Seismic surface waves carry significant energy that poses a major threat to structures and may trigger damage to buildings. To address this issue, the implementation of periodic barriers around structures has proven effective in attenuating seismic waves and minimizing structural dynamic response. This paper introduces a framework for seismic surface wave barriers designed to generate multiple ultra-low-frequency band gaps. The framework employs the finite-element method to compute the frequency band gap of the barrier, enabling a deeper understanding of the generation mechanism of the frequency band gap based on vibrational modes. Subsequently, the transmission rates of elastic waves through a ten-period barrier were evaluated through frequency–domain analysis. The attentional effects of the barriers were investigated by the time history analysis using site seismic waves. Moreover, the influence of the soil damping and material damping are separately discussed, further enhancing the assessment. The results demonstrate the present barrier can generate low-frequency band gaps and effectively attenuate seismic surface waves. These band gaps cover the primary frequencies of seismic surface waves, showing notable attenuation capabilities. In addition, the soil damping significantly contributes to the attenuation of seismic surface waves, resulting in an attenuation rate of 50%. Low-heat Portland cement and ground granulated blast furnace slag are widely used for the preparation of hydraulic concrete. Nevertheless, the effect and mechanism of corrosion on low-heat Portland cement paste mixed with ground granulated blast furnace slag need to be further explored. This paper investigated the impact of ground granulated blast furnace slag on the calcium leaching of low-heat Portland cement paste by evaluating its mass loss, porosity, leaching depth, compressive strength, and Vickers hardness, and comparing it with the leaching performance of ordinary Portland cement paste. Furthermore, the phase composition and morphology of low-heat Portland cement paste containing ground granulated blast furnace slag were analyzed by X-ray diffraction, mercury intrusion porosimetry, and scanning electron microscopy. The results indicate that, after 180 days of soaking in ammonium chloride solution, the mass loss rate, growth rate of porosity, leaching depth, and compressive strength loss rate of low-heat Portland cement paste were 8.0%, 43.6%, 9.1 mm, and 27.7%, respectively, while those of ordinary Portland cement paste were 7.4%, 37.8%, 8.4 mm, and 30.1%, indicating that low-heat Portland cement paste is slightly more damaging than ordinary Portland cement. The addition of ground granulated blast furnace slag could significantly improve the leaching resistance of low-heat Portland cement. For instance, after adding 20% ground granulated blast furnace slag, the above test values were 2.4%, 28.5%, 5.6 mm, and 20.8%, respectively. The reason for this is that ground granulated blast furnace slag has the potential to reduce the porosity of low-heat Portland cement paste, and it can also undergo the secondary hydration reaction with its hydration product Ca(OH)2 to enhance the paste structure. In order to investigate the transport law of an unsteady wake in a downstream cascade channel in a turbine stage environment, this study was based on a self-designed unsteady wake generator, and a low-pressure turbine cascade was the research object. The research was carried out through a combination of experiments and numerical simulation. The results show that in the range of −50° to 20° inflow incidence, there is no separation on the blade suction surface, the total pressure loss coefficient is low, and the cascade has good adaptability to the inflow incidence. When the incoming flow is at a negative incidence, the transport of the unsteady upstream wake to the downstream unsteady wake is basically the same; the same holds for a non-negative incidence. When the upstream unsteady wake is transported downstream in the cascade channel, the wake near the cascade suction surface follows a detour and barely interacts with the mainstream fluid. The total pressure loss fluctuation value obtained via numerical calculation shows good periodicity; therefore, the unsteady cascade effect under the action of upstream wake sweeping becomes very obvious. With the impact of size on low-pressure turbines (LPTs) increasing, the gap between the blades has shrunk, inevitably influencing the unsteady effects inside the turbine. In this study, the aerodynamic effect of the blade gap size is investigated using a compressible unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes (URANS) model on the basis of a four-stage LPT. Simulations are conducted in which the gap between the third-stage stator (S3) and rotor (R3) varies from 0.2 to 0.8 times the axial chord length of the R3 blade. The multi-stage environment reflects the complexity of real low-Reynolds flow fields. Computational fluid dynamics is used to analyze the flow field in detail. The results demonstrate that in the small-gap (AG-0.2) case, the turbulence kinetic energy (TKE) level of the S3 wake close to the R3 leading edge is four-thirds of that in the large-gap (AG-0.8) case. The higher intensity of the wake impacting on the blade results in a higher inverse pressure gradient in the rear part of the R3 suction surface, which increases the profile loss. However, the AG-0.2 case leads to fewer losses caused by the passage vortex in the hub area under the influence of the higher intensity of the wake. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The characteristics of iron minerals in cyanidation tailings with a low iron grade were determined via chemical composition analysis, iron phase analysis, and mineral liberation analysis (MLA). The results showed that the cyanidation tailings contained 15.68% iron, mainly occurring in the form of magnetite (19.66%) and limonite (79.91%), in which 16.52% magnetite and 65.90% limonite particles were fully liberated. Most ultra-fine magnetite grains were adjacent and wrapped with limonite to form complex intergrowths, which resulted in low-efficiency magnetite recovery in low-intensity magnetic separation (LIMS) and adversely affected the downstream high-gradient magnetic separation (HGMS) process. Thus, in this work, the optimization of the flow field was proposed to enhance the separation of ultra-fine magnetite from the cyanidation tailings using pilot-scale LIMS separation, and the controllable parameters (including feed flow, separation gap, drum rotating speed, and solid weight) affecting ultra-fine magnetite capture were investigated. Under optimized conditions, a high-grade magnetite concentrate assaying 63.31% Fe with 86.46% magnetite recovery was produced, which, respectively, increased by 0.76% and 15.22%, compared with those obtained from industrial production. In addition, from the flow dynamics simulation, it was found that the magnetite particles in the −6 µm ultra-fine fraction were lost much more easily than those of coarser fractions due to the relatively enhanced hydrodynamic drag force acting on the particles compared with the magnetic force. However, this loss would be effectively reduced with the regulation and control of the flow field. The iron recoveries in the −16~+6 µm and −6 µm fractions of magnetite concentrate increased by 3.66% and 4.42%, respectively, under optimized hydrodynamic conditions. Epigenetic modifications are critical in precisely regulating gene expression. The common carp (Cyprinus carpio) is an economically important fish species, and females exhibit faster growth rates than males. However, the studies related to epigenetic modifications in the common carp gonads are limited. In this study, we conducted the Assay for Transposase Accessible Chromatin sequencing (ATAC-seq) and Bisulfite sequencing (BS-seq) to explore the roles of epigenetic modifications in the common carp gonads. We identified 84,207 more accessible regions and 77,922 less accessible regions in ovaries compared to testes, and some sex-biased genes showed differential chromatin accessibility in their promoter regions, such as sox9a and zp3. Motif enrichment analysis showed that transcription factors (TFs) associated with embryonic development and cell proliferation were heavily enriched in ovaries, and the TFs Foxl2 and SF1 were only identified in ovaries. We also analyzed the possible regulations between chromatin accessibility and gene expression. By BS-seq, we identified 2087 promoter differentially methylated genes (promoter-DMGs) and 5264 gene body differentially methylated genes (genebody-DMGs) in CG contexts. These genebody-DMGs were significantly enriched in the Wnt signaling pathway, TGF-beta signaling pathway, and GnRH signaling pathway, indicating that methylation in gene body regions could play an essential role in sex maintenance, just like methylation in promoter regions. Combined with transcriptomes, we revealed that the expression of dmrtb1-like, spag6, and fels was negatively correlated with their methylation levels in promoter regions. Female common carp grow faster than male individuals, implying that rearing females could be more profitable in aquaculture. Non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) serve as versatile regulators with multiple functions in diverse biological processes. However, the roles of ncRNAs in the sex differentiation of common carp are less studied. In this study, we investigated the expression profiles of ncRNAs, including miRNAs, lncRNAs, and circRNAs, in the gonads to comprehend the roles of ncRNAs in sex differentiation in common carp. A substantial number of differentially expressed (DE) ncRNAs in ovaries and testes were identified. Some miRNAs, notably miR-205, miR-214, and miR-460-5p, might modulate hormone synthesis and thus maintain sex. A novel miRNA, novel_158, was predicted to suppress the expression of foxl3. DE lncRNAs were associated with oocyte meiosis, GnRH signaling