In order to consider the impact of source-load uncertainty on traditional power system planning methods, a medium- and long-term optimization planning method based on source-load uncertainty modeling and time-series production simulation is proposed. First, a new energy output probability model is developed using non-parametric kernel density estimation, and the spatial correlation of the new energy output is described using pair-copula theory to model the uncertainty analysis of the new energy output. Secondly, a large number of source-load scenarios are generated using the Markov chain Monte Carlo simulation method, and the optimal selection method for discrete state numbers is provided, and then the scenario reduction is carried out using the fast forward elimination technology. Finally, the typical time-series curves of the source-load uncertainty characteristics obtained are incorporated into the optimization planning method together with various flexible resources, such as the demand-side response and energy storage, and the rationality of the planning scheme is judged and optimized based on key indicators such as the cost, wind–light abandonment rate, and loss-of-load rate. Based on the above methods, this paper offers an example of the power supply planning scheme for a certain region in the next 30 years, providing effective guidance for the development of new energy in the region. Recently, a large number of Transformer-based solutions have emerged for the trajectory prediction task, but there are shortcomings in the effectiveness of Transformers in trajectory prediction. Specifically, while position encoding preserves some of the ordering information, the self-attention mechanism at the core of the Transformer has its alignment invariance that leads to the loss of temporal information, which is crucial for trajectory prediction. For this reason, we design a simple and efficient strategy for temporal information extraction and prediction of trajectory sequences using the self-attention mechanism and linear layers. The experimental results show that the strategy can improve the average accuracy by 15.31%, effectively combining the advantages of the linear layer and the self-attention mechanism, while compensating for the shortcomings of the Transformer. Grasp planning is crucial for robots to perform precision grasping tasks, where determining the grasp points significantly impacts the performance of the robotic hand. Currently, the majority of grasp planning methods based on analytic approaches solve the problem by transforming it into a nonlinear constrained planning problem. This method often requires performing convex hull computations, which tend to have high computational complexity. This paper proposes a new algorithm for calculating multi-finger force-closure grasps of three-dimensional objects based on humanoid multi-fingered hands. Firstly, sufficient conditions for the multi-finger force-closure grasps of three-dimensional objects are derived from a point contact model with friction. These three-dimensional force-closure conditions are then transformed into two-dimensional plane conditions, leading to a simple algorithm for multi-finger force-closure determination. This method is purely based on geometric analysis, resulting in low computational demands and enabling the rapid assessment of force-closure grasps, which are beneficial for real-time applications. Software-defined networking (SDN) is an emerging networking technology with a central point, called the controller, on the control plane. This controller communicates with the application and data planes. In fifth-generation (5G) mobile wireless networks and beyond, specific levels of service quality are defined for different traffic types. Ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC) is one of the key services in 5G. This paper presents a fuzzy logic (FL)-based dynamic routing (FLDR) mechanism with congestion avoidance for URLLC on SDN-based 5G networks. By periodically monitoring the network status and making forwarding decisions on the basis of fuzzy inference rules, the FLDR mechanism not only can reroute in real time, but also can cope with network status uncertainty owing to FL's fault tolerance capabilities. Three input parameters, normalized throughput, packet delay, and link utilization, were employed as crisp inputs to the FL control system because they had a more accurate correlation with the network performance measures we studied. The crisp output of the FL control system, i.e., path weight, and a predefined threshold of packet loss ratio on a path were applied to make routing decisions. We evaluated the performance of the proposed FLDR mechanism on the Mininet simulator by installing three additional modules, topology discovery, monitoring, and rerouting with FL, on the traditional control plane of SDN. The superiority of the proposed FLDR over the other existing FL-based routing schemes was demonstrated using three performance measures, system throughput, packet loss rate, and packet delay versus traffic load in the system. Bone tissue engineering has seen significant advancements with innovative scaffold fabrication techniques such as 3D printing. This review focuses on enhancing polycaprolactone (PCL) scaffold properties through structural modifications, including surface treatments, pore architecture adjustments, and the incorporation of biomaterials like hydroxyapatite (HA). These modifications aim to improve scaffold conformation, cellular behavior, and mechanical performance, with particular emphasis on the role of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) in bone regeneration. The review also explores the potential of integrating nanomaterials and graphene oxide (GO) to further enhance the mechanical and biological properties of PCL scaffolds. As renewable energy sources such as wind and photovoltaics continue to enter the grid, their intermittency and instability leads to an increasing demand for peaking and frequency regulation. An efficient dynamic monitoring method is necessary to improve the safety level of intelligent operation and maintenance of power stations. To overcome the insufficient detection accuracy and poor adaptability of traditional methods, a novel fault early warning method with careful consideration of dynamic characteristics and model optimization is proposed. A combined loss function is proposed based on the dynamic time warping and the mean square error from the perspective of both shape similarity and time similarity. A prediction model of steam turbine intermediate-stage extraction temperature based on the gate recurrent unit is then proposed, and the change in prediction residuals is utilized as a fault warning criterion. In order to further improve the diagnostic accuracy, a human evolutionary optimization algorithm with lens opposition-based learning is proposed for model parameter adaptive optimization. Experiments on real-world normal and faulty operational data demonstrate that the proposed method can improve the detection accuracy by an average of 1.31% and 1.03% compared to the long short-term memory network, convolutional neural network, back propagation network, extreme learning machines, gradient boosting decision tree, and LightGBM models. Objective: The study aims to explain whether or not minimal invasive surgery (MIS) would be feasible in elbow fracture–dislocation with coronoid process fracture. Methods: At Taipei Veterans General Hospital, patients who had elbow dislocations with coronoid process fractures underwent a single surgeon's MIS techniques which included the fluoroscopy-guided ulnar anteromedial (FGUAM) approach in the stage of reducing the coronoid process. When there is a proximal ulnar fracture, the posterior incision should be necessary, followed