This work aims to explore the Lower Silurian shale gas and tight sandstone gas accumulation conditions in the Gongtan Syncline, southeastern Sichuan Basin. The sedimentary environment, organic geochemical characteristics, reservoir characteristics, gas content, and preservation conditions of the reservoir were comprehensively analyzed. The results show that the Wufeng–Longmaxi Formation shale formed in a deep-water shelf characterized by a large thickness (50–70 m), appropriate total organic carbon content (0.5–5.47%), high maturity (2.38%), high brittle mineral content (67.10%), and large gas content (0.71–1.64 m3/t), and the formations show the good resource potential of the shale gas. The Xintan Formation formed in a lower shore phase, and the tight sandstone is locally developed with a small thickness. The Xiaoheba Formation formed in an upper-middle shore phase, and the tight sandstone is stably distributed with large thicknesses. The porosity and permeability of the two sets of sandstone are small and some natural fractures are developed in the sandstone, but the fracture filling degree is higher. The results of well logging show that there are abnormally high values of total hydrocarbon in both the Xintan Formation and Xiaoheba Formation; this indicates that tight sandstone gas is developed in the Lower Silurian strata. A comprehensive study indicates that the Lower Silurian of the Gongtan Syncline has the geological conditions for the formation of shale gas and tight sandstone gas, which are the "Two gases" with good co-exploration prospects. Two new compounds, macrolactin XY (1) and (5R, 9S, 10S)-5-(hydroxymethyl)-1,3,7-decatriene-9,10-diol (2), together with nine known compounds (3–11) were isolated from the marine Bacillus subtilis sp. 18 by the OSMAC strategy. These compounds were evaluated for antibacterial activity against six tested microorganisms. Compounds 1–5 and 7–10 showed varied antibacterial activity, with the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) ranging from 3 to 12 μg/mL. Macrolactin XY (1) was found to possess superior antibacterial activity, especially exhibiting significant effectiveness against Enterococcus faecalis. The antibacterial activity mechanism against E. faecalis was investigated. The mechanism may disrupt bacterial cell membrane integrity and permeability, and also inhibit the expression of genes associated with bacterial energy metabolism, as established by the experiments concerning cell membrane potential, SDS-PAGE electrophoresis, cell membrane integrity, and key gene expressions. In remote sensing image processing, the segmentation of clouds and their shadows is a fundamental and vital task. For cloud images, traditional deep learning methods often have weak generalization capabilities and are prone to interference from ground objects and noise, which not only results in poor boundary segmentation but also causes false and missed detections of small targets. To address these issues, we proposed a multi-branch attention fusion network (MAFNet). In the encoder section, the dual branches of ResNet50 and the Swin transformer extract features together. A multi-branch attention fusion module (MAFM) uses positional encoding to add position information. Additionally, multi-branch aggregation attention (MAA) in the MAFM fully fuses the same level of deep features extracted by ResNet50 and the Swin transformer, which enhances the boundary segmentation ability and small target detection capability. To address the challenge of detecting small cloud and shadow targets, an information deep aggregation module (IDAM) was introduced to perform multi-scale deep feature aggregation, which supplements high semantic information, improving small target detection. For the problem of rough segmentation boundaries, a recovery guided module (RGM) was designed in the decoder section, which enables the model to effectively allocate attention to complex boundary information, enhancing the network's focus on boundary information. Experimental results on the Cloud and Cloud Shadow dataset, HRC-WHU dataset, and SPARCS dataset indicate that MAFNet surpasses existing advanced semantic segmentation techniques. Integrated ocean management (IOM) aligns with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and serves as a crucial strategy for promoting the enduring health of marine ecosystems and the sustainable utilization of marine resources. An analysis of the evolution of China's integrated ocean management policy (IOMP) is crucial for providing valuable guidance in achieving sustainable growth in marine management and the marine economy for both China and other coastal nations worldwide. This paper studies the evolution characteristics, challenges, and prospects of IOMP in China since 1978 using content analysis. The findings indicate that the evolution of IOMP can be categorized into four stages: the germination period (1978–1998), the construction period (1999–2009), the systematization period (2010–2017), and the strategization period (2018–present), based on the state of international marine management. The IOMP has transitioned over time from its initial emphasis on resource development during the germination period to a strategization period that prioritizes the full development of all parts of the system. However, the ultimate goal has consistently been to achieve harmonious coexistence between people and the sea. China's IOMP has experienced a progressive development; nevertheless, it continues to encounter obstacles such as the pressing requirement to revise sea-related policies and the absence of policy alignment. The objective of this paper is to explore the evolution, challenges, and prospects of China's IOMP to better improve the land–sea coordination policy, strengthen international judicial cooperation. and provide effective policy reference for other maritime countries. With the energy structure transition and the development of the green power market, the role of electricity retailers in multi-market green power trading has become more and more important. Particularly in China, where aggressive green energy policies and rapid market transformations provide a distinct context for such studies, the challenges are pronounced. Under demand-side response, electricity retailers face the uncertainty of users' electricity consumption and incentives, which complicates decision-making processes. The purpose of this paper is to explore the optimization decision-making problem of multi-market green power trading for electricity retailers under demand-side response, with a special focus on the Chinese market due to its leadership in implementing substantial green energy initiatives and its potential to set precedents for global practices. We first construct a two-party benefit optimization model, which comprehensively considers the profit objectives for electricity retailers and utility maximization for users. Then, the model is solved by the Lagrange multiplier method and distributed subgradient algorithm to obtain the optimal solution. Finally, the effectiveness of the incentive optimization strategy under the multi-market to promote green power consumption and improve the profit of electricity retailers is verified by arithmetic simulation. The results of this study show that the incentive optimization strategy under multi-market, particularly within the Chinese context, is expected to provide a reference for electricity retailers to develop more flexible and effective trading strategies in the green power market and to contribute to the process of promoting green power consumption globally. Extended back electromotive force (EEMF)-based position sensorless field-oriented control (FOC) is widely utilized for ultra-high-speed surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motors (UHS-SPMSMs) driven fuel cell air compressors in medium-high speed applications. Unfortunately, the estimated position is imprecise