pathways, and steroid biosynthesis, while DE circRNA target genes were enriched in the WNT signaling pathway and MAPK signaling pathway. We also analyzed ncRNA-mRNA interactions to shed light on the crosstalk between competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs), which is the critical mechanism by which lncRNAs and circRNAs function. Some lncRNAs and circRNAs may be able to competitively bind novel_313, a new miRNA, and thus regulate hsd17β3. This study investigated the impact of visual cueing on attention guidance, deep-thinking promotion, and performance optimization in arithmetic word problem solving for students with mathematical learning difficulties (MLD). The participants included eight students with MLD and twenty students without MLD who attempted to solve mathematical word problems with and without visual cueing. Eye movements were recorded during the tasks. A repeated-measure design and nonparametric tests were applied to enhance the statistical power of the study. The data analysis results indicated that visual cueing effectively guided and sustained the attention of students with MLD, reducing their off-task duration. However, it showed limited influence in facilitating deep thinking and performance improvement for these students. There were no significant attention-guidance or performance-improvement effects observed in the problem-solving processes of students without MLD, who initially demonstrated better concentration levels and performance. Plasticizers are a type of toxic substance that may remain in food, posing significant health risks including carcinogenic, teratogenic, mutagenic, and other adverse effects. In this study, a novel strategy was employed by combining Pt@Au nanozymes with high catalytic properties to created two catalytic signal probes, designated as Pt@Au@Ab1 and Pt@Au@Ab2, specifically designed for the detection of dimethyl phthalate (DMP) and dibutyl phthalate (DBP). These catalytic signal probes served as the foundation for the development of a colorimetric immunoassay, enabling the simultaneous detection of both DMP and DBP. The colorimetric immunoassay is capable of detecting DMP in the range of 0.5–100 μg/L with a limit of detection as low as 0.1 μg/L and DBP in the range of 1–32 μg/L with a low limit of detection of 0.5 μg/L. The developed immunoassay can be used for the determination of the DMP and DBP in baijiu and plastic bottled drinks. The recovery rate is in the range of 96.4% and 100.5% and the coefficient of variation is between 1.0% and 7.2%. With the proliferation and development of social media platforms, social media data have become an important source for acquiring spatiotemporal information on various urban events. Providing accurate spatiotemporal information for events contributes to enhancing the capabilities of urban management and emergency responses. However, existing research regarding mining spatiotemporal information of events often solely focuses on textual content and neglects data from other modalities such as images and videos. Therefore, this study proposes an innovative spatiotemporal information extraction method, which extracts the spatiotemporal information of events from multimodal data on Weibo at coarse- and fine-grained hierarchical levels and serves as a beneficial supplement to existing urban event monitoring methods. This paper utilizes the "20 July 2021 Zhengzhou Heavy Rainfall" incident as an example to evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of the proposed method. Results indicate that in coarse-grained spatial information extraction using only textual data, our method achieved a spatial precision of 87.54% within a 60 m range and reached 100% spatial precision for ranges beyond 200 m. For fine-grained spatial information extraction, the introduction of other modal data, such as images and videos, resulted in a significant improvement in spatial error. These results demonstrate the ability of the MIST-SMMD (Method of Identifying Spatiotemporal Information of Social Media Multimodal Data) to extract spatiotemporal information from urban events at both coarse and fine levels and confirm the significant advantages of multimodal data in enhancing the precision of spatial information extraction. The control and regulation of thermal fields is of great significance in solving various thermal management problems in human life. Benefitting from the emerging space transformation technique and thermal meta-material, thermal meta-structures with unique thermal control capabilities have been rapidly developed in recent years. However, the exploration of the functional diversity of thermal meta-materials and structures is still inadequate; most related works are still limited to the single-field control effect and lack sensitivity to external environment changes. For the designed functional structures, observation and analysis of energy fluctuations and irreversible heat loss during the regulation process of the diffusive thermal field are also