by the incision over the lateral or medial elbow for treating radial fractures or ligament injuries. Results: The Flow Diagram for approach recommendation was established on the basis of defining MIS as that which does not include cross-plane dissection. The importance of anterior rigid fixation for the coronoid process was also emphasized. Conclusions: MIS can be achieved by multiple limited surgical incisions. Although the posterior extensile approach is necessary in situations of ulnar metaphysis or ligament avulsion fracture, the FGUAM approach decreases the cross-plane dissection. The Zhegu area in southern Tibet is situated in the central and eastern part of the Tethys Himalayan tectonic belt, with the Kangbuzhenri area being abundant in gneissic granites. This study examines the petrology, chronology, and geochemistry of the Kangbuzhenri gneissic granite, providing insights into its Pan-African and Early Paleozoic geological evolution. The zircon U-Pb chronology indicates an upper intercept age of ~539 Ma, reflecting Pan-African orogenic events in the eastern part of the Tethys Himalayan tectonic belt, and a lower intercept age of ~144 Ma, representing a late tectonic–thermal event. Geochemically, the gneissic granites are calc-alkaline peraluminous rocks with high SiO2 and Al2O3 contents and low TiO2, P2O5, MgO, and FeOT contents. The gneissic granites are enriched in LREE and LILEs (Rb, Pb, Th, U, etc.), but relatively depleted in HREE and HFSEs (Nb, Ti, P, etc.). Most of them show a weak negative δEu anomaly, except for two samples which show a significant negative δEu anomaly due to the crystallization of plagioclase. Based on the above study, most of the gneissic granites exhibited the characteristics of an I-type granite, while two of the samples were a highly differentiated I-type granite with S-type affinities. All the above characteristics indicate that the gneissic granite likely originated from the partial melting of crustal materials and sediments with a minor involvement of mantle-derived materials. Combined with the previous chronological studies, the Kangbuzhenri gneissic granites were formed in an extensional tectonic environment during post-collision orogeny and then they were influenced by the Kerguelen mantle plume tectonic–thermal event around ~144 Ma and the subsequent Southern Tibet Detachment System (STDS). This study investigated the effects of certain roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa Linnaeus) extraction methods on various functional properties, including the antioxidant and antiglycation capacities and bacterial growth inhibition. Roselle anthocyanins were extracted using water and ethanol solvents at different temperatures and concentrations. The results revealed that the extraction rate increased with higher temperatures and ethanol concentrations (p < 0.05). Ethanol extracts exhibited higher total organic acid and total anthocyanin contents compared to water extracts, while water extracts showed higher total saccharide, total polyphenol, and total flavonoid contents (p < 0.05). Furthermore, the water extracts demonstrated superior Trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity (TEAC) values, while the ethanol extracts exhibited better 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging ability, antiglycation capacity, and bacterial growth inhibition. A Pearson correlation analysis revealed strong associations between specific components and functional properties, such as a positive correlation between the total anthocyanin content and antiglycation capacity (R2 = 0.9862). A principal component analysis and agglomerative hierarchical clustering highlighted distinct clusters of water and ethanol extracts, indicating solvent-dependent variations in functional properties. This study assessed roselle extraction models for antioxidant, antiglycation, and antibacterial activities, which could be used for the development of functional alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages. Simple Summary: Ginger and its straw contain not only gingerol and other active ingredients but also proteins, sugars, vitamins, and other nutrients, and are potential feed resources. At present, research on ginger straw feed has mainly focused on pig and poultry breeding, with that related to ruminant animal research being relatively rare. The enzyme silage treatment of ginger straw cannot only effectively be used to retain the nutrients in ginger straw, improve its palatability, and prolong the storage time of the ginger straw, but it can also effectively increase animal digestion. The Laiwu black goat is an excellent local germplasm resource. Here, the effects of enzymatic silage ginger straw silage on growth performance, nutrient digestibility, slaughter performance, muscle quality, serum biochemical indices, intestinal microflora, and antioxidant activity in Laiwu black goats were studied. The aim was to determine the effect of enzymatic silage ginger straw on Laiwu black goat feeding. Laiwu black goats comprise an excellent local germplasm resource; however, a shortage of feed resources has led to the application of unconventional feed. Ginger straw feed has good physiological effects, but research on this feed source for ruminant animals is lacking. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of enzymatic silage ginger straw on Laiwu black goat performance. The experiment used an independent sample t-test analysis method; 24 healthy Laiwu black goats with a body weight of 20.05 ± 1.15 kg and age of 5.67 ± 0.25 months were randomly divided into two groups with three replicates (bars) per group and four goats per replicate. The experimental diet was composed of mixed concentrate, silage, and garlic peel at a 2:7:1 ratio. The silage used in the two groups was whole corn silage (CON group) and 60% whole corn silage plus 40% enzymatic silage ginger straw (SG group), and the other components were identical. Daily feed intake/daily gain (F/G) was significantly higher in the SG group than in the CON group (p < 0.05), but there were no significant differences in dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), and acid detergent fiber (ADF) digestibility between the groups. The shear force, cooking loss, centrifugal loss, and pressure loss of the longissimus dorsi muscle group were significantly lower in the SG than in the CON group (p < 0.05). Compared with those in the CON group, the serum and liver total antioxidant capacity was significantly increased in the SG group, and in the liver, the O2·−, malondialdehyde, and OH· contents were significantly decreased. Collectively, the rumen fluid microbial diversity was changed in the SG group. It was concluded that enzymatic silage ginger straw usage instead of 40% whole silage corn as feed for Laiwu black goats can significantly improve the muscle quality, antioxidant capacity, and intestinal flora, with no adverse effects on production performance. Ultra-high-speed permanent magnet motors (UHSPPMs) are gradually increasing in the number of scenarios to realize energy saving and emission reduction due to their advantages such as high power density and fast response speed, and their accurate design and analysis are becoming more and more important. UHSPMMs need to consider the effects of multiple physical fields such as electromagnetism, force, and heat on their performance and structure due to their high rotational speed and small size. In this paper, firstly, the loss of each component of the motor is accurately calculated, and the distribution of the flow field and temperature field inside the motor is obtained by computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to determine the limiting working conditions of each component of the motor. Secondly, the mechanical stresses of the