A further study of the spider genus Clubiona Latreille, 1804 from Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China is presented. A total of ten species, eight of which new to science, are here addressed, raising from 18 to 27 the number of species of the genus known to the area. Clubiona didentata Zhang & Yin, 1998 is redescribed based on new specimens from type locality, with the first description of the female. C. kai Jäger & Dankittipakul, 2010 is newly recorded from China, and the female is reported for the first time. Seven of the new species here described belongs to four species groups: C. cochlearis sp. nov. (♂) and C. tiane sp. nov. (♂) from the C. corticalis species-group; C. tongi sp. nov. (♂♀) from the C. hystrix species-group; C. yueya sp. nov. (♂♀) and C. zhanggureni sp. nov. (♂) from the C. japonica species-group; and C. bicornis sp. nov. (♂) and C. subasrevida sp. nov. (♂♀) from the C. trivialis species-group. The eighth new species, C. jiandan sp. nov. (♂♀) is not readily assignable to any of the existing species groups.

This checklist records 631 spider species and subspecies belonging to 49 families in Israel. Species distributions are given in both generalised (by main geographic areas of the country) and detailed (by localities) form. Twenty-seven records are considered as doubtful and another ten are based on misidentifications. A historical survey is provided. Each record is presented in its original combination. The list is dominated by members of the families Gnaphosidae and Salticidae (20.0% and 17.1% of total species, respectively). The level of regional endemism exceeds 37.0%.

The present paper deals with three Clubioninae species. The genus Pristidia Deeleman-Reinhold, 2001 is recorded for the firsttime from China, and a new species, P. ramosa sp. nov., is described from Mt. Jinggang of Jiangxi province, China. Theconspecific male of Clubiona linzhiensis Hu, 2001 is described for the first time. Clubiona dactyla Zhang & Zhu, 2009 is proposed as a junior synonym of C. altissimoides Liu et al., 2007.

The New Zealand spider Clubiona blesti Forster, 1979 is redescribed, with the male described for the first time, and a pre-liminary molecular phylogenetic analysis of cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) mtDNA sequences for eight species ofNew Zealand Clubiona and an outgroup from Tasmania is presented.There is considerable intraspecific variation in C. blesti, both genetic and in the morphology of copulatory organs,which may be explained by its wide distribution. The lack of a geographic structure based on consistent differences be-tween populations may suggest great dispersal ability. Given the limited sample size, further sampling and data on addi-tional genetic markers will be necessary to confirm this.The phylogenetic analysis of seven more species indicated that Clubiona cambridgei is the sister species of C. blesti and confirmed the existence of at least two monophyletic groups among the New Zealand Clubiona: species with a striped abdomen and with a spotted abdomen.

Examination of a collection of the spider genus Clubiona Latreille, 1804 from northern and northeastern Thailand results in recognition of seven species, six of which belong to the japonica-group. Two new records in Thailand are added here (C. melanosticta Thorell, 1890 and C. filicata O. P.-Cambridge, 1874) and five species are new to science (C. campylacantha sp. n., C. octoginta sp. n., C. filifera sp. n., C. suthepica sp. n., C. abnormis sp. n.). Consequently, a total of twelve Clubiona species are hitherto known to occur in the kingdom. Special characters of the female genitalia of the japonica-group are investigated and their significance in taxonomic placement is discussed. The presently recognized species treated here are probably only a fraction of the actual Thai fauna.

The taxonomic knowledge of the spider fauna of Quebec (Canada) is updated with new records, corrections, recent taxonomic changes, and additions to the species list. Illustrations are provided for species not previously reported for the province. The following species are reported for the first time: Araneidae: Araneus iviei (Archer 1951), Araneus juniperi (Emerton 1884), Araneus thaddeus (Hentz 1847), Araneus washingtoni Levi 1971; Clubionidae: Elaver excepta (L. Pickard-Cambridge 1875, Ceratinopsis nigripalpis Emerton 1882, Eridantes utibilis Crosby & Bishop 1933, Pocadicnemis pumila (Blackwall 1841), Sciastes extremus Holm 1967, Scotinotylus vernalis (Emerton 1882), Thyreosthenius parasiticus (Westring 1851); Nesticidae: Nesticus cellulanus (Clerck 1757); Philodromidae: Philodromus histrio (Latreille 1819), Philodromus oneida Levi 1951; Salticidae: Pellenes montanus (Emerton 1894), Synageles canadensis Cutler 1988; Tetragnathidae: Tetragnatha guatemalensis O. Pickard-Cambridge 1889; Theridiidae: Achaearanea conjuncta (Gertsch & Mulaik 1936), Enoplognatha intrepida (Sorensen 1898), Euryopis gertschi Levi 1951, Pholcomma hirsutum Thorell 1869, Theridion impressum L. Koch 1881; Thomisidae: Xysticus fraternus Banks 1895, and Zodariidae: Zodarion rubidum Simon 1914. Collecting data, overview of distribution, and a diagnosis are provided for each added species. The spider fauna of Quebec is discussed in light of these new records, and the value of such faunistic/taxonomic work is stressed.