due to too small EEMF under low speed operation. Hence, current-to-frequency (I-f) control is more suitable for startup. Conventional I-f methods rarely achieve the tradeoff between startup acceleration and load capacity, and the transition to sensorless FOC is mostly realized in the constant-speed stage, which is unacceptable for UHS-SPMSM considering the critical requirement of startup time. In this article, a new closed-loop I-f control approach is proposed to achieve fast and efficient startup. The frequency of reference current vector is corrected automatically based on the active power and the real-time motor torque, which contributes to damping effect for startup reliability. Moreover, an amplitude compensator of reference current vector is designed based on the reactive power, ensuring the maximum torque per ampere operation and higher efficiency. Furthermore, the speed PI controller is enhanced by variable bandwidth design for smoother sensorless transition. These theoretical advantages are validated through experiments with a 550 V, 35 kW UHS-SPMSM. Machine learning (ML) is increasingly utilized in Landslide Susceptibility Mapping (LSM), though challenges remain in interpreting the predictions of ML models. To reveal the response relationship between landslide susceptibility and evaluation factors, an interpretability model was constructed to analyze how the results of the ML model are realized. This study focuses on Zhenba County in Shaanxi Province, China, employing both Random Forest (RF) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) to develop LSM models optimized through Random Search (RS). To enhance interpretability, the study incorporates techniques such as Partial Dependence Plot (PDP), Local Interpretable Model-Agnostic Explanations (LIMEs), and Shapley Additive Explanations (SHAP). The RS-optimized RF model demonstrated superior performance, achieving an Area Under the Curve (AUC) of 0.965. The interpretability model identified the NDVI and distance from road as important factors influencing landslides occurrence. NDVI plays a positive role in the occurrence of landslides in this region, and the landslide-prone areas are within 500 m from the road. These analyses indicate the importance of improved hyperparameter selection in enhancing model accuracy and performance. The interpretability model provides valuable insights into LSM, facilitating a deeper understanding of landslide formation mechanisms and guiding the formulation of effective prevention and control strategies. Wastewater containing organic dyes has become one of the important challenges in water treatment due to its high salt content and resistance to natural degradation. In this work, a novelty adsorbent, PEI-SMA, was prepared by grafting polyethyleneimine (PEI) onto styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer (SMA) through an amidation reaction. The various factors, such as pH, adsorbent dosage, contact time, dye concentration, and temperature, which may affect the adsorption of PEI-SMA for Reactive Black 5 (RB5), were systematically investigated by static adsorption experiments. The adsorption process of PEI-SMA for RB5 was more consistent with the Langmuir isotherm model and the pseudo-second-order model, suggesting a single-layer chemisorption. PEI-SMA exhibits excellent adsorption performance for RB5 dye, with a maximum adsorption capacity of 1749.19 mg g–1 at pH = 2. Additionally, PEI-SMA exhibited highly efficient RB5 competitive adsorption against coexisting Cl− and SO42− ions and cationic dyes. The adsorption mechanism was explored, and it can be explained as the synergistic effect of electrostatic interaction, hydrogen bonding and π–π interaction. The development of polymeric materials for the repair and reinforcement of damaged sites in water has many practical applications, especially in ocean engineering. However, it is difficult to construct an anticorrosion coating in water. In addition, curing kinetics, which are the key to enhance the performance of coatings, seem to hardly be observed and regulated in an underwater condition. Herein, a novel underwater in situ repairing coating was prepared. Meanwhile, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) was applied to observe its curing behavior underwater. Adhesion tests showed that the coatings cured underwater had good adhesion to different substrate surfaces and the ideal ratio of curing agent to epoxy resin was 0.6. Long-term anticorrosive tests demonstrated that the coatings had an excellent anti-corrosion performance. The viscosity changes in different curing stages were well reflected by frequency response characteristics from Bode and Nyquist curves by EIS. Two equivalent electrical circuits were selected to simulate the impedance date at the initial and final curing stage. A formula was put forward to evaluate the curing degree during the curing process. Finally, the effects of temperature and the ingredient ratio on the reaction rate and curing degree were also investigated here. This underwater in situ repairing coating may find applications in many offshore engineering structures in marine environments, and the EIS technique has attractive development and application prospects when observing the curing information of thermosetting resin systems under special circumstances. Mortise and tenon are very important parts of gas turbine dealing operation safety. Additionally, the temperature distribution of the turbine blade and disk is affected by the heat transfer characteristics in its gap. Then, the S-shaped mortise and tenon gap were numerically studied under rotating conditions, and the flow and heat transfer characteristics were analyzed. First, the heat transfer coefficient (HTC) of the mortise and tenon surfaces was measured with thermochromic liquid crystal. Then, the numerical method was verified using the test results, and the grid independence analysis was conducted. Finally, the flow and heat transfer characteristics of the gap under static and rotating conditions were numerically studied, five different Reynolds numbers (Re = 15,000, 20,000, 25,000, 30,000, 35,000) and five gap widths (d = 1 mm, 1.5 mm, 2 mm, 2.5 mm, 3 mm) were conducted and analyzed in detail. The results show that, under the rotating condition, the pressure distribution in the gap is different from that of the static condition; the pressure increases along the radial direction due to the action of centrifugal force and reaches its maximum value at the corner of the "S" shaped structure. With the increase in Re, the heat transfer intensity of the gap increases gradually. Additionally, the heat transfer intensity of the gap increases with an increase in its width. Sensorless control of permanent magnet synchronous motors is preferable in some applications due to cost and mounting space concerns. The performance of most existing position estimation methods greatly depends on the accuracy of the motor inductance. As the estimated position should not be involved in the parameter identification process in a sensorless control system, an online inductance identification method independent of the rotor position information is developed in this paper. The proposed method utilizes the recursive least square algorithm and the particle swarm optimization algorithm to realize real-time identification of the inductance along the direct axis and the quadrature axis, respectively, based on the deduced parametric equations without position information. The proposed method is efficient enough to be implemented within 0.2 ms and does not introduce any additional signal injection. A test bench is built to validate the characteristics of the method, and the experimental results show that the identified inductance can converge to the actual value rapidly and is robust to changes in the initial values and stator current. With the proposed method, accurate estimation of the rotor position and speed can be obtained using traditional model-based position estimators, and the stability of the sensorless control system can be improved significantly. Trehalose is a non-reducing disaccharide and participates in physiological activities such as organ formation, energy metabolism, and stress resistance in insects. The Bmtret1 gene family is mainly involved in in the sugar metabolism of silkworm. In the present study, phylogenetic analysis divided 21 Bmtret1 orthologs into three clades. These genes are equally distributed on the nine chromosomes. The cis-elements in the promoter regions of Bmtret1s indicated the possible function of Bmtret1s in response to hormones and environmental stimulus. The qPCR analysis showed the significantly different expression levels of Bmtret1s in different tissues and organs, indicating possible functional divergence. In addition, most Bmtret1s showed disturbed expression levels in response to silkworm nuclear polyhedrosis virus (BmNPV) stresses. Our results provide a clue for further functional dissection of the Tret1s in Bombyx mori and implicate them as potential regulators of antiviral responses. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Arctic-derived fungus Eutypella sp. D-1 can produce numerous secondary metabolites, and some compounds exhibit excellent biological activity. Seven pimarane-type diterpenes, including three new compounds eutypellenone F (1), libertellenone Y (2), and libertellenone Z (3), and four known compounds (4–7), were isolated from fermentation broth of Eutypella sp. D-1 by the OSMAC strategy of adding ethanol as a promoter in the culture medium. Compound 2 has a rare tetrahydrofuran-fused pimarane diterpene skeleton. The anti-inflammatory activity of all compounds was evaluated. Compounds 3–6 showed a significant inhibitory effect on cell NO release at 10 μmol/L by in vitro experiments, of which 3–5 had inhibitory rates over 60% on nitric oxide (NO) release. Subsequently, the anti-inflammatory activity of 3–5 was evaluated based on a zebrafish model, and the results showed that 3 had a significant inhibitory effect on inflammatory cells migration at 40 μmol/L, while 4 and 5 had a significant inhibitory effect at 20 μmol/L. Moreover, compounds 3–5 have the same conjugated double bond structure, which may be an important group for these compounds to exert anti-inflammatory activity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Considering that a lag effect exists in R&D investment, investigating the impacts of manufacturers' resulting loss-averse behavior on R&D investment in carbon emission reduction technologies is important. This paper establishes three differential game models, namely centralized decision making, decentralized decision making with the manufacturers' rational preferences, and decentralized decision making with the manufacturers' loss-aversion preferences. The models are used to analyze the mechanism of the lag effect and loss aversion on manufacturers' R&D investment in emission reduction, based on a two-level supply chain consisting of manufacturers and retailers. This study finds that: (1) The lag effect can encourage manufacturers to invest in the R&D of emission reduction technologies. (2) There is a threshold value for the lag time, and only when the lag time is higher than this threshold value will manufacturers display loss-averse behavior. (3) When manufacturers' degree of loss aversion is small, loss-averse behavior has a negative effect on their investment in the R&D of emission reduction technologies, while the opposite has a positive effect. The growing demands for material longevity in marine environments necessitate the development of highly efficient, low-cost, and durable corrosion-protective coatings. Although magnesium alloys are widely used in the automotive and aerospace industries, severe corrosion issues still hinder their long-term service in naval architecture. In the present work, an epoxy composite coating containing sericite nanosheets is prepared on the AZ31B Mg alloy using a one-step electrophoretic deposition method to improve corrosion resistance. Due to the polyetherimide (PEI) modification, positively charged sericite nanosheets can be highly orientated in an epoxy coating under the influence of an electric field. The sericite-incorporated epoxy coating prepared in the emulsion with 4 wt.% sericite exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, with its corrosion current density being 6 orders of magnitude lower than that of the substrate. Electrochemical measurements and immersion tests showed that the highly orientated sericite nanosheets in the epoxy coating have an excellent barrier effect against corrosive media, thus significantly improving the long-term anti-corrosion performance of the epoxy coating. This work provides new insight into the design of lamellar filler/epoxy coatings with superior anticorrosion performance and shows promise in the corrosion protection of magnesium alloys. In the context of low-carbon construction, reducing carbon dioxide emissions from town construction land is the key to mitigating the problems caused by global warming. The influence of spatial form on carbon emissions has been generally recognized, but its influence at the level of town construction land is less explored. Therefore, in this study, in order to investigate the relationship between the spatial form of town construction land and carbon emissions, the relationship between them was analyzed, taking Macheng town of Bengbu city as the research object, selecting spatial form elements and quantifying them, and characterizing and accounting for the carbon emissions from the town construction land by each building's energy consumption. The study demonstrates that the spatial form elements such as building area and building storeys are important factors affecting the carbon emissions of residential land. Likewise, the building area, building shape coefficient, and floor area ratio are crucial factors impacting the carbon emissions of public lands. This research offers spatial form optimization strategies from a carbon reduction perspective by delving into the inherent relationship between spatial form and carbon emissions in town construction land. The red color of the pear peel in red-skinned European pear is due to the accumulation of anthocyanins. Numerous transcription factors play pivotal roles in anthocyanin biosynthesis, with zinc finger proteins frequently implicated in the regulation of this process via MYB10, as documented in earlier studies. In this article, we identified a zinc finger protein gene, named PbZAT12, that does not rely on PbMYB10, to regulate anthocyanin biosynthesis. The PbZAT12 protein was localized within the nucleus and exhibited a positive influence on the accumulation of anthocyanins in the peel of 'Red Zaosu' pears. Moreover, overexpression of PbZAT12 resulted in a significant up-regulation of PbDFR, PbANS, and PbUFGT expression levels in pear fruitlets. Y1H assays demonstrated a direct binding ability of PbZAT12 to proPbDFR, proPbANS, and proPbUFGT, which was supported by a dual luciferase assay, indicating its potential to activate the transcriptional activity of these promoters. However, in contrast to its effect on the aforementioned promoters, PbZAT12 did not exhibit an activation of PbMYB10. In summary, our findings suggest that a zinc finger transcription factor, PbZAT12, exerts a positive influence on anthocyanin biosynthesis in pear fruit through direct upregulation of the expression levels of PbDFR, PbANS, and PbUFGT. Tin monoselenide (SnSe), which belongs to group IV–VI monochalcogenides, has obtained significant attention in the field of photodetection owing to its ultrahigh carrier mobilities. However, the great challenges of preparing high-quality films and high-performance devices still need to be conquered. Herein, high-density continuous SnSe films were deposited on a Si substrate using