rotor are calculated at different limiting working conditions, especially the checking of the stresses of the permanent magnets and the sleeves when they are working at different temperature gradients, in order to improve the reliability of the ultra-high-speed rotor. Furthermore, the dynamics analysis is performed for the whole rotor system to ensure stable operation for a long time at the rated working conditions. Finally, the dynamics of the whole rotor system is analyzed to ensure that the ultra-high-speed permanent magnet rotor can operate stably for a long period of time at the rated operating conditions. Based on the theoretical calculations and analyses, a 25 kW, 95 krpm prototype was designed and fabricated, and relevant experimental studies were carried out. Anterior nasal septum abscess is not a rare clinical disease entity. In terms of the etiologies of the disease, bacteria are obviously more common than fungi. Fungal culture and pathological examination are essential for diagnosis of a fungal abscess of the anterior nasal septum and the basis of prescription of antifungal agents. We report a 57-year-old male patient who came to our outpatient clinic due to refractory nasal congestion for 3 weeks despite receiving treatments by a local medical doctor. Radical surgery with postoperative adjuvant radiotherapy for the right buccal cancer was carried out 14 years ago. The patient has diabetes mellitus and the blood sugar level has been well controlled by oral hypoglycemic agents over the past several years. Computed tomography revealed an abscess in the anterior septum along with rhinosinusitis. Incision and drainage of the nasal septum abscess and functional endoscopic sinus surgery were carried out. Fungal culture and pathological examination confirmed a fungal abscess in the anterior nasal septum and fungal ball rhinosinusitis. Antibiotics and an antifungal agent were given, and the postoperative course was uneventful. A dialectical argument was made regarding the causal relationship between the fungal abscess of the anterior nasal septum and maxillary fungal ball sinusitis. A literature review of the previous case reports was carried out to elucidate the immune status of patients of this disease. In order to reach a rapid establishment of a fungal abscess of the anterior nasal septum, clinicians should keep this disease in mind and remain vigilant. An immuno-compromised status is more commonly found in patients with fungal abscess of the anterior nasal septum and is another important characteristic of this disease. We report two rare cases of femoral neck fracture resulting from osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) that was undiagnosed at the patients' initial visits. The patient in the first case had sequential bilateral displaced femoral neck fractures. Because no osteonecrosis of the femoral head was visible on X-ray film and the data of liver function tests were normal, ONFH was not diagnosed. In addition, because the patient was a 55-year-old man with normal everyday functioning, closed reduction with cannulated screws was performed at both visits. Nine months later, he came to our outpatient department with bilateral hip pain; X-rays revealed nonunion and implant failure at both hips. The patient subsequently underwent bilateral total hip arthroplasty (THA) and had a satisfactory outcome at his 4-year follow-up. The patient in the second case had a left displaced femoral neck fracture after trivial trauma two months prior. ONFH was not diagnosed upon examination of X-ray findings. The patient was 52 years old with liver cirrhosis and had bipolar hemiarthroplasty performed because of a chronic displaced fracture and poor general condition. After 2 years, she began to have right hip pain. X-rays revealed massive necrosis and sclerosis of the femoral head. Computed tomography scans for ONFH staging revealed impending fracture lines at the subcapital site of the patient's previous left femoral neck fracture. In regions characterized by the challenging combination of brine corrosion in the salt lakes and river sand with alkali silica reaction (ASR) activity in areas of the Northwest, high-performance concrete (HPC) formulated with high-volume composite mineral admixtures as ASR suppression measures has been preferred for civil engineering structures in the region. This study investigates the splitting tensile strength, corrosion products, microscopic structure characteristics, and mesoscopic mechanical mechanisms of splitting failure of such HPC under 10-year corrosion from salt lake brine. The relationship between mechanical properties and corrosion damage, as well as the characteristics of internal crack propagation paths and failure mechanisms of HPC under splitting load, are explored. The findings reveal that as the alkali content within HPC rises, corrosion damage intensifies, resulting in a reduction in splitting tensile strength. Moreover, a linear association between mechanical properties and corrosion damage is observed. Microscopic structural analysis and numerical simulation of the splitting failure process of HPC elucidate that while the substantial presence of mineral admixtures effectively suppresses the ASR risk associated with alkali-reactive aggregates in concrete, uneven ASR gel products persist. These discontinuous micro-fine interface cracks induced by the gel products and the cracks induced by the gel products around the selective alkali-active aggregate particles distributed in the local area are the initiation sources of mortar cracks in HPC splitting failure. In terms of the overall failure state observed during the concrete splitting process, mortar cracks manifest two distinct extension paths: along the coarse aggregate interface and directly through the aggregates themselves. Notably, a greater proportion of coarse aggregates are directly penetrated by mortar cracks, as opposed to the number of interface failures bypassing coarse aggregates. More importantly, the above work establishes a theoretical reference in three dimensions: macroscopic, mesoscopic, and microscopic, for studying concrete corrosion damage in complex environments such as salt lake brine corrosion and ASR inhibition. Food-borne bioactive peptides have shown promise in preventing and mitigating alcohol-induced liver injury. This study was the first to assess the novel properties of Mactra chinenesis peptides (MCPs) in mitigating acute alcoholic liver injury in mice, and further elucidated the underlying mechanisms associated with this effect. The results showed that MCPs can improve lipid metabolism by modulating the AMPK signaling pathway, decreasing fatty acid synthase activity, and increasing carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1a activity. Meanwhile, MCPs ameliorate inflammation by inhibiting the NF-κB activation, leading to reduced levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines (tumor necrosis factor-α and interleukin-1β). Additionally, a 16S rDNA sequencing analysis revealed that MCPs can restore the balance of gut microbiota and increase the relative abundance of beneficial bacteria. These findings suggest that supplementation of MCPs could attenuate alcohol intake-induced acute liver injury, and, thus, may be utilized as a functional dietary supplement for the successful treatment and prevention of acute liver injury. Octocoral of the genus Clavularia is a kind of marine invertebrate possessing abundant cytotoxic secondary metabolites, such as prostanoids and dolabellanes. In our continuous natural product study of C. spp., two previously undescribed prostanoids [clavulone I-15-one (1) and 12-O-deacetylclavulone I (2)] and eleven known analogs (3–13) were identified. The structures of these new compounds were elucidated based on analysis of their 1D