The State of Maryland with support from the U.S. Fish andWildlife Service Boating Infrastructure Grant Program (BIG)has made investments in the state's boating industrythrough projects supporting construction, renovation, andmaintenance of tie-up facilities with features for recreationaltransient boaters. Transient boating refers to using a vessel26 feet or longer to travel to destinations for up to 15 days.