magnetron sputtering technology, and a self-driven photovoltaic-type broadband photodetector from the visible light range (VIS) to the near-infrared (NIR) range based on SnSe/Si heterojunction was constructed. Owing to its high carrier mobility, narrow band gap structure, and strong internal electric field, the SnSe/Si heterojunction device exhibits an ultrafast response and high responsivity (R), which achieves a wide spectral response of 405–980 nm. Under zero bias voltage, the greatest R and detectivity (D*) of the heterojunction were 704.6 mA/W and 3.36 ×  10 11  Jones at 405 nm. Furthermore, the device had a fast response time (rise time) of 20.4 μs at 980 nm of illumination. Since the start of the industrial revolution, the manufacturing industry has been essential for economic growth but has also contributed to environmental pollution problems. The United Nations declared the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) agenda to make sure that the well-being of the global environment is taken care of alongside the expansion of the world economies. As the leading manufacturing country worldwide, studying the evolution of China's green development policies in manufacturing has significant implications for pollution management in manufacturing in other countries. This research analyzes China's legal and policy documents on green development in the manufacturing industry based on planning objectives and actual effects with qualitative content analysis. It divides them into four periods: the exploring period (1949–1977), the formal establishment period (1978–2001), the improvement and strengthening period (2002–2011), and the comprehensive improvement period (2012 to present). Although the Chinese government has made progress in implementing green development policies, it still faces many challenges: (1) compatibility between economic development and environmental protection needs to be strengthened; (2) primarily command-and-control based policy structure needs to be reformed; (3) collaboration of multi-departmental management system needs to be enhanced. These challenges are the primary obstacles to China's manufacturing industry achieving its environmental goals. The future policies for the green development of the manufacturing industry should focus on three aspects: (1) aligning environmental and manufacturing policies in setting strategic objectives and benchmarks; (2) concentrating on the systemic nature of policies and the interdependence of policy tools; (3) enhancing processes for policy creation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. In this study, soluble dietary fibers (SDFs) were extracted from rape bee pollen using four methods including acid extraction (AC), alkali extraction (AL), cellulase extraction (CL) and complex enzyme extraction (CE). The effects of different extraction methods on the structure of SDFs and in vitro fermentation characteristics were further investigated. The results showed that the four extraction methods significantly affected the monosaccharide composition molar ratio, molecular weight, surface microstructure and phenolic compounds content, but showed little effect on the typical functional groups and crystal structure. In addition, all SDFs decreased the Firmicutes/Bacteroidota ratio, promoted the growth of beneficial bacteria such as Bacteroides, Parabacteroides and Phascolarctobacterium, inhibited the growth of pathogenic bacteria such as Escherichia-Shigella, and increased the total short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) concentrations by 1.63–2.45 times, suggesting that the bee pollen SDFs had a positive regulation on gut microbiota. Notably, the SDF obtained by CE exhibited the largest molecular weight, a relatively loose structure, higher extraction yield and phenolic compounds content and the highest SCFA concentration. Anatase TiO2 hierarchically structured microspheres with co-exposed {001}/{101} facets were prepared by a facile one-pot hydrothermal method. The influences of reaction temperature on the morphology and crystallization of microspheres were investigated systematically. The obtained microspheres possessed better morphology and crystallization when the reaction temperature was 160 °C. Different noble metals (Au, Ag, Cu, Pt, Pd) were used for the microspheres modification, and the experimental results exhibited that the photocatalytic activities of the noble metal modified microspheres were enhanced obviously, especially for the Pt-modified sample (TPt), which showed the highest photocatalytic activity in degradation of tetracycline hydrochloride (the TPt sample showed the largest improvement, i.e., the activity reached 1.47 times higher than that of the bare sample) and hydrogen production (the largest improvement was also observed for the TPt sample, i.e., the activity was more than 30 times as the bare sample, reaching more than 300 μmol·g−1·h−1). Finally, a photocatalytic reaction mechanism involving the synergy of co-exposed {001}/{101} crystal facets with noble metals was proposed according to the as-obtained experimental results. Mitochondria have a crucial role in regulating energy metabolism and their dysfunction has been linked to tumorigenesis. Cancer diagnosis and intervention have a great interest in the development of new agents that target biomolecules within mitochondria. However, monitoring and modulating mitochondria RNA (mtRNA), an essential component in mitochondria, in cells is challenging due to limited functional research and the absence of targeting agents. In this study, we designed and synthesized a fluorescent quinolinium derivative, QUCO-1, which actively lit up with mtRNA in both normal and cancer cells in vitro. Additionally, we evaluated the function of QUCO-1 as an mtRNA ligand and found that it effectively induced severe mitochondrial dysfunction and OXPHOS inhibition in RKO colorectal cancer cells. The development of mobile 5G technology poses new challenges for high-frequency and high-performance filters. However, current commercial acoustic wave filters mainly focus on 4G LTE, which operates below 3 GHz. It is necessary to accelerate research on high-frequency acoustic wave filters. A high-selectivity film bulk acoustic resonator (FBAR) filter chip for the 3.4–3.6 GHz range was designed and fabricated in this paper. The design procedure includes FBAR parameter fitting, filter schematic analysis, and the generation principle of transmission zeros (TZs). The measured results show that the filter chip is of high roll-off and stopband suppression. Most of the stopband suppression is better than 35 dB. Network intrusion data are characterized by high feature dimensionality, extreme category imbalance, and complex nonlinear relationships between features and categories. The actual detection accuracy of existing supervised intrusion-detection models performs poorly. To address this problem, this paper proposes a multi-channel contrastive learning network-based intrusion-detection method (MCLDM), which combines feature learning in the multi-channel supervised contrastive learning stage and feature extraction in the multi-channel unsupervised contrastive learning stage to train an effective intrusion-detection model. The objective is to research whether feature enrichment and the use of contrastive learning for specific classes of network intrusion data can improve the accuracy of the model. The model is based on an autoencoder to achieve feature reconstruction with supervised contrastive learning and for implementing multi-channel data reconstruction. In the next stage of unsupervised contrastive learning, the extraction of features is implemented using triplet convolutional neural networks (TCNN) to achieve the classification of intrusion data. Through experimental analysis, the multichannel contrastive learning network-based intrusion-detection method achieves 98.43% accuracy in dataset CICIDS17 and 93.94% accuracy in