and 2D NMR, HRESIMS, and IR data. Additionally, all tested prostanoids (1 and 3–13) showed potent cytotoxic activities against the human oral cancer cell line (Ca9-22). The major compound 3 showed cytotoxic activity against the Ca9-22 cells with the IC50 value of 2.11 ± 0.03 μg/mL, which echoes the cytotoxic effect of the coral extract. In addition, in silico tools were used to predict the possible effects of isolated compounds on human tumor cell lines and nitric oxide production, as well as the pharmacological potentials. Photopolymers, especially acrylate-based ones with low cost and simple preparation, are promising materials for high-efficiency holographic gratings. However, it is still challenging to achieve high-performance gratings, due to the influences of many factors. In this work, we found that the dark reaction plays a critical role. The effect of the dark reaction on the optical properties of holographic gratings was investigated. Experimental results reveal that the diffraction efficiency of the gratings can be improved by a factor of three by involving the dark reaction process, and the highest diffraction efficiency for gratings can reach 97.8% after optimization. Therefore, the dark reaction can greatly enhance the optical performance of acrylate-based holographic gratings and other optical elements, thus holding great potential for many applications. Through the actions and interactions of video platform users, talent shows have expanded from the entertainment sphere to the social sphere and become an everyday part of life. Watching talent shows on online platforms, especially through participation in multi-platform interaction, is an ever developing and innovative field in many regions. This study adopts a multiple case analysis approach. We analyze and compare three cases of talent shows, examining aspects of their value co-creation, digital platform, dynamic capability and value network through an exploration of a series of creative activities on digital video platforms. Talent shows provide a unique environment in which different actors interact, co-exist and co-create value, i.e., another form of O2O marketing. These actors include producers, entertainment companies, sponsors and fans, and fan value co-creation currently takes many different forms, which are experienced, engaged and interacted with through different platforms. The findings contribute to examining the underlying dynamics of TV talent shows, in addition to explaining how they are achieving sustainable advantages in the media market. It is very important for the wind-resistant design of high-rise buildings to assess wind-induced vibrations efficiently. The Lattice Boltzmann Method-based Large Eddy Simulation and Fluid–Structure Interaction techniques are used to identify the surface wind pressure and wind-induced dynamic response of a CAARC standard high-rise building. Compared with wind tunnel tests, a detailed analysis of the accuracy of simulated wind pressures and base moments of the CAARC model are discussed under multiple wind direction angles. The differences between one-way and two-way Fluid–Structure Interaction simulations are compared under two different reduced wind velocities. The research results show that the simulated mean surface wind pressures of building under seven wind direction conditions have an error within 15% compared to probe measurements, and the average and root mean square base bending moments agree well with the wind tunnel tests. The top transverse wind-induced vibrations of the buildings are significantly larger when the reduced wind velocity reaches 4.6, indicating that aerodynamic damping effects on structural responses should not be overlooked. In recent years, Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam. (jackfruit) polysaccharides (namely JFP-Ps) have attracted much attention due to their multiple biological activities. This study aimed to explore the protective effects and the underlying mechanisms of JFP-Ps on cyclophosphamide (Cp)-induced liver damage. The protective effect of JFP-Ps was evaluated using HE staining, antioxidant testing, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR), Western blot and ultra-performance liquid chromatography equipped with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS) metabolomics analysis. The results showed that Cp caused pathological liver damage, activated oxidative stress and downregulated cytokine expression, while JFP-Ps treatment was found to exert antioxidant effects and play immune regulatory roles through mitogen-activated protein kinase/nuclear factor-κB (MAPK/NF-κB) related inflammation and cell apoptosis pathways to protect the Cp-induced liver injury. Metabolomic results showed that the liver-protective effects of JFP-Ps were mainly related to aminoacyl transfer ribonucleic acid (tRNA) biosynthesis, sphingolipid metabolism, purine metabolism and the citrate cycle. An in vitro gastrointestinal digestion model was applied to investigate the effect of digestion on the phenolic compounds and antioxidant capacity of Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam. (jackfruit) pulp. The total phenol content (TPC) was determined using Folin–Ciocalteu method, and the antioxidant activities were evaluated by DPPH and ABTS assays. Phenolic compounds were analyzed using ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with electrospray ionization, followed by quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UPLC-ESI-Q-TOF-MS/MS). The results showed that TPC was significantly higher after gastric digestion. Thirty phenolic compounds (hydroxybenzoic acids and derivatives, hydroxycinnamic acids and derivatives, and flavonoids) were identified. The antioxidant activities of the digested samples varied with the TPC, and there was a correlation between antioxidant activity and TPC. The present study implies that gastrointestinal digestion may improve TPC and increase the amount of free phenolic compounds, mainly related to changes in pH value and digestive enzymes. The influence of lithology and slope position on arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) communities has been explored in various ecosystems, but there is a limited understanding of these mechanisms in karst regions. This study focused on typical karst hills with contrasting lithologies, specifically dolomite and limestone. Additionally, three slope positions (upper, middle, and lower) were investigated within each hill in karst forest ecosystems. Total phosphorus (TP) content in the soil was higher in dolomite compared to limestone. Conversely, exchangeable calcium (Ca) was lower in dolomite than in limestone. Notably, the lithology, rather than the slope position, exerted a significant impact on AMF diversity and abundance and the presence of specific AMF taxa. Dolomite exhibited greater AMF richness and a higher Shannon index in comparison to limestone when not accounting for slope position. The AMF community composition differed between dolomite and limestone. For instance, without considering slope position, the relative abundance of Acaulospora, Diversispora, and Paraglomus was higher in dolomite than in limestone, while the relative abundance of Claroideoglomus displayed an opposing trend. Furthermore, a more complex interaction among AMF taxa was observed in dolomite as compared to limestone, as evidenced by an increase in the number of nodes and edges in the co-occurrence networks within the dolomite. The genera Glomus, Claroideoglomus, and Diversispora exhibited a higher number of links with each other and with other AMF taxa. The study identified TP and Ca as the primary factors determining variations in AMF diversity between dolomite and limestone. Stockouts constitute a major challenge in the retail industry. Stockouts are