scare. Therefore, in this current work, we design a thermal meta-regulator (based on the space transformation theory) that is capable of differently distributing thermal energy according to the heat input direction and switching field control pattern with the change of ambient temperature. In addition to the common indicator of temperature, we also introduce the local entropy production rate and the total entropy production in the thermo-dynamic category to carry out entropy analysis of the energy processes involved in the thermal meta-regulator, making a multi-angle evaluation of the structural performance. Furthermore, we use the statistical response surface method to explore the comprehensive/interaction effect of multiple influencing factors on the thermal meta-regulator; the derived regression equations can be used to accurately predict the structural effects under different design schemes and temperature conditions. Our work further enriches the diversity and flexibility of thermal field manipulation manners and the demonstrated functions are also expected to be realized in other physical fields. To assist in addressing the problem where an aluminum alloy formwork (AAF) deforms more greatly under the action of lateral pressure and therefore does not meet the requirements of plaster-free engineering, we propose a method for determining the geometric parameters of this formwork based on a PSO algorithm and BP neural network with ABAQUS as the platform. The influence of six geometric parameters of the formwork on the maximum deflection value of the panel under the action of lateral pressure is studied using finite element analysis. The maximum deflection value of the panel is used as the index, and the influence of each factor is analyzed with an orthogonal test, and a set of optimal geometric parameters is obtained via extreme difference analysis and analysis of variance. The sample data are obtained via finite element simulation, and the PSO-BP neural network model is established using the six factors of the orthogonal test as input values and the maximum deflection of the panel as the output value, and the optimal geometric parameters are optimized using the PSO algorithm. The results indicate that the maximum deflection for the panel in the orthogonal scheme is 1.446 mm. The PSO-BP neural network prediction model demonstrates greater accuracy and a 31.74% reduction in running time compared to the BP neural network prediction model. The optimized PSO-BP neural network prediction model scheme reveals a maximum panel deflection of 1.296 mm, a 10.37% decrease compared to the orthogonal solution. Introduction: Internal migrant workers have a great chance to experience defeat due to their low social status and economic situation. It has been reported that defeat might play a prospective role in predicting depression and anxiety; however, defeat is rarely explored among internal migrant workers due to the lack of appropriate measurement scales. The defeat scale (DS) can measure the feeling of defeat, social hierarchy reduction, and loss in social struggle. But its reliability and validity among internal migrant workers have not been reported. This study aimed to verify the content validity and structural validity of the DS among internal migrant workers in China and to explore its correlations with anxiety and depression. Methods: 1805 internal migrant workers (IMWs) were recruited by stratified multistage sampling from 16 factories in Shenzhen, China. The content validity index (CVI) was used to assess content validity. Cronbach's coefficient alpha of each factor and the total scale were calculated to assess the reliability of DS. The scree test was used to determine the number of factors. Convergent validity and discriminant validity were estimated by calculating the average variance extracted and composite reliability. Logistic regression was performed to explore the effects of DS scores on anxiety and depression. Results: Mean score of DS among IMWs was 18.42 ± 9.40. There were 606 (33.6%) IMWs who were considered to have depression symptoms, and 524 (29.0%) IMWs were considered to have anxiety symptoms. A two-factor model was obtained and fitted well (CFI = 0.956, GFI = 0.932, IFI = 0.956, RMSEA = 0.068, SRMR = 0.052). Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient for the DS was 0.92. Logistic regression showed that DS scores were positively associated with anxiety and depression among IMWs. Conclusions: DS performed well among IMWs on content validity and structural validity, and it was suitable as a measurement instrument to assess defeat among this population. Experimental and numerical studies of a linear high-loaded turbine cascade with a dual−cavity tip structure are presented in this paper. The experimental conditions contained an increase in the outlet Mach number from 0.42 to 0.92, a change in the incidence angle from −15° to 15° and an increase in the relative clearance size from 0.36% to 1.4%. The ability of the dual−cavity tip to control leakage losses and vortices is assessed using the total pressure coefficient and the Q-criterion. This research indicates that the leakage vortex interacts strongly with the passage vortex, and the change in working conditions affects the balance between the two vortices and thus the flow field structure. The experimental and numerical results prove that the dual−cavity tip can reduce losses in all operating conditions, with the best control effect reduced by 0.025 in a large clearance size condition. In addition, the leakage control effect of the blade tip structure is more influenced by the incoming flow angle and clearance size than the Mach number. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Compared to general public and residential buildings, large public buildings are often difficult to construct and have a long construction period, creating greater construction energy consumption and carbon emissions on the one hand, while generating a large amount and many types of difficult-to-track process data on the other. As such, it is difficult to measure carbon emissions and analyze various influencing factors. By realizing the simple calculation of energy consumption and carbon emissions, as well as discerning the degree of influence of various factors based on the results of influencing factors research, it is of considerable practical significance to propose energy savings and emission reductions in a targeted manner. In view of the above, this work aimed to establish a more practical calculation method to measure energy consumption and carbon emissions in the construction of large public buildings, as well as to identify the multiple influencing factors related to energy consumption and carbon emissions during the construction process. To demonstrate the practicality of our approach, quantitative calculations are carried out for a new terminal building in a certain place and from the perspective of sustainable urban construction; thus, the driving factors of the traditional STIRPAT model are extended to seven. Based on the calculation results, a modified STIRPAT model is used to analyze the comparative study of impact factors, such as population and construction machinery performance, on energy consumption and carbon emission intensity. The results show the following: (1) The energy consumption value per square meter of this terminal building is 3.43 kgce/m2, and the average carbon emission per square meter is about 13.88 kgCO2/m2, which is much larger than the national average of 6.96 kgCO2/m2, and (2) the type of energy used in the construction process has the greatest degree of influence on energy consumption and carbon emission, and the local GDP, population factor, construction machinery performance specifications, and shift usage also show a positive correlation with the growth of total energy consumption and carbon emissions. Moreover, while the government's continuous investment in energy conservation and environmental protection has reduced the total energy consumption and carbon emissions in construction, there is still considerable room for improvement. Finally, according to the results, we provide theoretical references and constructive suggestions for the low-carbon construction of large public buildings in the construction stage. With the continuous improvement of building energy-conservation requirements, both traditional concrete external insulation and internal insulation have been unable to meet energy-saving needs. In order to meet the demands of building energy-saving in the new era, new precast concrete external-wall-insulation technology should be developed. In this study, a bending static test and numerical simulation were carried out to evaluate the influence of the thickness of inner concrete wythe and insulation and the length of plate-type shear connectors on the cracking condition, bearing capacity and composite degree of a precast ceramsite-concrete-insulated sandwich panel (PCCISP) under the outside-plane load. The results show that the failure modes of four precast ceramsite-concrete-insulated sandwich panels were all ductile failure of the concrete flexural members. The ultimate bearing capacity of the PCCISP decreased with the decrease in the thickness of the inner concrete wythe. Reducing the thickness of insulation had no significant influence on the ultimate bearing capacity. When the thickness of insulation was reduced by 30%, the composite degree of rigidity and bearing capacity of the PCCISP were increased by 8.85% and 2.67%, respectively. Increasing the length of the plate-type shear connector slightly increased the ultimate bearing capacity, but it had no obvious influence on the rigidity and bearing capacity composite degree. Skeletal muscle atrophy is an important characteristic of cachexia, which can be induced by chemotherapy and significantly contributes to functional muscle impairment. Inflammation and oxidative stress are believed to play important roles in the muscle atrophy observed in