dataset KDDCUP99. Glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4)-dependent ferroptosis in pancreatic acinar cells plays a critical role in acute pancreatitis (AP). However, potential upstream regulators of GPX4 are not well defined. Here, we observed a marked reduction in acinar GPX4 expression and ferroptotic cell death in mice with cerulein-induced AP. To determine the critical factors involved in acinar cell ferroptosis, pancreas transcriptome data from an AP mouse model were analyzed and overlapped with predicted transcription factors of Gpx4, and an upregulated transcription factor active protein 1 (AP-1) protein, Jun, was identified. The administration of a specific ferroptosis inhibitor liproxstatin-1 alleviated AP pathology and significantly decreased Jun levels. Bioinformatic analysis indicated that the Gpx4 promoter contains a putative AP-1 binding site. Jun binds directly to the Gpx4 promoter and inhibits Gpx4 transcription under pancreatic conditions. AP-1 inhibition by a selective inhibitor SR11302 reversed GPX4 reduction and ameliorated AP pathology in a GPX4-dependent manner. Collectively, our study demonstrates that the downregulation of GPX4 by AP-1 is critical in the aggravation of acinar cell ferroptosis during the progression of AP. (1) Background: Astragaloside IV (AS-IV) is derived from Astragalus membranous (AM), which is used to treat kidney disease. Macrophages significantly affect the whole process of renal ischemia-reperfusion (I/R). The regulation of macrophage polarization in kidneys by AS-IV was the focus. (2) Methods: Renal tubular injury and fibrosis in mice were detected by Hematoxylin and Eosin staining and Masson Trichrome Staining, separately. An ELISA and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction were used to explore the cytokine and mRNA expression. Western blot was used to determine protein expression and siRNA technology was used to reveal the crosstalk of signal pathways in RAW 264.7 under hypoxia. (3) Results: In the early stages of I/R injury, AS-IV reduced renal damage and macrophage infiltration. M1-associated markers were decreased, while M2 biomarkers were increased. The NF-κB (p65)/Hif-1α pathway was suppressed by AS-IV in M1. Moreover, p65 dominated the expression of Hif-1α. In the late stages of I/R injury, renal fibrosis was alleviated, and M2 infiltration also decreased after AS-IV treatment. Hif-1α expression was reduced by AS-IV, while Smad7 expression was enhanced. Hif-1α interferes with the expression of Smad7 in M2. (4) Conclusions: AS-IV promoted the differentiation of M1 to M2, relieving the proinflammatory response to alleviate the kidney injury during the early stages. Diabetes mellitus (DM), a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by high blood glucose, not only poses a serious threat to human life and health, but also places an economic burden on society. Currently available antidiabetic pharmacological agents have some adverse effects, which have stimulated researchers to explore novel antidiabetic agents with different mechanisms of action. G-protein Coupled Receptor 120 (GPR120), also known as free fatty acid receptor 4 (FFAR4), which is activated by medium-chain and long-chain fatty acids, has emerged as an interesting potential target for the treatment of metabolic disorders. Herein, we designed and synthesized a series of novel GPR120 agonists based on the structure of TUG-891, which is susceptible to β-oxidation and loses its GPR120 agonistic activity in vivo. Among the designed compounds, 14d showed excellent agonistic activity and selectivity and could improve glucose tolerance in normal mice in a dose-dependent manner. In addition, the compound 14d displayed good antidiabetic effects in diet-induced obese (DIO) mice and elevated insulin levels. Molecular simulations illustrated that compound 14d could enter the active site of GPR120 and interact with ARG99, which plays an important role in GPR120 activation. Grasshoppers can swarm in the millions and destroy crops over wide areas, posing a major economic threat to agriculture. A wide range of insect-related viruses has recently been reported in the metagenomics of grasshoppers. Here, we identified and isolated a novel reovirus from grasshoppers, named Acrididae reovirus (ARV). The complete genome of ARV was composed of nine dsRNA segments. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that ARV formed a monophyletic lineage with unclassified insect-associated reoviruses and was sufficiently distinct from known genera of Reoviridae. ARV could replicate in its host Locusta migratoria and result in host death. Lower-dose ARV infection affected ovary development and resulted in a significant reduction in fecundity. To study the seismic performance of hollow columns with fiber lightweight aggregate concrete, a quasi-static test on eight hollow columns with fiber lightweight aggregate concrete under lateral low-cycle reversed loading and axial force is presented in this article. The effects of the dosage of plastic-steel fibers (0, 3, 6 and 9 kg/m3, respectively), steel fibers (25, 50 and 75 kg/m3, respectively) and the axial compression ratio (0.4 and 0.6, respectively) on the seismic mechanical properties such as capacity under lateral load, stiffness, ductility and energy dissipation were investigated, and the main failure morphology and force mechanism of hollow columns with fiber lightweight aggregate concrete under lateral low-cycle reversed loading were revealed. The results showed that (1) the failure modes of hollow columns could be divided into shear failure, bending-shear failure and bending failure; (2) compared with the specimens without fiber, the increase in ductility coefficient of specimens with plastic-steel fiber was 2~33.7%, and that with steel fiber was 30.8~125.7%; the increase in cumulative energy dissipation of specimens with plastic-steel fiber was 5.3~43.7%, and that with steel fiber was 88.9~203.8%, thus indicating that the seismic performance of the specimens could be improved effectively via the incorporation of fibers. The formula of shear capacity under lateral load was proposed, and its calculation results were more reliable when compared with the actual project. Taking "blue granary" as the research object, this study focuses on the mechanism and evolution of coupling coordination relationship between green transformation and the quality of economic development, to explore the path of sustainable development. Firstly, the theoretical framework of coupling relationship between green transformation and the quality of development is constructed. Secondly, an evaluation index system is established to measure green transformation and the quality of economic development. Thirdly, the entropy approach and coupled coordination degree model are used to calculate the coordination of green transformation and the quality of economic development in different provinces in China from 2009 to 2018. The results show that: (1) Green transformation affects the quality of economic development through resource effect, social effect, and technological effect; the quality of economic development affects green transformation through new growth momentum effect, income distribution effect, scale effect, and opening up effect. (2) Both the quality of economic development and the level of green transformation continue to improve, but the growth rate of green transformation is relatively slow. (3) The overall coupled coordination relationship improves from a barely balanced stage to a favorably balanced stage, but it has not reached the ideal state of superiorly balanced, and there is significant regional heterogeneity. It will help to clarify the difference in coordinated development levels in different regions and provide a reference value for the precise implementation of eco-economic coordinated development. The complex spatial environment of underground commercial street spaces will