caused by errors related to manual stockkeeping and by the misplacement of items on shelves. Such errors account for up to 4% of lost sales. Real-time inventory management systems for misplaced items or missing stock detection in retail stores are limited. Accordingly, a conductive polymer-based interactive shelving system for real-time inventory management is developed. The system comprises an 80 × 48 sensor array fabricated by screen-printing a piezoresistive carbon-based conductive polymer layer onto gold interdigitated electrodes deposited on a flexible substrate. Each sensing pixel has dimensions of 5 mm × 5 mm and a sensing area of 4 mm × 4 mm. The sensor mat can detect the shape and weight features of stockkeeping units (SKUs), which can then be analyzed by a TensorFlow model for SKU identification. The developed system is characterized for functional resistance range, uniformity, repeatability, and durability. The accuracy of SKU identification achieved using shape features only and the accuracy of SKU identification achieved using both shape and weight features is 95% and 99.2%, respectively. The key novelty of the work is the development of a deep learning-embedded interactive smart shelving system for retail inventory management by using the shape and weight features of SKU. Also, the developed system helps to detect the SKU if they are stacked one over the other. Furthermore, multiple sensor mats implemented on various shelves in a retail store can be modularized and integrated for monitoring under the control of a single PC. Obesity is a metabolic dysfunction characterized by excessive body fat deposition as a consequence of an energy imbalance. Novel therapeutic strategies have emerged that are safe and have comparatively low side effects for obesity treatment. Functional foods and nutraceuticals have recently received a great deal of attention because of their components with the properties of antimetabolic syndrome. Based on our previous in vitro and in vivo investigations on anti-adipogenesis activity and improved body fat accumulation in serials, the combination of three ingredients (including bainiku-ekisu, black garlic, and Mesona procumbens Hemsl), comprising the Mei-Gin formula (MGF), was eventually selected as a novel inhibitor that exhibited preventive effects against obesity. Herein, we verify the anti-obesity effects of MGF in obese rats induced by a high-fat diet and discuss the potential molecular mechanisms underlying obesity development. Oral administration of MGF significantly suppressed the final body weight, weight change, energy and water intake, subcutaneous and visceral fat mass, liver weight, hepatic total lipids and triglycerides (TG), and serum levels of TG, triglycerides (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), alanine transaminase (AST), uric acid, and ketone bodies and augmented fecal total lipids, TG, and cholesterol excretion in the high-dose MGF-supplemented groups. Furthermore, the corresponding lipid metabolic pathways revealed that MGF supplementation effectively increased lipolysis and fatty acid oxidation gene expression and attenuated fatty acid synthesis gene expression in the white adipose tissue (WAT) and liver and it also increased mitochondrial activation and thermogenic gene expression in the brown adipose tissue (BAT) of rats with obesity induced by a high-fat diet (HFD). These results demonstrate that the intake of MGF can be beneficial for the suppression of HFD-induced obesity in rats through the lipolysis, fatty oxidation, and thermogenesis pathway. The impact of sleep deprivation on working memory can only be reversed by recovery sleep (RS). However, there are limited electrophysiological studies on the effect of RS on the improvement in working memory after sleep deprivation, and the changes in the early components of event-related potentials (ERPs) before and after RS are still unclear. Therefore, this study aims to explore the effects of RS on the earlier ERP components related to object working memory following 36 h of total sleep deprivation (TSD). Twenty healthy male participants performed an object working memory task after 36 h of TSD and after 8 h of RS. Electroencephalogram data were recorded accordingly while the task was performed. Repeated ANOVA showed that P2 amplitudes related to object working memory decreased significantly after 8 h of RS compared to after a 36 h period of TSD, but there was no significant difference from baseline (BS), which indicates a trend of recovery to the baseline state. An 8 h RS can partially improve impaired object working memory caused by TSD. However, a longer period of RS is needed for the complete recovery of cognitive function after a long period of TSD. Five new eudensamane-type sesquiterpene lactones, clasamanes A–E (1–5), three new dolabellane-type diterpenes, clabellanes A–C (6–8), and fifteen known compounds (9–23) were isolated from the ethanolic extract of Taiwanese soft coral Clavularia spp. The structures of all undescribed components (1–8) were determined by analysis of IR, mass, NMR, and UV spectroscopic data. The absolute configuration of new compounds was determined by using circular dichroism and DP4+ calculations. The cytotoxic activities of all isolated marine natural products were evaluated. Among amniotic skin appendages, avian feathers and mammalian hairs protect their stem cells in specialized niches, located in the collar bulge and hair bulge, respectively. In chickens and alligators, label retaining cells (LRCs), which are putative stem cells, are distributed in the hinge regions of both avian scutate scales and reptilian overlapping scales. These LRCs take part in scale regeneration. However, it is unknown whether other types of scales, for example, symmetrically shaped reticulate scales, have a similar way of preserving their stem cells. In particular, the foot sole represents a special interface between animal feet and external environments, with heavy mechanical loading. This is different from scutate-scale-covered metatarsal feet that function as protection. Avian reticulate scales on foot soles display specialized characteristics in development. They do not have a placode stage and lack β-keratin expression. Here, we explore the molecular and cellular characteristics of avian reticulate scales. RNAscope analysis reveals different molecular profiles during surface and hinge determination compared with scutate scales. Furthermore, reticulate scales express Keratin 15 (K15) sporadically in both surface- and hinge-region basal layer cells, and LRCs are not localized. Upon wounding, the reticulate scale region undergoes repair but does not regenerate. In the 802.11 protocol, the fundamental medium access mechanism is called Distributed Coordination Function (DCF). In DCF, before making any transmission attempt, the nodes count down a timer with a value randomly selected from the Contention Window (CW) size. If the transmitted packet is involved in a collision, the node increases the CW size in an attempt to reduce the collision rate. Conversely, if the packet is transmitted successfully, the node reduces the CW size in order to increase the frequency of the transmission attempts. The growth or reduction in the CW size has a critical effect on the network performance. Several backoff algorithms have been proposed to improve the system throughput. However, none of these methods enable the system to approach the theoretical maximum throughput possible under DCF. Accordingly, this study proposes the Rapidly Adaptive Collision Backoff (RACB) algorithm, in which the CW size is adjusted dynamically based on the collision rate, as analyzed by a mathematical model. Notably, RACB requires no knowledge of the number of nodes in the wireless network and is applicable to both lightly