cachexia, but whether programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) is affected by this condition remains unclear. PD-1 is a membrane protein that is expressed on the surface of many immune cells and plays an important role in adaptive immune responses and autoimmunity. Thus, we investigated the role and underlying mechanism of PD-1 in cisplatin-induced muscle atrophy in mice. We found that PD-1 knockout dramatically contributed to skeletal muscle atrophy. Mechanistically, we found that E3 ubiquitin-protein ligases were significantly increased in PD-1 knockout mice after cisplatin treatment. In addition, we found that PD-1 knockout significantly exacerbated cisplatin-induced skeletal muscle inflammation and oxidative stress. Moreover, we found that there were significant increases in ferroptosis-related and autophagy-related genes in PD-1 knockout mice after cisplatin treatment. Mediators of cardiac injury in preeclampsia are not well understood. Preeclamptic women have decreased cardiac global longitudinal strain (GLS), a sensitive measure of systolic function that indicates fibrosis and tissue injury. GLS is worse in preeclampsia compared to gestational hypertension, despite comparable blood pressure, suggesting that placental factors may be involved. We previously showed that Activin A, a pro-fibrotic factor produced in excess by the placenta in preeclampsia, predicts impaired GLS postpartum. Here, we hypothesized that chronic excess levels of Activin A during pregnancy induces cardiac dysfunction. Rats were assigned to sham or activin A infusion (1.25–6 µg/day) on a gestational day (GD) 14 (n = 6–10/group). All animals underwent blood pressure measurement and comprehensive echocardiography followed by euthanasia and the collection of tissue samples on GD 19. Increased circulating activin A (sham: 0.59 ± 0.05 ng/mL, 6 µg/day: 2.8 ± 0.41 ng/mL, p < 0.01) was associated with impaired GLS (Sham: −22.1 ± 0.8%, 6 µg/day: −14.7 ± 1.14%, p < 0.01). Activin A infusion (6 µg/day) increased beta-myosin heavy chain expression in heart tissue, indicating cardiac injury. In summary, our findings indicate that increasing levels of activin A during pregnancy induces cardiac dysfunction and supports the concept that activin A may serve as a possible mediator of PE-induced cardiac dysfunction. With the increasing number of cars, the demand for vehicle maintenance lifts is also increasing. The hydraulic valve is one of its core components, but there are problems with it such as inaccurate positioning and failure. In order to improve the service performance of vehicle maintenance elevators, a novel annular multi-channel magnetorheological (MR) valve structure was creatively proposed based on intelligent material MR fluid (MRF), and its magnetic circuit was designed. The influence of current, damping gap and coil turns on the pressure drop performance of the annular multi-channel MR valve was numerically studied and compared with ordinary type magnetorheological valve pressure drop performance through contrast and analysis. The influence of different loads and currents on the pressure drop performance of annular multi-channel magnetorheological valve was verified by experiments, and the reliability of numerical analysis results was verified. The results show that the single winding excitation coil is 321 to meet the demand. The pressure drop performance of the annular multi-channel magnetorheological valve is 5.6 times that of the ordinary magnetorheological valve. The load has little influence on the regulating range and performance of pressure drop of the MR valve. Compared with the common type, the pressure drop performance of the annular multi-channel MR Valve is improved by 3.7 times, which is basically consistent with the simulation results. Due to slow kinetics of oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) during discharging and charging processes, it is essential to rationally design and synthesize non-precious metal bifunctional electrocatalysts with good performance for metal-air batteries. Herein, Ag-MnFe2O4 heterojunction nanoparticles supported on N, S, P-codoped graphene (NSPG) are developed with enhanced ORR and OER bifunctional electrocatalytic activities and stability. In contrast, S, P-doped graphene (SPG) and N, P-doped graphene (NPG) show less stabilization for the heterojunction particles. For example, under alkaline conditions, the ORR half-wave potential of Ag-MnFe2O4/NSPG can reach 0.831 V, and the over potential for OER is 0.56 V at the current density 10 mA·cm−2. The development and application of emerging technologies of Industry 4.0 enable the realization of digital twins (DT), which facilitates the transformation of the manufacturing sector to a more agile and intelligent one. DTs are virtual constructs of physical systems that mirror the behavior and dynamics of such physical systems. A fully developed DT consists of physical components, virtual components, and information communications between the two. Integrated