affect users' behavior and information needs. As a medium to coordinate the interaction between the underground commercial street space environment and people, guide signs can provide useful information for users. However, the visual saliency of guide signs is the fundamental premise for determining the transmission of information to users. Based on field research, this study identified and examined the factors influencing the significance of guide signs in underground commercial streets from the user's perspective using the order relation analysis method (G1 method) and with the help of screen-based eye tracking and virtual reality (VR) eye-tracking technology, In addition, we explored the design relationship between critical influencing factors and the space between underground commercial streets, and the visual significance of the differences between each important influencing variable. The study showed that the set position, set height, and design color of underground commercial street guide signs are essential factors in their visual prominence. The prominence was more significant when the position of guide signs was located in the middle and upper area of the space, and the prominence was more significant when the set height was 2.56~2.75 m and 3.12~3.31 m. This study can provide data and theoretical support for the visual saliency design of underground commercial street guide signs and provide a reference for the humanized design of underground commercial street guide signs for public facilities in cities. The through-plane permeability is of great importance for understanding the transport phenomenon in anisotropic fibrous porous material. In this paper, a novel pore-scale model based on the equilateral triangle representative unit cell (RUC) and capillary bundle model is developed for the fluid flow through the anisotropic fibrous porous material according to fractal theory, and the effective through-plane permeability is presented accordingly. The digital structures of the fibrous porous material are generated by a fractal stochastic method (FSM), and the single-phase fluid flow through the 3D-reconstructed model is simulated by using the finite element method (FEM). It was found that the effective through-plane permeability depends on the fiber column size, porosity, and fractal dimensions for pore and tortuosity. The results show that the predicted through-plane permeability by the present fractal model indicates good agreement with numerical results and available experimental data as well as empirical formulas. The dimensionless through-plane permeability is positively correlated with the porosity and negatively correlated with the fractal dimensions for pore and tortuosity at certain porosity. Background: Shear wave elastography ultrasound (SWE) is an emerging non-invasive candidate for assessing kidney stiffness. However, its prognostic value regarding kidney injury is unclear. Methods: A prospective cohort was created from kidney biopsy patients in our hospital from May 2019 to June 2020. The primary outcome was the initiation of renal replacement therapy or death, while the secondary outcome was eGFR < 60 mL/min/1.73 m2. Ultrasound, biochemical, and biopsy examinations were performed on the same day. Radiomics signatures were extracted from the SWE images. Results: In total, 187 patients were included and followed up for 24.57 ± 5.52 months. The median SWE value of the left kidney cortex (L_C_median) is an independent risk factor for kidney prognosis for stage 3 or over (HR 0.890 (0.796–0.994), p < 0.05). The inclusion of 9 out of 2511 extracted radiomics signatures improved the prognostic performance of the Cox regression models containing the SWE and the traditional index (chi-square test, p < 0.001). The traditional Cox regression model had a c-index of 0.9051 (0.8460–0.9196), which was no worse than the machine learning models, Support Vector Machine (SVM), SurvivalTree, Random survival forest (RSF), Coxboost, and Deepsurv. The mapping relationships between the conductivity properties are not only of great importance for understanding the transport phenomenon in porous material, but also benefit the prediction of transport parameters. Therefore, a fractal pore-scale model with capillary bundle is applied to study the fluid flow and heat conduction as well as gas diffusion through saturated porous material, and calculate the conductivity properties including effective permeability, thermal conductivity and diffusion coefficient. The results clearly show that the correlations between the conductivity properties of saturated porous material are prominent and depend on the way the pore structure changes. By comparing with available experimental results and 2D numerical simulation on Sierpinski carpet models, the proposed mapping relationships among transport properties are validated. The Quercus wutaishanica forest influences the ecological environment and climate characteristics and plays an important ecological role in the Loess Plateau region. However, we still know relatively little about the genetic diversity and spatial distribution of Q. wutaishanica. Here, we assessed the genetic diversity of Q. wutaishanica using simple sequence repeats and used the point pattern method to analyze the spatial distribution patterns as well as intraspecific relationships. Our results indicate that the diameter structure of the Q. wutaishanica population was inverted J-type, showing a growing population. In addition, the population maintained high genetic diversity on a small scale. Due to dispersal constraints, the spatial distribution pattern of Q. wutaishanica seedlings (DBH < 1 cm) tended to aggregate at small scales and the degree of aggregation decreased with increasing spatial scale. However, trees (DBH > 5 cm) and saplings (1 cm ≤ DBH < 5 cm) showed more random distribution at the scale, indicating that Q. wutaishanica individuals shift from aggregation to random distribution at the spatial scale. In addition, although individuals of different diameter classes showed facilitative (trees vs. saplings, 5–6.5 m) and competitive effects (trees vs. seedlings, 13.5–16 m) on some scales, they showed no correlation on other scales, especially for saplings and seedlings, where they were not correlated on any scale. The results contribute to revealing the status and dynamics of Q. wutaishanica in the Loess Plateau, thereby providing a theoretical basis for further study on the maintenance mechanism of the population. A series-parallel hybrid banana-harvesting robot was previously developed to pick bananas, with inverse kinematics intractable to an address. This paper investigates a deep reinforcement learning-based inverse kinematics solution to guide the banana-harvesting robot toward a specified target. Because deep reinforcement learning algorithms always struggle to explore huge robot workspaces, a practical technique called automatic goal generation is first developed. This draws random targets from a dynamic uniform distribution with increasing randomness to facilitate deep reinforcement learning algorithms to explore the entire robot workspace. Then, automatic goal generation is applied to a state-of-the-art deep reinforcement learning algorithm, the twin-delayed deep deterministic policy gradient, to learn an effective inverse kinematics solution. Simulation experiments show that with automatic goal generation, the twin-delayed deep deterministic policy gradient solved the inverse kinematics problem with a success rate of 96.1% and an average running time of 23.8 milliseconds; without automatic goal generation, the success rate was just 81.2%. Field experiments show that the proposed method successfully guided the robot to approach all targets. These demonstrate that automatic goal generation enables deep reinforcement learning to effectively explore the robot workspace and to learn a robust and efficient inverse kinematics policy, which