loaded and heavily loaded networks. The numerical results show that, by adjusting the CW size such that the collision rate is maintained at a value close to 0.1, RACB enables the system throughput to approach the maximum DCF throughput in wireless environments containing any number of nodes. This study conducts a comparative analysis of the performance of Islamic and conventional indices in both developed and developing countries and territories, considering the pre- and post-COVID-19 pandemic periods. The research employs performance index tools and time–frequency wavelet-based analysis to assess how the COVID-19 pandemic affected the performance, volatility, and co-movement of Islamic and conventional stock indices. The findings reveal that Islamic stock indices are more resilient and tend to outperform conventional stocks during crisis periods in both developed and developing countries and territories, and this trend holds true in the long and short term across most countries. The analysis of wavelet coherence indicates a strong co-movement and coherence between Islamic and conventional indices. Furthermore, the study reveals that in developing countries and territories, the co-movement is characterized by weak coherence and high volatility compared to developed countries and territories. The study highlights the significance of Islamic indices as safe havens for investors during times of crisis, suggesting that including Islamic equities in investment portfolios can potentially yield higher returns compared to conventional indices. This research holds practical value for individual traders involved in the online trading of global stock indices, aiding them in constructing and designing internationally diversified portfolios. The rise in population, urbanization, and industrial developments have led to a substantial increase in waste generation and energy demand, posing significant challenges for waste management as well as energy conservation and production. Bioenergy conversions have been merged as advanced, sustainable, and integrated solutions for these issues, encompassing energy generation and waste upcycling of different types of organic waste. Municipal solid waste (MSW) and agricultural residues (AR) are two main resources for bioenergy conversions. Bioenergy production involves feedstock deconstruction and the conversion of platform chemicals to energy products. This review provides a detailed overview of waste sources, biofuel, and bioelectricity production from fermentation and microbial fuel cell (MFC) technology, and their economic and environmental perspectives. Fermentation plays a critical role in liquid biofuel production, while MFCs demonstrate promising potential for simultaneous production of electricity and hydrogen. Fermentation and MFCs hold a significant potential to be integrated into a single pipeline, enabling the conversion of organic matter, including a variety of waste material and effluent, into diverse forms of bioenergy via microbial cultures under mild conditions. Furthermore, MFCs are deemed a promising technology for pollutant remediation, reducing COD levels while producing bioenergy. Importantly, the consolidated fermentation–MFC system is projected to produce approximately 7.17 trillion L of bioethanol and 6.12 × 104 MW/m2 of bioelectricity from MSW and AR annually, contributing over USD 465 billion to the global energy market. Such an integrated system has the potential to initiate a circular economy, foster waste reduction, and improve waste management practices. Danshen has been widely used for the treatment of central nervous system diseases. We investigated the effect of dihydroisotanshinone I (DT), a compound extracted from Danshen, as well as the corresponding mechanisms in an in vitro-based 6-OHDA-induced Parkinson's disease (PD) model. SH-SY5Y human neuroblastoma cell lines were pretreated with 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) and challenged with DT. Subsequently, the cell viability and levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and caspase-3 were analyzed. The effect of DT on the 6-OHDA-treated SH-SY5Y cells and the expression of the core circadian clock genes were measured using a real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Our results indicated that DT attenuated the 6-OHDA-induced cell death in the SH-SY5Y cells and suppressed ROS and caspase-3. Moreover, DT reversed both the RNA and protein levels of BMAL1 and SIRT1 in the 6-OHDA-treated SH-SY5Y cells. Additionally, the SIRT1 inhibitor attenuated the effect of DT on BMAL1 and reduced the cell viability. The DT and SIRT1 activators activated SIRT1 and BMAL1, and then reduced the death of the SH-SY5Y cells damaged by 6-OHDA. SIRT1 silencing was enhanced by DT and resulted in a BMAL1 downregulation and a reduction in cell viability. In conclusion, our investigation suggested that DT reduces cell apoptosis, including an antioxidative effect due to a reduction in ROS, and regulates the circadian genes by enhancing SIRT1 and suppressing BMAL1. We investigated the prognostic utility of preoperative neck lymph node-to-primary tumor maximum standardized uptake value ratios (NTRs) in oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 141 consecutive patients who were diagnosed as having OSCC and had received fluorodeoxyglucose–positron emission tomography within 2 weeks prior to radical surgery between 2009 and 2018. To determine the optimal NTR cutoff, receiver operating characteristic analysis for overall survival (OS) was executed. The NTR's prognostic value for disease-free survival (DFS) and OS were determined through Cox proportional hazards analysis and the Kaplan–Meier method. We determined the median (range) follow-up duration to be 35.2 (2.1–122.4) months. The optimal NTR cutoff was 0.273, and patients with a higher NTR (≥0.273) exhibited significantly worse DFS and OS (p = 0.010 and 0.003, respectively). A higher NTR (≥0.273) predicted poorer DFS (hazard ratio: 2.696, p = 0.008) and OS (hazard ratio: 4.865, p = 0.003) in multivariable analysis. We created a nomogram on the basis of the NTR, and it could accurately predict OS (concordance index: 0.774). Preoperative NTRs may be a useful prognostic biomarker for DFS and OS in patients with OSCC who have undergone surgery. NTR-based nomograms may also be helpful prognostic tools in clinical trials. Green bonds play a pivotal role in promoting sustainability by channeling financial resources towards environmentally friendly projects, fostering a greener and more resilient future. This research investigates the role of "Green Bonds" in the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on two specific goals: climate action, represented by per capita carbon emissions (CO2), and clean energy, represented by per capita renewable energy production. Using data from 2007, when the first green bond was issued, up to 2021, we employed a one-step generalized method of moments (GMM) model to explore how green bonds impact global emission reduction and the increase in renewable energy production. The findings demonstrate that green bonds have a significant influence on both emissions and renewable energy production. Specifically, green bonds and renewable energy production have a positive and significant association, while emissions exhibit a negative relationship with green bonds. Our results reported a reduction in carbon emissions up to 0.8 tons, while an increase in renewable energy up to 66 kWh. Upon analyzing the data before and after 2015, we observe that prior to 2015, there was no significant effect of green bonds on emissions and renewable energy production. However, after 2015, green bonds substantially impacted both indicators. Furthermore, our results indicate that countries with higher green bond issuance