Abstract

The article presents the results of an assessment of patients with chronic nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (CNVAF) in a routine care setting, using anticoagulation quality and record documentation. Subjects of the study include four regions in the U.S. including California, Massachusetts, Indiana and North Carolina. It was found that there are serious deficiencies in documentation and quality of routine medical care of anticoagulation for CNVAF patients.
