The article reports on research which investigated the effects static stretching had on the performance of multiple sets in the bench press (BP) exercise. Researchers evaluated 15 men who performed the bench press and either stretched or did not. They found that the performance of multiple sets in the BP exercise did not seem to be influenced by static stretching.
