. Security analytics with the association of data analytic approaches help us for analyzing and classifying offenses from India-based integrated data that may be either structured or unstructured. Diabetic Retinopathy is a major cause of vision loss and blindness affecting millions of people across the globe. Although there are established screening methods - fluorescein angiography and optical coherence tomography for detection of the disease but in majority of the cases, the patients remain ignorant and fail to undertake such tests at an appropriate time. The early detection of the disease plays an extremely important role in preventing vision loss which is the consequence of diabetes mellitus remaining untreated among patients for a prolonged time period. Various machine learning and deep learning approaches have been implemented on diabetic retinopathy dataset for classification and prediction of the disease but majority of them have neglected the aspect of data pre-processing and dimensionality reduction, leading to biased results. The dataset used in the present study is a diabetes retinopathy dataset collected from the UCI machine learning repository. At its inceptions, the raw dataset is normalized using the Standardscalar technique and then Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is used to extract the most significant features in the dataset. Further, Firefly algorithm is implemented for dimensionality reduction. This reduced dataset is fed into a Deep Neural Network Model for classification. The results generated from the model is evaluated against the prevalent machine learning models and the results justify the superiority of the proposed model in terms of Accuracy, Precision, Recall, Sensitivity and Specificity. The enormous popularity of the internet across all spheres of human life has introduced various risks of malicious attacks in the network. The activities performed over the network could be effortlessly proliferated, which has led to the emergence of intrusion detection systems. The patterns of the attacks are also dynamic, which necessitates efficient classification and prediction of cyber attacks. In this paper we propose a hybrid principal component analysis (PCA)-firefly based machine learning model to classify intrusion detection system (IDS) datasets. The dataset used in the study is collected from Kaggle. The model first performs One-Hot encoding for the transformation of the IDS datasets. The hybrid PCA-firefly algorithm is then used for dimensionality reduction. The XGBoost algorithm is implemented on the reduced dataset for classification. A comprehensive evaluation of the model is conducted with the state of the art machine learning approaches to justify the superiority of our proposed approach.