can, therefore, be applied to the developed series-parallel hybrid banana-harvesting robot. Pseudorabies virus (PRV) is one of the most important pathogens causing serious diseases and leads to huge economic losses in the global swine industry. With the continuous emergence of PRV variants and the increasing number of cases of human infection, there is an urgent need to develop antiviral drugs. In this study, we discover that Glycyrrhiza polysaccharide (GCP) has anti-PRV infection activity in vitro, and 600 μg/mL GCP can completely block viral infection. The addition of GCP simultaneously with or after PRV infection had a significant inhibitory effect on PRV. Addition of GCP at different times of the virus life cycle mainly led to the inhibition of the attachment and internalization of PRV but does not affect viral replication and release. Metabolic syndrome is a significant worldwide public health challenge and is inextricably linked to adverse renal and cardiovascular outcomes. The inhibition of the transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily C member 6 (TRPC6) has been found to ameliorate renal outcomes in the unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO) of accelerated renal fibrosis. Therefore, the pharmacological inhibition of TPRC6 could be a promising therapeutic intervention in the progressive tubulo-interstitial fibrosis in hypertension and metabolic syndrome. In the present study, we hypothesized that the novel selective TRPC6 inhibitor SH045 (larixyl N-methylcarbamate) ameliorates UUO-accelerated renal fibrosis in a New Zealand obese (NZO) mouse model, which is a polygenic model of metabolic syndrome. The in vivo inhibition of TRPC6 by SH045 markedly decreased the mRNA expression of pro-fibrotic markers (Col1α1, Col3α1, Col4α1, Acta2, Ccn2, Fn1) and chemokines (Cxcl1, Ccl5, Ccr2) in UUO kidneys of NZO mice compared to kidneys of vehicle-treated animals. Renal expressions of intercellular adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM-1) and α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) were diminished in SH045- versus vehicle-treated UUO mice. Furthermore, renal inflammatory cell infiltration (F4/80+ and CD4+) and tubulointerstitial fibrosis (Sirius red and fibronectin staining) were ameliorated in SH045-treated NZO mice. We conclude that the pharmacological inhibition of TRPC6 might be a promising antifibrotic therapeutic method to treat progressive tubulo-interstitial fibrosis in hypertension and metabolic syndrome. A π-conjugated small molecule N, N'-bis(naphthalen-1-yl)-N, N'-bis(phenyl)benzidine (NPB) was introduced into poly(9-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) as a hole transport layer (HTL) in inverted perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The NPB doping induces a better perovskite crystal growth, resulting in perovskite with a larger grain size and less defect density. Thus, the VOC, JSC, and FF of the PSC were all enhanced. Experimental results show that it can be ascribed to the reduction of surface roughness and improved hydrophilicity of the HTL. The effect of NPB on the aggregation of PVK was also discussed. The unpredictable coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) has led to a sudden and massive demand for face masks, leading to severe plastic pollution. Here, we propose a method for manufacturing biodegradable masks using high-precision 3D printing technology, called "TRespirator", mainly made of banana leaves and dental floss silk fibers. By adding plastic recycling waste appropriately, TRespirator can achieve similar protection and mechanical properties as N95 masks. In addition, microorganisms attracted during the degradation of plant fibers will accelerate the degradation of microplastics. Bio-fermentation technology has been successfully developed for ensiling rice straw; however, its effects on the particle-attached microbial community remains unknown. Therefore, rice straw (RS) and bio-fermented rice straw (BFRS) were used as substrates for in vitro rumen fermentation to investigate the effect of bio-fermentation on particle-attached microbial community, as well as their effects on gas and methane production, fermentation products, and fiber degradation. Our results have shown that total gas production, fiber degradation, and in vitro fermentation products were significantly higher (p < 0.05) for the BFRS than the RS, while methane concentration in total gas volume was significantly lower (p < 0.05) for the BFRS than RS. Linear discriminant effect size (LefSe) analysis revealed that the relative abundance of the phyla Bacteroidetes, Fibrobacteres, Proteobacteria, and Lantisphaerae, as well as the genera Fibrobacter, Saccharofermentans, and [Eubacterium] ruminantium groups in the tightly attached bacterial community, was significantly higher (p < 0.05) for the BFRS than the RS, whereas other microbial communities did not change. Thus, bio-fermentation altered the tightly attached bacterial community, thereby improving gas production, fiber degradation, and fermentation products. The effect of plasmon-induced hot carriers (HCs) enables the possibility of applying semiconductors with wide band gaps to visible light catalysis, which becomes an emerging research field in environmental protections. Continued efforts have been made for an efficient heterostructure photocatalytic process with controllable behaviors of HCs. Recently, it has been discovered that the improvement of the utilization of HCs by band engineering is a promising strategy for an enhanced catalytic process, and relevant works have emerged for such a purpose. In this review, we give an overview of the recent progress relating to optimized methods for designing efficient photocatalysts by considering the intrinsic essence of HCs. First, the basic mechanism of the heterostructure photocatalytic process is discussed, including the formation of the Schokkty barrier and the process of photocatalysis. Then, the latest studies for improving the utilization efficiency of HCs in two aspects, the generation and extraction of HCs, are introduced. Based on this, the applications of such heterostructure photocatalysts, such as water/air treatments and organic transformations, are briefly illustrated. The current methods for evaluating the contact condition between concrete and lining were the ground penetrating radar (GPR) and the coring method. The penetration of radar electromagnetic waves was greatly affected by steel reinforcement and water, which often made the detection results of GPR unsatisfactory. A spectral analysis of the surface wave (SASW) method was used to evaluate the concrete-bedrock interface condition for hydraulic tunnel linings in this paper, since the impact elastic wave is less affected by steel bars and water content. An SASW implementation program based on fast Fourier transformation (FFT) was developed to analyze data from numerical simulations and field tests. Various models were studied to investigate the feasibility of using numerical analysis. For the first time, the study was employed to find out the influences of different receiver spacings and impact duration on the efficiency of detecting the existence of a weak layer underneath the concrete using the SASW method. On this basis, in-situ tests were carried out to verify the applicability in the field and results were verified by coring. In the research, the following results were found: (1) The finite element analysis results of different uniform or layered models showed that the SASW method could accurately identify the interface contact condition between the concrete lining and bedrock, especially the existence of voids; (2) when the receiver spacing was 1.0–1.5 times the thickness of the target object to be inspected, the quality of the collected signal data was the best; (3) under a certain reasonable range, the impact duration had an insignificant effect on the phase spectra and