Xenysmoderodes Yoshitake, 2007, belonging to the tribe Mecysmoderini, was described as a monotypic genus from Japan, including the species X. sasajii Yoshitake. Two new species, X. concavus sp. nov. and X. flos sp. nov., are described here fromChina, providing a new country record for this genus. We revise the description of the genus based on three species and present an updated key to the species.

Homorosoma horridulum Voss 1958 (Curculionidae: Ceutorhynchinae) was described from Kuatun, China, based on two specimens in the J. Klapperich collection. Since that time it has been uninvestigated for more than half a century, except by Colonnelli (2004), who listed it in his world catalogue of the subfamily. The recent examination of the holotype of H. horridulum revealed that it should be placed in the genus Scleropteroides Colonnelli 1979. In addition, Scleropteroides specimens from Taiwan agree well with the holotype of H. horridulum not only in general appearance but also in male genital structures. Here we transfer Homorosoma horridulum Voss 1958 to the genus Scleropteroides Colonnelli 1979 as Scleropteroides horridulus (Voss 1958) and record the species from Taiwan for the first time. The genus Rhinoncomimus Wagner, 1940 includes seven species from Eastern Asia. One new species, Rh. continuus sp. nov. from Yunnan, China, is described. Habitus photos, illustrations and descriptions of all species except Rh. rubripes Korotyaev, 2006 (a possible junior synonym of R. niger Chujo and Morimoto, 1959) are provided in detail, as well as key to species and distribution maps. In addition, the host plant of the type species Rh. klapperichi Wagner, 1940, Polygonum hydropiper L. (Polygonaceae) is newly recorded.

The genus Pelenomus Thomson from China is revised and six species are found occurring in China. Among them, P. curvatus, sp. nov. is described from Yunnan province, and four species are newly recorded from China: P waltoni (Boheman, 1843), P. canaliculatus (Fahraeus, 1843), P. quadricorniger (Colonnelli, 1986) and P roelofsi (Hustache, 1916). Taxonomic diagnosis, habitus photos, detailed illustrations and distribution map of each species are provided, as well as a key to all the Chinese species. This study raised the number of Chinese Pelenomus from one to six species.

Hainokisaruzo wuyishanensis Huang, Yoshitake & Zhang, sp. n., and H. fulvus Huang, Yoshitake & Zhang, sp. n., are described from the Wuyishan Mountains of Fujian Province, southeastern China. Hainokisaruzo wuyishanensis is characterized by a slender rostrum, narrow brownish scales covering the elytra, three white bands of narrow scales, large apical mucrones on the mid and hind tibiae in the male, and a large, deep, semicircular concavity on the male ventrite V. In addition, the female pygidium lacks a carina, the spiculum gastrale is robust and bent leftward in dorsal view and the aedeagal body is roundly broadened before the apex and then constricts rapidly and projects acutely apicad. Hainokisaruzo fulvus is characterized by a stouter rostrum, narrow black scales covering the elytra, three white bands of elliptical scales, large apical mucrones on the middle and hind tibiae in the male, shallowly concave pygidia in both sexes, a large, deep, transverse, kidney-shaped concavity on the male ventrite V, a slender spiculum gastrale that is bent rightward in dorsal view and an aedeagal body that is gradually constricted and bluntly projected toward the apex. A checklist of the genus is also provided.

Watanabesaruzo yunnanensis sp. nov. is described from Yunnan Province, China. It is a peculiar species of Watanabesaruzo Yoshitake et Yamauchi and represents a new record for the genus in China. The genus Watanabesaruzo was erected by Yoshitake and Yamauchi (2002) based on two species, W. taimeii and W. malayanus. A key to the three species is presented. The type specimen is deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, China.

Ceutorhynchus doganlari sp. n. is described from Eastern Mediterranean Turkish region. Ceutorhynchus doganlari is closely related to C. karamani G. Müller and lives on Alyssum murale Waldst. et Kit.
