Euler's elastica energy regularizer, initially employed in mathematical and physical systems, has recently garnered much attention in image processing and computer vision tasks. Due to the non-convexity, non-smoothness, and high order of its derivative, however, the term has yet to be effectively applied in 3D reconstruction. To this day, the industry is still searching for 3D reconstruction systems that are robust, accurate, efficient, and easy to use. While implicit surface reconstruction methods generally demonstrate superior robustness and flexibility, the traditional methods rely on initialization and can easily become trapped in local minima. Some low-order variational models are able to overcome these issues, but they still struggle with the reconstruction of object details. Euler's elastica term, on the other hand, has been found to share the advantages of both the TV regularization term and the curvature regularization term. In this paper, we aim to address the problems of missing details and complex computation in implicit 3D reconstruction by efficiently using Euler's elastica term. The main contributions of this article can be outlined in three aspects. Firstly, Euler's elastica is introduced as a regularization term in 3D point cloud reconstruction. Secondly, a new dual algorithm is devised for the proposed model, significantly improving solution efficiency compared to the commonly used TV model. Lastly, numerical experiments conducted in 2D and 3D demonstrate the remarkable performance of Euler's elastica in enhancing features of curved surfaces during point cloud reconstruction. The reconstructed point cloud surface adheres more closely to the initial point cloud surface when compared to the classical TV model. Negative Poisson's ratio materials are increasingly used in the design of vibration isolation bases due to their unique tensile properties. In this paper, based on the expansion feature of the negative Poisson's ratio re-entrant structure, the influence of the size of the re-entrant structure within a single structure was analyzed, and a honeycomb base was designed with a negative Poisson's ratio re-entrant structure. A new modeling method for the honeycomb base is proposed. In the modeling process, the honeycomb base was analyzed according to its symmetry using the Lagrange equation for base modeling and the finite element consistent mass matrix was introduced to simplify the calculation. The vibration isolation performance of the honeycomb base was evaluated by vibration level difference. COMSOL software was used to simulate and analyze the cellular base in order to verify the correctness of the results obtained from numerical modeling. In conclusion, the honeycomb base had a vibration isolation effect on external excitation in the vertical direction of the base. This paper mainly studies the vibration isolation of negative Poisson's ratio structure in the honeycomb base of ships. Based on the structure of the negative Poisson's ratio structure, different laying methods and different cell structure are used to construct the honeycomb base with the re-entrant hexagonal cell, the mathematical expression of Poisson's ratio of a single re-entrant hexagonal cell structure is obtained through theoretical analysis. The negative Poisson ratio and relative density could be got by changing the angle and side thickness of the cell structure. Based on the different energy band of the re-entrant hexagonal cell structure, the different negative Poisson's ratio re-entrant hexagonal honeycomb base was got, the energy band and the frequency response curve of the ship base are analyzed by COMSOL software. The energy band diagram and the frequency response of the structure are obtained to analyze the vibration isolation performance of the honeycomb base. By comparing the experimental results, the following conclusions can be gotten: (1) Compared with the traditional base, the negative Poisson's ratio base has better vibration isolation effect on external excitation; (2) Different laying method and Poisson ratios can get different isolation effect. The combined base structure can provide better isolation effect to the external excitation in a larger frequency band; (3) By adding different mass blocks to the inner or peripheral angles of the basic re-entrant hexagonal cell, the vibration isolation performance of the structure can be changed to better. Using toponym data, population data, and night-time light data, we visualized the development index of the Yi, Wa, Zhuang, Naxi, Hani, and Dai ethnic groups on ArcGIS as well as the distribution of 25 ethnic minorities in the study area. First, we extracted the toponym data of 25 ethnic minorities in the study area, combined with night-time light data and the population proportion data of each ethnic group, then we obtained the development index of each ethnic group in the study area. We compared the development indexes of the Yi, Wa, Zhuang, Naxi, Hani, and Dai ethnic groups with higher development indexes. The results show that the Yi nationality's development index was the highest, reaching 28.86 (with two decimal places), and the Dai nationality's development index was the lowest (15.22). The areas with the highest minority development index were concentrated in the core area of the minority development, and the size varied with the minority's distance. According to the distribution of ethnic minorities, we found that the Yi ethnic group was distributed in almost the entire study area, while other ethnic minorities had obvious geographical distribution characteristics, and there were multiple ethnic minorities living together. This research is of great significance to the cultural protection of ethnic minorities, the development of ethnic minorities, and the remote sensing mapping of lights at night. Aiming at the problem that the estimation of electric power consumption (EPC) by using night-time light (NTL) data is mostly concentrated in large areas, a method for estimating EPC in rural areas is proposed. Rural electric power consumption (REPC) is a key indicator of the national socio-economic development. Despite an improved quality of life in rural areas, there is still a big gap between electricity consumption between rural residents and urban residents in China. The experiment takes REPC as the research target, selects Dehong (DH) Dai Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province as an example, and uses the NTL data from the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) Day–Night Band (DNB) carried by the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (NPP) Satellite from 2012 to 2017, toponym and points-of-interest (POI) data as the main data source. By performing kernel density estimation to extract the urban center and rural area boundaries in the prefecture, and combining the county-level boundary data and electric power data, a linear regression model of the total rural NTL intensity and REPC is estimated. Finally, according to the model, the EPC in ethnic minority rural areas is estimated at a 1-km spatial resolution. The results show that the NPP-REPC model can simulate REPC within a small average error (17.8%). Additionally, there are distinct spatial differences of REPC in ethnic minority areas. As a symbol language, toponyms have inherited the unique local historical culture in the long process of historical development. As the birthplace of Manchu, there are many toponyms originated from multi-ethnic groups (e.g., Manchu, Mongol, Korean, Hui, and Xibe) in Northeast China which possess unique cultural connotations. This study aimed to (1) establish a spatial-temporal database of toponyms in Northeast China using a multi-source data set, and identify their ethnic types and origin times; and (2) explore the geographical distribution characteristics of ethnic toponyms and the evolution of rural settlements by comparing the spatial analysis and spatial information entropy methods. The results found that toponyms reflect not only the spatial distribution characteristics of the density and direction of ethnic groups, but also the migration law of rural settlements. Results also confirm that toponyms contain unique cultural connotations and provide a theoretical basis for the protection and promotion of the cultural connotations of toponyms. This research provides an entropic perspective and method for exploring the spatial-temporal evolutionary characteristics of ethnic groups and toponym mapping. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