DTs are being applied in various processes and product industries. Although the pharmaceutical industry has evolved recently to adopt Quality-by-Design (QbD) initiatives and is undergoing a paradigm shift of digitalization to embrace Industry 4.0, there has not been a full DT application in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Therefore, there is a critical need to examine the progress of the pharmaceutical industry towards implementing DT solutions. The aim of this narrative literature review is to give an overview of the current status of DT development and its application in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing. State-of-the-art Process Analytical Technology (PAT) developments, process modeling approaches, and data integration studies are reviewed. The open circuit voltage (OCV) of lithium-ion batteries is widely used in battery modeling, state estimation, and management. However, OCV is a function of state of charge (SOC) and battery temperature (Tbat) and is very hard to estimate in terms of time efficiency and accuracy. This is because two problems arise in normal operations: (1) Tbat changes with the current (I), which makes it very hard to obtain the data required to estimate OCV—terminal voltage (U) data of different I under the same Tbat; (2) the difference between U and OCV is a complex nonlinear function of I and is very difficult to accurately calculate. Therefore, existing methods have to design special experiments to avoid these problems, which are very time consuming. The proposed method consists of a designed test and a data processing algorithm. The test is mainly constant current tests (CCTs) of large I, which is time-efficient in obtaining data. The algorithm solves the two problems and estimates OCV accurately using the test data. Fully rotary drilling is one of many useful technologies used for the exploitation of petroleum and geothermal resources, but fully rotating drill-strings are extremely complicated. Therefore, according to the Hamilton principle, a non-linear coupled bottom hole assembly (BHA)-bit-formation-wellbore model is proposed for BHAs with bent-housing positive displacement motor using the finite element method to investigate the dynamic behavior and steering ability under fully rotary drilling. The impact force, acceleration, axial loading, torque, and dynamic stress were simulated, and factors influencing the dynamic steering forces were investigated. The results indicate that the impact force, acceleration, axial loading, torque, and dynamic stress under fully rotary drilling are much higher than under conventional drilling. The numerical simulation and field test in well B confirmed that the rotation of the drill-string is conducive to the hold-on of the deviation angle. With the increase in the weight-on-bit, bend angle, and stabilizer height, the deflecting force on a drill bit increases. Conversely, with the increase in stabilizer diameter, the deflecting force on the drill bit decreases; the lower the deflecting force, the better the effectiveness of hold-on. With increasing deviation angle, the deflecting force on the drill bit first decreases and then increases. Epigenetic modifications are critical in precisely regulating gene expression. The common carp ( Cyprinus carpio ) is an economically important fish species, and females exhibit faster growth rates than males. However, the studies related to epigenetic modifications in the common carp gonads are limited. In this study, we conducted the Assay for Transposase Accessible Chromatin sequencing (ATAC-seq) and Bisulfite sequencing (BS-seq) to explore the roles of epigenetic modifications in the common carp gonads. We identified 84,207 more accessible regions and 77,922 less accessible regions in ovaries compared to testes, and some sex-biased genes showed differential chromatin accessibility in their promoter regions, such as sox9a and zp3 . Motif enrichment analysis showed that transcription factors (TFs) associated with embryonic development and cell proliferation were heavily enriched in ovaries, and the TFs Foxl2 and SF1 were only identified in ovaries. We also analyzed the possible regulations between chromatin accessibility and gene expression. By BS-seq, we identified 2087 promoter differentially methylated genes (promoter-DMGs) and 5264 gene body differentially methylated genes (genebody-DMGs) in CG contexts. These genebody-DMGs were significantly enriched in the Wnt signaling pathway, TGF-beta signaling pathway, and GnRH signaling pathway, indicating that methylation in gene body regions could play an essential role in sex maintenance, just like methylation in promoter regions. Combined with transcriptomes, we revealed that the expression of dmrtb1-like , spag6 , and fels was negatively correlated with their methylation levels in promoter regions. Our study on the epigenetic modifications of gonads contributes to elucidating the molecular mechanism of sex differentiation and sex maintenance in the common carp.
