In this paper, we prove a coincidence point result for a pair of mappings satisfying Edelstein-type contractive condition on fuzzy metric spaces. We describe the equilibrium of a simple demand–supply model of a dynamic market by the coincidence point of demand and supply functions. With the help of the coincidence point theorem in fuzzy metric spaces, it is showed that a dynamic market of a supply-sensitive nature (or demand-sensitive nature) always tends towards its equilibrium. In this paper, we introduce the concept of fuzzy-controlled bipolar metric space and prove some fixed-point theorems in this space. We introduce the novel concept of (α - ψ)-fuzzy contractive mappings on fuzzy double-controlled metric spaces and demonstrate some fixed-point results. The theorems presented generalize some intriguing findings in the literature. Thus, we prove the fixed-point theorem in the settings of fuzzy double-controlled metric spaces. The notion of convergence wins its own important part in the branch of Topology. Convergences in metric spaces, topological spaces, fuzzy topological spaces, fuzzy metric spaces, partially ordered sets (in short, posets), and fuzzy ordered sets (in short, fosets) develop significant chapters that attract the interest of many studies. In particular, statistical and ideal convergences play their own important role in all these areas. A lot of studies have been devoted to these special convergences, and many results have been proven. As a consequence, the necessity to produce and extend new results arises. Since there are many results on different kinds of convergences in different areas, we present a review paper on this research topic in order to collect the most essential results, which leads us to provide open questions for further investigation. More precisely, we present and gather definitions and results which have been proven for different kinds of convergences, mainly on statistical/ideal convergences, in metric spaces, topological spaces, fuzzy topological spaces, fuzzy metric spaces, posets, and fosets. Based on this presentation, we provide new open problems for further investigation on related topics. Removing or reducing noise in color images is one of the most important functions of image processing, which is used in many sciences. In many cases, nonlinear methods significantly reduce the noise in the image and are widely used today. One of these methods is the use of fuzzy logic. In this paper, we want to introduce a fuzzy filter by using the fuzzy metric for fuzzy sets. For this purpose, we define fuzzy color pixels by using the mean of neighborhoods. Due to the noise in the image, we use the bootstrap resampling method to reduce the effect of outliers. In this paper, we first introduce a new family of functions like an implicit function called Γ -functions. Furthermore, we introduce a new concept of α - Γ F -fuzzy contractive mappings, which is weaker than the class of fuzzy F-contractive mappings. Then, the existence and uniqueness of the fixed point are established for a new type of fuzzy contractive mappings in the setting of fuzzy metric spaces. The idea of best proximity points of the fuzzy mappings in fuzzy metric space was intorduced by Vetro and Salimi. We introduce a new type of proximal contractive condition that ensures the existence of best proximity points of fuzzy mappings in the fuzzy complete metric spaces. We establish certain best proximity point theorems for such proximal contractions. We improve and generalize the fuzzy proximal contractions by introducing Ψ , Φ -fuzzy proximal contractions and Ψ , Φ -fuzzy proximal interpolative contractions. In this paper, motivated by the recent result of Sezen, we introduce the notion of fuzzy triple controlled bipolar metric space and prove some fixed point results in this framework. Very recently, by considering a self-mapping T on a complete metric space satisfying a general contractivity condition of the form ψ (d (T x , T y)) ≤ φ (d (x , y)) , Proinov proved some fixed-point theorems, which extended and unified many existing results in the literature. Accordingly, inspired by Proinov-type contraction conditions, Roldán López de Hierro et al. introduced a novel family of contractions in fuzzy metric spaces (in the sense of George and Veeramani), whose main advantage is the very weak constraints imposed on the auxiliary functions that appear in the contractivity condition. They also proved the existence and uniqueness of fixed points for the discussed family of fuzzy contractions in the setting of non-Archimedean fuzzy metric spaces. In this paper, we introduce a new family of fuzzy contractions based on Proinov-type contractions for which the involved auxiliary functions are not supposed to satisfy any monotonicity assumptions; further, we establish some new results about the existence and uniqueness of fixed points. Furthermore, we show how the main results in the above-mentioned paper can be deduced from our main statements. In this way, our conclusions provide a positive partial solution to one of the open problems posed by such authors for deleting or weakening the hypothesis of the nondecreasingness character of the auxiliary functions. Very recently, Proinov introduced a great family of contractions in the setting of complete metric spaces that has attracted the attention of many researchers because of the very weak conditions that are assumed on the involved functions. Inspired by Proinov's results, in this paper, we introduce a new class of contractions in the setting of fuzzy metric spaces (in the sense of George and Veeramani) that are able to translate to this framework the best advantages of the abovementioned auxiliary functions. In this paper, we define and study the Perov fuzzy metric space and the topology induced by this space. We prove Banach contraction theorems. Moreover, we devised new results for Kramosil and Michálek fuzzy metric spaces. In this paper, we firstly introduce the definition of the fuzzy metric of sets, and discuss the properties of fuzzy metric induced by the Hausdorff metric. Then we prove the limit theorems for set-valued random variables in fuzzy metric space; the convergence is about fuzzy metric induced by the Hausdorff metric. The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new type of contraction called fuzzy F-contraction. As compared to the F-contraction in the existing literature, our fuzzy F-contraction is much simpler and more straightforward, since it contains only one condition—that is, the function F is strictly increasing. Moreover, some fixed-point theorems for fuzzy F-contraction are presented. Further, some examples are given to illustrate its validity and superiority. The main aim of the current paper is the investigation of possibilities for improvements and generalizations contractive condition of Ćirić in the fuzzy metric spaces. With the help of C-contractions having a fixed point, we obtain a characterization of complete fuzzy metric spaces, in the sense of Kramosil and Michalek, that extends the classical theorem of H. Hu (see "Am. Math. Month. 1967, 74, 436–437") that a metric space is complete if and only if any Banach contraction on any of its closed subsets has a fixed point. In the present paper some different types of boundedness in fuzzy normed linear spaces of type (X , N , ∗) , where ∗ is an arbitrary t-norm, are considered. These boundedness concepts are very general and some of them have no correspondent in the classical topological metrizable linear spaces. Properties of such bounded sets are given and we make a comparative study among these types of boundedness. Among them there are various concepts concerning symmetrical properties of the studied objects arisen from the classical setting appropriate for this journal topics. The purpose of this paper is to obtain a sufficient condition for a G-Cauchy sequence to be an M-Cauchy sequence in fuzzy metric spaces. In the present paper, we solve the problem of determining the fuzzy distance between two subsets of a fuzzy metric space. We address the problem by reducing it to the problem of finding an optimal approximate solution of a fixed point equation. This approach is well studied for the corresponding problem in metric spaces and is known as proximity point problem. We employ fuzzy weak contractions for that purpose. Fuzzy weak contraction is a recently introduced concept intermediate to a fuzzy contraction and a fuzzy non-expansive mapping. Fuzzy versions of some geometric properties essentially belonging to Hilbert spaces are considered in the main theorem. We include an illustrative example and two corollaries, one of which comes from a well-known fixed point theorem. In this paper, we study those fuzzy metrics M on X, in the George and Veeramani's sense, such that ⋀ t > 0 M (x , y , t) > 0 . The continuous extension M 0 of M to X 2 × 0 , + ∞ is called extended fuzzy metric. We prove that M 0 generates a metrizable topology on X, which can be described in a similar way to a classical metric. M 0 can be used for simplifying or improving questions concerning M; in particular, we expose the interest of this kind of fuzzy metrics to obtain generalizations of fixed point theorems given in fuzzy metric spaces.