are more likely to achieve their sustainability goals, particularly in terms of renewable energy production and carbon emission reductions. This paper proposes a novel convolution–non-convolution parallel deep network (CNCP)-based method for electricity theft detection. First, the load time series of normal residents and electricity thieves were analyzed and it was found that, compared with the load time series of electricity thieves, the normal residents' load time series present more obvious periodicity in different time scales, e.g., weeks and years; second, the load times series were converted into 2D images according to the periodicity, and then electricity theft detection was considered as an image classification issue; third, a novel CNCP-based method was proposed in which two heterogeneous deep neural networks were used to capture the features of the load time series in different time scales, and the outputs were fused to obtain the detection result. This paper proposes a novel torque ripple model of V-Shape interior permanent magnet (IPM) synchronous machine based on the general field modulation theory (GAFMT). Firstly, the magnetic field modulation behavior of a 12-stator-slot/8-rotor-pole (12/8) IPM machine is discussed, where the expressions of permanent-magnet-excited (PM-excited) and armature fields are derived. Secondly, the total torque ripple is divided into three components, namely, the PM-excited cogging torque, the armature cogging torque, and the modulation torque ripple. Additionally, the relationship between the field harmonics and the torque ripple is discussed based on the GAFMT. Then, a finite element analysis (FEA)-assisted dual fast Fourier transformation (FFT) method is proposed to obtain the accurate value of the field amplitude for torque ripple calculation. The field analysis results based on the GAFMT and the proposed torque ripple are then validated by comparing their results with those obtained from the FEA simulations, and a good agreement is observed, demonstrating the effectiveness of the field analysis and the proposed torque ripple model. Finally, experiments on a prototype 12/8 IPM machine demonstrate the validity of the torque ripple model, providing an effective method for torque ripple suppression of IPM machines. Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) plays a decisive role in kidney health and disease. H2S can ben synthesized via enzymatic and non-enzymatic pathways, as well as gut microbial origins. Kidney disease can originate in early life induced by various maternal insults throughout the process, namely renal programming. Sulfur-containing amino acids and sulfate are essential in normal pregnancy and fetal development. Dysregulated H2S signaling behind renal programming is linked to deficient nitric oxide, oxidative stress, the aberrant renin–angiotensin–aldosterone system, and gut microbiota dysbiosis. In animal models of renal programming, treatment with sulfur-containing amino acids, N-acetylcysteine, H2S donors, and organosulfur compounds during gestation and lactation could improve offspring's renal outcomes. In this review, we summarize current knowledge regarding sulfide/sulfate implicated in pregnancy and kidney development, current evidence supporting the interactions between H2S signaling and underlying mechanisms of renal programming, and recent advances in the beneficial actions of sulfide-related interventions on the prevention of kidney disease. Modifying H2S signaling is the novel therapeutic and preventive approach to reduce the global burden of kidney disease; however, more work is required to translate this into clinical practice. In this study, polysaccharide–rich Nymphaea hybrid extracts (NHE) were obtained using the ultrasound-assisted cellulase extraction (UCE) method optimized by response surface methodology (RSM). The structural properties and thermal stability of NHE were characterized by Fourier-transform infrared (FT–IR), high–performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and thermogravimetry–derivative thermogravimetry (TG–DTG) analysis, respectively. Moreover, the bioactivities of NHE, including the antioxidant, anti–inflammatory, whitening and scratch healing activities were evaluated by different in vitro assays. NHE conveyed a good ability to scavenge against the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radicals and inhibit the hyaluronidase activity. NHE can effectively protect the HaCaT cells against oxidative damage by inhibiting the intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) production in the H2O2 stimulation assays and promoting the proliferation and migration in the scratch assays. In addition, NHE was proven to inhibit melanin production in B16 cells. Collectively, the above results seem to be the evidence needed to promote the potential of NHE to be regarded as a new functional raw material in the cosmetics or food industries. Simple Summary: We introduced a novel squamous cell carcinoma inflammatory index (SCI) derived by multiplying the serum squamous cell carcinoma antigen and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio values for individuals with operable oral cavity squamous cell carcinomas (OSCCs). The prognostic value of SCI was explored by retrospectively analyzing data from 288 patients with a diagnosis of primary OSCC between January 2008 and December 2017. The current results demonstrated that patients with a high SCI (≥3.45) were associated with worse disease-free survival and overall survival than those with a low SCI (<3.45). An elevated preoperative SCI (≥3.45) predicted adverse overall survival (hazard ratio [HR] = 2.378; p < 0.002) and disease-free survival (HR = 2.219; p < 0.001) in a multivariable analysis. The constructed nomogram enables the clinical utility of the SCI and provides accurate OS predictions. Our findings indicate that SCI is a valuable and promising biomarker that is highly associated with patient survival outcomes in OSCC. Dry electroencephalogram (EEG) systems have a short set-up time and require limited skin preparation. However, they tend to require strong electrode-to-skin contact. In this study, dry EEG electrodes with low contact impedance (<150 kΩ) were fabricated by partially embedding a polyimide flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) in polydimethylsiloxane and then casting them in a sensor mold with six symmetrical legs or bumps. Silver–silver chloride paste was used at the exposed tip of each leg or bump that must touch the skin. The use of an FPCB enabled the fabricated electrodes to maintain steady impedance. Two types of dry electrodes were fabricated: flat-disk electrodes for skin with limited hair and multilegged electrodes for common use and for areas with thick hair. Impedance testing was conducted with and without a custom head cap according to the standard 10–20 electrode arrangement. The experimental results indicated that the fabricated electrodes exhibited impedance values between 65 and 120 kΩ. The brain wave patterns acquired with these electrodes were comparable to those acquired using conventional wet electrodes. The fabricated EEG electrodes passed the primary skin irritation tests based on the ISO 10993-10:2010 protocol and the cytotoxicity tests based on the ISO 10993-5:2009 protocol. (1) Background: Physiological changes in nasal patency in response to posture contribute to sleep-related problems. Previously, we reported that the supine and prone positions cause a significant decrease in nasal patency in subjective and objective assessments of healthy individuals. Therefore, we conducted a study to evaluate the effect of posture on nasal patency in patients with allergic rhinitis (AR); (2) Methods: The present study comprised 30 patients diagnosed with AR and 30 healthy subjects without nasal disease (non-AR). Changes in nasal patency were evaluated in the sitting, supine, and prone positions. We used the visual analog scale to evaluate subjective nasal blockage. Acoustic rhinometry and endoscopy were used to objectively measure changes in nasal patency; (3) Results: In the non-AR group, the prone position had a significant effect on subjective nasal blockage compared with the sitting position, with significant decreases in the minimal cross-sectional area (mCSA) measured by acoustic rhinometry. Furthermore, endoscopy demonstrated a significantly increased inferior turbinate hypertrophy in the non-AR group. In the AR group, there was no statistical difference in subjective nasal blockage symptoms between the different positions. Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) is common among children and can be fatal in certain conditions. In children, CAP can be caused by viral or bacterial infections. Identification of pathogens can help select appropriate therapeutic strategies. Salivary analysis may be a potential diagnostic tool because it is noninvasive, patient-friendly, and easy to perform in children. A prospective study was conducted in children with pneumonia admitted to a hospital. Salivary samples from patients with definite Streptococcus pneumoniae and influenza A strains were used for gel-free (isobaric tag for relative and absolute quantitation (iTRAQ)) proteomics. No statistically significant difference was detected in salivary CRP levels between Streptococcus pneumoniae and influenza A pneumonia in children. Several potential salivary biomarkers were identified using gel-free iTRAQ proteomics to differentiate pneumonia from Streptococcus pneumoniae or influenza A virus infections in pediatric patients. ELISA validated that Streptococcus pneumoniae group has a higher abundance of salivary alpha 1-antichymotrypsin than those in the influenza A group. The mold Monascus, also called red yeast rice, anka, or koji, has been used as the natural food coloring agent and food additives for more than 1000 years in Asian countries. It has also been used in Chinese herbology and traditional Chinese medicine due to its easing digestion and antiseptic effects. However, under different culture conditions, the ingredients in Monascus-fermented products may be changed. Therefore, an in-depth understanding of the ingredients, as well as the bioactivities of Monascus-derived natural products, is important. Here, through the thorough investigation into the chemical constituents of M. purpureus wmd2424, five previously undescribed compounds, monascuspurins A–E (1–5), were isolated from the EtOAc extract of mangrove-derived fungus Monascus purpureus wmd2424 cultured in RGY medium. All the constituents were confirmed via HRESIMS and 1D- and 2D-NMR spectroscopy. Their antifungal activity was also evaluated. Our results showed that four constituents (compounds 3–5) possessed mild antifungal activity against Aspergillus niger, Penicillium italicum, Candida albicans, and Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Partial substitution of flour with soy protein isolate in bread making increases the protein content and nutritional value of baked goods as it contains more lysine than wheat flour. However, changes in the bread recipe alter the pH and amino acid content of the baked good, and product assessment is required to determine whether the product is a non-time/temperature control for safety food. This study examines the effects of substituting high-gluten flour with 2–8% soy protein isolate on bread quality and on the shelf life of the bread using the microbiological challenge test. The results indicate that increased soy protein isolate substitution reduces the volume and specific volume of bread. Six percent soy protein isolate-fortified bread also had a poorer taste, and, therefore, the optimal substitution amount is 4%. Based on the yeast and mold growth during the storage period, the 4% soy protein isolate-fortified bread has a shelf life of four days, while the 2% soy protein isolate-fortified bread has a shelf life of five days. The microbiological challenge test results revealed that the substitution of flour with soy protein isolate is conducive to Staphylococcus aureus growth within the bread. Acute epiglottitis (AE) is a potential emergency of the respiratory tract caused mainly by bacterial infection. However, nonbacterial infection causes, such as corrosive injuries, may result in death due to gastrointestinal perforation if a timely diagnosis is not available. We report the case of an elderly patient with an acute melancholic episode who encountered corrosive epiglottitis (CE) caused by accidental ingestion of hydrochloric acid and compare the features of CE and AE, including the immediate onset of symptoms, normal findings on blood tests, and endoscopy revealing pale swollen epiglottitis. This case can prove to be an important reference for clinicians for differential diagnosis, especially when treating epiglottitis in patients with psychiatric disorders and unclear expression. Background: To investigate the potential anti-obesity properties of an innovative functional formula (called the Mei-Gin formula: MGF) consisting of bainiku-ekisu, Prunus mume (70% ethanol extract), black garlic (water extract), and Mesona procumbens Hemsl. (40% ethanol extract) for reducing lipid accumulation in 3T3-L1 adipocytes in vitro and obese rats in vivo. Material and Methods: The prevention and regression of high-fat diet (HFD)-induced obesity by the intervention of Japan Mei-Gin, MGF-3 and -7, and positive health supplement powder were investigated in male Wistar rats. The anti-obesity effects of MGF-3 and -7 in rats with HFD-induced obesity were examined by analyzing the role of visceral and subcutaneous adipose tissue in the development of obesity. Results: The results indicated that MGF-1-7 significantly suppressed lipid accumulation and cell differentiation through the down-regulation of GPDH activity, as a key regulator in the synthesis of triglycerides. Additionally, MGF-3 and MGF-7 exhibited a greater inhibitory effect on adipogenesis in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. The high-fat diet increased body weight, liver weight, and total body fat (visceral and subcutaneous fat) in obese rats, while these alterations were effectively improved by the administration of MGF-3 and -7, especially MGF-7. Conclusion: This study highlights the role of the Mei-Gin formula, particularly MGF-7, in anti-obesity action, which has the potential to be used as a therapeutic agent for the prevention or treatment of obesity. Pinus morrisonicola hay (PM) is a pine tree unique to Taiwan, whose needles are used as traditional medicine and as functional drink. PME3-1 was made using supercritical extraction to evaluate the prevention of hyperlipidemia. This study explored the hypolipidemic effect of PME3-1 on hamsters on a high fat and cholesterol (HFC) diet. Three groups of hamsters were fed with PME3-1 (0.2, 1.0, and 5.0 mg/kg bw). After feeding for eight weeks, PME3-1 reduced the serum cholesterol, triglyceride levels, the low-density lipoprotein cholesterol/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL/HDL) ratio, and the swelling of the liver and kidney significantly (p < 0.05). In addition, feeding the hamsters with 5.0 mg/kg bw of PME3-1 could significantly reduce their total lipid (TL) content, total cholesterol (TC) content, total triglyceride (TG) content, and the HMG-CoA reductase activity in the liver (p < 0.05). Meanwhile, the antioxidant enzymes in the liver, glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and glutathione S-transferase (GST), can also improve, promoting the excretion of triglycerides (TG) and total cholesterol (TC) in the feces (p < 0.05).