dispersion curves of a concrete-weak layer model; (4) in-situ SASW inspection could accurately tell whether the voids exist at the concrete-bedrock interface; and (5) the data processing program of the SASW method based on the MATLAB platform was accurate, convenient, and worth promoting. Cultivation of woody oil plants in environmentally suitable habitats is a successful ecological solution for oil development and forest management. In this study, we predicted the influences of future climate change on the potentially suitable climatic distribution of an important woody oil plant species (walnut; Juglans regia L.) in China based on given climate change scenarios and the maximum entropy (MaxEnt) model. The MaxEnt model showed that the minimum temperature of the coldest month and annual precipitation were the most important determinant variables limiting the geographical distribution of J. regia. We have found that the current suitable environmental habitat of J. regia is mainly distributed in central and southwestern China. Results of the MaxEnt model showed that global warming in the coming half-century may lead to an increase in the area size of environmentally suitable habitats for J. regia in China, indicating more lands available for artificial cultivation and oil production. However, those suitable habitat gains may be practically inaccessible due to over-harvest and urban development, and effective management strategies are urgently needed to establish those forests. This research will provide theoretical suggestions for the protection, cultivation management, and sustainable utilization of J. regia resources to face the challenge of global climate change. Mariculture areas are an important non-renewable natural resource and continuously improving their efficiency is important for increasing mariculture output and adjusting its structure. The aim of this study was to measure the mariculture area production efficiency (MAPE) considering undesirable outputs, further analyze its spatiotemporal disparities, and analyze the reasons for the differences observed during the period from 2008 to 2019. The super-efficiency Engel–Blackwell–Miniard (S-EBM) model and global Malmquist–Luenberger (GML) index was selected to analyze the technical efficiency and productivity of MAPE from both the static and dynamic aspects, and the Theil index was used to decompose the regional differences. The results showed that the MAPE showed fluctuation and an increasing trend overall; the production efficiency and technical progress showed a fluctuating rising trend, and technical progress had a significant driving effect on the production efficiency; and intra-regional differences were the main factors that cause the differences in MAPE. The findings suggest the increase of scientific and technological investment in mariculture, changes in mariculture methods, the establishment of environmental monitoring centers in mariculture areas, and the sharing of information technology between regions to achieve sustainable development. Nonradiative recombination losses caused by defects in the perovskite layer seriously affects the efficiency and stability of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Hence, defect passivation is an effective way to improve the performance of PSCs. In this work, trichloromelamine (TCM) was used as a defects passivator by adding it into the perovskite precursor solution. The experimental results show that the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of PSC increased from 18.87 to 20.15% after the addition of TCM. What's more, the environmental stability of PSCs was also improved. The working mechanism of TCM was thoroughly investigated, which can be ascribed to the interaction between the –NH– group and uncoordinated lead ions in the perovskite. This paper presents a new signal demodulator for ultra-high frequency (UHF) radio frequency identification (RFID) tag chips. The demodulator is used to demodulate amplitude shift keying (ASK) modulated signals with the advantages of high noise immunity, large input range and low power consumption. The demodulator consists of a charge pump, an envelope detector, and a comparator. In particular, the demodulator provides a hysteresis input signal to the comparator through two envelope detectors, resulting in better noise immunity. The demodulator is based on a standard 0.13 µm CMOS process. The demodulator is suitable for demodulating high frequency signals at 900 MHz with a data rate of 128 Kbps and can operate up to 78 °C. The input signal has a peak of 1.2 V and consumes as little as 113.6 nW. The demodulator also has a noise immunity threshold of approximately 3.729 V. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Cyprinid herpesvirus 2 (CyHV-2), a member of the Alloherpesviridae family belonging to the genus Cyprinivirus, is a fatal contagious aquatic pathogen that affects goldfish (Carassius auratus) and crucian carp (Carassius carassius). Although crucian carp and goldfish belong to the genus Carassius, it is unclear whether they are susceptible to the same CyHV-2 isolate. In addition, the origin of the crucian carp-derived CyHV-2 virus isolate remains unclear. CyHV-2 SH01 was isolated during herpesviral hematopoietic necrosis disease (HVHN) outbreaks in crucian carp at a local fish farm near Shanghai. CyHV-2 SH01 was confirmed by PCR and Western blot analysis of kidney, spleen, muscle, and blood tissue from the diseased crucian carp. Moreover, histopathological and ultra-pathological analyses revealed pathological changes characteristic of CyHV-2 SH01 infection in the tissues of the diseased crucian carp. In the present study, goldfish and crucian carp were challenged with CyHV-2 SH01 to elucidate viral virulence. We found that CyHV-2 SH01 could cause rapid and fatal disease progression in goldfish and crucian carp 24 h post-injection at 28 °C. Experimental infection of goldfish by injection indicated that the average virus titer in the kidney of the goldfish was 103.47 to 103.59 copies/mg. In addition, tissues exhibited the most prominent histopathological changes (cellular wrinkling and shrinkage, cytoplasmic vacuolation, fusion of the gill lamellae, and hepatic congestion) in CyHV-2 SH01-infected goldfish and crucian carp. Thus, crucian carp and goldfish showed a high sensitivity, with typical symptoms, to HVHN disease caused by CyHV-2 SH01. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) are ubiquitous in the environment, with previous studies mainly focusing on the terrestrial ecosystem, which is prone to higher antibiotic application. However, the characteristics, distribution pattern, and driving factors of soil ARGs at the macro scale are still unclear. In this study, the soil ARGs, antibiotics, mobile genetic elements (MGEs), soil properties, toxic metals, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and bacterial community in the Taipu River Basin were analyzed to investigate the distribution and dissemination of ARGs at a watershed scale. The results revealed that ARGs were widespread in the soils along the Taipu River, and that ARG profiles varied greatly with different types of land use, but showed regional similarities. The characteristics were mainly determined by antibiotic input and the ARG transmission mediated by MGEs. The order of the contribution of environmental factors to ARG distribution was toxic metals > PAHs > soil properties. Toxic metal pollution was coupled with ARGs through MGE mediation, while PAHs and soil properties were most likely to affect the ARG distribution by shifting the bacterial community. The microbial–ecological relationship changed significantly with the enrichment of ARGs, and its impact may extend to the watershed scale. Transposon IS1247 can be used as an indicator of the ARGs impact on the microbial ecological relationship in the soils of the Taipu River Basin. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
